It's Not Worth the Time or Money
My daughter go this as a birthday gift. As stated previously, the plates, utensils and pretend food are great. The lack of durability makes it worthless. She gets so mad when it falls apart and constantly has to ask to have it put back together. I too dread the days when she finds it and wants to play with it. Maybe a shopping cart with pretend groceries is a better idea.
Could Have Been a Great Toy
My 2 yr. old and 5 yr. old cousin loved this toy...until they finally got too frustrated with everything falling off/apart. It is a nice idea...I wish someone would make a more durable kitchen this size in a portable design...
Frustrating Waste of Money and Toy Closet Space
This is one of the most frustrating toys my daughter has because it constantly falls apart. I have snapped this thing back together hundreds of times, only to have it tip over or fall apart again within minutes. True, it is about as inexpensive as toy kitchens comes. I bought it because it can be stored in the toy closet when not used, and because it is difficult to find toys approved for children under the age of 3. It has been sitting in the closet for months and I dread the days she discovers it. This is a very frustrating toy for a child who cannot put it back together herself. For a child old enough to put it back together, it is a "baby" toy. Hence, it is worthless and takes up valuable toy closet space. The ONLY items of play value are the very few pieces of plastic food and utentils that come with it. Check out Fisher Price's web site and select ToysRUs stores for their plastic food items that are approved for children ages 2+ (much better quality, about $5/set, and no choking issues).
Fold N' Roll Kitchen
I bought this for my 1 1/2 year old daughter. She really enjoyed playing with the food, plates, & utensils but would get frustrated when the kitchen sink would come off or the oven would come apart from the fridge. We ended up laying it down a lot to lessen her frustration and now it's outside in her playhouse. I wouldn't buy this in replacement of a big kitchen set. It would have gotten better ratings from me if it didn't fall apart so much as my daughter does play with & enjoy it.
Falls over constantly
This little kitchen is really cute and the fold and roll idea is good, but in reality it doesn't work. The bases of the pieces are too small, they're top heavy and so they fall over, especially if you try to open any of the little doors. The two sides are supposed to hook together to make it stand up, but the hooks are too short and the pieces don't stay together. Forgot trying to keep it upright on carpet.
