    Editorial Review

Be it a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away or right here at home in the 21st century, Mr. Potato Head never fails to reinvent himself. For generations this spectacular spud has wowed us all with his ability to keep up with the times. Now he throws us all for a loop once again to reveal that even he has a Dark Side, taking up the role of the most menacing movie villains of all times: Darth Vader. Donning the trademark black helmet, mask and cape, our favorite tuber wields the infamous red lightsaber to become his own Darth Tater. Of course you’ll still find all the classic accessories like the googly eyes, red nose, and silly tongue we’ve come to love but now with an added twist of Star Wars. As always, all the pieces still fit away inside his body for easy storage.--Chip Quinn ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Together they shall rule as father and spud...
At 42 years of age, I never thought I would find myself seeking out a Mr. Potato Head. But one look at Darth Tater and I was gone. Darth Tater now has his place on my desk at a respected law firm, but rarely can someone enter my office without playing with him.He sits on my desk, glaring menacingly out the office door at all those who dare to pass by.Generally, once he is spotted perched on his corner of my desk, he is greeted with a smile and his light saber arm is raised up and down.OK, so one coworker called me a dork, but that's OK.She's young and has much to learn.....My advice?Get Darth Tater if you can!!

5-0 out of 5 stars REVENGE OF THE TATOR!
This is great toy...I always loved Mr. Potato Head & now Darth Tator is my new favorite toy!

Make sure you get your hands on this one while you still can, I know they still have them in stock at other sites.

Oh & one more thing in reference to the guy from Lodi who openly admitted he hates Star Wars...its a shame that he owns one of the Tators & I hope his Tator seeks his revenge & breaks!

5-0 out of 5 stars I taterly love this toy
my teacher brought this in to school and he isnt even a star wars fan. when i saw it and read the darth tater name i thought it was hilarious and got one myself and i hate starwars i just love darth tater tho

4-0 out of 5 stars Sure to be a mashing success with "Star Wars" fans...
Okay, I really wish I had come up with "Use the Forks, Luke" first, because no one is going to be able to top that one when it comes to the Mr. Potato Head Darth Tater. But I bet you cannot stop at just one when it comes to riffing on this idea (e.g., Luke and Leia are now Darth Tater Tots and the story takes place "in a grocers far, far away").Not since somebody decided to dress up Barbie in costumes from famous movies has a childhood icon benefited from a commercial tie in to a major motion picture. But not even Barbie as Eliza Doolittle from "My Fair Lady" comes close to the high level of Midi-Cuteians with this toy.

In addition to the "Potato" with it storage space in the back, Mr. Potato Head Darth Tater comes with helmet, mask, cape, feet, arms (right one holding a light saber), eyes, nose, mouth, tongue, and two ears. The mask makes the nose, mouth and tongue incompatible (the mouth and tongue are either/or choices to begin with).Consequently, you can experiment with other looks besides the obvious: lose the mask and cape, put a face together, and the result is pretty cute.Of course, everything works just as well on a real potato for those of you who want to go real Old School on this one.

If the words Mr. Potato Head Darth Tater does not sell you then the picture of this toy has got to seal the deal. There are obviously limited opportunities for companion Potato Heads in this series.Princess Leia's original cinnamon hair buns would work, as would Yoda (albiet with a green potato), but neither of those is ever going to be as cute as this one unless they use some sort of Jedi mind trick. That is because the farce is strong with this one...

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVE DARTH TATER!
This is the coolest thing ever!He sits on my desk and watches me with those glaring eyes.He sometimes uses the force to manipulate me.Someone please help me!You are my only hope! ... Read more

Fully equipped for the uber rescue mission, this souped-up spacecraft doubles as a jet and a Rescue Heroes command center. The top of the jet flips open to reveal an electronic screen and an operations deck, where Keytron, a robot, plugs into the control board to relay missions to the team. Included are two tethered backpacks which, as Rescue Heroes fans know, allow the action figures to communicate. What's more, the jet itself transforms into a giant robot, with a deployable space pod as the head and a tank-like tough-terrain vehicle down below. This is a sturdy, sizable toy that those who enjoy Rescue Heroes ought to love, and it contains plenty of moving parts. Also included is a C.D. Moon action figure in a red space suit. --Andy Boynton ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Star Wars Fun!!!!!!
My 3 year old loves this, he also has the millenium falcon, which he loves even more! They are more durable then you might expect, yes he does taske them apart, but they don't break and are able to be put back together!

4-0 out of 5 stars this toy is fun
i liked this toy because it has luke skywalker.i got it when i was 5.this toy makes lots of sounds from star wars.it can even mov e its laser guns.it comes with r2d2 and luke skywalker.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very nice toy for little hands
After getting the Millenium Falcon for her 8 yr old cousin, I saw that this was the favorite toy among the kids at the party. The one I got had 4 feet to the Falcon (Iguess a spare) and putting on all the stickers was definetly an adult job. This is an absolutely great gift for kids (boys or girls).Very durable and oh so cute.

I wish Hasbro would put out a Galactic Heroes Speeder Bike and Jungle Leia with Ewok (that would be soooo cute and to have a girl with a vehicle) and they also need a TIE Fighter with a Darth Vader!I am looking for an excuse to get the Falxon and X-Wing for my daughter, because mommy already has a big falcon and can't justify getting another!

My 4 yr old daughter loves Queen Amidala and kept asking for another one (I found 2 "skipper" sized golls on clearance). She LOVES Princess Leia and her husband Han Solo. She carries then everywhere and has them to parties with the Happy Family Barbie todlers. Now if I can oly find the Padme & Anakin set, she will be in heaven!I hope they come out with more girl jedi's in their two packs.Even though mommy loves Darth Vader, she can't get into the concept of liking a scary bad guy.I guess I'll keep those for when she's older.

With most action figures, not much in the way of educational value but she role plays with these two all the time. A+ to Hasbro and Star Wars for coming out with cute kid friendly action figures!

5-0 out of 5 stars What a great toy this is!!!
My boys got the x-wing fighter and the Millenium Falcon for christmas and LOVE them.My boys are 3 and 6.They couldn't quit playing with it.I love that it has so many characters that you can collect to go with them. The only thing that bugs me is that the window on the X-wing comes off easily. It is easy to replace, but annoying to a mother! ÜOverall this toy is the greatest!I love it and think the characters are darling.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome and Loads of Fun
My kids received this for Christmas.I couldn't wait for it to come out. Even though it wasn't due out until Spring of 2005, Santa delivered them right before Christmas to Toys R Us.My 4 and 6 year olds absolutely LOVE it.The sound effects and voices of Luke and Obi Won are wonderful and really gets them into role playing and recreating the battle scenes in Episode 4.
I highly recommend this toy for any parent who's little one is a Star Wars fan.I also highly recommend the Galactic Heroes Millenium Falcon. It is just as much fun.The boys have both and are hopeful that a Galactic Heroes Tie Fighter will be next on Hasbros agenda to produce! ... Read more

With the ever present alien menace threatening Earth, the Power Rangers SPD Delta Squad unites to become the Megazord! This set comes with five extremely durable individual vehicles that, once combined, form the Megazord. Each toy is made of tough plastic that will easily withstand even the worst of monster beatings. The Megazord itself is simple to construct and compact enough to handle easily. The instructions are clear so assembly is made easy. On top of that, with 2 AA batteries (not included) you’ll get the full effect of lights and stomping action sounds. --Chip Quinn ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The best DX Megazord ever
This DX Megazord rocks!! It includes cool sounds and light effect, and it also includes its weapons that are used in the show. And also...... surprisingly connects with my Ninja Storm zords(Dolphinzord and Lionzord's head) which is really cool!! And--ah man, I can't wait for the DX Cyclemax Megazord to come out in stores so I can combined my Delta Squad Megazord with it and creates the powerful OmegaMax Megazord!!

3-0 out of 5 stars All in all not a bad megazord
My son (4) and I (33) collect Power Rangers Zords. He has several from the first (MMPR) to now the SPD Delta Squad Megazord (newest available) and all in all it is very smooth, easy to transform, and attractive. The only draw backs are that it is a bit small for a megazord (only 10 inches tall or so), and the sword, gun and handcuffs are a bit delicate. The best thing about it is that all the accessories are able to be stowed on the zord itself. The gun and sword blade fit in the green truck (vehicle #2 - the left leg) and the sword handle is the spotlight rig on the yellow armored car. (vehicle #4 - left arm) If they had made it bigger it would be one of the best for design and looks.

4-0 out of 5 stars a little overpriced
My 8- and 7- year old daughters loved this thing. You could say they're tomboys, but what the hey...

2-0 out of 5 stars disapointing megazord
My son saved his money for quite a while for this toy and was very disapointed when we got it home. The box leads you to believe it is much bigger and does alot more things. The items that fit together are confusing to work with and the arm pieces will fit in the palm of your hand. Not what it is made out to be. There is always quite abit of extra packaging in childrens toys but this was overkill to make the toy seem larger. I do not reccomend it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it!
My kids (5 and 3) got this from japan. They absolutely love it!First it seems so difficult to do but later they love that they joined together. They also got 2 other figures (they have not sold in the us) to mix and match. This is almost like legos. It is amazing that they come up with it. It is also so durable. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Rescue Hero Vehicles
My son loves this RH toy! It holds lots of guys (a big plus for him) and was easy to assemble (a big plus for me)! I think it stays together much better then the RH airplanes, which I'm always having to put wings and windshields back on. This Ambulance and the Bi-Pod jet are the best of the Rescue Heroes vehicles set!

5-0 out of 5 stars We love it
We love this toy. We were so happy to finally see an ambulance. Otherwise, what does Matt Medic drive???We haven't had any problems with any parts staying on.My son is 3 and is thrilled with this addition to his huge Rescue Heroes collection.

3-0 out of 5 stars Rescue Heroes Ambulance
Not as cool a toy as we had hoped. We have most of the other large vehicles and this one snaps together easily, but for price, not that great an ambulance/rescue hero vehicle.Difficult for the rescue heroes to stay on the fold out sections in the back and the stretcher never stays inside the vehicle.Wench in front does not stay on well either.Pass on this one and purchase the mission select police car, jet or fire truck.Much better values for the money! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars My son loves these!
We bought these action figures for our 3-1/2 year old son two weeks ago, and since then he hasn't let them out of his sight! They will stand on their own with a little work, but depending on how old your child is, he or she may not care. These are especially good for young Scooby fans, as they have no small parts to lose and seem to be quite sturdy. Considering the amount of fun our son has gotten out of these, they are an excellent value for the price.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun with some problems
I got this set the other day and here is what i noticed. the box is very collector friendly it is square with a mystery machine graphic across it with a window in the center. There are no twist ties inside and everything can fit back in well. on the yellow cardboard behind the plastic holding the figures in there are bios of each character with last names addresses and ages (all but shaggy are 16, he's 17 and scooby's 7). The figures are well sculpted and niceyly articulated but there is one glaring problem, the feet on these figures are not made for standing. they are not flat on the bottom (except scooby's). While some figures can be balanced in a standing position with some effort, others it is almost impossible (ironically fred and daphne). So these look great in the package but in my opinion thats about it ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars rescue heros mission select
i just bought this toy for my friend and he love it. it is a nice toy and looks like it is made well, you have to use mission select figures though ,whitch are kind of hard to find since this is an old model toy, but i managed to locate a few whitch is enough to work with this toy and so other pieces that add on like the car and fire truck. i really like the fact that this toy will keep a child occupied for a couple of hours and tweaches them to use imagination.its a real fun toy for the child and his dad a 5 star for fisherprice and 5 stars for targets great price, and extreamly fast shipping. happy holidays.

5-0 out of 5 stars What's the fuss!! Great toy!!
I've read a lot of the reviews some negative. Parents whine about how long it took to put together, the crane, spotlight and Radar coming off. Let me point something out that explains why they did this. The reason why these parts come off easy is because kids can be rough with parts that move. Imagine if the spotlight was fixed on and a kid leaned on it or yanked it to get a figure off. It would snap right off and you wouldn't be able to get it back on. As far as the crane, well, put a figure on it and hold it with one hand and use the free hand to work the winch. Simple as that. Okay, before you say, its easy for us adults to expect this from kids, but you teach a kid how to do this and from then on they do it. My son was 3 when he got this toy and he's now 4.5 and never cries or complains about what I read these other reviewers mention.

The toy is great. Hook up your mission select figures to it and they talk about the mission. It's great. My son loves to have his characters "Talk about the mission" as he puts it. And my 1.5 year old comes and pushes the button to hear them talk. There are a lot of pieces, just take your time putting it together and play with your kids. It's a lot of fun!

5-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed in the durability of this toy.
I bought this for my nephew's 3rd birthday. He was so suprised when he saw it and he wouldn't stop playing with it. He was using the "cat condo" for the Heroe's to run their missions before he got the MACC. I know the cats are thankful for this gift. I think it's a great toy if you have a Rescue Hero fanatic in your house. However, like others have stated, the crane is not very sturdy, and that's my nephew's favorite part of the toy. Whenever he tries to use it the whole thing pops off of the top of the command center. I was having to hold it on while he played with it. Hopefully his grandpa can rig it so it works for him.

Luckily I got this on sale at Toys R Us for $29.99 so I'm not so put out by this designing flaw since grandpa will find a way to make it work. But I do feel for those who spent $69.99 on this toy. I would not recomment paying that kind of price for this type of quality.

All in all its a fun toy for the Rescue Hero's fan in your house but it does require a little aftermarket repair on your part for it to function properly.

5-0 out of 5 stars We love this toy
Bought this for our son for his 5th birthday. He loves it. It did take an hour or so to put together. But we did it the night before. We also bought the Mission Firetruck to go with it. Yes you do have to by the Mission Rescue Heroes so it will talk, but it was well worth it. Our eight year old daughter plays with him, she likes it also. We also have a one year old daughter and it is nice to have out, because the pieces are not to small for her. All in all we are pleased with the toy and would recommend it to others.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is awful
As a parent of a 4 yr old, I must say this is his and my least liked toy. It was a gift from his grandparents, so I didn't pay for it, but I personally would not buy it for even less than $5. It took forever to set up, is awkward to play with and the 'missions' are jumbled and uninspired. I wish I had kept the box, I would have returned it. ... Read more

A sturdy home away from home for Superman, Wonder Woman, and other superheroes, this sprawling command tower sports battle-alert bells, a mobile elevator, and a rooftop combat station armed with a missile launcher. A trip wire on one platform and a trap door in another ensnare unsuspecting enemies, while your favorite Justice League action figure runs the whole operation from the bridge. Ker-pow! A whopping 42 inches tall, with four levels, this Batcave is accessible through a secret door behind the entertainment center in Bruce Banner's swank penthouse. A transformation elevator converts Banner into the Caped Crusader; from there, he can slide down the Batpole to a bungee drop or a missile launcher that jets out from the cave. Most notable are the remote landing platforms, connected to the cave by cords and pulleys that stick easily to bedroom windows thanks to adhesive strips. Off another landing hangs a net for catching bad guys. It takes up a lot of space, but it's a fun, ingenious toy with lots of bells and whistles. --Andy Boynton ... Read more

    Disappointing when unmasked
I found this toy very disappointing. The packaging means that you can't see Leia's face before you buy, and despite other reviewers, I and a friend who collects Carrie Fisher stuff both felt that the face didn't look like her, AND wasn't particularly interesting. A bad combination.

If you want her as this disguised figure, the clunky permanent-glove hands won't bother you, but those of us who like to do some customizing prefer figures that we can make other outfits for, and the gloves are a problem. Like a Barbie, she comes with the hidden broad-arrow neck designed to break rather than be removable, which doesn't help.

As for the Solo in Carbonite: bleh. Vague abstract glows that you could pretend are him if you care enough, but when I sold a couple of these figures loose, people wouldn't take the Carbonite Solo display even as a gift.

So. If you just want her to look like she does in the box, the figure's probably fine. But unmasked, she's not even worth it at the sale price, to my taste.

I think this Leia is great. I am a big Star Wars fan and I have been looking for somthing like this for a while. I really like Leia's face. It accually looks like Carrie Fisher. The 12" Padme doll doesn't look anything like Natlie Portman. All and all I really enjoy this doll

    A Super Collector's Item
This is one of the best two (2) pack's that Hasbro has put out to date. I would strongly recomend it to all, collector's and
kid's as a play toy. The packaging has great art work depicting
Jabba's Throne Room, where Boussh "Leia" tride to free Han Solo.
I my self have two of them, one in the box for display and one for my kid's to play with they love it, my son and daughter. So
if you have a Star Wars fan in your life get this set for them you can't go wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    When Dealing With Hutts
When dealing with a Hutt, one needs to bring more to barter with besides the simple press of currency and a mind rich with intrigue. An even temper is something that works well in these cases sometimes, a few bargaining chips that the Hutt can't seem to live without in others, a vessel by which to make a hasty retreat can keep the odds a bit more on the bargainees side, and a good Bounty Hunter disguise is something that works if you need employment to go with that. Still, when your life and the life of the person you is on the line and you don't want to end up on the platter of a Rancor, its always good to bring a secret scent of something like, I don't know, portable bomb interaction to the table as well. Ask a certain princess because she can attest to that well.

Within the confines of this 12" Boushh figure captured from the realms The Return of the Jedi, there are many pros and cons that plead the figures case slightly but that make this something unworthy of purchase in others. This is a disturbing fact when you break them down, too, because Boushh would be nice to own in "its" greatness. Still, the reason I wouldn't suggest going on the quest of obtaining and the highpoints are as follows:
First, there is the problem I have with the packaging, a detail which I find myself absolutely hating and stunned by. The reason I say this is because its so simplistic, not capturing any scenes from the movie and showcasing a setting by which to refresh the mind at all. Perhaps this isn't something that many people care about and that I would forgive in most cases, but the utter lack of concern for a nice encasing merits my anger herein.

Second, on the figure itself, the Bouschh disguise looks pretty nice, with the helmet capturing the adornment element in a nice way and the outfit doing wonders in the "completing the image" department. The addition of a little handheld bundle of explosive love was also nice to have, as was the weapon that can be seen gracing the figures hands. Still, the gloves of the outfit were painted onto the arms instead of being loosely crafted editions and the helmet, when removed, reveals a beast I like to call Leia-Barbie that seems to scare my other Bounty Hunters. Yes, you can somewhat see Her Highness in the face looking out toward its consumer, but you can also see the look of many and many a Barbie doll captured in the vacancies of her grinning, almost mocking, expression. This is horrible in many a right and, to me, a nasty blackmark against the product because I have to leave the helmet on all the time unless my Rancor needs something to chew on.

Lastly, there's the "Carbonite Solo" that I wanted as an addition to my Boba Fett 12" figure, but that I found completely disappointing. Basically, its a piece of plastic encasing a slow lighting mechanism which makes a silhouette of Han glow slightly when pressed. It has to be dark in a room to get it to do so, though, and the image is a faint, almost unrecognizable thing. That's because not only is it this basic, but it is also a flat beast without any Han pressing outward, devoid of that horrified expression peaking out from what Jabba thought would make good wall art for his palace to entertain myself with.

If you must buy this then you must buy it, but be warned ahead of time that you might find some of these thing disappointing. I say this because I had looked forward to it for quite some time and found myself frowning, something that not even a little dance from my buddy, S. Crumb, could drown out, when I received this piece of coal as a gift. Not recommended.
