Tons of Bounce for the Buck!
My son received this item as a birthday gift for his fourth birthday and he and his younger brother (2 years old) absolutely LOVE IT!!! They could spend all afternoon jumping in their SpongeBob Bounce'Round. It is just a nice size that we are able to fit it into our basement play area for the days that it is raining so that they both can still have a great time playing with their new gift. A great purchase for the money. It is also a great way to tire them out so they are ready for bedtime!!! ... Read more

Teacher Review

With this well-designed, double-sided easel, preschoolers can enjoy the advantages of creative expression on an upright surface. The easel's frame is made from sturdy wood left in its natural state, with thick pressed board used as the bases for the art surfaces. One side of the easel has a 24-by-24-inch, green chalkboard, and the other side has a 24-by-24-inch, white dry-erase board. Two removable, washable trays are included to attach to the easel (one with molded spaces to hold paint jars and brushes). The easel requires simple assembly, but no tools are required and all bolts and plastic bolt covers are included. Some thoughtful design aspects include an adjustable height feature, a convenient, built-in paper towel holder, and two metal clips to attach paper for painting. Included in the set are some art supplies to get started: four large, no-spill paint jars, six small jars of poster paint, four paint brushes, a package of colored chalk, six dry-erase markers, a foam eraser. This set was a winner of the Dr. Toy Best Classic Toys Award, and it would be a winning addition to any playroom, family daycare home, or preschool. --Marcie Bovetz, mother and former children's librarian ... Great item, but a very pricey
I expected the item to arrive with more supplies and some paper for first time use. My husband and I both agree that the item is well made, durable and the kids love it. The price was just too high, at [$$$] for the item plus shipping, because the item was heavy, this was a [$$$] purchase. Assembly was easy enough, except that the holes on the chalkboard were a little off and it took brute force the line the holes up for the bolt. All in all if I could have returned it without paying another [$$$] I probably would have and spent my [$$$] on art supplies alone. I hope this easel will last through all my children, that way maybe I'll feel justified in the price I paid.

Very nice easel, but...
My sister purchased this item as a Christmas present for my 3 year old son. He was very excited while his dad was assembleing the easel, however he could not enjoy it right away because the 75 foot paper roll supposed to come with it was not included in the package. Another dissapointed fact was the blue poster color that my son accidentaly spotted the carpet did not come off easily and left parmanent stain on the carpet. We've tried every way to remove the stain (steam vac, detergent, etc.), but we could not get lid of it. I was very surprised the color was not water based considering it is a product for kids.

Worth every penny!
I purchased this easel for my four year old son. Not only am I pleased that it was so simple to assemble (on Christmas eve!) but it has become a great source of entertainment. The frame is sturdy and will last a long time in a busy house. The marker board wipes off easily and has not discolored at all. The trays help little hands to organize and use the chalk, paints and markers. It did not come with a roll of paper, but the paint jars, brushes, dry erase markers, chalk and eraser were included. Tiny paints were included but are used up quickly. I am highly pleased that I spent the extra money to buy this model.

a lemon
The easel arrived with two problems. One was that the tray had apparently broken in shipment. In part this was due to faulty packaging. However, upon breaking it apparently shatters into many sharp edged fragments.

The other problem, even more troubling, was that one of the legs had holes which were so improperly drilled that it was impossible to assemble.

I must say that Amazon.com was very prompt and courteous in their response to our complaint and quickly arranged for prepaid shipment back with refund.

Something missing
We purchased this item for Christmas for our 31/2year old and 61/2year old. They both loved the easel. It was missing, however, the paper roll that was supposed to come with it. That was very discouraging for our 31/2 year old as he wanted to paint right away. I am waiting for an answer via email about this problem. Some of the screw holes didn't line up properly so we had to really jam the bolts into the holes of the boards, doing a little bit of damage but not enough to go through the trouble of returning the easel. It looks great and the kids use it to play school etc... Hopefully the paper roll will turn up sometime soon. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

The Legend of Zelda series practically defined adventure gaming for an entire generation. Link, the hero of the adventure games, delighted millions by starring in games for each Nintendo console from the NES and Super NES to the Nintendo 64. Link brings this beloved franchise to the Nintendo GameCube in The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and he's more animated than ever.

The first thing you'll notice about The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker is that it looks completely different from any previous title in the franchise. Nintendo has opted to use cel-shading technology on Wind Waker; the result is that the game looks like a cartoon. Die-hard Zelda purists initially howled at this change, arguing that the game skews too young. I think it's fantastic. The cartoon animation style allows for better expression of the characters, and several of the animations--like Link trying to pick up an object that's too heavy--are so cute that you can't help but laugh a little.

The second thing you’ll notice is a focus on wind. Instead of trotting around on foot, Link travels from island to island on a talking boat, but he doesn't get far without the wind blowing in right direction. Luckily, you'll learn how to change the direction of the wind early in the game, and you'll do so frequently--not only to power your boat but also to solve puzzles. Clever use of wind makes Wind Waker stand out from more conventional adventure games.

The third thing you’ll notice is that the game is just plain fun. Puzzles are innovative and refreshing, and despite some tricky puzzles, I never felt too frustrated to keep playing. The locales you'll visit are invariably exotic and fun to explore, and the host of bizarre creatures you'll encounter (friendly and otherwise) are always a kick in the pants. Moreover, though the look is radically different, Wind Waker feels like a classic Zelda game. Veterans of the early games in the franchise will experience more than a bit of nostalgia while playing it.

The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker is everything you've come to expect from a Zelda game, and it's one of the best adventure games to date. This is a must-have title for any GameCube owner. --Jon "Safety Monkey" Grover

Pros:

 • New cel-shaded animation looks great
 • Puzzles and characters are a lot of fun
 • There's a special place in the heart of any gamer who's ever owned a Nintendo console, and that place is shaped like a Triforce

Cons:

 • Some Zelda purists may be turned off by the cartoon look

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing.
I'm one of the biggest fans of Ocarina of Time on the planet Earth. I loved EVERYTHING about Ocarina, and it's followup, Majora's Mask. So obviously, I was highly anticipating The Wind Waker, the third Zelda game to go 3-D.

It starts off decent enough, and the first three dungeons are pretty satisfying, and the cel-shaded graphics are extremely well done, even if you prefer realistic presentations. Technically, they're brilliant.

After the first three dungeons, however, it becomes evident that the game was rushed. The next two go from decent to horrible (not to mention that I didn't die ONCE in the whole game, it's that easy), and after that you're sent on a fetch-quest all over the oceanic world, which by the way is FAR too large for its own good.

Keep in mind that as a game, it's not terrible. But as a successor to Ocarina of Time, it just doesn't hold up for me. The dungeons aren't anywhere near as good, the overworld is too large, the game is too humorous for something like this, and there is no real sense of accomplishment: Ooh, I solved this extra puzzle that I didn't have to, what do I get!?!?!...

Oh...it's...a...necklace...great.

It's good, but it's not worth [the money]if you ask me.

5-0 out of 5 stars To Set the Record Straight.
After reading several of the reviews of this game, I couldn't help but add my two cents. Aren't we all tired of grammatically incorrect reviews that sound like they came from the second grade classroom?
This game, simply put, is amazing. I was skeptical at first when I saw the cel-shaded graphics. Believe me when I say the screenshots do not do this game justice. The lighting, the framrate, the textures and the animation all combine to make the BEST looking game this side of Metroid Prime or Halo. The art style fits this type of game perfectly. If you were to look back at the art of the original Zelda game on NES, you would be astounded by the similarities. The graphics add to the game in such a way you would never expect. Stuck in a dungeon? Swing the Camera around and take a look at where Link's beautifully animated eyes are pointed. Want to know which direction the wind is blowing? Look at Link's hat blowing in the proper direction. That brings me to another topic. The facial animations are second to none. Okay, now don't laugh, but there will be times when you literally laugh out loud, or feel like crying. The game is that good at connecting with you. But enough about the graphics.
The sound effects and musical tracks in this game quite simply blew me away. After my first day of playing this game I found myself humming to several of the overworld themes. With a few exceptions (Link makes an annoying sound when he crawls) the sound effects are great. The grunts, bonks, sword clashes and water splashes all sound like they should.
The staple of the Zelda series has always been gameplay, and the Wind Waker has it in spades. The gameplay is quite similar to Ocarina of Time as far as control. The dungeons are fun and some of the puzzles are very clever. The game doesn't seem to be quite as difficult as Ocarina, but as a whole it is longer. I would like to personally congratulate the person who decided you would be sailing in a boat. From the first moment I was sailing the high seas there was a huge grin on my face. It still may be there, as a matter of fact. The game world consists of a 7x7 matrix of squares. Each square has at least one island, and it takes a minute or two to sail the distance of just ONE square. You can start to get an idea of just how expansive this game is. Not unlike every other Zelda game, there are side and optional quests to keep you playing long after you have conquered your last dungeon. If you own a Gamecube, it would be a shame if you didn't own a copy of this game. And if you don't have a Gamecube, this game alone would be worth the price. (Plus you can get Metroid for free, so that would be twice the fun.)
If you look at this game and its cel-shaded graphics and dismiss it as "kiddie" or "dumb" maybe you should grow up yourself.

5-0 out of 5 stars Genus
This game is by far the best zelda ever. It is not the same game at all. You sail the seas in a major adveture to become the new hero. Defeat Ganon, Saving the princess zelda, and rescue your sister that was taken by a big over growned bird. meet pirates and divers. Also see the new Link, his Grandma, Aryll his sister, Tetra the female pirate, also the King, and the princess.

5-0 out of 5 stars I could never give any less
Though I AM disappointed with the graphics, this is an awesome game. It's got great game play, excellent controls and beautiful colours.

First, the storyline: definitely not as good as the others but it has it's pros too. PROS/ I like how Tetra is really Zelda in disguise. Ganondorf makes his appearance. CONS/ Link is not really Link. The guy you control who RESEMBLES Link is actually just a boy who dresses in Link clothing and takes the legendary sword and shield. The water filled base, it's cool at first and maybe if it was smaller but most of the whole map/world is water and it gets annoying when you're trying to sail and everytime you want to go another way you have to play the song.

The temples: Only a couple, somewhat of a challenge, pretty well done. I love the enemies and the fact that you have to sneak around under a barrel just so you won't get caught. Puzzling but not as hard as OoT and some of the parts in MM.

The characters: The only character I really like is Tetra and Ganondorf. It would have been a lot better if you were playing as the real Link but you're not. You can pretend all you want but firstly, Link doesn't have a sister (especially a sissy one who would get captured) and secondly, Link does not show much emotion. The main reason for cel shading this game was to have the so-called Link show emotions but in my views, Link is a tough guy who doesn't like to show much emotion. See the facial gestures in Oot, MM and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

In all, this is an excellent game to play, the temples and underground caves are fun to play and the items are cool and interesting. Tingle is the same weirdo as always and the "small fry" fish is cool. Okay well that's all I can write since my computer is messing up royal, anyways, this is an amazing game and I suggest you buy it especially if you enjoyed the other Zelda games. A good edition.

Wind waker
Once again Nintendo rewards it's fans with another masterpiece.
Remeber Pong and Super mario bros. cheesy graphics. Did they matter? No. Nintendo has long taught us that games are fun not because of graphics, but because of innovation and Game play(story, mechanics). But this game succeeds in all categories. The latest innstallment of The Legend of Zelda has by far the best art style in any game to this date. I admire Nintendo for breaking out of the norm of games and daring to create a new experience. This game far exeeded my expectations. Magnificent gmaeplay, wonderful story, interesting new characters and amazing graphics. I love the addition of the grappling hook, swinging around on ropes and chandelleers is addicting. If a game can introduce a new style and completly immerse you in them within seconds, that is success. This game does just that. As usual their is plenty of side quests to keep you playing for months on end. As with Majora's Mask this game also allows you to play as other character in certain levels. Another great addition is the expressions on Links face. He glances around(helping you with clues), grunts with heavy lifting and much more. The attention to the slightest details have all been paid. For instance the ropes holding the bridges can be cut or torn resulting in a dangerous situation for whoever crosses it. There is always two ways to completing a puzzel. The environment is by far the largest of the series, plenty of islands to explore. This game has a gentle learning curve and is very rewarding. As with the first Zelda the second time through offers new elements.
I highly reccomend buying this game, it is a gem in the History of Nintendo. ... Read more

Great for a horse or animal enthusiast
My 4-year old daughter got this 8 months ago and it is a winner. The two compartments, many doors, storage areas and folding fence give her all she needs to make her space for her many horses and other animals. It gets used every day and nothing has broken.

Worth the money
This play barn is exactly what I was looking for for my 4 year old son who is a Horse enthusiast. It is much bigger than I expected, beautiful, and has lots of opening doors and gates. It also comes with a fence that folds up and stores neatly in the barn. This barn is big enough for Breyer horses, and has an a swing out side. It was a great purchase and highly recommended.

Nice barn for toy horses
Just got this item today and I am impressed with it's compatibility for various sizes of toy horses. I especially love the fact that it can be folded up to a smaller size to be tucked into a closet when needed.

This barn has multiple doors that open-some slide and other's are dutch doors. We do have another barn of this type that has the dutch doors and the hinge's fell apart right away. I am hoping this one will be better since the doors do seem to open and close more smoothly on this particular barn...but need to stress that the kids need to be somewhat 'gentle' with these dutch doors so they don't break the hinges. The manufacturer really should attach them with metal hinges and they would last alot longer.

Overall...I feel my kids are going to get alot of enjoyment out of this barn. ... Read more

Stand out in a crowd
My son just got this 2 days ago. I had to put it together before he could use it. It was not difficult at all. In no time, my son was riding his new vehicle. He thought that it was great. He is average to a bit small for his age (4 1/2 years old), but had no problem reaching the pedals. He loves the fact that he can drive it like his daddy drive's his car. My son is the only one in his neighborhood with a car like this and likes to show it off whenever he can. The car looks as if it is quite duable, and should last for many years to come.

Great toy
Our 3.5 year old son loves it. He was able to learn how to operate it within one day and likes riding it. There is no risk of it tipping over (as we had seen with his trike) and he enjoys the control he has riding the vehicle. We also love the fact that he has to use the pedals to ride it which gives him a chance to utilize the endless amount of energy he seems to have.

Would definately recommend it to another child. One point weakness though:
The front steering is not protected - he hig a concrete step causing the steering bar to pop out - no problem - it could be pushed back and he could continue to ride it without problems.

BEST PRESENT EVER!!!
We bought this for our son for Christmas when he was 6. He wanted one of those electric Jeep's. One major reason we decided to NOT go with the Jeep was that at the time we lived upstairs and had no where to keep it and no desire to haul it up and down stairs every day. The next best reason was that we knew he would outgrow it likely within a year. When we saw the Kettcars they looked so cool, light and affordable! Christmas morning he saw it and cared little about anything else! To this day, it is his favorite outside toy! He is 8 now and nearly ready for the next size up, so we will probably get him one this Christmas, which he really wants, especially since the larger models have actual rubber tires, and he likes to pretend he is a mechanic. I would highly recommend this! Another thing...when we go to the park, he is the center of attention, which makes him feel good and I am happy to say that he is wonderful about sharing turns with other kids.

This review is for kids from 13-16
Well what is there to say but this is the greatest toy ever created. We found this car in my friend (Degos) garage. As soon as we saw it we fell in love. First we just went down hills with it but that wasnt enough. We hooked it up to the back of my tractor and went over huge inclines with it. Then we rode it down a hill into my dog house. Let me say that was the high point of my ket carting. Then we were looking for new extents so we drove off the roof of my garage with it which resulted in a broken arm and a bruised rectum. Finally we took it down a steep off road hill and tried 2 land on a parking lot and ride down the hill on the parking lot. This was the end of the ket cart. We tried fixing it but nothing seemed to work. Now we are at school raising money for the ket cart releif fund which is doing pretty well all we need is 32 more dollars. Overall this is a great toy and is suitable for all ages.

A MUST HAVE
We bought this for our then 4 year old son 2 years ago for Christmas. He has loved every minute of it since then. He has an easy time peddling, steering, and stopping. We have adjusted the seat to accomodate his growth 2 times and have never had any complaints! I would highly reccomemend this toy in addition to ride-on toys you might already own. Update for my other review
This game sounds very fun In adventure mode the story is that an evil organization has made pokemon evil and now they use them as there slaves. Your job is to defeat the evil pokemon and steel them from the organization. Now whats even greatter is that the new pokemon games that are possibly coming out 8 websites that I read said there going to come out Q3 Witch is July - september. They are remakes of the other ones the orginal pokemon blue and red they are called pokemon fire red and green leaf and the pokemon can be transfered into pokemon colosseum and if you dont know what green it is ok only the japenese people know red and green where the first pokemon games and blue was a later version in japan but green never made it anywhere over seas and also there is going to be a wireless link bundled with it. It supports up to 5 players but there has to be special games that support this feature and best of all its wireless so you dont have to put up with the link becoming lose.Over all pokemon colosseum is going to be great and so are the new gba games.

5-0 out of 5 stars pokemon colosseum
It is one of the grates games i have played in my life.I love playing it.

A sad try to keep the trend thriving.
While Colosseum is fun... some what, and the Pokemon them selves look cute and cool (Or in wailord's case, properly HUGE) but the game all together is a sad try to get more people back into the World of Pokemon. I personaly break it down like this:

Fun level: 6/10
Let's face it, one of Pokemon's long time falws is there aren't many truly difficult battles. Once you get the second badge you just grow (which takes forever I'll admit)till your team is strong enough, and then fight. This time however, you have all the badges, and you start with a team that can both take a pounding and dish it out as well. The added challange of stealing Shadow Pokemon dose add a spark that helps, but not enough.

Gamer freindly: 9/10
The controls are easy, all the basic stuff is all there. But you now have to get to a computer to save. I have been just about to fight one of the few tough battles, and the last save spot is a 2 minute walk from where I am standing. The loss of save anywhere hurt how freindly the game is to what the Gamer sometimes has to deal with. However, a good gamer (which is just about any gamer really) can easilly adapt to this minor problem.

Story: 9.5/10
The idea of you being a reformed criminal is a nice way to go at it. Plus that fact that in the begining movie you steal something from your former team, and then blow up the hide out, adds a kind of ironic humor games rarely have. Then the whole bit about Shadow pokemon is a nice touch. The story line it self is nice really, but like all Pokemon games, it isn't perfect. For example, where are the cops I mean come on. You're still a criminal for all they know, and the 2 cops you DO meet just stand there and say "Hello. The city seam to have a lot of crime in it lately" Some police ofrce.

Game Length: 5/10
Ok, this is POKEMON we're talking about here right? The game that requires a week to really get started right? Not this time. With in a couple of weeks I had stolen Suicune, Entei, and was totaly unstoppable. In the time it normaly takes to get a third of the way through normaly, I had allready fought the last battle. Sorry guys, but this game is just WAY too short for Pokemon.

Graphics: 10/10
The attack and Pokemon graphics are one of the few things that save this game. The cute Pokemon are cuter, the cool are cooler and size is finnaly acurate. I was never able to imagine Wailord's size for example. I sure can now, WHAT A WHOPPER! True some graphics are better than others, but any game like this has that quality.

Overall: A disapointing 5/10
Let's face it, the makers of Pokemon were just too desperate to put a new game for the gamecube on the market. They should have just stuck with the traditional game, made this one longer, or made a Pokemon stadium that could connect with Ruby, Saphire, and all of their predicessers. True Pokemon fans will still enjoy this game, but if Nintendo want to keep Pokemon alive, they had better do ALOT better next time.

AWESOME
CORVETTE RACE CAR IS LIKE NO OTHER. THE BEST OF ITS KIND SO FAR.

This vehicle is not durable!
Our 4 year old put less than 20 hours on this car and the rear wheels are slamming back and forth to the point that it's no longer useable. The engineering design of the rear is poor. The motors are attached to each wheel separately and not anchored to the vehicle.

The vehicle is sharp to look at and the kids love it, but it is not durable and at the price is a poor purchase. ... Read more

ADHD son loves this
My son has a thousand motors working without this kit, I rarely can slow him down. I bought this and he loves it! He will sit and play with it. This kit stimulates his brain enough that he doesn't have to run around, tearing down the house, chipping the walls, screaching, teasing and peeling paint. Anyone with ADHD kids out there know what I mean? Gotta have something like this, for kids like these!!!

It doesn't contain a huge amount of pieces like a box of blocks and after a few tries with adult help, I would say an eight year old can do this alone. It isn't dangerous. There are a couple of parts that can be torn easily by rough kids but a lot of stuff can still be made any way.

Make lazer sounds, sirens, make songs come out, or fans, a ufo spin off toy (launches in the air),several types of games to play, a doorbell, a couple of computer part thingies, other light blinkie things, even stuff your kid can only dream up. Has lots of noisy sounds that will drive you nuts so send the kid somewhere else. LOL.

Wonderful toy
My son received this for Christmas and has not stopped playing with it. He has asked me to get this for his cousins for their birthdays. One warning, the music chip can be REAL annoying (prefect for kids!).

This is an AWESOME toy
My 7 year old just LOVES this kit. It is so easy to use and so much fun. I would recommend this for any scientist in your house!

Easy, Educational and Entertaining
I bought the regular version - ages 8 - 108 for my 8 year old son. He loves putting together one of the over 200 experiments. He can do it by himself because the pictures show EXACTLY what pieces are needed and where to put them. He is learning how electrical things work without even knowing it. Short explanations of the experiments are included.

An excellent introduction to Electronics.
The best point in favour of this product is that it is lego style toy that does not intimidate a child with intricate electronic components. My 6-1/2 year old daughter started playing with it and was very excited to have completed her first project to light a bulb with a switch. Theories of electricity followed naturally when initially the bulb did not lightup. I showed her the shiny metal strip beneath the connectors and explained conductivity a little.

Another major advantage is that there are mostly no wires, and the components are hidden from view, giving it a very un-complicated look that a child can easily comprehend. This difference makes possible for my daughter to actually play with it.

The only problem seems to be the quality of plastic used. It looks as if it might break if a component was bent while snapping in. Still, I highly recommend this product. ... Read more

I know it is a little more expensive than other swings, but this is an excellent swing. It is very comfortable, and the rope means no pinches. It is comfortable for any size, anything from little kids, right up to above average adults. It seems durable, doesn't weaken or lose colour in the sun. It is very strong, and very thick. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Barbie Bed a great item!
I bought this for my five year old daughter, who is a Barbie enthusiast. She absolutely love it. It's a quality toy for the price: the mattress is durable, easy to inflate/deflate, and easy to roll up/store. The sleeping bag is made of warm, soft fabric that washes well. The whole thing rolls up and transports easily to slumber parties, grandma's house, and pretend camping trips. Considering the price and quality of toys overall (especially in the Barbie category), I consider this one of the better values. I also think it would make a great birthday gift. I wish this bed was made in motifs for boys - my three year old son gets a kick out of it too!

GREAT for sleepovers!
We live a few hours from family and when we visit, we always sleep on the floor in the living room. I bought 2 of these (one Scooby) for my 6 and 3 year old children because they always had trouble sleeping on the hard floor and we were up all night which left them quite cranky the following day. Since we got these beds, they sleep peacefully through the whole night, I no longer need to lug their pillows or extra blankets. They absolutely love them, which is important. I have caught them jumping like it's a trampoline, but they haven't sprung a leak yet!

The ONLY improvement I would like them to change is the valve. We have a small portable air pump that would make inflation a snap, but their valve doesn't fit any of the pumps out there and I even inquired about an adaptor but they don't offer one so you're left pumping by hand which is a pain.

THIS IS THE FUTURE OF SLEEPING BAGS!
THE BED IS GREAT, IT GOES ON TRIPS WITH US, AND GET THIS, I HAVE SLEPT ON IT. BY THE WAY, I AM 5'9, 158LBS.

SOME COMPLAINED THAT IS LEAKS, THE ONLY JUSTIFICATION FOR THAT IS, SOME KIDS USE IT AS A TRAMPOLINE!

I HAVE HAD MINE FOR ALMOST A YEAR, AND HAVE INSTRUCTED ALL KIDS WHO STAY OVER, DO NOT JUMP ON IT! IT IS STRICTLY FOR LAYING, OR SLEEPING.

I ALSO HAVE AN AEROBED THAT LEAKS, BECAUSE I CAUGHT THE KIDS JUMPING AND WRESTLING ON IT.

AGAIN, THIS IS A GREAT AND DURABLE PRODUCT, IF USED CORRECTLY.

Great Idea Very Bad Quality
My daughter loves it, but after only a few uses it leaked, located that leak and it lasted only a week, until the next leak. I am very disapointed, it should have lasted longer than a couple of months.

Great for Barbie enthusiasts!!!!
I bought this inflatable bed for my 3 year old and she LOVES it. It is very easy to inflate and it's perfect for sleeping over at grandma and grandpa's house. It is very comfortable and includes a soft blanket that she zips up into and an attached pillow as well. It's a must have when we travel and folds up into a pretty pink carrying bag all set to go!! I would recommend this product highly. ... Read more

Beep Beep Vaarrrrommmm rat-tat-tat-tat
Those are the noises my nephew, with some help from his father, was making with this kit after just a few minutes. We gave it to him for his 7th birthday and, though a bit young to go it alone at first, he is learning a lot and it is a great activity for him to enjoy with his parents, grandparents, etc.
It's a great toy AND educational tool.
He is at a stage where he wants to really figure out how things work and LOVES the kit and the oportunities for experimenting it offers.
While I was driving home from his birthday party he called my cell phone to let me listen as he talked into it and his voice came out on the radio.
It's a hit.

Excellent Introduction to Electronics
We purchased this for our daughter (8 yrs) and she loves it. It does a good job of explaining electronic concepts and allows for varying levels of experience to enjoy the projects. Everything you'll need is included and the experiments are flexible, progressive and "really cool".

5-0 out of 5 stars The right toys can make all the difference
Experimenter's kits are something of a dying breed. Electronics & hobbyists shops used to be almost everywhere it seemed, and carried educational kits like these. God, all the fun we had as kids playing with stuff like this. Every child should be exposed to these toys at as early of an age as possible imho. Helping a child get a head start on life, and sparking his or her imagination/desire to learn, is always a good thing. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars My son loves this toy!
My son received this toy for his 3rd birthday and he loves it! He carried it around with him all day and even brought it to bed with him that night. The songs are great but I do wish they sang the words to the popular kids songs. Although I don't find it especially educational, it's a great toy for a child who loves to listen and sing along to music.

Great fun for the next American Idol
Great fun for the little entertainer. I would recommend removing the microphone (long cord) if your child is under 3 years old.

It's ok
I thought this would be a cool toy but my kids don't seem to think so. It has been sitting in the toy room ever since we got it and very rarely is it touched. We don't even recognize most of the song on there. NOT a must have

We really like it.
My son is nowhere near the recommended age for this toy, but at 15 months he loves it anyway. I got it because it was on sale and set it on his toy shelf. He points to it and demands me to bring it to him. I take off the mic because the cord is a choking hazard. Other than that, the toy seems safe for him to play with. He loves pushing the buttons. He also likes watching the lights. I personally think this toy is more appropriate for a toddler than a four-year-old because I imagine a four-year-old would have moved on to toys like Leapster.

My gripe is that there are no lyrics to the songs that are played. They are very simple songs, like Pop Goes The Weasel, but I find myself going "All the cobbler's bench. A hum huma humahummm." because I can't quite remember the words. Also some of the songs are Leapfrog songs, for example "Upper case letter are big and tall" or something like that.

Basically, though the songs are cute. One that is in my head right now goes "Manny manny moo. Moo moo. Zanny zanny zoo. Zoo zoo." Simple, cute song.

3 year old loves it
Picked this up for my son's 3rd birthday. He has it in bed with him right now. Hasn't even needed the microphone for it yet (didn't want to worry about him strangling himself with cord in bed at this point). There are enough songs that he has only scratched the surface. He likes the animations (little red dots of light). Reinforces counting and the alphabet, introduces phonics songs. As he gets older, introducing the microphone and the singalong songs (Oh Susannah, I've been working on the railroad) will make the toy seem new again. Very happy with my choice based on the reviews ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Learning Tool
My daughter got the Quantum Pad for her 7th birthday and just loves it. I think if a child is a good reader all the books are good... even the math is inspiring her to move forward with it although she isn't at those levels yet. She spends 3 - 4 more hours a week on the Quantum than on the TV or her Game Boy but more time on the internet than all of them. It's a great addition to learning.

5-0 out of 5 stars I use it too!
This is a great educational toy! I can now tell you every county name and capital, just by looking at a blank map! My son is only 19 months so he is too young, but I will be teaching him soon!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Teacher's Dream
I have been a fifth grade teacher for 5 years and I bought this "laptop" for my neice as she calls it. I cannot imagine how any parent would buy a GameBoy instead of something like this. For about $60, I got the Quantum Pad which comes with a book and the 4th grade history book.

The book that comes with the Quantum Pad is amazing. My neice is a very bright 8 year old. She immediately became fascinated by the presidential pages. The multiplication pages are a must have for any kid who struggles with math.

I also purchased My Very First LeapPad book for my son. He is 3 and after a few minutes was able to identify all of the "GO" circles on the pages. After a few days with the book, he is primarily fascinated with a making the volume go up and down, and a few pictures, but I am sure he will catch on.

I strongly encourage parents to buy this very valuable teaching tool. It can be used as a resource book for information, a game book for entertainment, and a review of skills already taught.

Definitely worth 5 stars in all areas.

5-0 out of 5 stars Buy it! Buy it!!!!!!
This toy is SO fun!! I mean I'm not the smartest kid and this helped me way more than I needed it!!! Now in school I'm in the middle of a division math prob, and the forth grade math is really helping me out!!! Well thats all i can say, btu I bet I'll write a reivew about other Quantum Pad accessories!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for 2nd-5th graders
My son received the Quantum pad in December 2003. He is homeschooled and uses as reinforcement of what he's already learning. It is also great for traveling.
The Quantum pad is easy to use and my only gripe is that there aren't enough books for it.
It would be great to see more chapter books that are geared to kids with lower reading ability/high comprehension. Something like the Series of Unfortunate Events or Michigan Thrillers.
The only Quantum book I was disappointed with was the 3rd grade math book. The write in activities were annoying and not as much fun as the other material in the book.

My sons favorite Quantum books are: 4th grade science, the Inside Scoop (harry potter on the cover) and The Magic Treehouse: The Knight at Dawn. He also loves the 5th grade History page in the sample book.

We are looking forward to trying: The Human Body, Smart Guide to 5th Grade, Treasure Island, and 4th Grade History. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A 5yr Old New Game Boy User
My daughter is 5 and just got a Game Boy. This game is great, but only if know how to read. There are a lot of pop up screens that tell you what to do, but she can't read them. There is a lot of variety to the games. I find myself playing with it more than her, because she gets frustrated over needing me to read the screens.

2-0 out of 5 stars Come on, Disney!!!
I'm not going to tell you how I played this game. I will tell you this though: this title seriously lacks any solidity. It's basically a monotonous series of little games that are more chores than fun. As Cinderella, you clean spots all over the house and nothing more, and I can't even remember what Belle, Snow White, and Aurora do. Ariel swims around and is ever-so-vaguely remeniscent of The Little Mermaid for NES -- which is still a great game, by the way. DP is not a total loss though, which is why I gave it two stars instead of one. It has it's moments: Princess Jasmin provides minor thrills on her magic carpet. But Disney could do so much better.
There are no girl-gamers and boy-gamers! There are only gamers and non-gamers! You don't need sludge like this to entertain a little girl.

A Disney Classic
I'm an adult and I love video games. I chose Disney Princess because I'm an avid Disney fan. This game only took me a few hours to complete but was highly entertaining along the way. The single-player game is somewhat halting, with not a lot of room to move around (fixed paths to move in, you go where they tell you to go) in the game play but for any girls, ages reading level and up, it is fabulous. The colors are vivid and there are many levels with items you have to find while keeping your life up. I recommend this game for any Disney fan.

5-0 out of 5 stars Not for Young Girls unless...
This game is really fun; but is more for older girls. They must be able to read unless mom wants to have to help every minute. If your daughter can read and loves the Disney series; then it is highly recommended. One of the definate perks is that you can choose which princess you are as you play. Very cute game.

One of WHAM-O's longest, craziest Slip 'n' Slides, the Super Geyser lets kids cool down whilesliding along 22 feet of rugged vinyl into a large, inflatable splash pool. Tricked out with a colorful tikitheme, the Super G has a blowup slide bar near the top (to make sure kids slide out straight) and a wild tikitunnel with geyser jets that soak kids as they zip by. Once you've hooked up your hose, hundreds of waterjets keep the sliding surface slick. A set of safe, plastic stakes keep the slide from slipping. --Paul Hughes ... Read more

Fun
It was really fun the first summer, and it didn't break at all, except for when my neighbor jumped on the tunnel and popped it, and we used it alot and with all my friends from the neighborhood (like ten kids ranging from kindergarten to a seventh grader who is technically too old for it because she is 13)! Then this summer we got it and started playing on it. The seam where the splash pool connects to the slide ripped, so the water in the pool got all muddy, then I went down it and I scraped up my knee on where the hose goes from the gyser/pool to the little things that spray on the slide. It is really fun though when you are going so fast that you fly over the inflated part. A problem is that it is so thin the stakes rip it. Another problem with the thinness is that we wear shorts to school now and our knees are all red because it is so bumpy. Me my brother and my best friend learned to take turns when we had to wait in line for it. I think it should be reccomended for a higher age, because other wise next year my friend won't be able to do it. It lasted for one and half summers until we got a new one that wasn't from Wham-O and it said it was 20 feet but I think it lied because it was so smal compared to our old one, but it was a lot cheaper.

Not Fun
I got a different slip and slide. But they aren't much different. It was not fun jumping on your stomach. I was sore the day after I tried it. It was certainly not educational. What do you learn from it? And durable? It ripped after we used it a few times. After that you couldn't insert the hose to the slide. You had to hold the hose and wet the person as they slided. It was fun getting wet with the hose but the slide wasn't any fun. A few other things you should know- The part that is supported to be blowed up is very hard to do. And when is does get blown up sliding with a lot of force will send you right over the end. That is not fun! And if you slide with a nomal amount of force it isn't enough to get to the pool of water at the end. Also, if you are doing this on grass the water turns dirty from grass and mud. I don't recommend it!

This Slip 'N' Slide is a blast!!
I had so much fun on the Slip 'N' Slide Super Geyser today!! This toy is a blast!! First of all my brother(117 lbs.), my sister(45 lbs.), and I(90 lbs) all slid on it, and it didn't rip!! Even though the weight lemit is 110 lbs. it held up my brother. The durability is great...except if you accidentaly slide into one of the standing blow-ups, they fall over on you. It took me about 15-20 minutes to set up. It is lots of fun going through the tunnel!!! Also at the bottom there is like a botton that says "push" and when you slide over it water sprays out and soaks you!! My siblings and I loved it! I will be getting on it tom. with my friends!! THIS SLIP N SLIDE ROCKS!!!

A Fun but Unfortunate Time!
I had much fun with my sister on the slip n slide I got for my birthday, but it wasn't educational and it ripped the first time we used it, and we followed the instructions on how to use it. We slid on our stomachs, and we were sliding on flat ground, but two things deflated and there was a rip and a whole during tyhe first time we used the whamo slip n slide.

mom of 2
I, too, felt this was not a good buy for [the price]. It lasted ONE day and the seams began to leak. The side panels come off esily when bumped, which is nearly every time. I tried patching the seams with approved plastic pool adhesive and tape and it did not work well. The leaks caused a decrease in water pressure and negated the whole purpose of the toy. This was a waste of money in the long run. Not at all durable. My 8-y/o 43lb daughter slid to the end and the runner portion became detached from the siding. Basically ruining it. Not an acceptable product in my opinion. ... Read more

Today’s video games with all their bells and whistles had to begin somewhere, and that somewhere was your living room, in, say, 1982.Remember Asteroids, Missile Command, and Breakout? How about Centipede, Adventure and Gravitar? This TV Games Video System--just a "smart" joystick and nothing else--delivers 10 classic games in all. The joystick has the typical up-down-left-right movements, and single functions to select, start, and reset games. Front-and-center is a big, red fire button ("fire" being the only way to propel or kill things back then). 4-0 out of 5 stars Great nostalgia kick
I was a huge Atari fan back in the day, so I was very excited about this product when I saw it in stores. My wife took the hint and picked one up for me. What a great little product! I have had a great time getting into the old classics, and even my kids are enjoying it. ADVENTURE is especially good and is easily the game I play most. There is only one dark spot on this product - some of the games they chose for this joystick product were originally designed for the old paddle controller. Pong and Breakout just aren't the same.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money
I thought this would be a fun purchase, but it's not!

Like the reader before, the games don't even look like they did in the arcade, for example Centepede, when the game is about to boot up, the screen shows the original screen with mushrooms but when the game play starts the mushrooms turn into red blocks!

None of the games match the originals. Very dissapointing!

The Heroscape line of toys is like the all-star game of make believe. While other games might focus on a specific era of history, the age of chivalry, perhaps, or the Jurassic period, Heroscape puts everyone together on one enormous madcap battlefield. Vikings, World War II soldiers, ninjas, mutant monsters, samurais, dinosaurs, dragons, they’re all there, done up as tiny, highly detailed figure. too fun!
This is the greatest my kids love it! They have alot of energy and this does the trick!

Great Pad, depending on where you're at...
This is the 2nd pad ive got for my DDR Max 2 Ps2 game. The first one was the one konami makes that can be purchased in a bundle. This Dance pad revol. 2 pad is durable, doesnt slip (unless your on carpet) and is of good size. The downside is this is a thing pad, made of a plastic type material. So, it fit me in the beginning stages of playing, and still hasent broken.

However, i have gotten better with practice, and the arrows get faster as i go. This means your feet get moving faster. I have found that this pad kind of scrunches up when your moving to faster songs. So, if your a more advanced DDRer, then I would go for a pad with one of those foam insterts in there. Overall, decent pad, depending on what level your at.

Also, if you buy this pad, the box is kind of small. I would recomend flattening it out before use. Maybe heavy books or rocks on the corners overnight.

Middle Aged DDR fan
I just purchased 2 DPR2 pads from Naki International. This is a great pad for beginners (like myself and my wife) and it is rather inexpensive. Coupled with the DDRMax 2 game and a PS2 and you definatly can spark up family night and shed a few pounds in the process. (I lost 6 lbs in one week) The pads are not the best pads I've seen. They do tend to slide on the carpet little bit but for the price, it's an even trade. For you serious enthusists, I would recommend to spend the money to get the harder pads ($100 and up) or for $60 go to Home deport and modify them with particle board underneath. (...).

Dance Pad By:Ashley Seidel
I give this pad 4 stars because sometimes when you are doing a fast song it moves a little.Because you have to keep up so you don't mess up. Otherwise than that this pad is EXCELLENT!!!!!. You should get this pad because it is better than the rest. Becareful not to press too hard on the button's when you get the pad or it could probaly break (I'm not for sure and I don't want to find out).I would of gave this pad 5 stars. But I didn't because it moves a little when you dance fast.

Just to say that even though the age is 8+, me and my 15 yr old mates have a great tym on it, and its great 4 working out. Thas all. C yaz! O yea- it also duznt slide very much- which is a set back of most dance pads ... Read more

Still the best
Years before "fantasy baseball" became a fad, Strat-O-Matic was giving youngsters the opportunity to manage their favorite major league baseball players. Only those who are baseball fans can appreciate how much fun it is to play a tabletop dice game that accurately re-creates major leaguers' performance so well on so many levels.

The original version of Strat-O-Matic Baseball, which is still around as the game's "basic" version, is pretty simplistic. But beginning in 1972, when the "advanced" version was born, the company has continually added rules and made improvements that make the game more challenging and realistic. The game today also has a "super advanced" version, which re-creates just about every variable that means anything in a baseball game.

You can still play the basic game if you want. But those who grew up with the game, or left it and returned, will find the super-advanced version a fun challenge. Alas, the "fantasy baseball" mentality has robbed the game of some of its innocence; many SOM draft leagues and their general managers take this game a wee bit too seriously.

All teams come with 27 players plus perhaps one to three optional "mixed players" who didn't finish the season with the team. (All 30 major league teams and the mixed players come with the game sold here.) In the bad old days, teams came with only 20 players each, or 24, if one bought the optional "additional players." And if a key player was traded from his original team to the other league, he may not have gotten a card at all. Fortunately, that's no longer the case; in the 2003-season set, for example, Ugueth Urbina has two cards, one each for the Texas Rangers and Florida Marlins.

Gripes about the game are minor. The perforated player cards come on giant sheets that you have to break apart yourself, and this is a real chore. The six-sided dice are small and cheap, and the super-advanced fielding charts are on flimsy, decidedly nondurable paper. (Cardboard charts are available from Strat-O-Matic.) The game rules are long overdue for a new printing; the separate list of rule clarifications, corrections and additions is two pages long, mostly single-spaced.

Despite these complaints, the game is well worth the money, especially through Amazon.com, where the price is surprisingly a bit less than what the game company itself would charge for exactly the same thing. This is all the more reason for baseball fans of virtually any age to give SOM a try.

great game
i loved this game. Especially being a very true baseball fan i was glad to see something other than a video game capture the real spirit of baseball.
in this game you get to call the shots like a major league manager. Cant wait for 2004 to come out.

Best Baseball Game Ever
I've been playing this game since 1970 and have every team that has been issued since. You can't call yourself a true baseball fan without playing it. You get to be a big league manager, make out your lineups, choose your strategies: sacrifice, squeeze, hit and run, steal, position your infielders, hit the cutoff man, its all in there and more. Every player rated and simulated. Play any fantasy lineup you choose. Set up any matchup in history. Its all in there.

Only now I don't have to "score" the games to compile statistics. The game is played by a computer, three games a night, and all I do is pick the players in a draft and adjust the lineups and strategy. If you love baseball, playing Strat-o-matic is like having your baseball cards come to life.
