Product Description

Kratos is an ex-Spartan soldier possessed by Ares, the God of War. Over time, he becomes the most vicious warrior in Ancient Greece to a point where he can't bare it anymore and sets out on a journey to kill Ares. However, the only way to destroy Ares is to find Pandora's Box, which is located in a temple that's perched upon a hill and guarded by traps, puzzles, enemies, etc. The story is told as a flashback of three weeks prior to where the opening movie starts and then sets the stage for the g ... Features

  • GOD OF WAR introduces a brutal slice of life set in the mythological Greek era. Players can live according to their own nature. Even if it is by brute force.
  • Defining the next evolution in gaming, GOD OF WAR presents an explosive gameplay mix: raw melee combat fused with traps, stunts and story driven puzzles.
  • Huge collection of moves: players can swing on ropes, scale mountain cliffs, swim through rivers, slide down zip lines.
  • GOD OF WAR delivers an extensive combat system based on uniquely linking combos for a myriad of fighting moves. Take the combat in air, take out a number of enemies at once, and utilize "context sensitive moves" moves that in particular situations, allow you to grab, kick or throw an enemy.
  • Kratos' main weapons are two blades one attached to each arm by a long chain that wraps around his arm. This allows for both short-range and long-range attacks.

5-0 out of 5 stars "God of War" Indeed
"God of War," complete with its intense, action-packed gameplay, amazing visuals and production values, a fascinating anti-hero, and one of the best stories ever to grace a video game, is easily among the best titles you'll play this year on the Playstation 2 - if not ever. Indeed, if the Playstation 3 were to launch tomorrow, there would be no better send-off for its predecessor than this.

The game takes ancient Greece and its mythologies for an ingenious spin, transforming "Clash of the Titans" into a bleak, Robert E. Howard gloomfest complete with unrelenting violence and a mood that is downright oppressive. This is certainly not the Greek mythology you learned about back in grade school, and your guide through this austere world of scheming gods and defiant mortals is none other than Kratos, a shameless killer who delights in gushing red blood and being where battle is thickest. He certainly has a chip on his shoulder, and it may or may not have to do with his absent wife and child, and the god of war himself - Ares. The basic concept is revenge, a mortal in opposition to a deity and all the monsters you can shake a sword at, but the plotline that drives "God of War" is far more interesting than that, and is gradually unraveled in splendid fashion. Suffice it to say that both the setting and Kratos, the player character, are as imaginative as they come. This one, like a great movie, sucks you in and, once it has you, doesn't let go.

With such an interesting story and world already established, the developers of "God of War" could have churned out a half-baked action-adventure and still been a step ahead of many of their peers, but thankfully, not content to do this, they made "God of War" the absolute best game of its kind. It's an out and out ass-kicker, reminiscent of the recent "Prince of Persia" games (particularly "Warrior Within" and its Mature rating) and 2002's "Rygar" redux, but with action forefront and devious traps falling in behind. Comparisons aside, "God of War" is its own game through and through - a rewarding combination of reflex and gray matter, with an emphasis on the former.

Kratos takes on all comers with a set of short swords, each one lashed to a binding chain and seared into his tormented flesh. That is, at least, during the early portion of the game prior to the introduction of the Blade of Artemis (essentially a gigantic scimitar), but these weapons will, almost undoubtedly, be the ones with which you become most familiar, and given the lack of variety it's great that they prove to be so much fun. In conjunction with some very capable magical powers bestowed upon Kratos by the gods as the game proceeds, these default weapons are more than sufficient, with the aforementioned secondary sword stepping in as a mere bonus. Admittedly, combat in the game initially feels like something that will wear thin, but thanks to the game's upgrade options, which allow you to beef up your spells and weapons by conquering your enemies, new combos and deadlier effects can be attained and unleashed, keeping things fresh.

Unlike most action-adventures of this type, "God of War" seems all but immune to the usual monotonies of this genre, and not only because of the aforementioned combos, spells, and upgrades. The game's levels can take most of the blame, as they are very well-designed, complete with new challenges at virtually every turn. Aesthetically, each one is diverse, even down to its color scheme. And while some settings are clearly more polished than others, even at their worst these graphics rival anything available on the PS2. At their best, on the other hand, they're astounding, rising in artistry above virtually anything ever committed to a console. That all of this is done on the aging hardware of the Playstation 2 makes it that much more amazing.

The characters come off nearly as good as the environments. Kratos looks suitably imposing and mean, and the spin on Greek monsters and myths takes a decidedly horrific turn with the motley collection of centaurs, minotaurs, and harpies that stand in his way. Boss encounters are few and far between in the game, but of the three that exist each is memorable, challenging, and beautiful to look at. The same pervading sense of quality pretty much shines throughout "God of War."

But of course nothing is perfect, and the same is true here. One level, set in Hades, goes above and beyond in terms of frustration, temporarily emphasizing platforming in a game that, before, had little to do with such antics. Likewise, some of the reflex-testing minigames required to take down the game's boss monsters, usually optionally associated with gory finishing moves on lesser beasts, can be difficult to pull off in time, and make for some needless aggravation. As an elective edge in combat they would have fared better, instead of being necessary to prevail. On the other hand, this concept is a novel one, and when it works it works beautifully - but it has its downsides, especially during the final confrontation with Ares.

Some may find "God of War" to be too difficult, as it's certainly not a game that's easy to breeze through. I think, for the most part, however, that it strikes a fine balance. From beginning to end, "God of War" is truly epic in scope, like a big budget Hollywood adventure, complete with the finest production values available. The more you play, the harder it is to stop. This is action-adventure near its pinnacle, the game that was promised and finally delivered. "God of War" is a great game with a great main character in a great stylized setting. What more can be said of it?

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic fun and nearly flawless
First thing's first - this game has very graphic, bloody violence, and Kratos, your character, is on a nice-guy mission but is not a nice guy. He's not above wasting a good guy to get at a bad guy.So keep your youngun's away. :o)

I had high hopes for this after reading the description, and boy, were they fullfilled.I hate to say *too* many good things about a game and come off sounding easily impressed, but God of War is very, very easy to say good things about.

First and formost - the fighting. You do a lot of it and the battle engine was all but flawless. No slowdowns or snags no matter how many enemies flooded the screen, except for one or two specific situations.Even then it wasn't jarring.Your weapons (you start with two swords-on-chains, then soon get a more powerful single sword, and can switch between them at will) and the attack combinations are great fun and the really useful ones are easy to remember.Enemies (playing in "normal" Hero mode) are tough enough to keep you working but not so hard as to wear you down.I'm also in love with the Greek beasties used, like minotaurs and Satyrs. One mistake God of War *didn't* make that so, so, so many games do - kill and enemy and they're gone.Move on a ways and come back, and they're still gone.I hate perpetually re-spawning enemies, especially when I want to backtrack.Thank you, thank you, makers of GOW for making the dead stay dead.

You also acquire various magic attacks which come in very handy at times, and they're upgradable along with your swords.Make sure you find the more obscure caches of red orbs to charge things up.

Puzzles you must solve along the way (there are plenty of breaks from the carnage where you have to think things through) are usually solvable without resorting to a walk-through.Just do the usual and look around carefully.

As others have mentioned, graphics are great and PS2 games have really improved here. There are lots of mechenizations that are nicely conceived and detailed, and the game keeps up with it all.

Cut scenes are good and not too long, so you don't waste a lot of time watching movies when you could be playing.

So what's bad?Well, I prefer camera control and the game uses it's own, so you often find yourself running at the camera without being able to see where you're going. But as fixed cameras go, this one is very good and almost never aggravates.

The ending is a little anticlimactic, once you've defeated the final foe, but very fitting for the storyline.

My biggest complaint is, once you finish the game, you unlock "God mode," the hardest setting.I don't know how anyone could possibly play this.I couldn't get past the very first fight (on a boat against a small hoard of swordsman), for crying out loud.Maybe I'm just lame, or there's something I don't know, but it was a disappointment.Oh well, the replay value on normal (I also did the easiest just for fun) is right up there.

If you have any doubts, don't listen to them and get this game.It really is excellent.

4-0 out of 5 stars An action game of Herculean proportions
I've heard a lot of good things about God of War, so I made sure that I got a chance to play through it when I got my PS2 recently. After I finished this game, all I can say is...whoa.This is definitely one of the most brutal games that I have ever played through, and I say that in the most positive way possible.Quite simply, God of War is one of the best action games that I've played this year.

God of War is set in ancient Greece and puts you in the role of Kratos, a seemingly unstoppable, hulking warrior. The game starts off with Kratos on the verge of suicide, and then flashes back to a few weeks prior to his suicide, recounting his quest to kill the Greek god of war, Ares.Personally, I really liked the dark persona of Kratos. He's a breath of fresh air from the many upright, "always do the right thing" heroes that plague many of today's (and yesterday's) video games.Man, I thought the Terminator was unrelenting, but this guy...yeeesh.Kratos doesn't care who you are, and if you get in his way, may the gods help you.

The game itself is, in my opinion, similar to another PS2 game called Devil May Cry.However, God of War differentiates itself by setting the game in much larger environments, and having a much more refined fighting system. The gameplay in God of War is a whole lot of monster killing fun, thanks to the game's easy to learn combat.Kratos' primary weapon, a pair of very large knives attached to chains known as the "Blades of Chaos", allow you to perform cool "combo" moves and hit multiple enemies depending on the direction you push the analog stick. Also, depending on the situation and the enemy, when you bring a monster down to low life, you can pull off various "finishing" moves such as driving your blades through a Minotaur's throat. As the game progresses the Greek gods will grant you new powers, such as Medusa's stone gaze and Zeus' lightning, which you can upgrade to become even more powerful.God of War also contains some interesting puzzles as well, which is in contrast to how most of the game is like.In the end, God of War doesn't have the deepest gameplay in world, but it is fast, furious, and visceral fun that any action fan will like.

One of the most impressive aspects of God of War is its graphics.I was surprised that the PS2, a five year old machine, could still produce graphics as detailed as the one in this game. The high resolution textures and lighting effects in this game can put many other X-Box and PC games to shame. The character model used for Kratos looks great. It is actually a fairly simple design, but he looks like a total badass nonetheless. The monster designs for the game's many enemies are flat out cool.My personal favourite is the design for the giant Minotaur boss, which looks like a robotic, walking bull in power armor. Finally, the cutscenes for this game are very well animated, reflecting the game's dark tone, and are filled with copious amounts of blood, gratuitous violence, and scantily clad women.

On the sound front, I liked the selection of music that God of War provided, although admittedly it is a limited selection. The music is primarily orchestral in nature, and it does the job in conveying the game's mood. Also, I felt that the voice acting was, on the whole, pretty good. The actor who does Kratos' voice has a Vin Diesel-ish quality to him, which perfectly suits the character.

The one real downfall of God of War is that it is fairly short. It took me only around nine hours to complete it (including restarting the game from checkpoints multiple times). But the game is a blast while it lasts. The fact is I love deep and complex video games, but sometimes I just want to play a game that lets me mash buttons until my enemies are beaten into a bloody pulp.God of War is this game.As such, if you are a fan of action games, you must give God of War a try.Kudos to the developers for making such a fine gaming experience.

My ratings are:
Graphics = 10/10
Sound = 8/10
Gameplay = 8/10
Overall = 8.5/10

1-0 out of 5 stars BEWARE god of war.......!
I received an early demo copy of this game, and loved it. Couldn`t wait to get my hands on it.Three exchanged copies later, i`m left with a fifty dollar coaster. It seems the game won`t load in first gen ps2`s, so unless your willng to buy a new system just to play this game, STAY AWAY until sony either de-bugs the disk or is willing to refund your money(like that is going to happen).

3-0 out of 5 stars "Meh" is probably the best way to describe it.
God of War is a good game. The thing is, its not an excellent game. You'll have your moments where you laugh and have fun, but at no point did I just have a "wow" reaction. That's really what the game is- solid all the way through, but doesn't have any really great moments.

Graphics are good in terms of scale and size of everything, but animations and character models look off. Music is memorable, at times.

Overall, this game is very, very overrated. It is in no way a bad game, but just isn't as good as reviews say it is. I beat it, started to replay it, then stopped, realizing it just isnt very fun the second time through. After gathering dust on the shelf for about two months, I decided to sell it. It just isn't very captivating.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent stroller
We had the older version of this stroller and the folding mechanism broke. When I contacted the company they had me send the stroller back and since they no longer made the folding mechanism they sent us the new version, the P3 MT.

Reasons we like this stroller:
1. Folds compactly. I can fit this in our Explorer with the 3rd row seat up.
2. Easy to fold.
3. Canopy has a wide range when she is sitting up.
4. Child tray is easy to clean and a great addition from the last model.
5. We like the 5 point harness and the fact that it detaches from the seat, but still has her in a 5 point harness. It gives her some mobility in the seat and we know she can't get out. {She has figured out how to get out of anything with just the waist belt.}
6. Bakset is a pro and con. It is larger so it fits her diaper bag and my purse, plus a few small shopping bags. However, it is somewhat hard to access.
7. Seat reclines fully and is easy to do with her sleeping.
8. Overall size is smaller than the large travel system strollers so it is tons easier to push in stores {we don't run into racks or shelves anymore.}

Things we don't like.
1. Very small parent cup holder and no parent tray. Our Graco Quatro Tour had a great parent tray with two cupholders, a storage compartment on the handle and another one of the tray.

To us the pros outweigh the cons. When we are out we are so glad we no longer use our larger stroller. It is a little expensive for an umbrella type stroller, but well worth the price. We get all the amenities of a large stroller in an umbrella stroller size.

Highly recommend this stroller.

5-0 out of 5 stars love this stroller
This is the best stroller out there. It is so easy to use and really light wieght. I love the way it folds up.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice, but.........
I liked this stroller because it's very practical, you can fit it in your trunk very easily, but it doesn't have enough space in the net compartment, you can't put your diaper bag or nothing bulky, even when we go to the mall, can't stuffed anything under it.
For that reason I'm not completely satisfied.

5-0 out of 5 stars The perfect stroller for babies and toddlers
I have owned a number of different types of strollers and this is by far the best one.It is sturdy, it is great looking and it is comfortable for my toddler.Another reviewer said something about the 5 point harness being unsafe - I do not know what this is about because my two year old son climbs out of everything and he is not able to get out of this stroller because the 5 point harness keeps him VERY secure. Also it is very light - I am 8 months pregnant and find it very easy to get in and out of our SUV.I am so glad I spent the money on this!

3-0 out of 5 stars Storage Space Not Well-Designed
We bought this stroller prior to becoming new parents and did not realize that the storage space at the bottom is not well-designed.I usually need to carry my son's diaper bag when I go places with the stroller. You cannot get it in the storage compartment at the bottom because there are bars preventing you from getting much in there.I could unpack the whole diaper bag and put it all in there individually, but that is not realistic.I have to carry the diaper bag on the handle bar, which is just not that convenient. It is a very strange design.I also echo the comments of others who say it is not easily folded up - it takes two hands and a lot of practice.I would not buy it again. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars This game..is awesome! Much better than Ruby and Sapphire!
This game is much more funner and challenging. After you defeat the elite four, you can go to the Battle Frontier. The Battle Frontier is absolutley awesome! Over all, I will give this game a 9.3 outta 10! Thank you nintendo for making this game so much better! For those who don't have the game, you will love it! It's much more advanced than boring old Ruby or Sapphire. IT'S much more FUNNER! And it's only a measily little price of 35 bucks. That's a pretty good deal! So get the game today! It's AWESOME!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Few Flaws
This game, overall, was very good. I believe that even those who have Ruby or Sapphire would like this game. One reason is the new Battle Frontier. this leaves you a major challenge once the core of the game has been completed. There are also many plot changes that make this game, overall, a good buy.

5-0 out of 5 stars cool
well it might have the same plot, but still pretty damn good.its all around rayquaza though in this one.that kinda sucks cuz i wanted a sequel to do wit the latis.oh well.but i love the fact that they actually gave u a choice on latias or latios.oh and ray, gro, and ky are now all lvl.70.ray is at sky pillar all da time. gro will occor in,um ithink 6,yah probably 6 places called the terra cave.same thing with ky.except he is at the marine cave underwater. oh and now key to the regis.
rock=left left down down then use rock smash
ice=go inside then run around while touching the wall at all times
steel=go in da middle and use flash

oh and u have to check out the battle frontier and tents.the tents let u practice for the frontier.lol.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pokemon Emerald
You may not think that there is much feutures in pokemon emerald untill you have beaten the elite 4.There is a new area called the battle frontier... You can get both groudon and kyogre in the game and there is lots of new places and new things to do.I have pokemon sapphire and I do not think this game was a waste of money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game!!!!
i haven't played this game yet but of wat my frind has told me it will be awsome!! there are 14 new badges to collect and other fetures.this game is like crystal, ruby, saphire, firered, and leafgreen all together!! you can catch johto kanto and hoenn pokemon in different places, like (after the elit 4) totodile in the safari zone and much much more.i wont spoil the game but this is a MUST HAVE for rpg pokemon players!! ... Editorial Review

In case you're too thirsty to be satisfied with just one beverage while you're out for a stroll, this sporty and lightweight stroller has you covered with double cup holders. And you might get a bit parched, come to think of it, given how easy it will be to head out for a quick walk around the neighborhood. The young passenger rides in comfort and security thanks to a 5-point harness and an adjustable headrest. The person behind the stroller, besides being thoroughly sated with beverage options, will appreciate the large storage basket as well as the handy one-hand collapsing feature. The stroller is decorated in a simple blue-checkered pattern. --Charlie Williams ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Why I DIDN'T Buy the Graco MetroLite LE Colby
I already had a car seat so I didn't need a travel system. After deciding I wanted a lightweight stroller AND a stroller that folded upright to a standing position (not one that folds to the ground where I'd have to bend over each time to pick it up), I narrowed my choices to the two strollers I was able to find that I felt offered the best options: The Graco MetroLite LE-Colby and the Eddie Bauer Arrowhead Silver Aluminum Convenience stroller (not available at my Babies R Us store). Both had things I didn't like. After AGONIZING over my final decision for days and several trips to the store to look at the strollers, here's why I did't buy the Graco:

1. Basket dragged on the ground when stroller was folded up
2. Coarse fabric
3. Padding was hard and stiff
4. No juice box holder
5. Harness system seemed cumbersome & had VERY rough, scratchy edges
6. DEFINITELY needed two hands to fold it up
7. Stroller was difficult to lock into place once folded up - needed 2 hands & lots of strength to squish it together enough to get it locked & lock seemed flimsy
8. Cannot pull/roll the stroller when folded up because wheels rub on each other
9. Colby print unattractive to me, stroller seems gaudy
10. Padding stopped at knee level on the seat
11. Fabric-covered arms will get dirty/sticky quickly
12. Shoulder harnesses seemed too close together - will they rub on my child's neck?
13. $40 more expensive than other stroller
14. Heavier than other stroller
15. For parents, there are two cup holders...no other space for miscellaneous items.
16. My Graco car seat locks into this stroller

I will try the Eddie Bauer Arrowhead to see how it performs. If it doesn't hold up, I will resort to the MetroLite LE as it does have some nice features:
1. Seat position is adjusted with a bar
2. Seat lays all the way down AND sits more upright (NICE!) than most strollers.
3. There are two viewing windows in the nice large-sized canopy
4. Basket under the stroller is large and has easy access even when baby is laying down
5. I've heard the rubber tires are a real plus
6. Baby's snack tray opens easy allowing convenient access
7. Stoller seems larger and less confining than some
8. Fabric is a lighter color which may be cooler on hot days
9. Folding/unfolding lever works very smoothly
10. Stroller is more lightweight than many other strollers on the market

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally, a stroller that is Mommy friendly...
After Returning the Graco Quattro for being too heavy and bulky to manage, and the Peg Perego Aria for being too light that it tipped backwards on me 3 times, I finally found the perfect stroller for my now 10 month old son. After the Aria fiasco, I decided to take my 3 1/2 year old daughter to the store with me to help me test drive some strollers. After testing the Pliko P3 and the Lite Rider, I asked one of the guys at the store for help. I told him the features I was looking for and he brought me directly to this stroller. It has a 3 position recline with a bar (NOT A PULL STRING...), a very large basket with a drop down feature so you can get your stuff in and out without disturbing a sleeping child, a tray for the child w/ cup holder, 2 cup holders for the parents, easily steers with one hand, and closes with one hand to a STANDING UP POSITION...TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!! Although it's 19lbs., it really doesn't matter to me since I don't have to ever bend down to pick it up and put it in my car. It is so Mommy friendly... I don't usually write reviews, but I am sooooo happy with this stroller that I had to let other people know about how awesome it is. As someone else wrote earlier, this stroller has every feature imaginable. The only thing it doesn't have is a foot rest for when the child falls asleep, but that's really insignificant in the big scheme of things.
Take it from a 2nd time Mom....End your turmoil....buy this stroller!!!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Found after years of searching!
I have looked since my oldest daughter was born for the perfect stroller for us that does not cost a lot. This stroller is durable, rides like heaven, does not give me back strain, is very stylish and folds quickly, easily and compact. The top of the stroller is quilted and, when pulled forward, completely covers my 2 yr olds entire head and body. The handle is adjustable, the basket is large and the tires are rubber. Makes pushing very easy. My mother even figured out how to fold this up in one easy step and it folds nicely in the trunk of my car with plenty of room. The harness is a five point-holds my daughter in well. My daughter loves the tray and this stroller is often used as a high chair when we eat out as well. The only initial drawback to this was the front wheel cracked and fell off within the first hour of using. The manufacturer and the store quickly accommodated me by exchanging and putting a new one together for me-no hassle at all. The manufacturer looked into and found the wheel may have been cracked at the time of purchase-never a problem with before. I have had this one for about a year and it has been very sturdy. I love this stroller and for the price you are definately getting a bargain.

2-0 out of 5 stars flimsy construction
I was impressed with this stroller in the store -- it looks great and is nice and lightweight (tons better than the travel system stroller we had!). However, once we used it we realized there is no window in the sunshade (which was very upsetting to our baby) and the wheels don't always steer properly. Worse, two months after we bought it, we gate checked it at the airport and when we got it back, two of the wheels had come off (turns out they are held by little pins that break or slip out pretty easily) and the fold/unfold mechanism had completly jammed (note that neither the airline or Graco did anything for us). In short, we found this to be pretty flimsy in its construction, and would not buy it again!

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Good Stroller...Just one thing.
I absolutely love this stroller, however...I live in a very sunny part of the U.S. and the little "window" at the top of the stroller is quite annoying for my little one. My girlfriend has a similar stoller (different vendor) with a small window at the top, however it has a little flap with velcro to close it if it gets too sunny. I find I have to place a blanket over it all the time because the sun is beaming on her little head. The sun has actually woken her up because it gets so bright and hot through the window.
On the plus side....I like how light the stroller is and how easy it is to open and close. I've actually had my baby on one arm and have been able to pick the stoller up with the other hand and place it in the back of the truck. Don't get me wrong, it's not the most comfortable doing anything with one hand, but it's do-able. I like the convenience of the basket too.
Keep in mind this is a very light weight stroller so if you have a bag hanging on the handle, but you don't have a baby in the seat yet, the stroller falls back because it's so light weight. Just put your baby in the seat, then put your bag over the handle, or just put your bag in the basket. Your bag in the basket is just a bit annoying to get to, so just try it the way I mentioned and you'll be fine.

Bottom line...it's a great stroller. I just wish they would make a little flap for the top so you can close the window if you want to, or open it to check the baby. Hope this helps. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars WONDERFUL product!
My husband and I searched everywhere for a seat cover, but we couldn't find anything that offered as much coverage, and comfort, as the Floppy Seat. We are SO pleased with it, we use it every time we go shopping and anytime our daughter needs to sit in a high chair when we're out. It even fits on the larger carts at the huge discount stores. Our daughter is comfortable, happy, and she's not touching anything that anyone else has put their hands on! When it is used in a grocery cart, the Floppy Seat covers every part of the seat -- including where we parents are pushing the cart! It is easy to put on and take off, and the fact that it converts to its own storage bag is great too!

No matter where we go, we are always asked where we purchased this, and we are happy to tell each and every parent, grandparent, whoever it is that's asking! I've even waited patiently while another shopper or diner has gotten out pen and paper to write down what it's called and where we got it from!

I debated giving the Floppy Seat 4 stars because I do think it's kind of pricey, however I have to say that I think it's worth every penny! I am so thankful for this product and am so happy that we purchased it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great price and works wonderful!
I spent hours on the internet seaarching for a shopping cart seat cover. I found many different manufacturers with prices raning from $19.99 to $80.00. I am a firm believer in paying a little more to get a better product especially since all my baby items will be used for additional children in the future. I bought the floppy seat this week and have already used it several times. I love the fact that the floppy seat turns itself into it's own carrying bag and its so easy to put on with just one hand! I can't compare hands on to the other shopping cart covers but I can say that I am happy with the make and feel of the floopy seat and I didn't go broke buying one!

3-0 out of 5 stars Okay, but not really effective at "germ" control...
Let's be honest here...this product is not going to provide any sort of "germ barrier" between your child and a shopping cart. Sure, it might prevent dirt and stains from reaching your child, but it's a little too simplistic to believe that it will protect your toddler from bacteria. Why? The most contaminated part of a cart is the handle you push it with. Well, unless you wear gloves while shopping, you are going to be pushing the shopping cart with your bare hands...which will then be touching your child's face, hands, etc. Therefore, bacterial transfer from the cart to your child circumvents this product. If you are a true "germaphobe" and don't really understand the nature of viruses and bacteria, it would be far more effective for you to hose down the seat and handle of a shopping cart with Lysol or another anti-baterial spray. (Note: You can't kill cold viruses...duh, simple science here...so don't worry about those).

The only reason to buy this product is if you want to keep your child from getting dirty due to a less-than-clean shopping cart. If it provides you with piece of mind, then go for it...but don't believe it's doing anything protective for your child.

5-0 out of 5 stars Can't Live Without This!!!
This is by far one of the best baby products I have ever bought. My daughter loves to put anything and everything in her mouth, and what's worse than the grimy shopping cart handle or a disgusting restaurant high chair?? I use this product almost every day, it is machine washable, very easy to use, and even has a little pocket inside where you can store pacifiers, small toys, juice cup, etc. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Well Worth The Money!!
I almost purchased a less expensive shopping cart seat cover. I am so glad I decided to spend the extra money on the Floppy Seat. It was well worth it! I have had more people come up and ask me where I purchased it. I use it all the time and wouldn't go shopping without it. I have used it only once so far in a restaurant high chair, but it worked great there too. My daughter loves sitting in it, and it keeps her bare legs in the summer from touching a too hot, or a too cold shopping cart seat. I really can't say enough good things about it. The generously sized pocket on the inside is great for storing little toys and a bottle. I also like that it has it's own seat belt so you don't even have to use the "community" belt. Those always end up in the mouth!! If you're even considering a Floppy Seat vs. a less expensive version....don't! This one covers the entire seat, and handle of a cart without a bunch of straps and velcro. I am so pleased with this purchase and have recommended it to everyone who has asked me about it. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy to give moms a break
Great toy for babies. My daughter can spend one hour on the mat by herself. I also made a few adjustments for her to enjoy the toy even better by placing the mirror on top, so she can look at herself while laying down on her back. She absolutely loves it. Also, I placed the bird chime towards the end where her legs are so she can kick it since the kicking pat doesn't respond to her kicks at all. The chime makes wonderful sounds.
The kicking pat really need to be improved. The kicking pat doesn't respond unless you kick hard at the exact spot. This kicking pat is not designed for little babies, maybe useful when baby gets older.

4-0 out of 5 stars Anisa's Mom
I just bought this mat this past weekend from my local Babies R Us after comparing it online with other playmats. My local Toys R Us didn't have any in stock, and I didn't want to wait for one to be shipped to me.One reason I was drawn to this one is because the mat is much bigger than a lot of the other ones.I also like the idea of snapping the sides together to form somewhat of a border around my baby.As soon as I bought it home, I couldn't wait to unpack it. I set it up, which was very easy and put my daughter, Anisa, who is 3 1/2 months old, on it.Right away she started batting at the dangling figures and kicking on the kickpad. She really likes the tiger :-).She spent about a 1/2 hour playing on this mat and was just smiling and laughing.I left her with her dad for about another 20 minutes, and when I came back, she'd fallen asleep right there on the mat.I guess she played so much, she wore herself out. Wow!

Another thing that I like about this mat is the fact that the bars that hold the hanging figures simply unsnap from each other, lay flat and I can then change her right on the mat without having to pick her up to change her diaper somewhere else and then bring her back to play.

I do have an issue with the kickpad. It seems to take a lot of strength and exactness for the lights to light up and to play the music. If she doesn't kick exactly on the imprint showing the ball of the foot, it doesn't light or play the music. And I've gotta say my daughter has pretty strong kicks when we are playing, but I guess they are not strong enough when she kicks this kickpad.

The description on Amazon.com said that 3 AA batteries were included, but when I bought it at Babies R Us, there weren't any batteries included. Now I don't know if Amazon has a slightly different one or they get some extras from the manufacturer, but I think if you are paying $70 (which is quite pricey I must say), batteries should be included. After checking 3 other Total Playground Activity Mats on the shelf at Babies R Us, I gave in bought a 4-pack of AA batteries at 4 more dollars :-(.

Overall, I really like this mat because it has some really nice features, eventhough it is a bit pricey.Aside from the kickpad issues, we really do like this toy because it is both educational and fun and it keeps Anisa well entertained and happy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy...Worth the money!
My three month old loves this gym.I was a little nervous about spending so much on what seemed to be just a blanket with some toys attached but I am thrilled with what I received. My son will spend 20 min. easily playing on this.I would recommend this to any parent.

Editorial Review

Combining outstanding safety features with a comfortable ride is no easy task in designing a car seat. Adding style to that mix is more difficult still. Happily, the Roundabout puts all those elements together to create what could be the perfect seat for kids up to 40 pounds. It's equipped with a 5-point harness and while it can be easily installed in any back seat, it is also outfitted for use with the LATCH system of car seat anchorage. As for comfort, picture a car seat combined with a teddy bear and you'll have a pretty good idea what the Roundabout feels like. Soft denim padded fabric and straps that hold firmly while being gentle on the child. We were also impressed with the seat's versatility. It adapts to different sized kids, the restraints snapped into place easily and the unit was simple to install and move. Another nice touch was the highly detailed instruction book, which clearly shows how to install the seat forward, backward, or even in airline seats. --John Moe ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars You can't put a price on safety and comfort
With our son, we debated about purchasing this car seat, and ended up purchasing a carrier seat. Two years later we have spent twice the amount of the britax because he kept growing - if we had purchased the britax in the first place, he would still be in it for half of what we spent.

When our daughter was born 5 weeks early, we rushed out a bought the Britax roundabout. At exactly 5 lbs, she fit beautifully, and the seat passed all the excruciating car seat tests from our NICU. Our nurses thought that was impressive, until they walked us down to install it in our car ... it took me (one week after a difficult birth) only 3 minutes to get this seat installed - and it would not budge! My nurses were blown away - they wrote down the car seat info so they can get the same one when they have kids! A car seat has got to be pretty amazing to impress these NICU nurses!

...It is well padded, and Britax has made things so easy! For example: the straps are extremely easy to loosen and tighten - I loosen them while I snap my daughter in, then pull the strap to tighten the straps once she's bickled in... takes 3 seconds max, and makes my life easy as to not have to wrestle a little arm through a tightened strap, while still achieving utmost safety. Also, the straps do not get all twisted up like most other car seats I have used ... they always fit flat and smooth against my daughter's hips and shoulders. I feel like she is increadibly comfortable and safe ... which is more important than convenience ... the convinience is just an added bonus!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BRITAX ROUNDABOUT!!!! Sure other car seats are okay, but if you want the best and most safe, combined with the highest convinience and style, THIS BRITAX ROUNDABOUT IS THE WAY TO GO!!!

Update - our little one is now 4 months and 13lbs and still LOVES her Britax roundabout! We did purchase the marina cover from britax to make the seat even more snuggly for winter, and we LOVE it! Still the BEST!

5-0 out of 5 stars Optimum safety, comfortable, convenient, no strap twists...
My 32-lb, 2 1/2 year old son has been using this car seat since we bought it to replace his maxed-out infant bucket-seat when he was under 1 year. At the time, I researched all the available seats, read reviews and did live demos of multiple seats in the stores and decided that the Britax was, hands-down, the safest, most effective, most comfortable one on the market. Travelling and at home, we have used this in virtually every kind of car you could imagine(from my original tiny sports car, to small, mid and luxury sedans, minivans, SUVs, etc), and it has installed quickly, with a consistently snug fit that assures me my son is always safe. This has been equally true on airplanes -- a reassurance that makes for one less thing to worry about when traveling with an infant or toddler (we toss the carseat onto my son's stroller to get it to the gate easily, then fold the stroller and check it at the gate - which has made it easy for me to travel with my son & all his stuff, even alone). Two other parent-friends of ours have the same seat and have been equally-thrilled with it; the parents who have other seats I've noticed have frequently twisted straps (some that refuse to ever untwist), difficult or complicated chest clips, looser installations or sloppy covers. Living in Florida, I particularly like the denim cover for my son's seat, as the natural fiber seems to breathe better; some carseat covers look so hot by comparison, and I know he used to sweat in his original infant seat. With another baby on the way, I had been researching infant seats. Considering all the complaints over other products and my confidence in the safety and comfort of Britax, I think I'll get a Britax Marathon for my older son (it goes up to 65 lbs) and use the Roundabout for our newest. Every parent has maybe 5 products they've bought for their child and absolutely swear by, and this has definitely been one of them. How reassuring to have that be true of a safety device you rely on every day!

5-0 out of 5 stars Very easy to install; Worth the money
I just installed my daughter's car seat today. I was surprised to find that is was quite easy to install. She loves it and I feel very confident that she is safe in it. We bought 2 Roundabouts for our SUVs. It was rather pricey, but well worth the cost. We highly recommend this seat.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent quality
This car seat was the second one we tried after the Eddie Bauer seat, and we love it! Although pricier than others, the quality of the materials is great. The straps NEVER twist and the buckle and belts are easy to manage. It's fairly big, and very sturdy. So far no complaints from our baby daughter who has no problem falling asleep in this seat! It has been very comfortable and safe in both the rear- and front-facing positions. We're sure this car seat will last for more than one child. We highly recommend it, it's a keeper!

5-0 out of 5 stars The best money I've spent yet
We had a Graco Snugride Infant car seat, and when my son was in my car (a Volvo s60), he screamed almost everywhere we went. I was losing my mind. Since he was big by nearly 6 months -- 18 pounds, 25 inches -- I decided to buy a convertible car seat, hoping that the seat and the angle of it in my car were the culprit. I splurged on the roundabout since I didn't want to take my chances on more brutal car rides. It was the best decision I've made. This seat is like a LaZBoy recliner for him. The second he gets in, his eyes start to droop, and I can tell how comfortable he is. He hardly every cries now in the car, I wish I had made the switch earlier. The other seats in the store didn't feel as padded.
Other info: It took about 10 minutes to install. I agree with other reviewers that it's weird how the straps hit their thighs... but he doesn't seem to mind so far. The backward facing angle is a bit steep, so I'd wait until your child can hold his/her head up to buy this seat. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars WHERE YOU CAN SAFELY INSTALL YOUR CARSEAT ** MUST READ!!
I love Britax. This is a great seat and is WORTH THE MONEY because of the piece of mind it gives you.Think of all the money you'll spend on Nikes and PlayStations later...This is not the item to go cheap on...

In reading prior reviews there seems to be some confusion on where you can safely install a car seat. The TrailBlazer (which I own) recommends that you DO NOT install a LATCH carseat in the middle seat, while a Tahoe allows it.You can always check your manual or online.I did not know this until I read a few reviews and decided to check it out for myself.FYI -- All of the car companies have some type of online car seat recommendations.

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE THE EASE OF USE!
I have had the Britax Wizard and thought it was good until my son got his head stuck forward by the SIP. I decided to try the new version the Boulevard and it is WAAAAY better and he doesn't have the problem he did before. It is definitely easier than the roundabouts and the new decathalon with tightening the strap and adjusting the height! I would recommend this car seat for the long haul. My only complaint is the fabric, it could be smoother since summer is arriving and babies will be wearing skin bearing clothes. But compared to all the rest I love it regardless.

4-0 out of 5 stars Read Your Owner's Manual!!
I was researching this new carseat when I came across the reviews concerning the Chevy Trailblazer.I own a 2004 Trailblazer and it does not "prohibit" a carseat in the middle seat (regardless if you have the extended model or not-which has the 3rd row), but it does state that some carseat models may not fit probably due to the narrow seat width.I just wanted to remind people to read their owner's manual, regardless of make or model, latch or not, to be sure of any dangers in carseat installation. And if you are still not sure take your vehicle and carseat to an inspection center. This is hardly a situation where you want to just "wing it".Installation of carseats can be tricky in any car with any carseat model.Read your manuals, both car and carseat, so your child is safe and that you have the peace of mind you need when traveling with children.I haven't purchased this carseat, so I can't rate it properly, but I have incredible confidence in the Britax brand, due to prior use and friend's recommendations.

5-0 out of 5 stars My first Britax and I am IN LOVE so does the Baby
I decided to go with this seat because it holds up to 65# FF and up to 33# RF. I wanted something that would last us a long time. We want him to be harnessed as long as posible. From what I have read and seen how my friends 4 yrs old has so much room to grow still in the Marathon, I believe the Boulevard should last us until he is 5 or 6. I know the seat is pricy but if it last this long then is worth it on the long run.

Plus some of the features it has are pretty nice.

Right now we have it installed RF in the captain chair of our Caravan. The carseat is Big but we didn't have any problem with space. We don't have latch system in our van so we used the Lap shoulder belt and we had a good fit. And LOVE the locking clip on the side. It was a little hard to close it but so necessary for us since out belts don't lock.

One feature I like is the fact that you don't have to re thread the straps because the kid is getting taller. All you do is turn the knob. Which is GREAT if you need to use the seat for a different kid on ocassions. I don't know how many times I have had to do this with my older seats.

The SIP (the wings) keep our 12 months old head from going to the side. I know he is very protected and comfortable there. He Can't see much because the wings are right there but he can see some. I really wanted the added protection of the wings.

I also like the fact that you can tether the seat RF to help with rebound. I don't think I have seen any other seat in the US that you can tether while RF. Tethering it RF helped to get the appropiate angle.

I know our son is VERY comfortable in this seat. The seat has lots of padding. It has an extra pad that can comes off. Is good for small babies. When I read the instructions it says you can fold the sides of pad to give a small child support and would help them stay centered in the seat. So I imagine it would be a good seat for a small infant.

So far I am very happy with this seat. DH wasn't happy about the price until he saw the features it has specially that you can tether while RF.

I recommend you at least give it a try at the store.

I do have 1 complaint LOL The cover. I bet the seat would look great if your interiors were Tan But ours is grey and the black and tan from the seat REALLY stands out. I have heard that Britax will have covers for sale eventually. I hope so LOL

5-0 out of 5 stars Jennifer Martin "CPS Tech & mom of 2 girls in car seat"
In response to "Melissa A. Marowelli CPS Tech & Mom of 3". You stated in your review that "NO carseat is to be installed in the rear center of a Chevy Tahoe...the owner's manual prohibits it due to the extremely narrow width". You are wrong on this. I have a 2005 Chevy Tahoe and no where in my owners manual does it state that the 2nd or 3rd row center position can't be used. It warns you about the tether anchors on the 3rd row but that is only for the driver outboard position.

I think you have the Tahoe mixed up with the Trailblazer (aka: Blazer). The Tahoe is the full size SUV its just like the Suburban just shorter in length (less cargo area). The Trailblazer is a mid size SUV. I do know GM has changed this in the newer model Trailblazers so please make sure you read the your owners manual.

Just want to make sure proper information is being posted. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!!!
While pregnant with my first child, I began looking at all the car seats and the online reviews.I was determined to get the best seat and also the best price.Looking online at the Britax car seats, my first thought was "who would spend that much on a car seat".After going to the stores and comparing the quality of the car seats, the Britax was by far the best.

My husband and I decided to give it a try and we haven't been sorry yet.The easy installation was great and took hardly any time at all(couldn't move the seat, you can get it that secure!).The fabric is so soft and my daughter just loves the seat. The velcro to hold the straps is wonderful. The straps are so easy to adjust also.

Another hint, I found mine at a local baby specialty store for less money which is always nice, and no shipping cost. Our daughter is 5 months now and we will plan to purchase another seat in the future for our second child.

Thanks for reading.
Hope you love your car seat as much as we do!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Hate it, doesn't deserve Britax name...
The base is open bottom so it is hard on leather seats unlike my Roundabout. The lock off clip has borken twice and had to be replaced. The cover (stars and stripes/american flag) faded terribly after first wash in cold water. I've had a Big Cat Roundabout for 5 years and still madly love it. I just got a Big Cat Roadster to replace this and will be selling the marathon on a popular auction site.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Seat Ever!
After some research, we decided to buy the Britax Marathon for our daughter. It was a great value for the money in our opinion. It is a very safe seat and easy to install. I was very pleased at the comfort in the seat padding and the fact the seatbelts rarely twist. My daughter is tall so this seat was perfect for her and will fit her until she's 65 lbs. I loved the Ashley Floral pattern...not only cute and girly but practical for the hot summers here in Texas. I highly recommend this seat!

5-0 out of 5 stars What an awesome seat!
With so many seats to choose out there its no wonder that it can become so confusing. Infant car seats, convertibles and finally the boosters. 20lb's, 40lb's 65lb's Yikes! What's a dad suppose to do?
Well I'll tell you what I did! I did my research and found that the Britax Marathon gave me more value and safety for my buck than any other car seat on the market. The Marathon is a Convertible Child Seat with LATCH that can be used rear facing for children 5 to 33 pounds and forward facing up to 65 pounds. The child's height should be between 18 and 49 inches. Not to mention that your little ones are secured by a five point harness that displaces the energy evenly across their precious little bodies. The Marathon with its patented lock-off, versa-tether and latch belt make this the easiest and most secure seat to install. I chose the Shadow(black)pattern SO NICE!!! Looks great in cars with a grey or black interior. I found a lower price offered at www.travelingtikes.com including free shipping. Do yourself's a favor and invest in your child's safety. I know that when I get behind the wheel of my car that I feel more confident now knowing that I have a Britax, than when we had our first infant car seat. Happy travels!

P.S. If you would like more information about the Britax Marathon. Visit Britax directly at www.childseat.com.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Seat - Easy to Use - Always falls asleep
We have been using this seat for over 6 months now and have had nothing but a great experience. I have seen others claim that their straps get tangled but I just don't see how that could happen. The way mine is constructed I can not twist the straps even if I wanted too. The recline is perfect and my son must be comfortable because he almost always falls asleep within 10 minutes of being in it. I know the car is the reason but if the seat bothered him or wasn't comfortable then I would expect a fight. The tightening knobs work well to tighten things down around the waist and the latches all work securely and easily. I do wish it was a tad easier to tighten around the shoulders but I don't find it near the hastle that others have complained of. I feel 100% safe having my son in this seat and for 1/3 the price of a Britax. I could afford either but why spend the money if your happy and secure for less?

5-0 out of 5 stars Love IT!! good price, no problems, my child likes it.
I have wanted to write a review of this seat for a while. I love it. I read every review of it and others when we needed a new car seat for my 11 month old. She is 16 months now and still likes it.
Thanks for the person who told us where the instructions were, we had no trouble finding them. (They are behind the cloth flap where the seatbelt goes thru, in case anybody was wondering.)
We love this seat, we have 2, and I debated on a 3rd for grandma's car, but its a corvette so that won't work!
We wondered about this seat b/c it only goes up to 40lbs, but my daughter weighs 22lbs at 16 months so We figure she won't outgrow this seat until she's 3 or 4 and by that time we'll need this car seat for the next little one.
LIKES:
Almost everything.
The tether straps and the memory system ( we almost never have to adjust the straps unless she has a big lunch)
Fits well in my Explorer Sport, in my husband's Taurus, and even in my sister's little mitsubishi 2-door.
My daughter seems to like it, she falls asleep in it often.
We'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
The latch system is so easy!! We don't have it in our pre-2002 cars but the grandparents do, and switching is a snap!
DISLIKES:
Yes, when she's asleep, her head does flop forward, but I don't think there's a seat where this doesn't happen unless you have those padded strap covers that squish there cheeks up-which they hate!
The 3 positions you can use when the seat is forward facing are hard to change if the seat is in the car tightly, b/c the seat blocks the back from reclining. o well, who has time to change the position anyway. We leave it in the 3rd position, its enough reclining for her to sleep and enough sitting up for her to see out the window.
Other than that we have enjoyed the seat. We didn't use it rearfacing so I can't help you there, but if you have an average size child this is a great carseat.

4-0 out of 5 stars Easy to use
This seat is very easy to use. I do not have the LATCH system in my car and it was still fairly simple to install and adjust. However, I have a 2002 Saturn sedan and the seat did not fit tight enough (with the seatbelt) in the center seat. It is very tight in either of the side seats, though. Also, we recently traveled from Dallas to Boston and used this seat on the plane. It was great and my little girl slept most of the trip. It was also super-easy to install in my parents' car (they have the LATCH system) and they have a Saturn VUE.

2-0 out of 5 stars Wish I could return mine.
If you are looking for a car seat that needs to constantly be moved from car to car (ie...you drop baby off at daycare and husband picks baby up at daycare, so you leave the car seat), this car seat is NOT for you. It is a pain to get it buckled into the car. The holes that the seat belt slide through are small, my hands barely fit. I have to peel back the material and guide the seat belt that way. It's a pain. Not to mention it is a some what heavy seat. So constantly moving it is quite a work out.

2-0 out of 5 stars poor design
This seat did not work in either of our cars in the rear facing position. Our seats have a flared edge for lateral support and the way the harness fastening knob is designed, it is embedded in the seat cushion so you cannot get your fingers in to adjust it. When we tried to put in the center of the seat, we couldn't get it tight enough to keep from moving sideways. It might work with a latch system but we don't have one. It is also very heavy also. The harness system has overlapping straps so it can be confusing at first "which hole" to put the babies arms through. I will say that it is a comfortable seat for the baby. If you only need it for forward facing it might be a good seat because it did get rated well for safety. We bought the Britax Roundabout and like it a lot better- its much easier to install, more secure and much light. ... Read more

Well worth the money!
My wife and I each have one for our cars, my parents have one for their car, and my mother-in-law has one for her car.

Well worth the investment if your baby rides in more than one car.

Parents should make sure the base is installed correctly in granparents' cars because it's a little tough for older people to install.

5-0 out of 5 stars Saves Time!
I drop my son off at the sitter and my Husband picks him up. This saves a ton of time and hassle with the base. We thought about getting 1 more for the grandmas!

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Investment
This car base makes taking baby with you so much easier! Once you get the base installed all you have to do is place the infant seat in the base and go. We have a base in each of our cars so we don't have to move the base from car to car. We did find that it did not work well in one of our cars because the seat angle was too steep so I would suggest testing it out in your vehicle before you buy it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for Grandma's Car!
This is a godsend if you have a nana who occaisionally picks up baby in her car. It is such a relief not to have to move the whole contraption every time.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Necessity!!!
Not only did my husband and I order a second base for our second car, but we ordered a second base for my parents car because they live in another state and it was one less thing us to fly with! ... Read more

An economical choice, the Alpha Omega Elite carries your child throughout his young life so you'll never need more than one car seat. Parents can install the car seat to be rear-facing for 5- to 35-pound babies, set it to a forward-facing position when the child weighs between 20 and 40 pounds, and then use it as a booster seat when kids weigh between 30 and 100 pounds. The Alpha Omega Elite secures using the LATCH system, which complies with current federal safety standards. The five-point harness restraint is easy to adjust and the chest clip is a cinch to open and close in a hurry. Padding on the shoulder straps, back, and headrest; fold-down armrests, and three reclining positions ensure your child's comfort. There is even a built-in cup holder alongside the base for a sippy cup. For parents' convenience, the harness has four different heights and the headrest moves with the straps so rethreading the straps is never necessary. The Alpha Omega Elite comes in a neutral black and gray tweed-style fabric that matches the interior of most vehicles. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Don't give up!
I've read that alot of people have had problems getting this car seat installed. My husband installed it rear facing in my Suburban in the babiesrus parking lot in less than 5 minutes. My daughter is 8 months old and has been in this car seat for about a month since she could absolutely not fit in her evenflo infant seat. I feel very safe with her in it and she doesn't seem to mind it. She hated her last two car seats (she outgrew the Graco infant seat at 5 months). The between the legs latch is a little confusing but once you get the hang of it it is no big deal. If you have trouble getting it in your vehicle the customer service people at Babiesrus are very helpful and knowledgeable and I'm sure wouldn't mind helping. I think for the price this is a very nice, comfortable and practical car seat.

3-0 out of 5 stars The Good and the Bad
I'll try to address some of the complaints about this seat. It is a decent car seat, if you can get it installed correctly. I would suggest you take the seat to your nearest fire station and have them do it for you because the directions are not user friendly. Regarding rear-facing, yes it takes up a lot of room, as most rear-facing seats do. My child went into this seat at 5 months and will be switched to forward facing at 12 months, so we can deal with a minor inconvenience for 7 months. Furthermore, all seats do not fit in all vehicles; if it doesn't fit in your vehicle, save the box and return it for a smaller seat. Regarding the "puzzle" clasp, yes it is tricky the first few times you do it, so have someone at the store show you how it works, or practice with it before you try to put your child in it. After you get it, it's simple, just snap it together and click it in. All seats made by Cosco, including the Eddie Bauer line, have this style clasp, so if you really hate it that much, you're going to have to switch to another brand of seat to get a different clasp. Yes, the straps twist, but again, the straps twist on all of the Cosco seats including Eddie Bauer, so might want to look at the Britax line if twisty straps are going to annoy you.

The bottom line is people get frustrated because they yank this out of the box and want it installed and ready to use in 5 minutes, and well, it takes more time than that.

The points that make this car seat a decent choice:
- Safety - all seats on the market today are tested and meet safety guidelines.
- Extra padding on the seat, comfortable on long trips.
- Arm rests and cup holder, added features.
- Converts to a booster! This is the biggest feature, because when your toddler reaches 40 lbs, the seat converts to a booster and can continue to be used up to 100 lbs, so you wont be out in another 3 years looking to buy a booster seat (required by law in many states). This saves you $$ in the long run. We will convert this seat to a booster and be able to use it until my son is 6 years old, so we will definitely get our moneys worth.

I'm giving it 3 stars because no seat is perfect, but overall this is a decent choice. It is one of the bigger and heavier seats on the market, so I would not recommend switching this one back and forth between vehicles - once it's installed, you'll want to leave it in one vehicle. The instruction manual is not clear and could use some revision, but with a little patience, you can figure it out!

Edited to Add - It's been several months since my original review and now I'm in the market to buy another seat for our other vehicle. After doing some research, I've discovered that this seat doesn't perform well when used as a belt-positioning booster for older children, so perhaps I won't be using it for as long as I originally thought! I won't be buying another one of these seats this time around.

1-0 out of 5 stars Cosco Alpha Omega-DO NOT BUY!!!!
The sales representative convinced us to buy this seat because it can be used up to 80 lbs as it can later be converted to a booster. We tried many times to install this seat in the rear facing position according to the manufacturer directions and current safety guidelines. We tried using towels (manufacturer suggestion) and pool noodles (friend suggestion) and still could not get the seat to incline at a 45 degree angle. The problem did not lie with our car which is a 2004 4-door sedan. We finally took our car to the local Highway Patrol station. The patrolman spent 45 minutes trying to install it and he could not get the seat at the appropriate angle either. He highly suggested returning it and buying a Graco brand seat. He told us that his experiences with Cosco car seats have not been good (Cosco makes all Eddie Bauer seats too). We followed up on his suggestion and bought a Graco seat which was much less expensive and installed with ease. It also had a neat little ball that easily told you when the seat was at the appropriate angle. The Cosco seat only had a not very visible line that you had to eyeball with the ground. By the way, we priced a booster seat and even having to buy two separate seats, it will be cheaper than buying the Alpha Omega. The Alpha Omega has a few bells and whistles but it is not worth the risk to the safety of your child that comes with a car seat that can not be properly installed.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good seat
After reading all of the reviews on this seat i decided to buy it for my 9mo old. Other than the fact that it is impossible to take the infant headreast off i really like this car seat. (i still havent been able to take it off yet) The seat itself is huge. Rear facing my husband can not drive my car b/c the seat is in the way. (i have it in the middle next to my 6yr old.)I havent had any problems with belt twisting like i have read. All in all i think this seat will end up working out well for us.

5-0 out of 5 stars Keep this one in the running...
I bought this car seat last week for my 3mth old who got too tall for his infant seat. I really love it. As a matter of fact, he would cry everytime we put him in the carseat/car prior to this purchase...not anymore! I, too, read the reviews, but went to my local toys r us and looked at all the carseats on display and this was the best for the money - nicely padded, I love the seatbelt because my two year old figured out how to undo his seatbelt - he can't do this one. ... Editorial Review

Folded up neatly for easy travel, this Bauer play yard makes entertaining Baby a non-issue in hotels, at the in-laws, or in the back yard. Opened completely, the bag becomes a sturdy enclosure that doubles as a type of bassinet. Its strong legs come with detachable wheels with wheel locks. It's airy, mesh siding keeps Baby from getting injured or too hot at the beach. The unit is roomy enough for play, changing (there is a detachable platform over the top of the unit), or sleep. Other nice features include a vibrating feature for lulling to sleep (requires 1 "D" battery), and a plush mobile that hangs from a stabilizing arc above the changing platform.

A few basic warnings: The unit is made to accommodate only one child at a time. If your child can pull up to a standing position, remove the large toys and bumper pads, which could serve as steps to climb out. In addition, there is no need for extra padding, or additional, soft mattresses or pillows, which could increase risk of suffocation. The unit comes with ample padding. Diane Beall ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Pure Perfection
I absolutely adore this playard. It literally took a minute to set up, and is more elegant looking than most. As such, it fits anywhere in my home without sticking out. The mattress is quite comfy, and my little one loves it. I purchased waterproof pads and koala brand knit portable crib sheets to put over the mattress, and they fit perfectly. I also love the fact that the toys are attached with rings than can accomodate additional or different toys, to keep my little one entertained. The vibrating bassinet and attached pocket are lifesavers. I keep wipes, diapers, a blanket, bibs, clothes etc. in there for quick changes. This is by far one of my favorite items. It does just what it says it does, and looks good doing it!

5-0 out of 5 stars VERY durable!
This playard is very durable, easy to clean, stylish, practical, and a total bargain at this price! It comes with dangling toys that cover the whole playard, not just one side, a vibrating feature, a skirt, a side-closure for drafts, wheels to wheel to any part of a room, a changing table and a bassinet that is the same size as the playard and not just half of it. My husband and I are picky people when it comes to baby items, and this playard was the one that won it for us out of all the others! We recommend it!

5-0 out of 5 stars great product
my son really enjoys it, i like that it vibrates. The mobile keeps his interest and the changing table really comes in handy.

3-0 out of 5 stars It's ok but keep shopping
the mobile is useless because it coves the whole top of the playard thus you cannot get your baby in and out with any ease.
It has vibration but no timer, so if you fall asleep at night with it on it will run until the battery dies. It does have a pocket for easy storage of sheets, and the colors are great.
I bought another one, a Graco. It has a timer, 2 settings for vibration and 3 music volumes. The graco is much better used for a bassinet.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Product
I am very pleased with my Pack & Play. My 2 month old loves the vibrating bassinet. It is very sturdy which is a huge plus. I looked at many before purchasing this one. Taking it up and down is a little time consuming, but I have not found one that isn't. I highly recommend! ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Though it looks like a toy, don't be fooled: the Nintendo GameCube is a powerful video game console that rightly deserves its place among the other next-generation game systems. In fact, its playful, appealing design and small size (the unit is a not-quite-cubed 6 inches) aren't the only features that set it apart from the others.

For starters, Nintendo has quite clearly made this a game-only machine. It doesn't try to play your CD collection, run your movies, read your e-mail, or store your MP3 files. The company has concentrated its efforts on games. All the prelaunch titles we've seen play smoothly, with bright, fast graphics and great sound. Nintendo says its engineers have removed traditional bottlenecks that have, in the past, slowed down processing. New components designed by IBM and MoSys, as well as a large-capacity secondary memory cache, keep instructions moving through the system's microprocessor (MPU) at peak levels. In English: the GameCube is optimized to push speed up while pushing costs down; hence its position at the lower end of the price spectrum.

The GameCube is the first Nintendo video game system to use a disc-based medium rather than cartridges for its games. Moving the software to disc media generally means lower development costs for the publishers, which, in turn, trickles down to the consumer not only in price, but also in availability and quality, as it's then easier to try out untested game ideas (Pikmin, anyone?). While most other systems likewise have their games stored on discs, the GameCube's 3-inch format is smaller than everyone else's, and is so designed to fit in a shirt pocket as much as to deter would-be software pirates.

Of course, the main advantage of the GameCube is that it's the home field of one of the world's premier game designers: Nintendo. While powerhouses Electronic Arts and Sega make games for all systems (including this one), you can play Nintendo games only on a Nintendo system. And Nintendo, you might recall, has been hitting them out of the park since it started with Donkey Kong. In fact, here's a roll call of characters and series you won't find on the other consoles: Mario, Legend of Zelda, Perfect Dark, Metroid, Kirby, and, of course, Pokémon. A few names that the GameCube will share with the other guys: Madden, Tony Hawk, Sonic, Batman, and Star Wars.

The system also comes with four built-in controller ports, so you can easily plug in extra controllers and let friends join in for the multiplayer games--it's even got a built-in handle so you can easily move it to a friend's house. It comes with two memory card slots for saving your progress through games, and there's the capacity for future expansion into the world of online gaming.

In short, the GameCube isn't an all-in-one entertainment system, and neither is it the most powerful of the modern video game consoles. But for video game enthusiasts who want to stick with their favorite characters, its value cannot be beat. --Porter B. Hall

5-0 out of 5 stars One of Nintedo's Greatest Consoles
The Nintendo GameCube is one of Nintendo's best systems to date. It doesn't try to have a ton of different accessories and other things like a DVD player and CD player like Sony did with the Playstation 2. Many say that they don't like the system for that reason. Who cares?! It's a video game system, for God's sake! It shouldn't be anything more. I'll leave it at that. Anyways, it's game are unique and memorable, and most are sequels to the greatest series of all time. Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Super Smash Brothers, Sonic Adventures, and MANY MORE. This system also sports great music with it's games. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker has a great soundtrack to support my theory.^^ The GameCube doesn't rely too much on RPG's, though those are it's strong points.^^; The controller isn't hard to use; none of it's buttons are on the back, and they're close together for easy use. The system holds much more memory than the N64, seeing as Nintendo has finally moved on to discs and not cartridges. If you like Nintendo, this system is for you. Even if you're not a Nintendo fan, get it anyway. You won't be dissapointed.^_^

5-0 out of 5 stars A unique ride
Consoles are bought for their exclusive games and the system's features. Halo, Xbox Live, and Knights of the Old Republic for XBox, and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Final Fantasy X for Playstation 2. But people glaze their eyes over paying any attention to the purple box with a handle and I believe they miss out.

Eternal Darkness, Metroid Prime, Super Mario Sunshine, Zelda: Wind Waker, Pikmin, and Super Monkey Ball 2 are 6 games that are about fun. Oddly enough, all but SMB2 are published by Nintendo. They understand what makes games fun to play with. ED offers mature gamers a deep story (disclaimer: its not as deep if the gamer doesn't ask questions or start looking up ancient history), and Pikmin offers a refreshingly new and charming strategic puzzle adventure.

And if you like those, you'll be happy to know that every one (but ED) of those games has a known sequel in the works. If you like Metal Gear Solid, then a remake is hitting the cube this fall. If you like Resident Evil, Cube is your system. If you have fun memories of mario kart, you'll be ready to buy Mario Kart: Double Dash this year, along with the fastest futuristic racer, F-Zero. If you like RPGs, Final Fantasy Chronicles, Phantasy Star Online, Skies of Arcadia, Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, and other very good RPGs are here or coming in a few months.

Clearly there are a lot of exclusives for everyone. If you just want your Madden 2004, and Red Faction II, or Timesplitters 2, and Splinter Cell, then you can get those too. Check out the rest of gamecube's library: ..

5-0 out of 5 stars gamecube kicks butt!!!
well i have to say this was the first system i got (out of xbox and ps2) and ive had it for 2 years now. i have 21 games for it and theyre all brand new, but theyre wer such a low price. honestly, gamecube has the games with the best quality and the lowest prices. i mean, you can get a brand new game for only like 10 bucks! this syystem already brings memories. my very first game was super smash bros. melee. heres a list of games you should look for:

1. Super Smash Brothers Melee (AWESOME GAME!!! MUSIC ROCKS!)
2. Mario Paty 4 or 5 (i recommend 4 very fun family game)
3. Animal Crossing (GREAT GAME SO MUCH TO DO NEVER GETS OLD)
4. Harry Potter (ss, cos, or poa, either one is great!)
5. Any of the Tony Hawk games (the music on #3 is the best! CKY ROCKS!!!)
6. The legend of zelda, the wind waker (awesome graphics, music, and secrets! great game!)
7. Harvest Moon, A wonderful Life (this game is....very very good. a must buy. the graphics are excellent!)
8. Starfox adventures (amazing graphics! very good game!)
9. The legend of zelda, mastor quest or collectors disc (these two games have what is probably the best n64 game ever created!)
10. James Bond Games (I recomend Nightfire, it has the best levels!)
11. Medal of Honor games (great war games! I recomend Frontline!)
12. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (I LOVE THIS GAME!! THE MUSIC ROCKS AND SONIC IS THE BEST GAME SERIES!!!)

Oh, one more thing! Nintendo was the first (besides atari) to come out with a gaming system! It has the most systems (besides SEGA) and lets face it: Nintendo knows games! it has the best sustems:

Nintendo (NES)
Super Nintendo (SNES)
Gameboy
Gameboy Pocket
Gameboy Color
Gameboy Advance
Nintendo 64
Gameboy Advance SP
Nintendo Gamecube

If you dont have a GC, I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS GEM OF A GAME SYSTEM!!!! NINTENDO IS THE MOST SUCCEEDING GAME COMPANY IN THE WORLD!!!!!

Best Console Of The 3 From good old Nintendo
Nintendo Gamecube is a Awesome Console with some CONS explore all 3 but Gamecube is still the best.

GAMECUBE

Games 9/10 Best Games on any Console New exclusives Like RESIDENT EVIL METROID PRIME and much more!!! Not The most games but they are really good.

Graphics 8/10 to some morons who said GC graphics suck if you look Closely they are almost as good as XBOX games are dark thats why the graphics are good GC are light but still good.

Controller 7/10 in my opinion they are the best comfy and are easy to use however really bad vibrations.

Internet 4/10 Better internet than PS2 however Very few online games has Mario cark double dash for internet and PHANTASY STAR ONLINE.

PS2

Graphics 4/10 Arent good Dreamcast graphics are almost as good as that Real Blurry and games are too dark to hide the graphics cant handle some games. Terrrible Graphics. ps2 Has good games like GTA and DDR and FIANL Fantasy Wait XBOX as GTA DDR AND FINAL FANTASY so games for ps2 are nothing.

Games 5/10 biggest selection of games however Most of the games they have are terrible and are not worth buying. Even the best games like Wolfenstein and other good games look Terrible when on PS2

Controller 9/10 Best Controller out there good at everything mostly fighting games.

Internet 6/10 As quite alot of internet games really laggy and bad connection Cheap Adopter pretty good

XBOX

Games 7/10 has great games for 13+ of course xbox games are for older people Really good games

Graphics 9/10 really good graphics nuff said

Controller 4/10 Big Klunky Awkward Design Has alot of buttons

Internet 10/10 has a HUGE selection of internet games has XBOX live worth the cost.

OVERALL GC IS BEST GET IT

5-0 out of 5 stars Don't forget the extra costs
I recently decided between a Gamecube, a Playstation 2, and an Xbox. I was leaning toward PS2 since I already have a bunch of PS1 games, but that got me thinking; if a large part of a systems value is not only how good the games are, but also how MANY games you can play, doesn't it make sense to consider the cost of purchasing additional games?

With this new consideration, I quickly chose Gamecube. Look, a major reason the decision between the three systems is so hard is because they are all good, and they all have their own unique advantages (which are hard to compare against each other when making decisions). Maybe Xbox graphics are the best, maybe PS2 lets me play games from PS1, but I was able to buy a used Gamecube (80), a used copy of NBA 2003 (15), a used copy of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 (9), and a new copy of Crazy Taxi (20) from Electronics Boutique. In the end, I paid only >> 4 << dollars more than getting a used PS2 with nothing.

If you want a great system, you can pick Xbox, Playstation 2, or Gamecube. If you want a great system that you can play new games in all the time (without going broke), get the Gamecube. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Broke after 4 months
I had been using this carseat for 4 months when it broke. We were using the pull strap to tighten down the harness, and the spring that tightens, and makes the "click" sound, broke. The straps were completely loose and moveable. My husband was able to rig it to stay tigthened down, but it could not be adjusted. We took it immediately to Babies R Us for a return.Since it happened on the weekend, the Graco Support center was closed.Even if they were open, this is not a part that is listed as a part you can order. We couldn't wait and risk our son's safety, so we exchanged it for the Evenflo Triumph 5 DLX, which comes highly rated from my sister.Overall, I liked this seat. The memory padding was great, and my son seemed very comfortable. The shoulder strap pads were great in keeping the harness from cutting into our son't skin.I wish I was able to keep them, because they are nicer than those on our new seat.We had this seat in the Kimberton print, which has been discontinued and replaced with this one.The Kimberton print was a supersoft suede, and we didn't like the new fabric. The nylon seems like it could get sticky and hot in the summer. It just seemed "cheaper" than the previous version. It is also a very large seat.It sits really high in the rear-facing position.Lastly, I found it hard to use the pull strap to tighten the harness when the seat is in the rear facing position because it is pushed up against your car's seat back, and you can't get a good angle on it.It just felt awkward and you had to move the car seat back a little access the strap. We'll see what happens with the new seat!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
I love this car seat! It seems so comfortable for my 9 month old (he is 22lbs.).It also fits great in my PT Cruiser and my Nissan Titan.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for my kids
I too have twins (20 month old boys) and this carseat is great for them. They are only in the 10th percentile so this seat will go far for us! We love the color, and it seemed the safest on the market...

WE always loved the graco name, and this carseat really does it justice!! It took my husband about 30 minutes to SECURLY install one of these seats, not too bad at all, and it really isnt too tricky if you follow the directions. Installing it foward facing was much easier and only took about 20 minutes for one seat, this is amazingly simple compared to stories I have heard about other carseats!! I can have the boys in here untill they are 40 lbs, not as much as other seats but fine for us... The straps are ridiculously easy for me or my husband to adjust, and you dont have to take off the cover. I can easily have this seat rear-facing, or foward facing, easy to reqline and to change possition too. Both of them fit very well in my Expadition and I too have one in the middle seat and one behind the passengers seat. The cover comes off really easilly, and it washes just as easily... The cover is easy to wipe up with a baby wipe for those quick fixes. The straps are very, very comfortable and they never tangle around my pettite boys bodies. Its very comfortable and I love the extra foam that some seats tend to lack, my boys always fall asleep in these seats and they are never uncomfortable, and they are never floping their heads around. The energy absorbing foam liner is really cool, and I found out its VERY safe... Even my husband said this chair is superb in saftey (he's a police officer).

You just can't get better than this Comfort SPort, I have never had another seat and boy am I glad!!

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT SEAT!
My twin boys are now 21 months old and are only in the 32nd percentile! We bought them a marathon origionally but sadly they were left on the porch when my husband and I went out (my sons were at their grandmothers) and it started to pour and the seats were totaled... Well we went out to buy a different one, because the marathon wasnt really all it was cracked up to be anyways (so we didnt really rush over to save it once it started to pour ;) ) This graco was perfect...

At the store we loved how small it looked compared to other carseats (we have to fit two in our SUV, even though its an Escolade we still wanted something small). THe colors were fabulous and my boys seemed to like it. The seat seemed to be extra padded and very comfortable, it seemed really really nice. It was easy for my husband to install in the parking lot, and it fit very snuggly. We could also have our boys in it for another year/year and 1/2, which was really important to us.

Well once home we found even more wonders of this Graco seat! First of all it must have been a god-send because our once car hating boys turned into wonderful car passengers and would sleep within minutes of being placed into this seat! Their heads didnt flop all over the place either, it was a nice smooth ride that my boys really loved. The straps are very easy to adjust, and you dont need to take off the cover to do so, and they dont get all tangly and anoying like our old seats. I can easily wipe something off of the cover for a quick clean, but it is also TOO easy to take off and throw into the wash, its amazing!! It snugly fits into the car, and there is room for one more person in the seat behind the driver! The seat also looks extremely safe in rear-facing position (we tryed it just for the sake of the review) and the added infant support would work wonders for a newborn transitioning from infant carrier to carseat or if you just placed a baby who was a few weeks old inside, it would surely be safe and comfortable.

We really thought that the MArathon wasnt "too bad" and that all carseats were like that, but this Graco ComfortSport showed us how horrible the Marathon was, and how much easier technology can make it for a parent of twin toddlers who are almost into the "terrible twos"... THANKS GRACO!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars this is by far the greatest car seat available/most comforta

Editorial Review

A good infant car seat should offer four key features: safe design, comfort for the occupant, convenience for the parents, and a stylish appearance. The Chesapeake model from Peg Pérego comes through on all counts. It features a five-point harness system to keep young ones firmly in place, ample padding all around, and an additional halo pad to cradle baby's head (perfect for dozing off on long car trips). The seat is equipped with LATCH, a car seat system mandated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that requires points of anchorage on the top and bottom of the car seat base. Despite its firm anchoring, this car seat also detaches easily for toting. It's upholstered in a bright red fabric, and also sports a retractable canopy. --Alice Merritt ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Stormy's Aunt
I purchased this car seat when my niece was born and I had difficulties from the start. Getting her little arms through the straps was and still is difficult and she is now 4 months old. The unit is heavier than most and I must confess I bought it because it looked good. Changing cars means setting up the base and that too is difficult because you have to level while it is strapped to the seat. Once you get the base leveled, then when you place the car seat in with the baby...the base becomes unleveled...so it becomes a guessing game.
The one plus I have for this infant seat is that it attaches pretty easily with the Primo Viaggo stroller, which I love.

3-0 out of 5 stars It's O-K....
This carseat wasn't as great as I thought it was going to be.I first registered for it b/c this brand was what "all the new moms were getting".My son was born very little (only 6 lbs) and in July.He was sweating in this carseat after the first week or so and always cried in it.He grew so fast that by the time he was 2 months old, he was 14.5 lbs and squished into his carseat and cried even more when he was in it.His backside was always hot and sweaty. Not only that, the Primo Viaggio infant carseat was heavy to begin with but with the added weight of the baby, I was struggling. We bought the Britax Marathon carseat and changed him into it by the time he was 4 months old.He LOVES his carseat now and enjoys every car ride now that he's not squished, sweaty and uncomfortable.Seems that it was a waste of money to only use the infant carseat for 4 months.

3-0 out of 5 stars Before buying, make sure base fits in car!
We bought this car seat because of the great review in the Baby Bargains book, and for the clean styling. After spending an hour trying to install it, we figured out that the LATCH system only works if you have the LATCH system installed on the BOTTOM of your car seat (not the latches behind the back seat head rests). Our car does not have the LATCH system at the top AND bottom of the seat. That is an *extra* updated feature.

We figred there had to be another way to install it without using the LATCH system...we went to the Highway Patrol who proceeded to tell us that there is a way to install it, but since our seats aren't flat enough in the back, the car seat won't work in our car anyway. Our car is an '02 Audi A4 - pretty common size in cars, I think.

Not really worth the money. The Highway Patrol said that he prefers (for safety reasons) the Evenflo car seats - but this one is a safe car seat if it fits right. Now I have to buy another car seat AND stroller since it went together with the Aria stroller....

1-0 out of 5 stars NOT SAFE!!
I took this car seat to my local fire department for safe installment and I was told it was an unsafe seat for my baby b/c there is so much cushion b/w the baby and the plastic. The more cushion, the more air, and the more unsafe for baby.I am going out to buy a graco snugride.Do not waste your money on this seat, even if you want to buy a peg perego stroller to use with it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love this seat
I love this car seat!!The snug fit, keeps my little girl safe and cozy. She easily falls asleep in this car seat. The straps are easy to adjust. The fabric is well made; it doesn't look cheap like some of the other seats. Consumer Reports also rated this car seat as one of the safest. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Been playing GT4 Prologue for about a month!
I seriously hope that Sony puts a lot more effort into their completed product. Mind you the graphics are superb, I don't think that anyone can deny that. Playing the game looks like watching the intro movie. The driving physics are improved from the previous game, to a point. My major complaint is that when any type of traction control is turned on all the cars seem to drive the same. A rear wheel drive car drives like a front and vice versa. All the cars oversteer with the computer aided driving control. This problem is exacerbated in the rally modes. Another issue is the camera angles. The incar and 1st out of car angles are fine. The farthest camera angle makes the car look completely two-dimensional. The car turns like it is on a pivot about eight feet behind the car; it sweeps across the screen versus steering.

Don't get me wrong, I have had a blast playing this game and will be the first in line when a release date is set. Everything that is good about this game far outweighs the bad. But, nonetheless, the negative points are a direct correlation to how the game is played.

I'll say one thing, the tracks are phenomenal, the rally track especially. It also looks like they may be adding Sears Point Raceway, now known as Infineon. I could be wrong; but based on some of the ending movies I was able to recognize some key landmarks.

Can't wait to play the real thing, minus the Prologue bugs.

4-0 out of 5 stars READ THIS I HAVE PLAYED IT!
I got a chance to get behind the wheel at E3 this year, so for all die hard fans out there this review is for you! One huge difference in the game one sees off the bat is the graphics. With new elements such as weather effects(rain, snow, etc.) and much more pixels per square inch it can be hard to tell the difference between the simulator and reality. Yes indeed many more cars will be availible, but unlike the previous Gran Turismo games many more classic cars will be availible. I cannot say what cars exactly, but some new brands will be added as well that have not been availible before.

Here is the kicker, Sony teamed up with Logitech for the ultimate driving wheel to accompany the game. Much like last GT3 with the Force feedback wheel, Logitech has gone up and beyond unlike anything before this. A brand new Steering Wheel with a 900 DEGREE TURNING RADIUS!!!! unlike previous wheels with only about 200 degrees you will actually have to work hard to control the car. More than one turn on the wheel to be at full turning point! The Wheel is set to accompany the games release sometime near the fourth quarter of 2003!

5-0 out of 5 stars Posibly the most impressive looking racer to date
Posibly the most impressive looking racer to date. If only other game making companies could apply as much effort into a game as Sony has done with GT4

The hottest game to be unleashed
GT3 was an awesome game, from the tune ups to the formula ones. I tried the prologue of GT4, and WHOA. The graphics were awesome, but it was only 80 % done in the prolugue. And for those supercars lovers, there wil be lamborghinis, ferarris, and the Mclaren F1 GTR. There will also be the real car physics (the acceleration, handling, and top speed), and the race tracks extremely detailed. This is a best buy
