5-0 out of 5 stars What a fantastic experience!
Raising butterflies with the Butterfly Pavilion was an experience that my kids and I will never forget. I'm a single parent trying to raise two young kids on my own. I'm busy and don't have much time to take them outside to experience nature. I wanted to give them something that would nurture their respect of nature. Boy did I pick the right item. We mailed our free certificate and about 10 days later, we received our caterpillars. Within about 7 days, they changed into chrysalides. We waited about a week, then suddenly, the butterflies started hatching. In fact, we got to see 4 of them come out within about 30 minutes of each other. It was the most fantastic experience. We kept the butterflies inside the netted habitat for about 5 days, then released them outside. My little 4-year-old girl cried as she had to free her "butterfries", but understood why it was important to do so. We'll never forget this experience and highly recommend the Butterfly Pavilion to everyone.

THE best summer project!!!
The kids have never been so excited about what will happen next. We couldn't wait for the caterpillars to come in the mail...counting the days. They all (10) did what they were supposed to do: eating, growing, spinning web, hanging. One did not turn into a chrysalis, and one chrysalis did not hatch, but we had 8 butterflies. They are easy to care for. They even lay eggs and the eggs hatch into tiny caterpillers. We haven't past the 2nd set caterpillar stage yet, but are hoping...

FUN, EDUCATIONAL AND ENTERTAINING
I AM VERY HAPPY TO SAY THE LEAST. WE GOT THE CATERPILLARS A WEEK AFTER MAILING OUT THE CERTIFICATE. THEY TURNED INTO CHYSALIDES ABOUT 10 DAYS LATER AND IN A WEEK AND A HALF OUR 1ST BUTTERFLY "PENNY" EMERGED. MY 5 YR OLD WAS EXCITED AND ANXIOUS TO SEE HER OTHER BUTTERFLIES. BY THE NEXT DAY THEY WERE ALL OUT. MY 1 YR OLD GOES CRAZY SEEING THEM FLY. WE JUST REALEASED THEM TODAY AND ONE FLEW ON KAELA'S SHOULDER AND SHE WAS DELIGHTED THAT "PENNY" AS SHE SAYS KISSED HER GOODBYE. WE WERE SAD TO HAVE TO SAY GOODBYE BUT LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING THEM AROUND. WE HAD SUCH A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE THAT WE ARE ORDERING MORE CATERPILLARS. I MUST SAY THAT IT IS SUPER EDUCATIONAL. MY DAUGHTER LEARNED ALOT FROM THE STAGES THEY GO THROUGH TO THE AMOUNT OF EYES THEY HAVE, HOW LONG THEY LIVE,HOW THEY BREATHE...ETC. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE. ESPECIALLY SINCE NOT ONLY DO YOU EXPOSE YOUR KIDS TO NATURE BUT YOU CAN REUSE THE HABITAT OVER & OVER AGAIN. MY CHILDREN LOVED IT AND SO WILL YOURS.

Spendid
Spendid!! Simply, spendid!! Creative,educational-fun!!
(Coin a new word: Educational-fun!!!) As well as affordable
and very cleve!! Good show!!

I enjoyed this as much as my son!!
Both of us being 'nature buffs', my 6 year old son and I had a wonderful time with this.
We sent away for our catarpillars (every day he would say, 'have they come in yet'?) and when they arrived, put them in the habitat.

When I was a little girl, I caught a bunch of catarpillars, put them in a shoebox, with grass, leaves and whatever else I thought they might eat. I punched holes in the shoe box lid and then covered the box, and basically forgot about it until a few days or so, opened it and saw my catarpillars had made cocoons. Before long, they were moths and I remember how excited I was to see them!

With this habitat, you get to WATCH the whole process of metamorphosis and it is truly amazing AND educational!! When they finally transformed into butterflies, my son was so thrilled, altho a little saddened when we had to set them free.

I'm thinking about purchasing this again, one for my son and myself, and also one for his second grade teacher so his whole class can enjoy the experience.

If your child enjoys the wonders of natures and would love to witness the miracle of transformation of catarpillars into butterflies, this is DEFINATELY well worth the money! ... Read more

5 stars is yes!
this toy is one of the best my mom have ever bought me thanks!

Birthday Present
I got my trampoline for my 12th birthday and I was really excited. Though, as soon as I jumped on it, it wasn't bouncy at all! I am not very happy with this trampoline, and i don't reccomend that you buy it!

Don't wait....buy it!!
My granddaughter spent the first 8 years of her life without a trampoline because her parents were afraid she would "hurt herself" if she had one. I bought this one for her and my 4 year old grandson for several reasons...it was not high off the ground (thus taking away the fear of injury); they can move it around by themselves; it was recommended by a friend; and the price. The kids were thrilled and have used it daily. It's great exercise...the other children in the neighborhood love to play on it....it teaches them to take turns (there's not enough room on it for more than 3 small kids at a time). It's just a lot of fun for them.

Durability has been great, just the right size - not big and bulky.

Is it my tampoline or is it just THIS trampoline?
I bought this exact one maybe a year ago. About 2 months later it just collapses. Set up is not the onlt thing that is hard, actully trying to get a high jump is VERY difficult. This is a little kids toy but most little kids don't just like baby bounces do they? I would not recommend this trampoline to ANYBODY!

Best backyard toy ever!
We have a slightly sloped yard so I was hesitant about getting a trampoline. We tried it, and it works fine! My kids love it! Of course, like any other toy, they take it in spells but it still gets used alot after 6 months. I was also concerned at first about them falling off of it. I almost bought the enclosure to go with it but I decided to wait and see how high they jumped, etc. This trampoline is so small, they really can't get a lot of "air" so they don't do flips and other dangerous tricks. It's also very low to the ground. I am glad now that I didn't get the enclosure. We don't really need it. I would recommend this trampoline for younger kids. The weight limit is 120 lbs so it can't support larger kids. Also, since it is so small, we only let our two preschoolers jump together. When we have guests over, it's one at a time. I love it that my kids want to be outside so much. This is better money spent than on video games, in my opinion! ... Read more

The Bets Game Out There!
This is the best game ever. We bought this on a recent family trip and we were hooked. Every age range in our family played from grandkids to grandparents and everyone in between. It is fun, strategic and totally addicting. We played every night and could not put it down!

What a great game!
Our family loves to play games together so I am always looking for a new game. This game is our favorite currently. It goes pretty fast and everyone is on the same level. I have a 22, 13, and 11 year old so something that is equal to all of them is a must. They all love this one and usually head out the door with it to a friends house.

Awesome fun for all ages
Being a teen, I wasn't to psyched when my friends opened this game up to play. But, My mind was soon changed. This is a highly addictive strategy game. The cool thing is, theres no one strategy that will win it for you everytime. You constantly have to adjust your strategy to what your opponets are doing. Very fun, definite "Must Buy".

Blokus: fun for all ages
This game came out originally in Europe, so our friends discovered it a couple of years ago. It's the only strategy game I know where a 5-year-old can play against his father and (sometimes) win. Definitely fun, and different every time you play.

Blokus
The game of Blokus is highly addictive! We have had more fun with this game. Everyone we have played with just loves it.We are all so determined to win the next round that we play all night long!

For fun we have even tried to make a solid square or rectangle with the pieces, just laying them on the table. It can be done, with 1 space left over.Try it,you'll drive yourself crazy!

Editorial Review

Getting young children interested in toy trains is a wonderful way to teach as well as to have a lot of fun. By playing with train sets, young minds learn how to fit things together, how transportation works, how cities and communities are created, all the while enhancing their imagination through pretend play. This sizable and table kit features a smooth, easy to clean melamine surface on the top with convenient storage compartment underneath. The 83-piece train set sports a wide variety of train cars plus buses, police cars, dump trucks, and other vehicles to operate on the pieces of road, which are included in addition to the track. Filling stations, gates, buildings, bridges, and other modular components add to the magic. Since all the pieces fit together so handily, young train enthusiasts can spend hours designing their own sprawling networks and configurations. We liked how complete this set is and how handily it all stores when playtime is done. Compatible with Thomas the Tank Engine and Brio train sets. --Charlie Williams ... Read more

I must confess to a compete lack of objectivity when it comes to the Green Machine. It is hands-down the most fun toy I have ever tried. Basically a re-make of the original Green Machine of decades past, this one has the same lever controlled, rear-wheel steering that allows for crazy hairpin turns, and spectacular spin-outs. Only this time the frame is a bit more sturdy, and the front tire is made of sturdy rubber(the rear tires, alas, are still of old school hollow plastic construction and are destined to wear out far too soon).A few important caveats: though highly maneuverable, this is one set of wheels you will want kids to keep far, far from traffic; cool spinouts also mean uncool wipe-outs, so you should consider having your child wear the same safety gear normally used for rollerblading; and the sometimes iffy brakes need to be carefully adjusted before use.--David Stoesz ... I'm getting one!
My mom wanted one of these so bad when she was a kid. She is 130 lbs I think and even though I have a PW50 when she saw this in the store her eyes lit up..reliving her childhood she says. I get a lot of stuff she wanted...thank goodness she liked cool things as I am a boy. So I am sure when we go down island in two weeks there will be one in the cart and it will be so sweet even though I have to share it with my MOm. Bonding time I guess. Every kid should have a mom that loves cool toys.

For kids who want to experience the magic of growing their own garden, this kit is a fun andinventive experience. It contains everything you need to grow a small terrarium complete with an entirecommunity of tiny fantastical inhabitants. Paint the special planter with the paints (three primary colorsincluded), fill with soil, and then plant the enclosed beans and grass seeds. Then it's time to arrange the tinyfairy cottage, use the green pebbles to make a tiny path, and decorate the garden with the rocks, shells, and plastic animals that come with the kit. As the beans sprout and grow, you can cut and shape them sothey look like miniature trees--and for variety, add pepper, lemon, cantaloupe, and tomato seeds and watchjust what comes up. --John Longenbaugh ... Best toy in the world!
I think that this toy allows fun and education into children. It gives them a craft to play with when they are bored, and is fun for anyone to play with. I defenitely recommend this one of a kind "Wee Enchanted Garden Kit." My child Jessica who is 10, just loves crafts! I also teach in a school and bring crafts for them to do all the time! They seem to really enjoy it a bunch! this is totally a five star kit!

"Awsome Fun!"
It was so cool!I loved it!I could design it anyway I wanted to.Thanks!

MOTHER OF 6 YEAR OLD
MY DAUGHTER LOVES FAIRIES SO I HAD TO ORDER THIS. IN 3 DAYS WE HAD 6 INCHES OF GRASS AND A FEW BEAN SPROUT TREES!!!! SHE LOVES TAKING CARE OF HER FAIRIES!!!!

Plants grew TALL
Had a wonderful couple hours putting this together with my 5-year old niece. And, because I live across country from her, she promised she would call me when the plants started growing. Just a few days later, I got an excited phone message from her that the garden was growing and the "plants were SO TALL." I called her back and told her to get the lawnmower out, which she quickly relayed to her father. The only thing I would change about this kit would be to have more realistic and fun animals and maybe an elf to go with the house. The kit includes a plastic frog and mouse that aren't even near scaled to the size of the house. An elf, a few deer, and a squirrel might be a better combination.

Takes awhile, but is still fun!
I got this for myself, actually. I like playing with stuff like this, even though I am no longer a kid! I had fun painting the pot and planting the seeds. A few days later, the grass started to grow. Unfortunately I haven't seen much of the beans - but hopefully soon. This is a fun kit to play with, but doesn't actually give you many hours of enjoyment. Once you paint the kit and plant the seeds (which doesn't take THAT long) you basically just check on it every so often to water it and see the plants. One other good thing about this kit, they give you extra seeds and tell you how to make them sprout using paper towels so you can see the entire process - very interesting! Would recommend, as the price is not too bad - but there are plenty of more eduacational toys out there that will occupy more of your time. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Very Frustrating!
If you're new to buying the MVP Baseball franchise, I highly recommend buying the 2004 version. I found the hitting very frustrating in this year's version. I had the 2004 on the PRO setting in the game options, and I hit home runs left and right, the hitting was great. In the 2005 version, I went down to the ROOKIE setting, and I cannot hit a home run to save my life. I always end up playing "small ball". I don't even use the hit stick anymore, I hit into double play after double play. If you like "big ball", this game is not recommended. I do not recommend buying this game at all, buy the 2004 version, it's much better.

5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite diversion.
My only concern with the game is that the pitching and hitting don't seem to be of equal difficulty. At All-Star, I'm dominant (ERA around 1.50) with the Yankees' starting pitching despite losing Carl Pavano to injury for most of the season. However, my super-high-priced lineup bats about .240 (with way too many Ks) despite far too much batting practice. The net result is that most games are pitcher's duels, which is enjoyable for me- I'm frequently calling bunts, pinch runners, defensive substitutions, mound visits, pitchouts, and otherwise keeping Joe Torre very busy trying to squeeze out a one-run victory.

That said, the game comes with a bewildering array of adjustable parameters, and I'm slowly tweaking the game more towards realistic play for me.The major statistical anomalies I've noticed are that I rarely if ever walk a batter unintentionally (pitchers have exceptional control over all pitches), and pitchers fatigue very slowly and recover quickly- it's more than possible to run a three-man rotation even if they're pitching complete games roughly half the time.Outfielders are somewhat dopey in their positioning and tracking of gappers, so you see a lot of triples.

Baserunning is challenging- stolen bases require a combination of outthinking the AI, a weak catcher's arm, a fast runner, picking the right pitch to go on, and even altering your slide at the last instant based on where the throw is leading the covering infielder. It's only recently that I've broken the 50% mark there, but it's becoming a bigger part of my game.Taking extra bases on base hits is a bit easier- the computer is pretty conservative with its throws, and will often throw to second or third to halt baserunners rather than risking a hard throw to the plate.

The computer AI is a lot better than last year's, most notably in that it now tries to steal bases when prudent, and moves runners over well.As an example, with a runner on second and no outs, the computer goes well out of its way to hit to the right side of the field in order to move the runner over on a sac fly or groundout. It also makes sensible substitutions- pinch runners, hitters, and on defense.

Finally, all the little things are done well.Players have realistic motion, the announcers (usually) describe plays accurately, the parks look like their RL counterparts, and you can play at any level of detail, down to playing countless minor league games, recruiting future prospects, and (literally) adjusting the price of popcorn at your stadium.

5-0 out of 5 stars MVP Baseball 2005
This is a great game.It is the most realistic baseball game I've ever play and I only play sports games. The pitching meter is awesome. It's like in real baseball, when the pitcher throws a bad pitch, the hitter hits it over the fence. It's the same in this game.If you are early or late, you will throw a bad pitch. I also love that you can send out the manager to argue a call. You can choose the intensity of the argument and if it gets too intense, the manager gets kicked out the game. Also, when the batter gets hit by a pitch, you can make him charge the mound.I won't say any more because the other reviews say the rest.It is an awesome game.

4-0 out of 5 stars MVP Baseball 2005
MVP Baseball 2005 shows alot of improvment from last year's game. This year's owner mode has improved also. You can even create your own baseball field and manage your improvments. It has the upto date rosters in it. I just loved this game overall. It could be better and the price is right but ESPN 2k5 has the lower price and might make the difference between the two.

4-0 out of 5 stars Frustrating at times!
Not being much of a baseball fan anymore due to its holier than thou attitude and the spoiled-rich kid-players, I bought this because I figured it would be easier to play than a football game. (I know the rules, gameplay, etc.) So I got it. The graphics are really nice, however, gameplay leaves a lot to be desired. You could be pitching a one hitter through the 7th inning and suddenly find yourself losing 9 to 2 after 8. My hitters tend to hit a lot of "Attem Balls," while the computer hits homeruns and triples just when it will hurt you most. ... Read more

Good investment
I was skeptical because of the price, but my 2 1/2 year old and all of her same age friends spend a countless amount of time in here. They read, play with toys and I sometimes put a little table and chairs in for supervised snacks. I recommend this highly if you have the indoor room to spare. Folds and reshapes nicely.

Help!!!!!!!
My kids love this playhut. Not only do they use it to play "house," but we also take it camping with us. It has been very durable......but I CAN'T GET IT TO FOLD DOWN. I have tried the directions listed on this site, I have surfed all over the web(...). I still cannot get this thing to twist into 3 circles. I would say that this was still worth the money, and I would buy it again even if it doesn't fold down. (...)

Instructions on how to fold
This thing is the greatest. I bought this for my 18 month old girl. She absoultly loves it. Like everyone else said, it is quite large ~10' X ~5'. Although we have not used it outside yet, we will be. As for as folding it I wont lie, it took me almost 30 minutes to figure it out. Here's how I did it:

--Stand at the top of the house.
--Grab the Bottom of the house, one hand near (not at) each corner.
--Fold it down until shape resembles a "C".
--Continue until the top and the bottom almost touch each other.
--Now here the tricky part, slide your hands toward the middle and move the bottom metal rod inward toward the middle of the house.
--The sides will start to fold up and to the center.
--Once the the middle rod is in the center of the house.
--Grab the sides and fold them down one on top of the other.

Not for those with LOW IQ
Don't get me wrong. This place is huge... not for a small home. You need to have an entire room to dedicate this too. I actually bought it for my small yorkshire terrier dog to play in outside. But this is the kicker.... if you were one of those kids that bought a RUBIX CUBE, twisted it once and never got all the colors to match up again. Then this is EXACTLY like that. Pick something else. I am actually trying to return it right now, because it was just too big for us. However...I've been trying to twist and fold it back in the bag for 3 days now. After 30 minutes of trying ...I keep giving up. If I have to cut it in half to get in back in there I will. Basically my point is.... ONCE you set it up. Don't expect to ever take it down. It is fun though. Bigger than I ever imagined.

Great Fun
Our granddaughter loves this little house. We love it because you can put it away after she leaves. Biggest problem is that you can't get it back in the bag the same way it came out. I consider myself pretty intelligent but trying to fold this thing up is worse than a really bad day at work. But with all the hassle of folding it up I would still buy it again. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Game but Nothing Revolutionary
First off...there's almost no way you can compare Double Dash to N64 Version of Mariokart. Many people on my floor suddenly complained that N64 version is better for various reasons...probably because the graphics weren't real or that there was 160 tracks like they think the Cube can process...

I played both a lot...and since this is a Double Dash review...I'll tell my experience there. First, the concept of two riders per kart opens up many options, and yes it does make a pretty big difference gameplay wise UNLESS you're playing by yourself. Having 2 riders per kart allows 4 players to play Grand Prix, which is a very good thing...and I think throwing items at enemies is really fun as is power sliding...which is the responsibility of the rider riding shotgun. Also, the life span of this game can last a long time, esp. with multiplayer and the tough task of unlocking the 4 extra riders and so many karts also. Another aspect of the game I really liked was the fact that each riders have their own specials (or group persay). Mario, Luigi get fireballs that only they can use, Baby Mario/Baby Luigi gets the cheapest item in the game the Chain Chomp, and so on. Finally...they improved the vs. mode. The music stays on! Plus 4 people playing does not chug the system. Very smooth and competetive. Same for Battle, although arenas are smaller. This is one of those games where the more players...the better...which is why they have the LAN connection where you can play with up to 16 players. Sweet, eh?

There are some downfalls I can name though. First, the game can get frustrating in its difficulty. It almost took me a week to beat 150cc Special Cup because the computers were garbagely cheap...everytime I was in first...I'd be blown off by a blue shell, fall off a bridge, and start cursing out my Cube. Then the All Cups Tour is very time consuming also...which could be good in the fact that it expands the length of the game. I wished for a bit more tracks than 20. I mean all of them were enjoyable but they were a bit short. 30 would've been nice but it's not a big complaint. At least they cut down the length of Rainbow Road and made it REALLY REALLY challenging. Remember SNES? Yea...similar to that...ALMOST NO RAILINGS :-O.

To me, it was definitely worth the preorder. It's fun in its own ways...and to those comparing it to the 64...that's a mistake. Enjoy what's given here and adjust to it.

Highly Recommended.

A great new addition to this excellent series
The people at Nintendo have really outdone themselves this time. I have always been a big fan of the Mario Kart series, and each release has been better than the last. This is no exception. Mario Kart Double Dash includes all of the classic elements that made the Super NES and N64 versions so much fun--wacky cast of characters, cool weapons, intense battle mode, very enjoyable Grand Prix mode--and yet manages to improve in almost every aspect of the game.

The new Karts, which hold two people, are a great new feature. Not only does this allow two players to team up together, it also allows four people to play in Grand Prix mode, something that was not available on the N64. In addition, each character has a unique weapon, which adds variety to the game. With many characters to choose from, and a large assortment of unlockable karts, levels, and characters, Mario Kart Double Dash also has a greater potential for extended game play than any of its predecessors.

The graphics are stunning, and the commentary by the characters enjoyable. It is entertaining to work on various combinations of characters, and try to pick out a kart suited for them. The game is difficult, but not so difficult that you have to dedicate your life to playing it. As always, the battle mode contains unlimited possibilities in the way of kart mayhem. In short, this is an excellent game, worthwhile in every way. With this game, Nintendo continues its tradition of excellent, unique games, and provides yet one more reason why the GameCube is a great choice for a system.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good, but no Super Nintendo Mario Kart.
The Super Mario Kart of SNES days, despite the cartoonish nature of it, was perhaps the greatest racing game ever. In my time, it was a college dorm staple. The battles were just a medium for trash talking, the time trials were a measure of pure skill, and the races were a great combination of both. Very rarely does a game reward skill. When the N64 version came out, it came out with a collective, "ughh". While darn good looking, much of the skill was replaced by luck, and it just wasn't as fun.

Now the latest incantation is for the Gamecube. Sure, Nintendo is no longer the only major player in the video game market, but it still shines. This game still relies a lot on luck, and the power slide of yesteryears have been replaced by a useless unintuitive turn boost. The Super Nintendo version had different levels of characters, where the ultimate goal was to master the clunky but amazingly fast Bowser and Donkey Kong Jr. Now, even though there are more characters, the AI and lack of a power slide removes all motivation to switch from the lighter ones, reducing replayability. The battles are good though. I especially enjoy the bomb battles, but the lack of good levels severely limits the playability.

The worst part of the AI is what I like to call the "Colorado Rockies Pitchers" syndrome, where if you get hit once, you get hit over and over again. The second you get caught in the pack, it's over. It's very common to get hit once with a red shell, then before you start again, get hit by a start, a green shell, a red shell, and hit by lightning, throwing you into last place. It sucks.

With all its faults, it's still darn fun and is pretty easy to pass all the levels. Probably the best non-shooting multi-player game out there at this time.

Pros:
Good looking.
Still fun.

Cons:
Cheap AI.
The larger characters are not fun.
Needs more battle levels.
No power slide.

4-0 out of 5 stars Double Dash is fun!!
Mario Kart DD is a great game.

The gameplay and variety in it are pretty good but average...Cmon they could have done better with this game!
The graphics?...Great! So slick and smooth. Mario Kart Duble Dash is one GCN highest points of getting a gamecube.

You get a choice of a few classic Nintendo characters...I.E Mario characters. The level desighn is very good. I have to give Nintendo credit for some of there actions towards this game. Good job...If you like Double Dash then Get FZero GX...

Gamecubes DD is another Nintendo hit and not a miss.....Get this game..If you don't have it then what are you waiting for!

Graphics...5
Gameplay...4
Desighn...4/5
Overall 4/5..........

5-0 out of 5 stars The only game we play
We recently purchased a Game Cube, and out of all 8 games we own, Mario Kart Double Dash is the one we always play. Mix and match pairings between 16 characters and 3 different types of karts- light (good high speeds) medium (average speeds and acceleration) or heavy (slow acceleration, but top high speeds and can also knock other karts out of the way). Run over "blocks" to obtain items (banana peels, red missiles, etc.) to trip up your opponents. There are 3 different "cups" to win at either 50,100, or 150 CC's (the higher the number, the bigger and faster the engine). Winning 1st place in each cup earns you a new kart; win 1st place in several races (50-150) and you win a "Special Cup" of 4 more races. Win 1st place in the Special Cup and win "Mirror" races. If you're in the mood for competition, challenge your opponent to a "battle"- either popping ballons on each others karts, throw bombs, or play "Shine Thief", were the player last holding the sun wins. So many extras for winning games makes Mario Kart Double Dash worth your money. The whole family can, and does, enjoy it! For more info and tips go to www.mariokart.com. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars An all new adventure!
First, there was Paper Mario. It was a great game and it made people whine for a second Paper Mario. So, last year Nintendo came out with a similar game for the GBA- Mario and Luigi: The Superstar Saga. Now comes Paper Mario 2! In the game it will really emphasize how everything is made of paper. Mario will now be able to fold into different things to get past obstacles. I have seen one screenshot of Mario and his sidekick (in that picture it was a koopa) folding into a paper airplane to cross a large gap between his path. I did say sidekick too! You will love the hillarious new sidekicks that battle along Mario's side. Also, this game is supposed to be full of jokes and funny things. The only reason I gave it four out of five stars is because you now battle on a stage in front of an audience (the audience eventually grows based on your power) instead of out in the open.
I will buy this game right when it comes out!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best game ever!!
I have paper mario and that was the only best game they had now, paper mario 2 will be the best game ever because now the have new things you could do with the new game. Like now paper mario can transform into diferent things like a boat, airplane and a wheel!! And in the game you have new friends and new emenies await you!! If your waiting for a good game for once then wasting your money on cheap games get this game when it comes out!!!!! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great game!
[Obviously this game hasn't been released yet. This review is for the original NES game.]

After the wildly different Super Mario Bros. 2, Nintendo released a film in December of 1989 about an autistic boy who was a video game master. That film was called The Wizard. In the final scenes of the film he and two others played a new game - Super Mario Bros. 3. Come February of 1990 and the game hit stores. For many years it remained the best-selling game of all time, and with good reason. Read on to see why.

Graphics: 4/5
Very good graphics for an NES title. Not exactly revolutionary, but still excellent. These graphics will stick in your mind after your gameplay experience ends.

Play Control: 3.75/5
A little weird at first if you played the other two Mario games first. Here, for the first time, if you jumped on an enemy and held jump while you did it, you'd jump super high. Likewise, the new suits take some getting used to. However, with a little practice, you'll grow to love this scheme.

Challenge: 4.5/5
This one ain't easy. The game is divided into eight worlds: Grass, Desert, Water, Giant, Sky, Ice, Pipe, Dark. You can use special Warp Whistles to skip between areas, but that does little to reduce the amount of challenge. Some of the stages are maze like, others are just all-out challengers. At the end of every world, you battle one of seven Koopa Kids. These kids aren't easy to kill! You can skip between some individual levels, but not all of them. Of the Mario Trilogy on the NES, this is by far the hardest game.

Theme/fun: 4.5/5
If one NES game defined the world "excellency", it would be The Legend Of Zelda. This would come in a very close second. The new features this game introduced (overworld map, new suits, P-blocks, etc.) make it a stand-out title in the series, and with good reason.

Storyline: 1.75/5
What storyline? Obviously here, Nintendo's focus was gameplay, not a story.

Music/Sound: 2.75/5
The music and sound here are nothing special. If anything, as the NES Mario games were released, the sound and music gradually got worse while the actual gameplay got better.

Overall: 4/5
If you've got an NES, you shouldn't be without this game, period! If you've got an SNES, get Super Mario All-Stars just for this game. It's THAT good. This here is a game you BUY, not rent or borrow. I will stall you no longer - get this game.

4-0 out of 5 stars First-Rate Mario Brothers Action
Nintendo seems to have found a great cash cow in re-releasing old NES and Super Nintendo games for the Game Boy. I could be cynical about them making a killing on old products, but why complain when it means I can play a game as great as Super Mario Bros. 3 again?
Unlike some old games, where the appeal in the re-release depends on nostalgia, this is a fun game whether you've played it before or not. In some basic ways, it sticks to the formula of the original Super Mario Bros., so you have the comfort of the familiar, but there are lots of new twists here, too. The racoon suit, and the ability to fly it confers, is the most amazing. And there are lots of different challenges, with some easy levels and some quite difficult. The game is paced well, so that you don't finish it in an hour, but you aren't driven crazy by the difficulty, either.
Yes, it would have been nice to have access to the bonus levels without getting the ecard reader (which I don't have, so I can't comment on how those levels are). The only bonus you can access directly through the game is the original Mario Bros., which gets old fast. But just on the merits of the original game, transfered to the Game Boy Advanced with no loss of fun, this is a great game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best Release of SMB3
Super Mario Bros. 3 was the biggest video game of my generation. I was 9 when it came out. There was so much buzz to this game (partly due to the movie "The Wizard") I remember practically half my 4th grade class talked about it for show and tell. Granted, I played SMB3 into the ground back then to the point where I became bored to tears with it. Still, it's been 14 years, and what once was old, now is new.

So what's so cool about this release that it earns 4 stars and is actually worth the $30-$35? Well, it's portable, you can save anywhere, you can play with a friend with only one game boy because of the alternating nature of the 2-player game, you can save replays of the level's you've beaten, you can now store up to 4 rows of items as opposed to just 1, there's the obligatory 4 player link version of the original mario bros. which only requires one copy of the game. And then there's the amazing e-reader support that, in theory, gives the game an infinite number of new levels. It's really hard to knock this release even though it's a gross example of how the GBA's library is saturated with ports of games we've all played before (and then some).

I've still got a few slight gripes. Other than the e-reader feature, there's really nothing new. It's the same game it was 14 years ago. That's generally a good thing, but if you were like me and played it into floor then, the game's liable to wear out on you somewhat quickly. It would have been interesting if they had provided a few more modes of play to make the game new and challenging*. And I really would have liked the 2-player game to be linkable. But other than that, I 'spose you couldn't ask for much more really.

* I concede, there is a nice all clear mode that let's you pick any world and play any level you've beaten (all 90 of them!) if you beat the game. But...that's about it.

Awesome game!
I got this game a few days ago and it is awesome! It's challenging and it's fun!I think it's a great game for all ages!

4-0 out of 5 stars A great game but not exactly a classic.
I admit it Im one of the ones who think that Super Mario Bros 3 is the most overrated game of all time.Sure its fun but the graphics and controls were better in the sequel that is known as Super Mario World.I have to say though out of the 3 Mario games that were available on the original N.E.S. this is the best one with the original coming in a close second. This was also the first sign of Mario's evolution.I mean take the last level for example. The last levels in Mario 1 and 2 were pretty hard but not this hard. There is a fortress in the middle of it that is extremely comples. This is a game of skill and strategy.
Also I think that the graphics here are some of the best available on the Game Boy Advance. They arent as good as Metroid Zero Mission but they are excellent for a 2 dimensional Mario game.Super Mario World is a better showcase but this comes in a mean second. If you have a Game Boy Player hooked up to your Game Cube to play this game it will be like having a Super N.E.S. all over again. ... Great Toy!
This toy is great! We bought it for our daughters 3-year birthday and she absolutely loves it. It's a great outdoor toy, well worth the money.

My Son loves this toy!
My son recieved this toy for Christmas and plays with it all the time. I like how there is an adjustable feature where he can grow with it. My son's eye hand coordination has also improved so much since recieving this toy. I highly recommend this toy!!!!!

A time honored tradition
Any child will have fun with this. Both my son and daughter can't get enough. And since the ball is stationary and the stand is height adjustable, children can actually hit the ball, thus building their self-esteem and confidence. Such a modest price for loads of fun. And educational? I think so. The rate in child obesity is higher than it's ever been (thanks to all those video and computer games). This teaches children from early on that fitness doesn't have to be chore- it can be really fun!

geat toy!!!
My son absolutely loves this t-ball set. It is very durable and can be beat to death. He has improved greatly on his hand eye coordination. We bought this for him when he was 15 months old and he has been playing with it ever since. It is easily stored too. I definately recommend!

love it!!!!
our son is 18 months and loves his new t-ball set... he is able to put the ball on the tee and swing the bat. Great for children 18 month or older ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars mothers best friend
some kids have favorite toys which they can grow out of, get bored with etc.. The fun with this play set is, no matter how young or old your child is, if they like dinosaurs the fun is endless with this playset.. there is so many different varities of dino's to choose from that its hard to choose your favorite, also, the accessories add the imagination of real life dino atmosphere... They can learn about the different species, what they ate, who could fly, swim, who was bigger, faster.. etc... this is an awsome all round toy..

Great review from the child I bought it for!
I purchased this toy for a dinosaur loving little boy who lives in another state. I figured this was a good buy, to get him something different than the usual Wal-mart gift. (Hoping that I wasn't getting him something that he already had.)

He loved it! He loved the volcanoes.......that was way cool for him. And the fact that it could be packed up got rave reviews from the Mom.

If you've got a dinosaur lover, this is a great gift!

It ROCKS!!!!!
This playset is very reilistic and has lots of dinosaurs! It also has a reilistic mat that you can put your dinosaurs on! Set include my favorite dinosaur, T-rex!! Get this for your kiddos! The'll love it! :)

Great Dinosaurs!
My 4 year old son saw this same set at a neighbor's house and he didn't want to put them down! LITERALLY! (We had to carry him home screaming apologizing profusely for his behavior to everyone) Even days after, he wanted to go over and play with them. But the screaming episode afterward kept bugging me and didn't want to go through that again.

So I asked my neighbor where she got them and logged on to Amazon.com to find them. The local Toys R Us were sold out.
For less then $25- it's a great collection.
With so many dinosaurs in various sizes, trees, rocks, volcanos and a playmat in a great carrying case- I couldn't resist to get them.

We took them to the beach just last week and there were 3 other kids ranging in ages of 2 to 5 and we were amazed how quiet they were playing with them. Only problem was getting them back from them when it was time to come home. It was their turn to scream =)

The names of the dinosaurs are underneath them, so if Mom and Dad can't remember which is which, flip them over and with confidence call out the name. Therefore impressing the kids to the end of the earth. "Mom you are so smart" my son once told me. Hey, it felt good!
And soon you and the kids will be able to recognize their names without peeking.

Great gift for all ages and he continues to play with them months later. ahhh peace and quiet.

GREAT toy set! Great Price!
My 5 year old nephew LOVED this set, he is very into dinosaurs. Even his three year old sister liked to play with it too. The dinosaurs are large, and some have moving parts. This is a must for any child that loves dinosaurs! ... Read more
