5-0 out of 5 stars Great for little hands
My daughter has more fun with them because they are easier to hold vs. the blocks.

5-0 out of 5 stars Gotta Have Them
My daughter (22months) loves her peek a blocks and when she seen these we needed them. She loves to roll the hamster around the house, and kisses him. Even my 2 month old son likes to look at these and tries to grab them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun little toys!
My daughter got the "Roll a rounds gumball machine" for a gift and I decided to get these to go with it.
They are very similar to the "Peek a blocks", clear shapes with little objects inside. But for us we like them better. They are easier to hold for chubby little hands and she really likes to roll them around the room. When they roll the objects inside move which is really fun. There is a cat, bunny, hamster, bird, dog and goldfish inside each one.
If your child likes the peek a blocks then I would definately reccomend these. Or if your child likes to roll things. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars toy to make a kid smile
I am a grandfather of 4 and my 2 year old grandson just loves this item. We got it for him for his birthday and he has not stopped playing with it. He could race the cars for hours and hours. This toy is worth it.

4-0 out of 5 stars The gold car always wins!
I bought this for my almost 4 year old and 17 month old daughters to play with together. They share it pretty well, but my 4 y.o. has figured out that the gold car ALWAYS nudges out the silver one and so, naturally, that's the car she always wants to play with. Luckily, you can use other cars (Matchbox clones) in there - as long as they're not too tall or long (the 1959 Lincoln is a little slow!) - so my toddler isn't always the LOSER. Like other people have commented, we have also experienced the sound going off when no one was around (not even the cat). I probably would take the batteries out if it went off more often but so far it's only happened a couple of times. If you're trying to keep it secret from the kids, though, note that the toy comes with batteries already installed, and the box DOES emit noise! (The UPS man was laughing when he gave it to me!)

The kids love it (even though Mommy doesn't!)!
This toy annoyed the heck out of me (I hear the noises it makes as the cars race down the speedway in my sleep!) but my kids love it.

World's Most Annoying Toy
I bought this for my son last Christmas. He enjoys it but the toy is about to meet Mr. Garbage. This toy has a feature that simulates the revving of a racecar engine. It's supposed to rev when you release the cars or when you pull the release in the opposite direction. However, at any given time (day or night) the revving of racecars can be heard. The least little bump to the toy, slightest breeze in the air or walking across the floor can set the thing off. I have to store this toy in our den downstairs or it will wake up the entire house at night. If Fisher Price hadn't designed it in such a sensitive manner, it would be a great toy; but it is EXTREMELY ANNOYING. Don't waste your money.

Toy is still in one piece
I am sure most of you can relate that toddler boys take everything apart and leave them in shambles around the house. Not this one. It comes in one piece and has stayed in one piece. The only complaint is the noise, but that can be remedied. The educational value, I suppose, is seeing how cars go down and seeing which is faster. My son has had it for a year and still plays with it from time to time. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Love this toy.......
We love this toy. We have three boys ages 2 1/2, 6 and 9. They all love playing with this toy. They have been wanting a castle for a while and when we came across the Little People Castle we decided to get it because all of the other Little People toys they own hold up really well. Same goes for this set. When we got the castle and saw that we could expand it with this set we knew we had to get. it. The whole set it really cute but they all love the little dragon the most. They also really like pulling the dragon around in the little cart hitched to the horse. It's great for kids of all ages. All three of our boys play with it and so does mommy and daddy.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a toy for Boys??
This is a great toy, as are all the little people sets. However, I am very offended by the review that this is a toy for boys. My main problem with little people sets in general is that they make the house girly, and that this toy, though not just for boys is now being marketed as a boys only toy?I know when I was a little girl I enjoyed playing Robin Hood and would have really enjoyed playing with something like this! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The best blocks for the littlest babies
My son would beam himself in the head with just about everything when he was younger. These were the only blocks I would consider and he loved them from day one (about four months old). He plays with them in the high chair after eating and they keep him entertained for quite a while. They are also great for teething. He is now ten months old and still loves these blocks. He plays more appropriately with harder blocks as well, but we still love these best.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderul Pooh Toy
I think I had as much fun playing with these blocks as my son did. They are very cute and so much fun to stack and knock over. I usually did the stacking. These kept us busy for hours. Wonderful blocks that are highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a great toy
My mother recently bought these blocks for my little brother that we are adopting. I was a little bothered by the smell at first to but it really doesn't matter. So what if they are banned in Dutch Toys'r'us stores because if they were making kids sick then they would ban them in the U.S. Don't not buy this toy because that review because they will definatlly keep your child busy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Almost a 5
My daughter recently cut three teeth, and she loves the soft blocks. She loves to knock them over when her daddy stacks them, too. The only flaw... they are a bit smelly. They remind me of my dog's chew toys a little bit.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Chewable!
My 6 month old daughter loves these blocks. They are soft, squeaky and seem to help satisfy her urge to chew things. They are a definite favorite and a great value for the money. ... Read more

Doodle Pro is not as challenging as its predecessor-sketcher, but it's just as intriguing for younger kids, who will ponder the mystery of the sketching surface just the same. Unlike with the trusty Etch-a-Sketch, kids who are just developing spatial and coordination skills don't have to worry about an increasingly complex, unbroken line of metallic dust, and there are no knobs to contend with. That's all too tricky: they just want to draw! To that end, there's a fat, easy-grip stylus with a magnetic tip, and four magnet stampers stored in a pull-out drawer. When the molded forms are pressed on the 10.5 by 7.5-inch doodling surface, shapes are created. And, instead of shaking (again, exertion), there's a sliding eraser for starting over instantly. Because there's no mess, and only a few loose pieces, it's also great for travel. Diane Beall ... Read more

Editorial Review

The Rescue Heroes series of toys by Fisher-Price offers a nonviolent and positive alternative to the numerous violent and menacing toys on the market. Parents love the emphasis on helping rather than hurting, while kids just love how cool-looking the Heroes and all their gear are. This watercraft is really two vehicles in one. Separately, it's a personal water cycle, a pontoon boat, and a pair of water skis. All three can also be combined to form a super-vehicle. We liked the versatility of this toy, the effectiveness of the spring-loaded buoys, and the fact that it requires no batteries. --John Moe ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My Son Loves This
I bought these for my son for a change of pace from the usual boats and fish.He couldn't be happier! Our Piglet doesn't fall over, in fact my son can push it across the tub like a speedboat. They also dry quickly which is great since the only way I can get my son out of the tub is to let him take them out with him.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not recommended
My daughter is 18 months and she could care less if they are in the tub.Pooh is really heavy and hard (dangerous) and Piglet doesn't float upright, he falls over.

3-0 out of 5 stars cute bath toy, BUT...
These bath buddies are so cute. I was a little conserned that pooh's shorts might be cloth and that they could be taken off (I have a 20 month old and I would get to put them on a hundred times), but they are part of pooh. Piglet is also cute and is floating in a tube that is also a water sqwirter; which my kids love, BUT piglet will NOT stay upright, he floats on his side. I am very disappointed in this. If I would have known that he wouldn't float correctly I would not have bought this toy because it makes my son very angery that piglet will not float upright. ... Read more

My Own Car!
My son started riding his go cart by himself at approximately 14 months old. It is super simple for toddlers because there are no pedals- a simple push of the button on the steering wheel will get them moving. The only con I have is that is it small..they will grow out of this quickly. It is hard for them to get in and out due to the steering wheel. I don't forsee any four year old being able to ride in this. The perfect age would be 14 months to 2 1/2 at the most. My son is almost two now - he still enjoys it.. but he will ride the bigger jeep power wheels more often than this one.

Not for above average sizes
We bought this for my son's first birthday and he fit in it perfectly. He rode around in the house ok, but you need a wide area to turn around so he rammed the walls often. He will be 2 in july and he can no longer fit. His feet hang over unless he bends his legs til they hit the steering wheel, and he doesn't have room to press the buttons, but if your child is average sized or smaller this is a great toy, unfortunatly we used it less than 1 year and now have to upgrade to something else.

My son loves it
We bought this for my son for Christmas...he was 18 months old then. He loves this toy. The only problem was the button he has to hold down to make it run. If he didn't keep his little finger on the button, it wouldn't go. His grandfather rigged up a circle of cardboard and duct taped it to the button so it would constantly be pushed down. Since it doesn't go that fast, we are able to walk with him so there is no worries. Now that he can keep it going, he loves it more.

Great First Power Wheels
We bought this for our son's first birthday and he still really enjoys it. It is low to the ground and easy to get in and out of. I appreciate the slow speed (I'm an ER nurse, I don't want to spend my day off at work!). It moves well in the house, on the driveway and across the grass. It has fun sound effects and was easy to learn how to operate. I think it was a reasonable price and I can't wait for the weather to warm up so we can go outside again (furniture has taken a beating).

Age Wrong, Great Cart
The manufacturers recommended age on the box (and in toysrus store) is 12-36 months 40lbs max. I don't know what possesed them to put 4 yrs+ on this site. My son is a year old, big for his age and fits perfectly. He hasn't learned to push the button yet (just got it) but thinks its great fun for mommy to bend over, push the button and walk with him. Its one button control, can't go over 2 miles an hour (brisk walk is 4 mph), hard to flip since its so low. Its a great beginners go cart! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Princess Sonya Lee & Prince Michael spin the day away!
This is an additional set for the Lil Kingdom. It includes a pink carriage, Princess Sonya Lee, Prince Michael and a horse that can either be connected to the carriage or the horse can be ridden all by itself. Also included is a dance area so that your Little People can dance and spin the morning away!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, imagination and play are so important for your child! Any Little People set or additional set can create hours of fun for both you and your child!

5-0 out of 5 stars We love to ride the horse
The reason we got this set vs the Maid Marrion set (that comes with two unicorns, one big & 1 little) is that you can ride the horse!A great addition to our Little People toys, my daughter nows asks us to get ther the casstle (but we already have the house, garden accessories, airport and farm accessories).

Since we have so many people already, two can ride the coach while one rides the horse and the prince and princess can dance.

Great fun for your horse/princess/Renn Faire/little people fan. ... Read more

Loved it for a few minutes until the megaphone didn't work!
My son received this toy as a birthday gift and we couldn't get it out of the box fast enough. He was so excited and couldn't wait to play with it. It didn't take us long to figure out that the megaphone only partially worked. We couldn't talk into it like we were supposed to. I changed the batteries hoping that would help. Then it didn't work at all! I put different batteries in, changed them around, everything. I finally unscrewed the thing and looked at the wires. I was surprised to see the wires being held together with string and masking tape! Low and behold, a wire was lose. I tried to fix it and ended up breaking it entirely...within 10 minutes of having the toy. My son is so disappointed that I'll probably end up having to go buy a whole new one just for the darn megaphone! I'm going to see if Fisher-Price will send me a replacement part, but I'm not counting on it.

Big Billy Is A Big Hit!!
I purchased this item for my six year old son who is a die hard Rescue Heroes enthusiast. He LOVES it! The megaphone was a lot of fun for him, and he likes the idea of having a larger action hero to play with. For me and my husband, it was very reminiscent of our old GI Joe dolls. Rescue Heroes are great toys with an equally good message. We own most of the line, and Fisher Price should be applauded for not only making a quality toy at a reasonable cost, but for constantly evolving the line so there are always new things to buy at holiday and birthday time!

Big Billy Was Big Hit
I got Big Billy Blazes for my nephew's 2nd birthday. It was his first Rescue Heroes figure, and he fell in love with it right away. He figured out how to use the megaphone before most of the adults in the room did. My nephew brought Billy to bed with him that night, and now Billy goes almost everywhere in the car with him. And he is always talking about being a firefighter when he gets big. Billy is very durable and he was a big hit with my nephew!! I would definitely recommend this toy, as well as the other Rescue Heroes figures. ... Read more

Dumpety is great for kids, but loud for parents
My son loves this toy, however it is loud. But don't let that be a deterant for you. It's really cute. A word of advice though...the boulders are small enough to be put into little one's mouth's and they look a bit like a Dunkin' Donut munchkin. So as a parent who's been there, keep an eye on those boulders!! But overall my son who's going to be 2 has enjoyed this toy since December. And it's the first one out of the toybox!

GET IT CHEAPER
I bought this for half the cost shown here, at Big Lots. Little People, like most Fisher-Price toys, are fun, fun, fun, and extremely durable for the younger players.

The Best!
We bought this as a last minute purchase for my son's first birthday. Because of the price, we just couldn't pass it up. We also bought the cement mixer at the same time. My son just loves them both! He cannot walk into his playroom without playing with the boulders and pushing the trucks. Everything has a "place to be put away", but these trucks sit on the playtable because of how often they are used. It took him about 2 weeks before he could figure out how to put the boulders where they belong, but as soon as he did, he began clapping. He looked so proud, and it was truly a great moment for us as parents to see his accomplishment! Now he is a pro! If you are looking for something cheap and durable, this is a great purchase for a little boy!

heaps of fun and a giggle on the side
I bought this from the hopital gift shop for my four year old son to paly with while confined to bed on an Intravenous drip on a recent stay in hospital. He didn't play with it much and I thought that I had made a bad purchasing decision, even though we have a large selection of the Little People toys at home that he and his two year old baby sister (and even his thirteen year old big sister, but she'd never admit it) play with almost daily.
However, when we got it (and him) home from hospital, the situation changed, and the "BRRRRUM, BRRRUMMM" (the "Dumpety" character that is the truck actually speaks the sound) and backing signal echo around our house what seems like all day. It could be an annoying sound, only it always amuses me to hear the truck SAY "BRUM" instead of hearing a sample of a real truck engine noise. The tipping sound is a bit more disturbing, with the "crash tinkle tinkle" at the end, it has tricked me a couple of times.
I am not overly enamored with the two boulders that come with the truck (and indeed with the other items in the construction set), they are a menace to stand on, and I hate hollow things that can be crushed and/or fill up with water and grow mould. I am also always finding them in odd places around the house, neither of my two little ones seem to believe that they should go with the truck, or indeed in the Little People toybox at all! I think that children are quite resourceful enough to find something to put into the tip-tray to dump out again( mine are anyway! It's currently filled with whole peanuts...), the boulders were an unneccessary addition. ... Read more
