Your child probably doesn't know Lawrence Welk or the accordion he toted around so famously for years. That should work in the favor of this sturdy, enjoyable instrument. Compact and well built, this starter instrument is a great introduction to the accordion--or just a lot of ephemeral fun. The accordion fits nicely into the palms of an adult's hands, but isn't too unwieldy for its target audience. The number of keys are minimized for ease of use and simplicity, but it's still possible to crank out a complex favorite such as "Yankee Doodle Dandy" (a brief "basic instructions" leaflet is enclosed) only 10 minutes after the instrument's out of the box. --Keith Simanton ... WOW!!
This was a Xmas present for my children. I was pleasantly surprised when I heard the sound quality - quite realistic! It is very durable. The bellows are constructed of paper but it is very heavy-duty. It does, however, require some muscle to expand and coordination to use the buttons - so it is better for an older child.

fun little accordion
I, too, was surprised at the quality of sound of this instrument. It's also fun to play and easy to navigate -- you a/o your child will soon be picking out tunes with a minimum amount of practice. The only reservations I have are: 1) there are only three songs included in the instruction sheet; and 2) the accordion is designed for right-handed individuals; however, the thumb strap on the key side that could probably be removed and re-applied in order to make it playable by left-handers.

Pleasantly surprized
I was very pleased with this item. I had not expected such a nice tone from it. My 6 year old grandson was giving "concerts" the same night he opened his present. Amazingly, his "music" is quite nice to hear. This is definitely not another "noise making" toy. You will like it very much.

Rockin' Accordion
I've had this accordion for about a year and a half, and every time I pull it out and play a tune, I have far too much fun. While I'd like to be able to play recognizable tunes other than the 3 that came with the accordion, improv is a buch o' fun, and just about anything you do will sound good. I am 18 years old, and it still entertains me, so I'm sure it will be even more fun for younger kids.

Accordion Reviewed
This accordion doesn't look too classy in its construction and manufacture. However, the sound is strong and it does sound like an accordion. I'm just worried that the pleated section, which is constructed out of paper may puncture, although the creases are reinforced by some strong tape. This Guitar Sucks!
This Guitar is the werst guitar ever! I broke 3 strings just by strumming it. It always gets out of tune. One time we ran out of strings to replace them and so we took it to Guitar Center to repair it but they said is this the guitar you want fixed and im like Yeah. HE LAUGHED A LOT!!!!! I say only buy this guitar if you are planning on selling it!

BAD
This guitar is the worst one yet. in fact i dont see how one could buy such a product. If you were and allian from intergollactic world who has no sense of shopping maybe this would come in use for you. Once my little Daughter Natania was playing with and the inicent doll snapped the sting i took it to a fixer and guess what they did? Well they threww it out and simply told us to stop buying cheap stuff, thats what the proffesionals say and thats what i say so if you are smart you wont buy this.

I really enjoy playing the guitar and am hoping to start a band soon. i am in the 8th grade and have recruited some people. i dont have a guitar yet but i saw your electric guitar and died. i lay guitar pretty well but i still need an electric. My parents always say "i dont need it" or "too expensive." all i want is this guitar or a guitar to play music with and start a band with out playing my acoustic guitar in it like some wierd country band(sorry i dont like country that much). i could probably go on for days writing how much i want an electric guitar but u guys have limits on these response thingys.

A Fun Toy for Kids
We purchased this for a two year old girl who has been fascinated by our electronic piano and knows how to press buttons to make different sounds (and turn up the volume!), so we thought she might enjoy her own keyboard. She does.

Two major advantages are that it plays only one note at a time and has no volume control - kids cannot bang several keys or turn up the volume.

A big surprise is that her 5 year old cousin found the booklet and began reading the notes (labeled by number in the booklet and on the keyboard). She was delighted that she could play "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" within a few minutes. She will get this gift for her birthday next month!

While the younger child loves the drum key, hearing the dozen sample tunes that are programmed in and playing the keys, the older one is actually learning tunes.

I recommend this as a very affordable way to introduce a precocious 2 year old to the keyboard, and definitely recommend it for 5-6 year olds. This is a cute item - and if it does break (it looks durable, but it's too new to predict) or the child loses interest, you haven't lost a lot of money. A great little guitar !
We just purchased this guitar for our daughter's 3rd Birthday.
