Editorial Review

Be it a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away or right here at home in the 21st century, Mr. Potato Head never fails to reinvent himself. For generations this spectacular spud has wowed us all with his ability to keep up with the times. Now he throws us all for a loop once again to reveal that even he has a Dark Side, taking up the role of the most menacing movie villains of all times: Darth Vader. Donning the trademark black helmet, mask and cape, our favorite tuber wields the infamous red lightsaber to become his own Darth Tater. Of course you’ll still find all the classic accessories like the googly eyes, red nose, and silly tongue we’ve come to love but now with an added twist of Star Wars. As always, all the pieces still fit away inside his body for easy storage.--Chip Quinn ... At 42 years of age, I never thought I would find myself seeking out a Mr. Potato Head. But one look at Darth Tater and I was gone. Darth Tater now has his place on my desk at a respected law firm, but rarely can someone enter my office without playing with him.He sits on my desk, glaring menacingly out the office door at all those who dare to pass by.Generally, once he is spotted perched on his corner of my desk, he is greeted with a smile and his light saber arm is raised up and down.OK, so one coworker called me a dork, but that's OK.She's young and has much to learn.....My advice?Get Darth Tater if you can!!

5-0 out of 5 stars REVENGE OF THE TATOR!
This is great toy...I always loved Mr. Potato Head & now Darth Tator is my new favorite toy!

Make sure you get your hands on this one while you still can, I know they still have them in stock at other sites.

Oh & one more thing in reference to the guy from Lodi who openly admitted he hates Star Wars...its a shame that he owns one of the Tators & I hope his Tator seeks his revenge & breaks!

5-0 out of 5 stars I taterly love this toy
my teacher brought this in to school and he isnt even a star wars fan. when i saw it and read the darth tater name i thought it was hilarious and got one myself and i hate starwars i just love darth tater tho

4-0 out of 5 stars Sure to be a mashing success with "Star Wars" fans...
Okay, I really wish I had come up with "Use the Forks, Luke" first, because no one is going to be able to top that one when it comes to the Mr. Potato Head Darth Tater. But I bet you cannot stop at just one when it comes to riffing on this idea (e.g., Luke and Leia are now Darth Tater Tots and the story takes place "in a grocers far, far away").Not since somebody decided to dress up Barbie in costumes from famous movies has a childhood icon benefited from a commercial tie in to a major motion picture. But not even Barbie as Eliza Doolittle from "My Fair Lady" comes close to the high level of Midi-Cuteians with this toy.

In addition to the "Potato" with it storage space in the back, Mr. Potato Head Darth Tater comes with helmet, mask, cape, feet, arms (right one holding a light saber), eyes, nose, mouth, tongue, and two ears. The mask makes the nose, mouth and tongue incompatible (the mouth and tongue are either/or choices to begin with).Consequently, you can experiment with other looks besides the obvious: lose the mask and cape, put a face together, and the result is pretty cute.Of course, everything works just as well on a real potato for those of you who want to go real Old School on this one.

If the words Mr. Potato Head Darth Tater does not sell you then the picture of this toy has got to seal the deal. There are obviously limited opportunities for companion Potato Heads in this series.Princess Leia's original cinnamon hair buns would work, as would Yoda (albiet with a green potato), but neither of those is ever going to be as cute as this one unless they use some sort of Jedi mind trick. That is because the farce is strong with this one...

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVE DARTH TATER!
This is the coolest thing ever!He sits on my desk and watches me with those glaring eyes.He sometimes uses the force to manipulate me.Someone please help me!You are my only hope! ... Read more

Radio Flyer’s Pathfinder is the SUV of little red wagons, sporting a rugged plastic body and offering tikes a luxurious amount of towing or riding space. The wagon’s convertible seats fold down for maximum storage capacity and then flip up to comfortably accommodate two children. Webbed seatbelts ensure that children don’t bounce out when riding over rough terrain. The Pathfinder’s interior also has four built-in drink holders to keep sippy cups and juice boxes secure during the ride. The extra-long handle has a large, loop grip that even kids can control and that folds under the wagon for more compact storage. Like all Radio Flyer wagons, this one has heavy axles to handle a lot of weight, heavy-duty casters for making tight turns without tipping, and durable rubber tires that provide a soft, quiet ride. The Pathfinder measures 39-1/4 inches long, 19 inches wide, and 16-1/2 inches tall. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars #1 Wagon
My parents bought this for my son last year for Christmas. We searched and searched for the right wagon for two toddlers. After receiving this one I would recommend no other. The heavy duty RUBBER wheels (not plastic)are great on any surface. We have a huge property and it's great to go to the garden, to the beach, and for walks. The seatbelts are a must with little ones and I don't know what I would do without them!!! This item is a must have for children and parents alike!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Wagon Out There
This wagon is great! My 22 month old and 8 month old love it! There are seat belts so we can go across busy roads without anyone escaping! The wheels roll beautifully and the cup holders are perfect. I would recommend this wagon to anyone looking at all the different ones out there! My older son can pull my younger son (with supervision of course) and feel like a big boy. The wagon is sturdy and smooth so there is no worry about the little one!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Wagon
We bought this wagon for my son for christmas last year and he was only 4 months old. Once he learned to sit well on his own we would take him for walks in it and when it was time to go inside he would cry. He absoulty loves it. Very easy to put together and wheels turn great. Easy to pull. Highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars The BEST Wagon!!
I just bought this for my grandson and it is AWESOME! Like one mom said the seatbelts are wonderful - I have not seen another wagon with seatbelts and being 11 months old and learning to walk he is always standing up! Now I don't have to keep turning around to check on him. Everything about this wagon is perfect - the handle is long enough to pull without having to bend over; the wheels make pulling SO easy (one review said they had problems with the wheels getting stuck- not me!) and we go off road adventuring too!! - neat cupholders for his bottle - cool storage compartment for all his neat little finds along the way - WE LOVE IT! You have to go get one - you will not be sorry! It is the best investment yet as far as toys are concerned. THANK YOU RADIO FLYER!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Wagon Ever!
I was searching for the perfect wagon for my daughter's 2nd Birthday. We decided to purchase this one. I love the fact that it has rubber wheels for a quiet ride. I also love the fact that the seats fold down to make a flat surface. That made it great for towing all of our gear into the zoo, such as our coolers, bags, etc., and then when my daughter fell alseep we layed a blanket on top and it was a perfect place for her to rest. While she enjoyed her ride in the wagon, we were able to strap her in with the seatbelts so she wouldn't try getting out while pulling the wagon. Great price for a great wagon! ... Read more

If you grew up with a Radio Flyer wagon but lost it along the way, here's your chance to own abrand new one. The body and sides are made of finished wood. Painted bright red, the stake sides simplylift out, leaving you with a natural-finish flatbed. Steel wheels with big, inflatable pneumatic tires rolleasily on pavement or rough terrain. At 33.5 inches, the extra-long handle makes turning easy. The wagonbed is 36 inches long, 15 inches wide, 9 inches high, and 21 inches from the ground to the top of thewagon. The durable-tread rubber tires are 10.5 inches in diameter and 3 inches wide. If you're lucky, yourchild might let you borrow this wonderful wagon. --Louise Carter ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very satisfied
This wagon was my second pick, but has ended up being my first choice! The wooden wagon bed stays cool even in the hot summer sun (unlike a metal bed), and the tall wooden sides keep "exploring" babies in their proper place. My son loves riding around in this wagon, and it has room enough for all of his favorite toys too. Walks are smooth and quiet (no rattling parts) and the large tires really make this wagon a pleasure to pull.

Great Wagon for Growing Families
We bought this wagon when we found out that we were expecting our third child. Since our oldest had just turned 2 when we found out about baby 3, we figured that we needed a way that we could safely transport three small children to and from the park, around the zoo, etc.

This wagon has been great. We've brought it to the zoo lots of times, and it fits right into the back of the minivan once you remove the siderails. The kids absolutely love to ride in it, and are looking forward to getting the cooler and the wagon trailer.

Wagon Canopy
... It looks like it cames from the horse and buggie era LOL but it covers the entire wagon definately worth it. I love this wagon but i am some what worried about the paint flaking off as i have read, but will make sure to cover the paint with car wax as told on the radio flyer site. We love this radio flyer! Its big you can fit everything in it!

Great #29 Wagon
I can't say enough good things about this wagon, but I also wanted comment on finding the correct wagon pad that will fit it. The pad sold through this site does not fit. You need to find the pad made specifically for Radio Flyer model #29, which I easily located through other online merchants. It is worth the effort to get the pad as it seems to make the ride much more comfortable and makes the wagon a good napping locale too.

GREAT GREAT GREAT
My daughter just turned 1. She got this as a present and loves it. It is a smooth ride on all types of terrain. We go to the park, the beach and around the block. There is plenty of room for all the extra stuff you want to take along. There is even enough room for a friend and their stuff too. I would recommend this wagon over the steel one to anyone. It is a quiet ride and there is no chance of rust since it is made of wood. ... Read more

The Aquadoodle isn't a pool or tub toy, but without water it's no fun at all. It's just a drawing mat after all, but kids will like the novelty of its disappearing colors. The 81 by 53-inch drawing mat is large enough for several kids to doodle on at a time, using the included magic marker pens that do not transfer color to other surfaces (to our knowledge …). Color from the pens appears when water touches the mat; it then fades out without a trace in 60 seconds or so. That's it: no ink, no paint, and no mess.Diane Beall ... Read more

I bought this today at target for my 2 year old daughter. We absolutly love it! She can doodle and draw to her hearts content and never run out of paper.....or be told to be careful to not color on the table. It is just water.....no mess what so ever! The drawings took about 2 minutes to completly disappear. What a great invention! Highly recommend!

5-0 out of 5 stars What a great idea!
I recently bought an Aqua Doodle for my 2 year old nephew, and it was a huge hit! He was immediately drawn to the mat, and understood how to use the pens right away. The best part was that his 3 year old cousin was able to sit with him and they both had a blast. This is a great toy, because there is absolutely no mess.

5-0 out of 5 stars I would NOT recommend this toy
I am a frequent buyer/reviewer for toys online and I am generally quite happy with them. This toy has a great concept, but I really wasn't thrilled with it. As the other reviewers have stated, it is a great toy...that is, until it's all wet. I found that the manufacturer SAYS, "image disappears in approx. 20 seconds.". This is where they are wrong. My kids LOVED playing with it, until they ran out of room to write stuff. It took so long to dry to become clear again, that I had to bring it in and put my hairdryer to it for an additional FIVE minute to dry it in order to continue using it. And this toy wasn't even drenched, just regular use. The idea of this toy is great, but has a big inconvenience. Maybe when it's a hot day it'll be better....I hope! I bought two, one for my daughter and one for my niece. I'm returning the unopened one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Happy Mom
This toy is awesome....Hats off to SpinMaster....I saw this toy online a month ago and went to Toys-R-Us to purchase it and they did not carry it yet...I was just there today and was so happy to see it on the shelf....My kids just opened it and they love it....They are 4 and 19 months old and this is something that they can play together and enjoy....My 4 year old loves to trace the alphabet...If anyone has preschool aged kids or younger this toy is a true winner!!!! Definitely worth the money....

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Special Toy - Highly recommend
This is a WONDERFUL activity toy for children of all ages - even adults! Several kids can play together on the large size mat and it is very neat, easy to store, very educational, provides hours of fun. The unique technology allows for children to draw with water so you never have to clean up or replace any pens etc. The images disappear after a few minutes so you always have a new writing area. Got Our Son Walking EARLY.
Love this.. got it as a gift and it was great. My son started pushing it around at about 8 months.. just a little at a time and by 10 1/2 months was walking on his own. He still loves this wagon, he puts his toys in it and then takes them out, and now he likes to climb into it (much to our dismay of course) Some of the reviewers said it wasn't great bc the wheels don't turn but a beginning walker doesn't need that really. This wagon is great bc it is heavy and really helps with balance, they will plow over anything in their way!

Sturdy little walker...
I wish we had gotten this little wagon/walker. We bought a plastic Fisher Price walker and my son obviously senses it's lack of mass. Our friends bring this Radio Flyer walker to the park and my son (11 months) pushes it around. Even though the wheels don't adjust, it's sturdy enough that he can put some weight on it without it flying out from under him. It's a winner.

High quality, but a little hard to maneuver
PROS:
- high-quality, sturdy construction
- wooden "sides" are removable, for more versatility
- great for learning walkers (wheels offer slight resistance)
- good for indoor or outdoor play
- little ones can sit in it, if one or two sides are removed
- easy to keep it moving in a straight line

CONS:
- a little hard to maneuver around turns (none of the wheels "turn" to the left or right) ... Read more

Love it!
This was a gift from my inlaws for my 1 1/2 year old son at Christmas. We had bought a similar sized plastic trike made by another company for Christmas. My son rode both and ended up riding the Radio Flyer almost exclusively. The other trike sat there for a few months. Occassionaly, my son would get on the plastic one, ride for a few seconds, and then get on the Radio Flyer. I finally put the plastic trike in the closet. Once, when he was too rough on the trike, the little red retaining hub popped off and he couldn't ride it. I couldn't find the hub so I retrieved the plastic trike from the closet for him to use and began looking for the missing piece. After a week, I found the piece and reattached it with a good whack with a mallet. When I showed the repaired bike to my son he went over to the plastic one (he is now 2), grabbed the handle bars, said "Here," and got on the Radio Flyer. He loves to ride it around the house and on the back porch and side walk. The wheels roll more easily over a variety of surfaces, the seat is fairly comfortable, and it is very light weight. We love this product! ... Read more

This durable little unit packs in a lot of functions, all of them eminently kid-friendly. Most basically, it’s a tape player that can be easily operated with big, colorful buttons, but it’s also a kind of karaoke machine, letting kids use the included microphone to sing along with the music, or sing a cappella. As if that wasn’t enough, there are multiple settings to warp your voice to sound like a monster, robot, bunny, or Martian. You might have to use your imagination to hear how some of the settings sound like what they’re supposed to (and what does a bunny sound like anyway?), but once you start experimenting with Voice Warp, it’s addictive fun even if you’re a big person. Don’t worry though, you can turn the filter off to hear your normal voice. --David Stoesz ... Read more

It's good for the kids to practice talking
I like the voice warper. It sounds great. I would recommend this product to anyone on the list.

Big Hit!!
This tape player takes a beating and keeps playing. My two year-old got it for Christmas and it has been a big hit. It is easy for little fingers to use and they love the "kareoke" effect of the microphone. She hasn't figured out the voice warping feature yet. I think this one will get years of use.

Great toy
My son got this for his 2nd birthday, he loves to play his tapes and sing a long. He loves the voice distortion option and has been playing with it regularly for the past year. No problems yet!

Durable and great to have
I gave this gift to my niece, who loves music, for her 3rd birthday. She has used more than I ever thought she would. She is really rough with it, but it seems to be lasting very well.

One thing I do for her is .. I buy cds, then I record them to tapes. We give her the tapes and let her mom have the cds; she can be as rough as she wants on the tapes and when they break ... we just record them again. Plus, her mom uses the cds in the car for trips.

My son is only a few months old, but I plan for this to be his first tape player.

fun for adults too!
My 2 year old son got this as a christmas gift and we all loved it! We had to break up several fist fights between people that wanted to play with it, not all children either. The one complaint is that it is hard to find tapes now, with the exception of Amazon. But I guess that isn't the tape players fault. Other than that it is too much fun. ... Read more

!!!!!!TOY OF THE YEAR FOR OUR HOUSE!!!!!!!
I had shopped for a wagon and done all my home on every single one out there. I really wanted one that would fit my three girls 2, 4, and 5. Discovery Wagon by Radio Flyer is great. It has the no-tilt steering, and the storage compartment that fits anything you need. The removable sides are great for my young girls for easy in and out. I am a very picky shopper but this wagon is everything and more. Fits in my van with no problem. Removable sides make it so easy to tuck it away. We use this wagon for zoos, walks to the park, carnivals, or just for the kids to play around with. I highly recomend this wagon as Radio Flyer has a great reputation.

Great Wagon!!!
This is a really great wagon. We shopped around quite a bit before buying and this was our favorite! It is much quieter than the ones with plastic wheels and is easy to steer both on pavement and the grass. I would highly recommend this one.

Most expensive Plastic I¿ve ever bought
I bought this after reading many good reviews by customers (last time I listen to them). It is a very attractive looking wagon, easy to put together. However I was quite disappointed by the construction. The moving parts are made of either by plastic to plastic or plastic to metal contacts. Therefore, these parts will wear out fast. It is a good wagon, not worth [the price]. (...)

What a bargain!
I purchased this wagon as a Christmas (2003)gift for my then 15 month old granddaughter. We filled it with toys and put it under the tree for her. It was the best thing I ever bought for her - worth ever penny. She has enjoyed it so much. Now that spring is here we have enjoyed our outdoor time as well. She loves being pulled in it or climbing in and out and pulling it herself. We live at the beach so I can see it is going to come in very handy this summer. I would HIGHLY recommend this product. I can already see that it will be used for years to come.

check the size dimensions first
One thing you should keep in mind before buying a wagon like this one is the dimensions. It's huge, basically as large as a whole bath tub.

It maybe isn't the best size for pulling around a baby under a year old, and of course it isn't small enough for a baby to push around him or herself after learning to walk. It really is meant for carting around toddlers only. ... Read more

Sally, Stevie, Stanley, Sophie, Stewie, and Sid are six colorful, lightweight bowling pins--each with their own personality--that talk to kids while they bowl. Taunts such as "C'mon!Roll the ball already!" get kids started, and phrases such as "Whew! That was close," keep them aiming for the pins. Bells, whistles, and cheers are heard if a spare or strike is bowled. The tan plastic base has six colored circles to hold the pins in place, but it is not required that colors match up for a game to begin. Silly 6 Pins only keeps score one frame (two balls) at a time, so keep a pad of paper nearby if you're playing as a family. Three AA batteries are required, but not included. --Pam Lauer ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Best Kids' Bowling Toy
As a mother of four, I found this toy great for my 2 1/2, 4- and 5-year-olds. It's extremely durable. The kids can set this one up by themselves. My 4-year-old hates playing by himself, but sets this one up for himself to play everyday. We've tried other bowling sets but the pins fall down before they let go of the ball. It can be set up on carpet. It helps my toddler with her colors. It can be played with alone or with others. All the kids laugh hysterically at the pins' talking and teasing. It's a winner!

Great game!
My son recieved this as a present for his 3rd birthday. He absolutely loves it! I also think it is really cute how the pins move and talk. My son has been playing with it non-stop since he got it.

2 year old proof
I bought this toy for my son this past christmas. It is the only remaining toy he has from his presents. He loves it. The only bad thing I could say about it is it needs more phrases. He loves it though, he lines them all up by the colors and then shakes his hiney with it as the pins shake. It really truly is a great toy.

Great toy
I bought this toy for my 2 1/2 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. She takes turns bowling with her little friends. It's a big hit at playgroup. She says "gutterball" whenever she misses the pins. She already knew her colors and numbers before getting this game but I think it reinforces her knowledge. It has also helps with her coordination. She used to roll the ball from a couple of feet away but now stands at the other end of the room. Overall, I think it's a great toy.

Great toy!
My three year old daughter loves this toy! She sets it up by herself (color coordinated) and has a blast trying to knock the silly pins over with the plastic bowling ball. The pins tease you by wiggling around and talking. They even snore when you take to long to knock them down! Great for counting, turn taking and color recognition as well as eye hand cooridination. Lots of fun for the tots and grown ups too ;-D ... Read more

The Pixter is like a personal digital assistant (PDA) for kids. But instead of storing boring appointments and phone numbers, they get to draw, do puzzles, and learn a little, too. The Pixter is about the size of a small book, and has a pretty solid weight to it. It's made out of brightly colored and durable plastic. The main action of this toy is drawing with an attached stylus. The Color Pixter offers much better graphics then the black and white version, which comes in handy with activities like Paint-by-Numbers and Connect-the-Dots. You can draw a picture free form, or you can use one of the starter backgrounds. There are tool buttons, like on a PDA, that give you access to fun stamps, special effects, and the eraser button. You can also save your creation in the Pixter's memory. There are some boppy tunes playing along with all this creative activity, but luckily for parents, there's also a jack for headphones and a volume adjuster. My daughter was 3 1/2 when she first played with her 10 year old sister's B&W Pixter, and she loved it. So I got her the color Pixter, and she plays with it every day, especially in the car. There are educational games available for it, as well as entertainment games. It also plays all the older black and white games for the older versions of Pixter.

Disappointed
We bought this for our 4 year old because he's not quite old enough for Game Boy. We have already had to return it twice due to it malfunctioning within a short period of time. The first one, the stylus didn't work and the second one the stylus worked on only half the screen after a couple of weeks. For as much money as we spent, I had great expectations. The kids, 4-9 years, enjoyed it while it worked, it just didn't hold up very long. I'd spend my money else where.

Take Care
My kids love this toy!! But do be careful because it is needs to be well taken care of. I would not reccommend this to any child who just throws things down where they may.

worth every penny
My 4 year old is one of those kids who can't play with anything for more than 5 minutes, except the Pixter. It is the best toy I've ever bought for her, and we've tried everything (thanks to used toys and bargains...). I bought her the Pixter recently because I was pregnant and too tired to keep her busy. It is well designed, challenging but not frustrating, is adaptable to her growth and needs, etc.

Pixter Easily Broken
I got my daughter the Pixter Color. Her little sister dropped it on my oak floor a few hours after we opened up the box. Now only half the screen works. I know it was dropped, but kids drop stuff. There must be a way to make these things more breakage-resistant. Spending 80 dollars on a toy that worked just one afternoon is bad enough. Listening to my daughter sob all evening was worse. ... Editorial Review

This combination tricycle/stroller offers an excellent solution for ambivalent preschoolers who want to pedal one moment and be pushed along the next. As with all Radio Flyer rides, the Voyager is built to last, with a durable steel frame and heavy-duty treaded tires. The trike’s unique feature is its steering and pedal lock that allows kids to either pedal or just sit back and let parents do all the work. For parents’ ease of use, the Voyager has a comfortable stroller-style push bar that adjusts to four different positions, and a snap-on snack tray that holds two drinks and a set of keys. A removable nylon backpack with a waterproof interior is attached to the stroller with velcro, and provides just enough space to carry diaper bag necessities. Kids will love the ringing bell and bucket on the back of trike. Parents will love the adjustable seat and safe turning radius that helps to prevents the trike from tipping. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Great Idea - Bad Design
I saw this in the store and it was exactly what I was looking for in a trike for my son. Brought it home, assembled it, and within a week the steering mecanism broke - basically my son wanted to steer one way and my wife wanted to go in a another, battle ensued and the wheel went in one direction and the handlebar went in another. Keep in mind a 2 1/2 year old stuggled and won against his mother. Tore it apart and found that a cheap plastic ring around on the frame connected it with the cables and the plastic ring got stripped in the tug-o-war. Only way to fix is to replace frame!! Manufacturer offered no assistance - a total loss for the purpose it was purchased for.

Not what we expected!
We bought this for our son when he was 18 months old! The Stroller option lasted all but 3 months and snapped! We are not even able to get any replacement or a way to fix it! To use as a trike it is not all that convenient either! The wheel has some kind of system that will let the pedals go freely and when my son tries to pedal backwards, nothing will happen. It is not easy to explain to a 2 and a half year old that if we wants to back up he needs to get off the bike and turn the bike around! I would not recommend it, it is expensive and does not hold what it seems to promise!

We like our trike
We bought this trike for my daughter for x-mas. She has been on it several times in our neighborhood and the local park. We haven't had the cable snap nor had any problems in steering it. My daughter is slowly getting the idea of pedaling but still needs help when steering. I would definitely recommend this trike to a parent with a toddler learning to ride.

Fun while it lasted (which wasn't long at all)
Really wish I could say we loved this tricycle. It has great features with the attached backpack, cupholder, and advertised steering capability; unfortunately, the steering cable snapped after only a few rides and now it's useless. Could we get a fix for the cable? Maybe. But, since we don't feel like 'fixing' an expensive trike every 6th ride, we returned it instead. We tried to save money by buying this instead of a Kettler. Instead we've learned an expensive lesson (which is: there's a reason the Kettler steering mechanism controls the back wheels, rather than a cable system which attempts to steer the front wheel). Bummer, since it had such potential to be so cool (and was a piece of junk instead).

Outstanding toy at a fair price
The wife and I purchased this trike for our 21 month old son and he adores it. The only problem I had is that the steering cable that controls the adult steering handle broke, rendering it uncapable of turning by the supervising adult. But to Radio Flyer's credit I called their customer service and told them what happened, they told me they were aware of the problem and proceeded to tell me that the issue with the cable has been re-engineered to avoid this from happening any further. They then told me they were sending out a replacement part free of charge, they shipped it first class and in less then a week I had the new part along with easy to follow instructions on how to replace it. Now the steering feels structually sound. Although the trike did break I was extremely pleased to see a company stand behind their product and offer replacements free of charge. Way to go Radio Flyer, now if I can only get our son to play with the other toys in the house I will feel like it was all money well spent.. ... Read more

Classroom Teacher
This product has provided hours of entertainment to my Kindergarteners and my first graders in the last two years. I can't believe how rough they can be with the toy and nothing breaks.

Really neat...even fun for mom
I bought this set for my son when he turned 4. He didn't attempt to play with it by himself until one day I got it out, sat on the floor with him and started building really neat stuff. When he saw what I had done and watched all the colors of gears turning round and round that was it, he loved it. This set has so many options; you can build 1,000 different things. We will have this set for a long time.

Start with the Under Sea Adventure set, this as add on!
We received several gears, gears, gears sets at the same time, and found that the plain set ie Super set although initially fun looses excitement without some add ons. If I were to buy just one set I would start with the Under the Sea adventure set first, then add with the fantasy play park. The Undersea set has parts that move the gears in interesting ways from the standard set. It also comes with regular gears for building, although in limited number so the super set still helps extend the play. The motorized monstors sounded more intteresting than it was, but the parts when added to the Undersea adventure set was great fun! The gears are an interesting way of learning how things work. If your child is mechanically minded any of these sets will provide a wonderful new constructin opportunity. If your child hasn't been inclined towards let's say lego's etc.. This toy may provide some interest initially in being able to create a design that moves. However, construction with this set is more complicated than legos and for the less mechanically inclined child will still need paren'ts help beyond the age minimum's recommended.

Love! Love! Love! Gears! Gears! Gears!
My kids love their Gears! Gears! Gears! My sister bought them this set for Christmas and they are still enjoying it. The gears seem very durable and the colors are vibrant and look great in their playroom. There are so many things they can make, and the gears are a nice change from all the legos.

Kids feel like they've made a real "machine"
This set of "gears" is really neat. There are lots of pieces, very nice bright colors, and countless configurations. I really like that the set didn't include patterns to follow or directions--it just told you how to make flat gears, upright, etc. My oldest child is 3--his main fascination right now is how everything moves together. He yells at me to come see the "machine" he has made. I think it will stay interesting to him for several years. ... Read more

When the sun beats down over the long haul, this jaunty, adjustable red polyester umbrellatransforms a little red wagon into a shady Conestoga. And it will serve you well should you be surprised byrain showers on your journey. You could also clamp it on a lawn chair, a cooler handle, a park railing, or abackpack strap. The neoprene-padded jaws of the sturdy plastic, 6.5-inch spring clamp move smoothly on180-degree hinges, so the umbrella gets a flat, slip-proof grip on objects that are from an eighth of an inchto 2 inches thick--even on wet wood or slick metal. Made especially to sit pretty on a classic Radio Flyerwagon, the versatile, heavy-duty clamp also accommodates non-planar surfaces, such as a wide-lippedwall. Unfasten the Velcro closure and slide open a taut 26.5-inch diameter circle of shade made of chunky,top-quality materials. A 4-inch-long, .375-inch-diameter metal-spiraled neck above the clamp allows you toadjust the shade to any angle in any direction. This beauty is made to last as long as a Radio Flyer wagon! The umbrella is 30.75 inches long, and comes with instructions. Ava Natov ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Didn't hold up....
I bought two of these umbrellas for the ATW wagon. They both broke at the plastic clip area after one time of using them. The clip is made of plastic and wasn't very durable for the wagon. It would make a better stroller umbrella.

Great Concept but Not Durable
The umbrella is a great idea and works well with the radio flyer wagon. The problem is ours broke after limited use. The umbrella did not bend easily in the coil area. We found that when people adjusted the umbrella they always bent it where the button is to put the umbrella up and down. In the end that is where the umbrella snapped in two. So just take your time when trying to bend the umbrella to block the sun!

A Taper's Delight
This little baby is perfect for concert tapers looking for an easy way to attach an umbrella to their stand. Forget about Duct and Gaffer's tape. Just clamp, and you're ready to record in the rain.

+T to all....

Don't buy for a plastic wagon
The clamp on this broke the FIRST time I attempted to put it on my Discovery
wagon. I assume the spring and clamp are not meant to open that wide.
It is a strong clamp & should be suited to a metal or wooden sided wagon.

Useful but very fragile!
I bought three of these umbrellas. 2 for my youngest daughters wagon because you need 2 to cover the whole wagon. Plus one for my oldest daughters wheelchair. They really are wonderful to have if you remember not to just grab and bend them from anywhere. My husband has snapped all three of them in half because he forgets that he has to be gentle. I have recently ordered another one just because it's impossible to find a clip on umbrella for a wheelchair for when it's raining. BUT... I will not be buying more for the wagon. Too much money to spend for something that breaks so quickly to only be used for shading sun! (...) ...

An expansion slot on top of the Pixter accepts ROM-based expansion cards that contain additional software and games. Requires 4 "AA" batteries. (Not included.) --Megan Sullivan ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Has entertained my child for 3 years!
We first bought our pixter in 2001 while taking our 4 year old on a three week trip to Europe. It entertained her the ENTIRE time. We even had people coming up to us to take pictures of her playing it because she was so quiet for such a young child! Of course, the next year, we upgraded to the 2.0 version (giving her old one to her cousin). She still plays with it constantly. We have a large variety of software (which I buy on sale every so often) that she keeps attached to the carrying case (I do recommend, it keeps everything in one place and is handy to carry everywhere) in a small mess bag I had. She plays it with or without the sound depending on where we are. I asked her if she wanted a gameboy or a pixter 2.0 in color for Christmas and she immediately said Pixter! It's much more imaginative and allows her to be creative. It also is great for us to play games while trying to pass time like when we are waiting at a doctor's office. We can draw, play tic-tac-toe, bingo, etc... and she doesn't make a fuss. She loves it so much, that she shows every kid she sees how it works and lets them play. It does wear the more she plays, but what doesn't? Her current one has lasted for over two years with almost daily use. All ours have lasted through tons of train, plane and automobile rides, many of them over 10 hours in length. I would definitely buy it for the 3-7 year range. I'm sure the older children may not get as much entertainment out of it as they would other systems. We'll be buying her the color version for Christmas this year!

Pixter-Color
Great toy better that the monochrome version. However, it lacks durability. My 5 year old son got one as a christmas present in 03'. We have had to exchanged it 3 times in 8 months. The primary problem been accuracy of the touch pad. Even after recaliburation the accuracy slightly improves if at all. There is no place for light as in the previous version. My son loves it when it works but gets very frustrated when it doesn't.

Broken on the second day....
We used to own the pixter but it quit working after just a few months (I was disappointed but assumed that it was just my child's overuse/rough handling) so we thought we would upgrade to the color pixter as they had since been released. We should have learned from our mistakes about the durability of this product. My daughter had it out of the box for not even 24 hours, it slipped out of her hands onto the floor, and the screen cracked and the product no longer works. This drop was only 12 inches to the floor. This is quite an expensive toy to not be able to withstand more. My children own gameboys and have dropped them numerous times and even left them in the car on a hot day, and they still work. In fact, my friend's child left his out in the rain and after drying it out, it continued to work! I am truly disappointed with the inability of the Pixter to stand up to a child's environment. I would think twice before buying this toy.

Not a satisfied customer!!!
I purchased a Color Pixter for my neice's 5th Birthday. She already owns and loves her Leapster so I figured she'd really enjoy the Pixter. Before I gave it to her I myself tried it out and honestly thought it was kind of neat but a bit limited. I know the Leapster talks to you and the Pixter doesn't. For over $80 this thing should talk. Anyway, I give it to her and she literally had it out of the box for 5 minutes and I look over and the screen has been scratched beyond belief!! I know for a fact she used nothing but the stylus on the screen. Obviously she pressed too hard which they do warn you about in the owner's manual but lets be reasonable! She did exactly what she usually does to the Leapster and the Pixter can't withstand anything but a very gentle touch which is not what you're going to get from 4 and 5 yr olds. This is not the quality that I expected. She's not a destructive child with her toys. She's had the Leapster since Christmas, has no problems with it and loves it. I had read the reviews that these Pixters don't seem to hold up very well but for heavens sake...I paid well over $100 for this thing along with another software cartridge to use with it and it's in her posession for literally 5 minutes and this is how it holds up?? Fischer Price states that this toy is for ages 4 or 5 and up but take heed!! Unless you're buying this unit for a child who's older, I would not recommend it. In fact, I don't recommend buying it at all. I do highly recomment buying a Leapster and then buying the "Draw and Learn" software cartridge for about $25. It's very nice, and the Leapster is extremely durable. If I'd known they even made such a cartridge for the Leapster, I wouldn't have even bought the Color Pixter in the first place. Anyway, I returned the merchandise and recieved a full refund so no harm done but just a warning to all. When they say the screens will scratch, they're not kidding and it doesn't take much to scratch them. The Leapsters the way to go....hands down.

A nother *GREAT* toy,
Hey ya people. I bought one of these things and I say it is the best toy ever! O.K. here is the detales about this toy: 1:There is tons of other feachers on this than the first one. So don't go out and buy the older one. (It will bored to death!) 2: It is color. (duh,I don't know why I put that.) And the old one is, well, black and white. Witch can sometimes stran your eyes. 3: There is better games included with the color. For instince, pick a seane and draw and put stamps and stuff. create words and put them as stamps. (witch is cool.) color the number. Draw by yourself. And conect the dots. wonce you conect the dots a mini show like-thingie will have to do some thing about the picture. 4: Now this is about the batteries. Well, I played it A LOT and I repeat A LOT and STILL HAVEN'T HAD TO CHANGE THE BATTERIES! And to tell you it takes four of those batteries. 5: Here is a kind of cool feature. It tures off when you don't play with it after a while. 6: It can take both black and white softwere and color softwere. So make sure you have the adapter. And wene you want a color softwere make shure you pick up a color one beacause I picked up a black and white one on accident. That's all about the stuff about it! About the learning, well what I think is educational is if you don't have paper at home you can use it whoa, I was talking about education, It teaches you to be a good artest. Durability, you know you wouldn't want to damage a PDA for kids. I don't know what will happen but DON'T TRY IT! It also makes a prefect gift for Chistmas! So go out and buy it! You will be satisfied and so will your kids. Oh goodie! I got more things about this toy! You can save one, I repeat ONE piture or something you can save in a file. Which is a drag beacause you want to save more than ONE. And I tried to set the volum because it was noisey and it got scrachey. Eventually, it didn't scratch no more. And if you look on the bottom, you can put headphones. Which to me is nice. And once you get your pixter color, just follow the dierections you ain't going to be confusied. There are SIMPLE! Later dudes and evreybody else! P.S. Hope this review helped you! A LOT! ... Read more

The ULTIMATE wagon
I can't begin to tell you how easy this wagon manuvers in the sand and on land. It fits great in the back of my SUV (which is smaller than most)so we can take it to the zoo. I LOVE the seatbelts that keep my busy toddler from climbing out when we are in motion. I searched and could not find any other wagon with seatbelts. I have a big 1 year old and with both he and a 4 year old friend there is plenty of leg room (I was surprised). This is the BEST choice by far. We tried other wagons before buying this one and I LOVE it!!!

An awesome red wagon
This is one awesome wagon! We looked at the Radio Flyer Pathfinder and the Navigator. The Pathfinder did not have as much legroom in the footwell, or any under-seat storage. My kids are 6 and 2 so legroom and some extra storage are essential. The wagon is easy to pull on grass and pavement. The turning radius is very good if you flip the handle straight up and twirl the wagon around in place. The no-tip feature is great since my 6 year old likes to pull the younger one around, sometimes pretty fast. The door works well, though it is not a child-proof latch. My 2 year old can open the door easily. The cupholders are a nice touch. They hold standard size water bottles, Avent bottles, juice boxes, soda cans, and regular sippy cups. Glass Snapple bottles and wide-bottom Gerber Fun Grips sippy cups don't fit though. Another poster said their Avent bottles don't fit. I wonder if the cupholders have been widened? Our wagon was purchased in May 2003 and hold the Avent bottles easily. The storage bin is big enough for diaper changing items and a few toys. The drain holes are a plus for cleaning or water play. The rubber wheels are quiet and give a smooth ride. The only downside is not having safety straps for the toddler. But he's learned that the wagon doesn't move until he's seated. The wagon fits easily in the back of our small SUV (Volvo XC90)... We get tons of "wow, that's a nice wagon. Where'd you get it?" comments. I highly recommend this red wagon. It's been perfect for our kids.

So pleased with this wagon, we bought one for our niece
This is the wagon you want for your child! It is perfect! It seats 2 kids comfortably, with cupholders and storage under their seat! It goes all over our neighborhood! Its easy to pull, my toddler likes to put things in it and take them out (100 times at least!) When it gets dirty, the garden hose and some dawn dish soap make it look new! It the winter, its great to store balls and toys in the garage. We were so happy with it, we bought it for our niece for her 1st birthday and she loves it too! Granted, it doesn't have the old fashioned look of the metal radio flyer, but its WAY more functional and will get way more use! This is the wagon you want!

Great Buy
The seating makes a more comfortable ride than a flat bed wagon and the cup holders are great. Rubber tires keep the ride quiet, the drain holes make clean up easy, and there is a small amount of storage under one seat.
The front wheels are not attached to the handle, instead they swivel freely. As I searched Radio Flyer's website I realized that this feature is for safety so the wagon doesn't tip, and the wagon can also turn more sharply. Just never grease the wheels... it will make them shake back and forth and it will be impossible to pull the wagon. We learned this the hard way and had to take the wagon apart, clean everything, and put it back together.
We love this wagon and feel that we made the best purchase for our needs.

This is the wagon to buy!
I am very pleased with this wagon. It has proved to be very durable and my kids have great fun playing with it. The rubber wheels are crucial to my satisfaction. They provide a smoother and remarkably quieter ride than plastic wheeled alternatives. I would like a more smooth, comfortable, and possibly rubberized handle. This is not so much of an issue for me however because I don't use the wagon for long walks. My kids love to be pulled around our yard and up and down small hills. The high seat backs provide good support for the later. The cup holders are a nice amenity as is the under seat storage bin. The wagon sprays clean easily with the garden hose, and the drainage holes work well. My kids enjoy sitting in the wagon and having buckets of water tossed on them during hot weather. ... Read more
