The perfect dollhouse, if it would just work!!!
I bought this dollhouse for my daughter on her third christmas. I thought it was a really good dollhouse for the price, and was very excited about giving it to her. When we put it together, it was great. It was a big hit and everybody played with it. She played with it everyday for a month until it started to have problems. The wiring somehow got messed up so that if you hit the fireplace for instance, the phone would ring, and soforth. That was just the first problem. After that, the batteries would run down within a day because the switch wires were also messed up. You can't get the lights to turn off now. I don't feel like replacing the batteries everyday, or taking them out after every use, so I'm just getting rid of it. I didn't keep the box to return it, or otherwise I would be returning it for a refund. Kinda a waste in my book.

great dollhouse,but i'd look for a more sturdy one
this is a great dollhouse in the fisher price collection though it is not exactly what I would choose because it is kind of rickity. That is not what you want to be happening, you kids playing nicely together and then it just falls on top of them. I gave it 4 stars on it's durability, because thats what happened to my three year old. it will be returned tomorrow.

GREAT dollhouse
My daughter received this for her 3rd birthday and is still enjoying it almost every day and now she is 4 1/2. Her 2 1/2 year old sister loves it as well. It's always popular when her friends come over. It's great because it comes with some built in furniture, but has room to add more. Fun for the grandparents to add pieces to the collection. Big enough for both my girls to play side-by-side. The special affects are fun, but ours go crazy when the batteries go low so I just stopped replacing them and the girls haven't even noticed. I researched many, many dollhouses and this one fit all our wants and needs. Some dollhouses have rooms so small that once the furniture is in, little hands can't get the dolls in. All in all, a great purchase for both our daughters to enjoy for many more years.

Baby and potty
This toy, although at times messy, appeals greatly to my 31/2 year old. I suggest you give it a try.

My daughter loves this doll!
My daughter loves this doll. She loves to carry her around and play with her. She loves to "feed" the doll as well, but it is a little difficult for her to push the bottle far enough into her mouth.

Some of the pieces that come with the doll can be easily lost, and the top of the potty sometimes wants to come out, but those are the main drawbacks. Also, in order to keep her pottying, I have to keep filling her bottle, and in order to avoid a mess, I have to continue emptying the potty.

She is a very pretty doll, however, and my daughter loves to play with her... whether she's making the doll go potty (which she only does on her potty chair) or whether she's just carrying her around the house.

Great potty teaching tool
I purchased one of these dolls a few weeks ago for my twins. I'd read and bought into the "Potty Training for Dummies" method, and one of their ideas is to have a doll that wets, figuring that, if a kid can show a doll how to use the potty, then they can do it, too. I did a little research, and found that this doll was the best for the money.

My twins (who are boys, by the way), love this doll. She only wets in the potty, which I definitely appreciate, both as a teaching element and as a mom who has to clean up. She comes with a LOT of gear, specifically related to toilet training.

The bottle and sippy cup are both a little bit hard to fully insert into her mouth, which does make for a bit of a mess sometimes, but my boys seem to have figured out that they have to get the nipples pretty far in, and we're doing much better with that after a short time.

In fact, they loved it so much that I ended up buying a second one, because they both wanted to feed her all the time. They certainly don't seem to mind that she isn't soft - both dolls are getting lots of hugs and love from my kids.

My only gripe - why not a boy? Our dolls do tend to stay naked most of the time (easier for the potty, anyway) and without clothes, you can't really tell. However, especially as a potty training tool, it might be nice to have a little bit of anatomical correctness, (especially for boys) as well.

However, that's only my OWN gripe - from the point of view of two 2-year-olds in my house, this doll is fantastic.

Be prepared to get wet!
It's great that this doll can use a potty, I love that, but to give the doll water requires more pressure and accuracy than a 2 1/2 year old can provide. So when she gets a bottle, water winds up everywhere but in the doll's guts. And try telling a 2 1/2-year-old who wants to do it herself that you have to be the one to give the doll her bottle! And even I have a hard time feeding the doll without water leaking all over. It's also annoying that the bottles and sippy cup have rounded bottoms, so you can't put them down. But my daughter does love using the potty at the same time the doll does, it' s a great teaching tool.

My kids love this doll
My daughter just turned one year old, and I wanted to get a doll for her birthday. They don't have many choices for that age, but felt that this one looked pretty safe. I also got her the matching stroller. She immediately started pushing her doll around and plays with it often. My 2 year old son also loves the doll, and at first they fought over it. The stroller reviews mention that the stroller is not well made, but I really like it, and think it's sturdy enough. I would highly recommend this doll, mainly because you get alot for the price. ... at least it's fun
The toy is fun for my three year old; however, we have had a terrible time keeping track of Dora's "friends" which is the reason I rated durability rather low. When you place the "friend" in Dora's hand, there is no locking mechanism; so as my little girl is running around the house -as children do- with her Dora doll, Dora's "friends" are flying at my 4 month old's head. No injuries to report thus far, though. Also, we have already lost (and found) two of Dora's "friends". If I had one suggestion to make it would be to include Backpack with the doll, making Backpack fully functional so that the "friends" can live there when not in use. I have also been disappointed with Dora's phrases. Apparently, she is to say 30 interactive phrases and in the entire time my daughter has had her Dora doll, I've only heard a total of 8 phrases, which is my justification for rating Dora's educational value low as well.

Cute Toy
My 2 year old received this as a gift. Six months later she still plays with it frequently. She even calls many of the characters by the Spanish names. Although she hasn't quite gotten into the games, she still enjoys the song. This is a must for any Dora fan.

Great educational toy
This is a great educational toy. It is fun and easy to use for children. My daughter loves it. She received the toy for her first birthday and has been enjoying it. I'm so glad I purchased the toy for her.

Not very impressed
I bought this Dora the Explorer Doll for my 2 year old. Within the first week it was grinding and not recognizing which character was what. Not very durable!

Best Birthday Gift
My daughter got this for her first birthday and she loves it. She loves to feed the baby with the soft bottle and the carrier makes it easy for her to travel with baby. I totally disagree with the last comment posted about "Save your Money" the items are made small for small little hands, but they are not small enough for choking hazzards. We will be giving this as birthday gifts to other little girls within our family and friends circle.

Soft & sweet!
This will be a fun doll for my little one who will be a year old in a few weeks. It seems safe and soft, although it is a little smaller than I expected. I think my little girl will really enjoy it, although I'm not sure I would say the doll & accessories are a good value.

They call this doll my FIRST baby doll for a reason...
This doll is fantastic for VERY YOUNG children. I bought this for my twins who are just turning one. They are in love with their older sister's baby dolls, which they really shouldn't be playing with due to choking hazards. This doll is appropriately sized for a very small child, with embroidered eyes, mouth, etc. It is a stuffed doll, so no problem if your child sucks on it. Very soft, so nice for giving hugs. The small bottle and teddy bear are large enough that they do not pose choking hazards. Yes, the doll is hard for a child to dress, but the kids I think it is most appropriate for are not yet old enough to rip clothes off and dress it. The bed is also soft fabric, another bonus for the very young kid. I didn't know what to expect when I placed my order and was VERY pleased with the result. Perfect 1st birthday gift. Don't even THINK of giving this to an older (say 2 year old) child.

Save your money.
I bought this doll for my 2 year old. She loves anything baby-related so I thought this would be a nice addition to her toy collection. It's cute and soft, but really LITTLE. It comes with a bed/carrier, LITTLE teddy bear, LITTLE blankie (think washcloth), and a LITTLE stuffed bottle of milk. I'm aware that the dimensions of the doll are listed in it's description, but I rarely whip out my tape measure to see how big it really might be, I just assumed it would be a bit bigger. So, size might not matter for any reason except the following: such a LITTLE doll wears such LITTLE clothes that it is hard to dress and undress. My daughter is ok with ripping off the clothes, but even I have trouble putting them back on, and you could only imagine how much harder it is for the tiny fingers of a 2 year old. She gets very frustrated and screams for me to come and help her (of course, only to rip them off again, and so on!). She likes feeding and burping the doll, but thats basically it. Boots is in the house!
Our 3 year old daughter loves Boots. She talks to Boots and carries him around the house. We give it 5 stars for educational value because when she talks to Boots she acts out scenes from her Dora videos. This helps her alot with her speech skills and imagination. This is a very well made doll. We are also happy with it's size, it's just perfect for her. It's a great buy!

The Sweetest Baby doll
I bought this baby doll for my litle girl for Christmas and she will not let it out of her sight! It is very soft, very light weight, pretty and easy to clean. I am terrified of loosing it so I'm buying a few more as backups "just in case". In fact my hubby wants us to give these to all the new baby girls born to our friends and family, he likes it so much! Worth the money, it is a beautiful doll.

Love It!
My daughter - now 14 months - has two of these dolls. One at home and one for day care. She sleeps with them and loves them!
We got one as a "new baby" present and when she decided it was her favorite I bought a back-up. We've washed them numerous times and haven't had any problems. One of the great things about this doll is that she's so light... any small child can drag her around with no problem. Definately a great first doll for any little girl.

Pretty, except......
This is a lovely little doll. My only complaint is that her few strands of hair stick straight up. I don't know why this bothers me so much, but I've tried everything to get them to lay flat. Another thing to consider - this doll has no visible ears, nose, fingers, or toes. I didn't really think about this one way or another before I bought it, but my daughter is learning body parts, and she is very upset that the doll is missing some. It's kind of funny, but something to think about.

Beautiful first doll!!
My brother bought this doll (actually two) for my twin girls. The doll is really beautiful and very soft. I like the fact that the girls can chew on her and I don't have to worry about them hurting themselves on hard parts. She is smaller than most dolls, which is great for little girls. Mommy of 3 year old
I bought this almost a year ago for my daughter's third birthday. She loves to put her 'Hanna' down for her nap. (Her two year old brother does too.) It is not the kind of toy that entertains for more than a few minutes at a time, but it gets regular use. It is very cute. A little fragile, but as long as they are not standing in it, it should be fine. We have not had any trouble. She loves using the little pillow and blanket. A nice addition to a little girls room and bed time routine.

OK for the price
This is a very functional toy for a child to have in their collection. Though it does not provide hours of entertainment, this toy has become a part of my daughter's daily ritual. She gets her doll in the morning, puts it down for nap, etc. I am overjoyed to see my daughter play with a toy that does not need batteries, only imagination.

I was happy to see that the cradle came with a liner- so many of the more expensive cradles have accessories that must be purchased separately.

It is the not the sturdiest toy, as it is maily cardboard, but if you child is not too rough, it should be OK.

mom of 2yr old "little mommy"
i purchased this cradle and returned it a few days after. the box said "wicker" and the "wicker" was made of paper. the bottom of the cradle is cardboard. i thought about spraypainting it with an enamal paint for durability (because it is so cute) but decided to keep looking for a pretty, heirloom quality, toddler proof doll bed. such a shame, because this cradle is very pretty to look at, but kids under five can be so rough with toys without trying to be.

Lots of potential but still a disappointment
Once again, a toy fails to "deliver" the promised fun and ease of use.The shower actually works, which was my main concern.I was pleasantly surprised that water did come through the nozzle.However, it is awkward for younger children and the tub is too short and the fish comes off far too easily.While the doll is well-made, it doesn't sit too well in the inflatable turtle.This is frustrating.Also, it would be nice if it had hair that could be washed,It's hard to lather a bald, plastic head.I'm keeping the toy because it's "somewhat fun" but it certainly doesn't deliver as promised or expected.

Fun Little Bath Doll
I bought this for my 3 year old daughter who loves baby dolls. Overall, she enjoys playing with the doll in the tub, washing it, and floating the doll in the little turtle float ring. But in my opinion, the shower feature on this toy is useless. You have to fill the fish toy with water, then connect it to the end of the water tube and squeeze, only to have about 2 tablespoons of water trickle out of the shower. You have to repeat this for each little trickle of water. It would be a lot better if the tube were connected to some kind of squeeze pump feature on the floaty toy (which I've seen before) which would make the shower easier to use and more fun. The doll itself is very durable. The body is filled with tiny plastic beads encased in a fabric lining, which makes for quick drying of the doll, and no mildew (which can be hard to avoid for bath toys). No water gets into the head as well which is also nice (and makes the doll float), so it is definitely well constructed, and seems as if it will be long lasting. Can't do without!
Affectionately referred to as "baby" by my two-year old daughter, this is her security item. I am ordering two more for times when the one is in the wash or left at granny and papa's house. It is very durable and fares well in the washer and dryer. The softest and cuddliest baby we have found yet.

Baby Girl Loves it
From 6-months to 15-months, my daughter loves this doll so much she doesn't want to go to sleep without it. It comes with us everywhere. I had to buy a second to keep a clean one handy at all times. I just throw it in the washer on warm/cold or hot/cold and wa-la ... a clean 'Dolly' that withstands the high temperatures.

A perfect doll for a baby girl
I love this doll. My daughter received it when she was a few weeks old. It is very soft and safe for babies so it is great in the crib. My daughter loved it from the beginning and by the time she was 6 months old, she would not sleep without it. She is now almost 4 years old, and she still loves it and sleeps hugging it all night. If we can't find it, she won't sleep until we do. We should have bought two in the beginning because after so many times through the wash (4 years), it is pretty worn out. We also have to wash it quickly so that it is dry before nap time! There is something special about this toy. I have never seen a dolly that little girls love so much. I highly recommend this to anyone with a little girl.

Great for Imagination
I purchased this for my 5 year old and it's provided hours of imaginative fun for several children ages 5 through 11. There are several electronic features which have been fun for her to discover and have encouraged even more play. Well worth the money.

my kids LOVE this toy
This is a really cute toy. My 4 year old daughter has played with it every day since she got it for Christmas. She has even gotten her brother to be interested in it with her. Definately worth buying.

friendship pony stable - lots of fun
My daughter adores horses.I would be surprised if there were many
girls with more horses/ponies than she has.She asked Santa for this as soon as she saw the Fisher Price catalogue. She loves it.
She has the whole collection and plays for hours at a time with
them. She knows all their names and has the greatest pretend parties and school days with them. Great to stimulate their imagination.

Not for everyone!
My daughter got this for her 3rd birthday. I read her the book several times, and that was her favorite part of the toy. She played with it for about 15 minutes and then wasn't interested anymore. I think this toy would be great for a little girl who shows interest in ponies. Perhaps my daughter is not at the right age to act things out, but I felt that her options with this set were limited, and there was not much she could do with it.

She loves it!
I gave this toy to my little girl for her 3rd birthday. What she really wanted was the My Little Pony celebration castle but after reading the reviews on that toy, I couldn't see myself buying it. I think this was a good substitute. First of all the toy seems very durable, no flimsy pieces on this toy. There aren't a whole bunch of small parts to lose (the toy comes with just a few accessories and actually has a place to store them). My daughter plays with Comet the pony that came with the set, as well as Twinkles (an accessory pony) and also all of her other ponies including her my little ponies. The only thing I have negative to say about this set, is that Haley the little girl isn't a very good rider! I think she could have been designed a bit better so that she would stay on the horse! Sturdy ride for privileged dolls
My daughter rec'd this pram from her grandmother for Christmasalong with a Small Wonder Play Baby (blonde girl).We couldn't use it much with the winter weather, but come spring she wanted to "take baby for a walk."Mommy pushed our real baby, and my daughter had hers right alongside.I think the doll had the better ride!The pram is very sturdy with oversized wheels and great suspension, allowing young children to guide it with ease.Our daughter has not limited outdoor strolls to the sidewalk but rather likes to drive her baby around the yard.She has no problem negotiating bumpy terrain with this pram.There is also enough room in the baby basket for her to take a baby blanket and snacks to set up a small picnic.The only negative comment I have about it is that the set up instructions were not very clear on how to securely attach the basket to the base.It took me several attempts to attach it properly, and I have extensive experience with assembly of child paraphernalia.Nevertheless, it has been great fun ever since.Other doll strollers I've seen in the neighborhood cannot compare.This is a must if your child wants to take baby for a walk outside.

Fun and reasonable
We love this pram. My 6 & 7 yr. old daughter's love this product. The only drawback is that since the wheels are stationery, it is a little difficult to turn corners. Also, the red covering over the handle is moveable and sometimes slips to the side, so that could become a little annoying. But overall, I think it is a good and definitely, fun product!
