5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite system
I'll give you my rhoughts on all three systems
    PS2(Top 3 games:Grand Theft Auto Double Pack/Metal Gear Solid 2/Final Fantasy X
    Pros:
    Play's DVDs
    Plays PS1 games
    Plays Cds
    Has the best games out
    Easiest Controller
usally doesn't cost nothing to get online
    Cons:
The worst graphics, but not all that bad
Can have long annoying loading times
    Need to buy memory cards
Need to buy multitap in order to have 4 players
What's up with Final Fantasy XI(They wan't $99 for game and hard drive, and pay money to be online every month, they're NUTS!!!!)

    Xbox(Top 3 games:Halo/Grand Theft Auto Double Pack/Star Wars KOTOR
    Pros:
    Best graphics out of three
Best for multiplatform games(Like Max Payne, it was better on this than PS2)
    no memory cards
    Custom sountracks(On selected game)
    The fastest loading systems
The best suited for T and M rated games(My kinda games)
    Cons:
The controller is still a little frustrating(And I had the dang thing for a while, I need a controller S)

Xbox live costs a bit, but no that much
So far still behind in games, but it's movin on up!
Too bad it can't burn mixed CD songs on it(Cuz I hate grabbing my regular CDs just to get 1 song)
Have to buy DVD kit to play DVDs
    STOP DELAYING HALO 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Gamecube(Top 3 games:Zelda:Wind Waker/Super Smash Brothers Meele/Metroid Prime
    Pros:

Cant play DVDs or CDs, but hey it's devoted to nothing but games
    Needs memory cards
Bairly any online games(I only know one, and thats Phantasy Star Online)

This console war stuff is stupid, lemme say it again, it's just stupid. It's just baisicly peple who only have one of the consoles, and are mad that they don't have the other one, so they bash it hoping to stop the anger. Like when people say PS2 has atari graphics, if thats what you see, get some friggin glasses yo! And whoever says Xbox has no games, and says Halo's garbage it's catchin on up, and Halo is so far the best game I've played on any new generation console, and anyone who treats gamecube like junk, they're just missiing out on some of the good stuff. Me I just say get all three, because all of them are very good systems, I don't care if one says one systems better than the other, they're all good!

    Best System Available
The Playstation 2 Entertainment System is the best videogame console available. Sure, Xbox has those awsome graphics, but have you seen the TERRIBLY clunky controler? And Gamecube isn't any good either, believe me, I owned one. It has a very small library of games, and the games it DOES have are mostly for little kids. The PS2 has the USB Headset, Internet Adapter, a HUGE library of games, it plays DVD's and CD's, and it's backwards-compatible (it plays PSX games)! My only complaint is that the graphics aren't all that sharp. If you are older than 9, and looking to buy a videogame console, look no further. Go out and buy one. NOW. If you don't beleive me, ask one of the 60,0000'th PS2 owners out their.

    Games I reccomend:

    Medal of Honor Frontline

    Grand Theft Auto III

    ATV Offroad Fury 2

    Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec

    Jak II

    Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando

Final Fantasy (Pick one of the many titles)

PS2 ROCKS!!! (Note: Look for the PS3 in the next 2-4 years...)

5-0 out of 5 stars The PS2 is the best gaming system out right now
OK. Put it this way. XBOX sucks. Gamecube sucks. For XBOX, you have to freakin pay to play online. for the PS2, all you need is the Internet adaptor. And what the heck is up with the XBOX controller? Its fat and ugly. Plus the PS2 is more compact and easier carry. Plus, you have to pay more to even do what the XBOX is capable of. 30 dollars for a dvd remote just so you can be able to play dvd's on the XBOX? thats crazy. With the PS2, all you need is the PS2 and a controller. Plus the PS2 has a WIDER variety of games to play than both systems combined. Sure the XBOX may have better graphics, but thats it. So hands down, the PS2 is the best system to buy right now.

3-0 out of 5 stars DVD? Are you sure about that?
I've never been able to get the play station to work as a DVD player, that is a disappointment, since I get sick of having so many wires in my entertainment unit, and it would have been nice to have one machine that performs three functions. (It plays Cd's quite nicely). That aside, It's a wonder machine that plays not only the new Playstation 2 games, but the older Playstation 1. (who wants to render all of their older games as obsolete?) Even though it would have been nice to use it as a DVD player, and I can't, it is a good machine and well worth the little that it costs. (But beware. . .Playstation makes up for the small cost by charging an arm and then some for the games.)

    5-0 out of 5 stars I love the playstation2!I
Ok,I dont have it,but I want it BAD!So please buy one! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Been playing GT4 Prologue for about a month!
I seriously hope that Sony puts a lot more effort into their completed product. Mind you the graphics are superb, I don't think that anyone can deny that. Playing the game looks like watching the intro movie. The driving physics are improved from the previous game, to a point. My major complaint is that when any type of traction control is turned on all the cars seem to drive the same. A rear wheel drive car drives like a front and vice versa. All the cars oversteer with the computer aided driving control. This problem is exacerbated in the rally modes. Another issue is the camera angles. The incar and 1st out of car angles are fine. The farthest camera angle makes the car look completely two-dimensional. The car turns like it is on a pivot about eight feet behind the car; it sweeps across the screen versus steering.

Don't get me wrong, I have had a blast playing this game and will be the first in line when a release date is set. Everything that is good about this game far outweighs the bad. But, nonetheless, the negative points are a direct correlation to how the game is played.

I'll say one thing, the tracks are phenomenal, the rally track especially. It also looks like they may be adding Sears Point Raceway, now known as Infineon. I could be wrong; but based on some of the ending movies I was able to recognize some key landmarks.

Can't wait to play the real thing, minus the Prologue bugs.

4-0 out of 5 stars READ THIS I HAVE PLAYED IT!
I got a chance to get behind the wheel at E3 this year, so for all die hard fans out there this review is for you! One huge difference in the game one sees off the bat is the graphics. With new elements such as weather effects(rain, snow, etc.) and much more pixels per square inch it can be hard to tell the difference between the simulator and reality. Yes indeed many more cars will be availible, but unlike the previous Gran Turismo games many more classic cars will be availible. I cannot say what cars exactly, but some new brands will be added as well that have not been availible before.

Here is the kicker, Sony teamed up with Logitech for the ultimate driving wheel to accompany the game. Much like last GT3 with the Force feedback wheel, Logitech has gone up and beyond unlike anything before this. A brand new Steering Wheel with a 900 DEGREE TURNING RADIUS!!!! unlike previous wheels with only about 200 degrees you will actually have to work hard to control the car. More than one turn on the wheel to be at full turning point! The Wheel is set to accompany the games release sometime near the fourth quarter of 2003!

5-0 out of 5 stars Posibly the most impressive looking racer to date
Posibly the most impressive looking racer to date. If only other game making companies could apply as much effort into a game as Sony has done with GT4

The hottest game to be unleashed
GT3 was an awesome game, from the tune ups to the formula ones. I tried the prologue of GT4, and WHOA. The graphics were awesome, but it was only 80 % done in the prolugue. And for those supercars lovers, there wil be lamborghinis, ferarris, and the Mclaren F1 GTR. There will also be the real car physics (the acceleration, handling, and top speed), and the race tracks extremely detailed. This is a best buy

    Dance Dance Revolution
    What DDR Is
DDR is a very active video game. You do not sit around with a controller tapping buttons with your fingers, however, you stand up, jumping like crazy and steping on arrows with your feet. It is very entertaining, and good exersise too. You need a special dance mat to play correctly. Once you pick a song you wish to play, moving arrows come up on your screen. Once the arrow corrosponds with the stationary arrow, you simply step on the same directional arrow on the dance mat. That is basicly what you do in DDR to complete songs. Completing songs will unlock new songs for you to play and master.

    My Opinions and Advise
I've played DDR, DDR Konamix, DDRMAX, DDRMAX2, and in arcades, DDR Extreme. In my opinion, I think DDRMAX is the best out of all of them. Its improved since konamix. It's got a great song selection, and even quite a few american songs. Anybody who is wondering which DDR to buy, you should definatly go with DDRMAX. DDRMAX2, however, was a little disappointing to me. It does not have a very great song selection (unless you like the 80's), and was not a big step from DDRMAX, (they're very similair).

5-0 out of 5 stars The Max RULEZ
This game is a great gift for kids, it is excersise, fun, and more fun. There are a few different modes like the work-out mode which lets you do unlimited songs and tells you how many calories you lose and stuff, game mode: unlock songs, people, and levels. There is an edit mode to create your own dance steps! There are many other modes but I can't talk about them because I'll ramble on about how fun they are. I consider DDR one of the best games on the face of this Earth. If your a parent I would get this for your son or daughter. If you are a child I would beg your parents for it until they want to strangle you then I would suggest running away before it actually happens! If your a newbie I would stay away from MaxUNLIMTED because like you gotta be a saint to do it perfectly on Expert or even Light (Easy). Another hard song is End of the century, it is no where near as hard as maxUNLIMITED though. You'll probably be able to End of the century within a week or so of getting it. I want you to be a DDR FREAK too. (I'm so big on it I lose over 1,000 calories per day on it!) Anyway I am rambling on like I tried not to do so I'm gonna shut up and let you buy this awesomely awesome game (Remind me not to say awesomely awesome again) so buy it now. You're still reading this aren't you...... GO BUY IT NOW (LoL Just kidding) But I would buy it. Hey wait why are you still reading this? GAAAAHHHHHH

5-0 out of 5 stars DDR makes you bootilicious !
DDRMax2 is the hot new way to exercise. Because it's so much fun!
First a simple overview. DDRMax2:Dance,Dance Revolution is a Playstation game where music is played on your TV screen. Arrows move across the screen. The player dances on a dance pad and attempts to move their feet to match the direction of the arrows. The better you do the more points you rack up. Sounds simple but it can be tough depending on the difficulty level you choose.
While the music is playing (and there are a number of songs to select from or let the game select for you) the background will change. Sometimes there will be videos, othertimes characters that you can select to dance with.
So each time you "play" the game looks different and you will have the challenge of trying to improve your ability level.
I purchased the game for the workout and am delighted to find that it's so much fun I could (and do) spend hours on it!
The game has the added bonus of a "Workout Mode" so you can track your calories, weight and progress.
You will need a dance pad to play the game. I bought two dance pads so my daughters could take turns working out with me or each other. Well worth the investment. I would advise buying good pads with good padding so it's easier on your joints as you will be doing a lot of moving around.
A+++++ for this great game that gets both kids and adults moving and grooving and having a GREAT time!

5-0 out of 5 stars It Rocks!!
I gotta say this is the most fun I've ever had exercising and that's exactly the reason I bought it. I like music and I like to dance and I'm losing weight in the process. I would highly recommend it to anyone for simply that, but also just for the fun of it. I'm 44 with 2 teenage kids and if I can do it, anyone can do it! I also need to say that you should get a really good Redoctane pad to go with it. It is $80, but well worth it. So go out and buy this and have fun!!

5-0 out of 5 stars GET ON THE DANCE FLOOR!!!!!! AGAIN
Ok lets get started with this review!

    Storyline NA/10
There is no storyline all u do is DANCE!!!!

    Gameplay 10/10
This game is extremely fun u will spend hours playing this game!!! And now with the new beginner level added new comers to the game can start at a very easy level. Also with the new dancer option u get to choose ur favorite dancers from a long list.

    Graphics 8/10
The graphics aren't that good, though there not meant to be, cause its more a fun loving kind of game. The dancers aren't that good graphics wise. Still the backgrounds still make up for it.

    Sound/Music 10/10
YEAH of chores this gets a 10/10, the music for this game is absolutely wonder with such songs as Dive ~more deep & deeper style~, Break Down, and Legend of Max. This game has some of the best music out there.

    Replay Value 10/10
U can never finish this game, there's always something new to do with it, like added options, and a whole lot of other stuff.

    Overall 10/10
THIS is one of the best sports games out there! Highly recommended!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars an actual buyer...
So far all of the reviewers (good and bad reviews) have been solely out of knowledge pre actually buying the game. However i bought the game and I think it is much better than the first one... I love that now there are a lot more characters (including one in what looks like a whinnie the pooh suit, which has to be unlocked) and more game choices. For example they have medley mode (probably the best new addition) where you can pick 5 songs or do it randomly (which is much more fun). What happens is it plays minute long snipits of the songs to sing, making it easier to do bunches of songs in smaller time. In random you dont know whats coming so u just go with it.
Overall i love this game and the new songs (toxic, I believe in a thing called love, etc.) are great!!

4-0 out of 5 stars OMG! THIS IS AWESOME!
I'm just going to flatout say it... EVERYONE SHOULD BUY THIS GAME! Everything about it great! The songs, the characters, ect. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I dont know some of the older songs like Heartbreak Hotel and Jesse's Girl. I really wish they would put Everytime or A Thousand Miles on it... but overall ... I LOVE IT! I recommend it to everybody who likes singing or music. Even if your shy in front of a crowd, like me, it helps boost your cofedience. I CAN'T WAIT TILL THEY MAKE KARAOKE REVOLUTION 3! AND... all the reviews have been saying how bad the headset is... but I think it's a lot better... cuz you can dance around when you sing and you can hear yourself too! (through the earpiece) Well, hope this is helpful!

OMG! I WISH I HAVE IT!!!!!
I don't have it but I played it my friends house and wish I did.

This fame has so much more charaters and outfits! This is the best game ever!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars What does a 40 Year Old Female Think?
I'm not sure anymore what Generation Y or whatever another reviewer was talking about means anymore...but I can talk about the game as someone who was born in the end of 1963 and hasn't been paying attention to popular music for the past 5 years or so...

I got this game on day one, and I didn't know about half the songs...and I still love it! There are songs I remember from when I was a kid; those are fun to sing! Then there are songs I only heard bits of when seeing TV commericals for the local Top-40 radion station -- "Hit me baby one more time" as an example. No problem! I listened to the song on training mode, then played it on the very forgiving "Easy" level. What Fun! An hour later I had a Platinum Record on Expert Level! This game teaches you how to sing and there is huge variety. Version 2 has lots of gameplay improvements too!

Pick up the hand held mic (ABSOLUTELY!), and version 1 without the mic as well, and you've got a sure fire hit for any age group gathering. If you are shy about singing in public, buy it for yourself and play alone. In a few weeks you'll look for an excuse to sing with others. Really.

This game would have been worth it at double the price! (Version 1 as well!) And no, I don't work for Konami or anyone else in the industry, but I'd certainly consider it with games like this!

4-0 out of 5 stars PLAYED THE GAME
Cool game, but I must say the first volume was a lot closer the real versions of the songs. I like the song selection and the new venues crack me up - especially the jumping headlights in the garage! I love Karaoke Revolution!! ... Read more

    Amazon.co.uk Review

Ever wondered what would happen if the worlds of Final Fantasy and Disney collided? It’s an odd concept to be sure, but from the most schizophrenic of acorns the mighty gaming oak of Kingdom Hearts has grown. Legendary role-playing game makers Square have been given unprecedented liberties with the entire Disney universe and have created a game featuring everything from The Nightmare Before Christmas to The Little Mermaid. This is odd enough in itself when you have characters as disparate as Tarzan and Donald Duck teaming up, but becomes majorly freaky when Square thrown in a variety of their own characters such as Cloud, Squall, and Aeris from the various Final Fantasy games. But this incongruity has one side benefit in that the storyline behind the game is by necessity rather vague, which seems to have stopped Square from filling three CDs full of their usual New Age whining about Mother Earth. Instead they’ve spent even more time on the graphics, and the end result is a quite stunning 3-D cartoon.

As for the gameplay, it may come as a surprise to learn that it doesn’t actually feature, as all the Final Fantasy games do, turn-based combat. Instead it's essentially a scrolling beat-'em-up-cum-platformer with exactly the kind of complicated Square-style knobs you’d expect. The game may be a little shallow, but it’s an impressive artistic achievement and to be quite frank any title that allows you to magically summon Bambi out of thin air to attack evil demons of the underworld has got to be worth some sort of recommendation. --David Jenkins ... 5-0 out of 5 stars RPG fan or not, you're sure to like this game!
Kingdom Hearts was the first RPG I have ever played, and now, that I have played most of the Final Fantasies, this is still my favourite, along withh FF7. This game is absolutly beautyfiul in every way, from the way the cartoon characters move in their new 3D version to the way this game brings a tropical island to life.

The story starts out on the Destiny Islands, and you play Sora, a 14 year old who lives on the island with his friends Kairi and Riku. Selphie (FF8), Tidus and Wakka (FFX) make appearences as well. After Sora's island is destroyed by the Heartless, a sinister force that can take and destroy people's hearts, he ends up in Traverse Town eher he meets Donald and Goofy. You meet plenty of toher FF and Disney characters here.

They include Leon, Aerith, Yuffie, Cid, Cloud, Sephiroth, Pongo and Perdita, Merlin, The Fairy Godmother, Maleficent, The Queen of Hearts, Alice, The Cheshire Cat, The White Rabbit, Card Soldiers, Tarzan, Jane, Clayton, Terk, Kala, Kertchak, Hercules, Hades, Phil, Jafar, Aladdin, Jasmine, Abu, Iago, Genie, Carpet, Geppetto, Pinocchio, Jiminy Cricket, Ariel, Sebastian, King Triton, Flounder, Flotsam, Jetsam, Jack Skellington, Oogie Boogie, Sally, Zero, the Mayor, Dr. Finkelstein, Lock, Shock, Barrel, Captain Hook, Peter Pan, Wendy, Tinker Bell, Mr. Smee, Beast, Belle, Aurora, Cinderella, Snow White and Chernabog. There are also 6 Disney summons as well; Simba, Bambi, Dumbo, Tinker Bell, Mushsu and Genie.

If you say you've played the best games on PS2, you haven't played anything until you try this game! Sure, it may seem corny, but trust me, this game is worth the money!

One of the best games I've played in awhile
This game is simply incredible, to start off, the voice cast is exceptional for a video game. Many big names make up the voice crew starting with the main protagonist, a boy named Sora, who is voiced masterfully by Haley Osment. Aeris from FF7 is voiced by Mandy Moore and Sephiroth is voiced by Lance Bass. The Disney Characters are almost all voiced by their commonly known actors, (James Wood and Jodi Benson, etc.)

Many people are skeptical of buying this game because of their natural prejudice against anything made by Disney, if you are one of these people and look at this like looking through a window painted black then you will miss out on one hell of a game!

The gameplay, based around an action RPG combat system where everything occurs in real time, is unlike any other. It's easy to get into but difficult to master, you will have to be able to flip through your item inventory while fighting off baddies and trying to stay alive. The battles vary from casting magic spells on foes from a distance or going toe to toe with the enemy in a clash of swords. Along your way you will encounter Goofy and Donald Duck who will join up with you on your quest, you probably think that sounds wussy but you'll be glad to have them along. Goofy is more of a fighter/defensive character while Donald is more of a caster/offensive character. They are both controlled by computer AI that you can adjust to fit your strategic needs.

The storyline is very unique being that it combines Final Fantasy characters colliding with Disney. It has the usual run off the mill villainry of the evil Disney characters trying to accomplish their wicked schemes in their corresponding worlds. This may sound stereotypical but it is mostly done in an interesting more intriguing way than you would expect. On top of Disney's baddies are Final Fantasy characters that you'll end up fighting, early on you'll have a few mock duels with Tidus, Wakka, and you'll even end up crossing blades with Squall!

I'm still playing through the early stages of the game but from what I've seen so far this will be a title to be remembered.

5-0 out of 5 stars Keeps you entertained
It has been several years since i have purchased this game, I have been playing this game since 2000, and i am still completly entertained. Replay value is very high. The real time battle sytem of the game will keep you both awake and alert throughout the ENTIRE game. I give the graphics a 4 out of 5, and the cinnematics are splendid. Story line is very deep and will just suck you in. After a couple of hours, you will feel very connected to your character. i can safely say that anyone who purchases this game should be more than stisfied. The only complain i do have is there are not enough CG, and that people who will use special attacks might accidentaly use the wrong one.

5-0 out of 5 stars this game rules
Kingdom hearts is the best game I have you have to find a way to get it its so much fun....
I OWN IT I THINK ITS HOT

5-0 out of 5 stars An AWESOME game
I started playing this game when I was 11 and its so much fun, Ive re-played and beaten it 8 times since then (Im 13 now) It has an amazing storyline, one that makes you never want to stop playing. This is probably one of my all time favorite video games, and thats saying a lot :P If you don't like the Final Fantasy series, I still recomend buying this game. There isn't a lot in it about the FF series, just a few of the characters who have minor roles.

This game is also incredibly cheap for how much fun it is. I would definitly get this game. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars More frustrating that fun.
This game is just full of holes. The loading takes way too long, the career mode takes months before you see results, the game freezes at the worse possible times, and it's just bad times.
For instance, I tried career mode over the last week. I built a guy, did alright, played around for an hour, and the game froze up. I tried it again the next day, played for an hour and tried to save, froze while I was saving. Just 3 minutes ago it took the typical 3-5 minutes of random loading, and froze the second the loading bar was full.

AND ANOTHER THING, the game designers seemed to focus more on pointless features like 10-year contract bonuses and pitcher confidence, and less on actual hitting/pitching. I can't count the number of times my bat went right through a ball for a strikeout. There are also random glitches that cause balls to break the laws of phyisics to get strikes.

This just seems to be a Murphy's-law kind of game. It WILL freeze at the worst possible time, you WILL strike out in the most important situation, and you WILL want to pull the CD out of the machine and punch it into powder.
PS: It's not just my CD that freezes up, almost every person who's reviewed as noticed it.

3-0 out of 5 stars It's so annoying
The games whole setup is awsome but almost every time I play it the game frezzes. I'm in the middle of my franchise and it frezzes on me. Its sooooo cheap and annoying.(I was winning too!) I just don't see how such a great game has sucha big issue. So annoying! Geeze! I just can't belive it. But anyway, sometimes it freezes while it's giving me a tip or just freezes out of nowhere and my ps2 screen goes pure white. I can still hear all the sound and everything but it's either white or not moving at all. You can get the game and enjoy it but suffer some major issues. Or you can just wait until you see something else you like. But on my opinion I sorta wish I don't have it and havemething else.

1-0 out of 5 stars Game Freezes!!!!
Do not buy, listen to everybody when they say the game freezes!!!It always does.Dont waist your time, and especially your money!

    5-0 out of 5 stars MLB 2006
It is a good game, but it is a little to cartonish for me. I am glad you have Mark Elis on the game. I liked the graphics and the game play

1-0 out of 5 stars Game Freezes
Sony...read one of these reviews why don't ya? Every single person who has written a review says that this game freezes...and so do I. Jeez! I've been a faithful fan of MLB since it came out, but this game is so frustrating! I'll get into the 8 or 9th inning and wham...the game freezes. It locks up, so you can't play it and have to restart. I've even won games and been in the process of coming back to the main menu when it freezes.Never again will I buy this game. Never never never never never never.

If Sony would just fix this problem the game would kick butt!!! ... Read more

    Amazon.com Review

Video game makers have been experimenting with live-action video in games since the early 1980s but EyeToy (a digital camera for PlayStation2) marks the first time it's been done right. The device magically superimposes video-game graphics onto a player's image and translates his or her movements into controlling elements of the game. It is the best improvement of video game controls since the joystick.

The EyeToy camera plugs into your PS2
EyeToy has two components: a digital camera that plugs into one of the USB ports in the front of the PS2 and a disc of party games. In the EyeToy games--there are 12 on the disc, but some of them are little more than variations on the same theme--your image is at the center of the action. The game is totally controlled by moving your body in front of the camera. For example, in one game where the object is to beat back invading hordes of kung-fu fighters who come at you from the four corners of the screen, you must move your hands (or elbows, head, hips, whatever) to connect with the fighters onscreen and slap them away. Unlike most contemporary video games, EyeToy is so intuitive that most users will be able to play in a matter of seconds--even toddlers and senior citizens. Watching someone play EyeToy is fun: onscreen, the games are like the fanciful mix of live action and animation á la Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and off-screen, the player's movements are almost as goofy as those playing Dance Dance Revolution.

EyeToy is best enjoyed by groups
Setting up EyeToy is simple--just plug in the camera and drop in the disc--but fine-tuning it for your game environment takes a little effort. First, you'll need to have adequate, well-balanced lighting. We found that a bare 60-watt light bulb positioned behind the EyeToy camera worked pretty well. Next, you should clear away as many objects as possible between you and the EyeToy camera. Not only can extra objects impede the camera's function, they can present hazard when playing the game. A uniform background helps, too; we found that a light-colored wall worked better than a dark background. Before you drag the couch out on the lawn and pull pictures off the wall, try out the camera in different positions to see if you can find something that works without redecorating. The recommended placement of your EyeToy camera is right on top of your TV, but if your PS2 is situated farther than the 72-inch attached camera cord, you will have to get creative. We tried pointing the camera up at us from a coffee table and it worked fine.

The EyeToy games, while fun, are too simple to keep solo gamers interested for long periods of time. EyeToy is best as a party game played with groups of friends, or as a way to show off your PS2. And as a peripheral for future games EyeToy holds a lot of promise. Let's hope that Tony Hawk and John Madden find a use for this little camera. --Porter B. Hall

    Pros:

    • Totally unique approach to video game design
    • Great for groups
    • So intuitive that anyone will be able to play it immediately
    Cons:
    • Only the pathologically vain will find lasting fun in this as a solo game

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun, fun, and more enjoyable fun!
I got this item the day after I got my Playstation 2 on Christmas day with the money I got. it was easier to set up than I expected. there are to USB ports on your PS2. it's on the left of your controler port in the horizontol postion (side to side) or below the controler port in the vertical postion(up and down). you plug the camera wire into one of them (dosen't mater which one) and the camera on top of the TV. all you need to do than is to move the camera up and down untell your in the picture. than you move the lens untell the picture is really clear.sounds hard but really easy. OK, there are 12 games on this game very fun. me and my Dad played for 45 minutes and sweating all lot for punching vertuol people to death. This are very fun games. wouldn't change a thing about them. there is also a play mode which you can pop bubbles, play in snow, twitch like your dieing (on the TV, not in real life) and much more! The last thing I'm going to say is this thing is less than two inches tall and less than three inches wide!

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the greatest games in the PLANET!!!!
My friend got this for her birthday and we played it almost all night long on her birthday party. You actually feel like u'r in the tv playing game- whether its heading soccer balls, doing kung fu or dancing! Its a really cool and fun technology and a must have for all ages and both genders. Its definitely going on my birthday and christmas wishlist this year! It is truly one of the greatest games in the planet!!!!

***fine print: even this almost-perfect sounding game has its drawbacks---you have to get used to pressing buttons by waving your hands in the air which might take a while and on some of the games you can't see yourself very clearly on the screen. Also, in the dancing game (i think its called Disco stars) you have to position the camera in a very good position or sometimes the buttons don't get pressed and you don't get points.***

BUT STILL, THIS GAME IS THE BEST!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars awesome!
I GOT MY EYETOY YESTERDAY AND I HAVE PUT ABOUT 8 HOURS OF PLAY TIME INTO IT. I REALLY LOVE SOME OF THE GAMES AND THE VOICE AND VIDEO MESSAGING IS WONDERFUL I DID A BUNCH OF FAKE COMMERCIALS THAT WERE REALLY STUPID AND MY FRIENDS GOT A KICK OUT OF IT.IF YOUR LOOKING AT THE FRONT OF THE BOX AND ON THE RIGHT SIDE ARE THE LEAST FUN GAMES, BUT ALL THE OTHERS ARE "WILDLY ADDICTING" IIF U DO BEAT FREAK WITH SOME LIKE 7 POUND WEIGHTS ITS A REALLY GOOD WORKOUT! MY 3 YEAR OLD NEPHEW LOVES IT SPECIALLY THE PLAYROOM I RECCOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

    eye toy ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EYE TOY ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!i love playing kungfoo, boxing, and wishiwashi.they're my 3 favorites.my friends and i love to make funny videos on eye toy.this is one of the best games ever!!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Eye Toy
The games on Eye Toy are really cool but you can get really bored of playing some of the games over and over. Out of the 12 games you can play games by savimg your friends, playing soccor, destroying ghost, spinning plates, washing windows, boxing, being a dancing diva, and becoming a kung fu fighter. Before you start Eye Toy the game will tell you some really good tips and before each game I'd recomend reading the instructions first. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Incredibly Fun!!!
If you're still doubtful about buying this game due to negative reviews, read no more and Just Buy It. First of all Winning Eleven 8 can't possibly be compared with any Fifa edition. This game is exciting, fun, and most certainly realistic. Once you get control of a player, you can imagine it is you dribbling the ball and taking spectacular shots at goal at any angle you desire and however fast you want it to go. A great feature is that each player is given distinct and original skills. Pavel Nedved is unstoppable or if you like putting a bit of crazy speed, give the ball to Ronaldinho and even bust a "gambeta" here and there. I can continue writing all night long but then again you need time to pay for this game. One last thing, there is a bad aspect to it, it turns to be time consuming once your fully into it.

2-0 out of 5 stars The lack of licensing ruins it as always.
Like any other game in the sries winning eleven eight puts a strong emphasis on gameplay, and being a big fan of the sport i appreaciate that fact. But once again the lack of licensing brings the games presentation down along with visuals that cant compare to the fifa series. I have been buying both fifa and winning eleven 8 games side by side for a long time, and every year i enjoy fifa more. While i can understand why this game is said to be better then fifa and is pereffered by gamers it still doesnt work for a statistical buff like me who finds licensing to be an important part of ne soccer game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best game ever
This is the best soccer game ever; you cannot imagine how real and how exiting until you play it. If you love soccer, you will love this game. It gives you the latest updated information about the teams and the players. I strongly recommend this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best computer game ever written!!!
(TRUTH IN REVIEWING)I have been involved with computers and games since 1978.I wrote two pioneering games for the Apple II and the Mac, and then gave up on computer games around 1983.

Since then, I have really enjoyed Shogun and Roller Coaster Tycoon -- but briefly. This is the first game I have seen in YEARS which really has the power -- which really makes people want to play it!

Perhaps most important is the basic choice -- soccer (football for the rest of the non-Yank world!:-))Football is a really fun game which almost everyone enjoys!(I would never have bought a video game for basketball, just for an example, nor for American football...)

But the next most important thing is the excellence of the software implementation. And here, I must confess, my jaw drops.I have never seen anything in the software world done so well, or so thoroughly.

This game is so GOOD and so much FUN that it entirely justifies the price of the hardware (PS2) to run it on,just as Visicalc in the old days (at $150) justified the purchase of an entire Apple II system to run it on.

    It is that good!

Highest possible recommendation, and sore fingers!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Winning Eleven 8
I like most people I know struggled through the flaws in past FIFA series.I read reviews and kept hearing the name Winning Eleven and so I decided to go for it and bought Winning Eleven 7.The game was great but Winning Eleven 8 is even better.
    -Improved gameplay
    -Deeper Master League
-More Licensed Club Teams and Real Player Names

I own FIFA 2005 and Winning Eleven 8 is much better (except for the online gameplay).
The question is, should I buy Winning Eleven 8 or FIFA 2005?
The games are very different and one game might suit one person more than another but here are reasons to buy one or the other...

    FIFA 2005
-Online Play: This feature is great.Playing the computer can become rather boring after a while but being able to play anyone anywhere in the world at you ability is amazing.I played online for a while but became sick of other players using certain tricks or flaws in the game to win like scoring off every kickoff.
-Career Mode: This mode is very deep with every officially licensed league. The benefits is you can switch leagues and teams throughout your career (unlike WE8) but the computer is so predictable and easy to play against that I didn't have the patience to complete the first season.
-Graphics: The graphics are amazing with players, jerseys, and stadiums appearing like it was television.

    Winning Eleven 8
-Gameplay: The gameplay is amazing, it has improved from WE7 and the computer AI is much more difficult.A new 6 star difficulty is available to unlock and I don't see this game becoming too easy for anybody. The crowd's participation makes you sweat pushing for an equaliser or holding a one goal lead.Playing with two people is much better than FIFA 2005 with quicker game play and no cheap goals. You'll play for hours with a friend who is at the same skill as you.
-Graphics: Personally I think the graphics are almost as good as FIFA.The difference doesn't bother me except for the uniforms which are kind of plain on the unlicensed teams. The jerseys for unlicensed teams are the same colors but don't have logos or sponsors on them.
-Master League: It is even more advanced and has more features than WE7.Although their isn't license leagues and cups, it does replicate real soccer.Yes, Manchester United is in the game as for the top 100 or so European clubs including licensed Italian, Spanish, and Dutch leagues. Each league has a cup and there is a WEFA Championship (Champion's League) and WEFA Master's Cup (UEFA Cup). With all new Master League edit mode, you can change which teams are in what leagues and create a "Power League" which is very entertaining. All in all this feature is worth buying the game itself.

If you love European Football and know a little bit about the teams and their players, than Winning Eleven 8 is for you.If you like arcade style soccer, buy FIFA 2005.True soccer fans will love this game and the more people that buy it, the more licensed leagues will ensue in future versions of Winning Eleven, so buy it today! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Get the right one
All I'm gonna say about this game is make sure you get the Collector's Edition for PS2 only. (...)In addition to the regular version of Madden NFL 2005 in limited edition collectible packaging, the Collector's Edition will include: playable classic versions of Madden from the 16-bit era and two from the PlayStation era, a Madden trivia challenge with over 1000 questions, "Madden Moments" spanning the past 15 seasons, and historical playoff teams from the past 15 years--each with their authentic uniforms. Other goodies exclusive to the Collector's Edition will include: bonus video content including footage of "The Madden Phenomenon", "The Music of Madden", and a documentary looking into how the game is developed every year from scratch.

5-0 out of 5 stars greatest football game ever made
madden 2005 is the absolute greatest football game made. the new defense options are great and the hit stick, phew, i love it. thats all i like to do on defense is use it on the quarterback for a sack, force fumbles, and the best part is when i hit the reciever so hard he just drops the ball. i also like how the game has tackles that are more realistic and u cant just bounce off of 5 defenders and run for 100 yards. you should really buy this game. p.s. the story mode is a great feature to make the franchise even more fun and competitive.

2-0 out of 5 stars this game is worse than 04
Im 15 years old. I think that this is the worst football game sinse 2000. Not because of the graphics, their great, or because of all the new features either there also great, except one. John Madden thought that it would be a great idea to have no choice on if you want or don't want to have the salary cap turned off. Now usually I play for the first couple years with a salary cap, like i did this year, but I found out that after I played 2 years of my season I couldn't play because I was 30,000,000 dollars in the hole and I did not have any created players, and they were all average players. I play with the vikings. The only people on that roster that have big salaries are Moss and Culpepper. Why doesn't madden get rid of that AI. thing, that is the dumbest thing on the game. I sure hope Madden doesnt do that again next year or I wont be buying his game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Madden 2005 is the best
Madden 2005 is the best football game i have ever played I love the new storyline central and the new hit stick with those agressive defenses this game has great graphics and the players overall ratings are perfect and this game is way better than espn nfl 2k5 even though this game costs way more money I love this game and it is to die for the best game ever!!!!!!!!! p.s. you must either rent or buy this game!!!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars MADDEN CHALLENGE
This year of Madden is going to be the best ever. The new defensive controls are going to put an exciting new twist on game. It used to only be fun playing offense but now you can enjoy both sides of the ballo to make how you play the game way more intense. These new features are going to really add tension in this years Madden Challenge.....Its already intense with 50 Gs on da line but with Hit Stick having the ability to change the outcome of the game..wow.its gonna be crazy.....c u in line for the game or at the Madden Challenge....P3@CE ... too fun!
This is the greatest my kids love it! They have alot of energy and this does the trick!

Great Pad, depending on where you're at...
This is the 2nd pad ive got for my DDR Max 2 Ps2 game. The first one was the one konami makes that can be purchased in a bundle. This Dance pad revol. 2 pad is durable, doesnt slip (unless your on carpet) and is of good size. The downside is this is a thing pad, made of a plastic type material. So, it fit me in the beginning stages of playing, and still hasent broken.

However, i have gotten better with practice, and the arrows get faster as i go. This means your feet get moving faster. I have found that this pad kind of scrunches up when your moving to faster songs. So, if your a more advanced DDRer, then I would go for a pad with one of those foam insterts in there. Overall, decent pad, depending on what level your at.

Also, if you buy this pad, the box is kind of small. I would recomend flattening it out before use. Maybe heavy books or rocks on the corners overnight.

    Middle Aged DDR fan
I just purchased 2 DPR2 pads from Naki International. This is a great pad for beginners (like myself and my wife) and it is rather inexpensive. Coupled with the DDRMax 2 game and a PS2 and you definatly can spark up family night and shed a few pounds in the process. (I lost 6 lbs in one week) The pads are not the best pads I've seen. They do tend to slide on the carpet little bit but for the price, it's an even trade. For you serious enthusists, I would recommend to spend the money to get the harder pads ($100 and up) or for $60 go to Home deport and modify them with particle board underneath. (...).

    Dance Pad By:Ashley Seidel
I give this pad 4 stars because sometimes when you are doing a fast song it moves a little.Because you have to keep up so you don't mess up. Otherwise than that this pad is EXCELLENT!!!!!. You should get this pad because it is better than the rest. Becareful not to press too hard on the button's when you get the pad or it could probaly break (I'm not for sure and I don't want to find out).I would of gave this pad 5 stars. But I didn't because it moves a little when you dance fast.

    Dance Pad Revolution
Just to say that even though the age is 8+, me and my 15 yr old mates have a great tym on it, and its great 4 working out. Thas all. C yaz! O yea- it also duznt slide very much- which is a set back of most dance pads ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars NBA Street V3
Soar above the rim and leave your mark as NBA Street V3 hits the pavement: 3-on-3, over-the-top, and larger than life. V3 builds on the game-proven, platinum-selling gameplay of the Street series with new tricks and high-flying dunks. All new Trick Stick and interactive Gamebreaker control elevates the game to new heights with unmistakable style and attitude. Featuring today's biggest NBA stars, a collection of the league's all-time greats, and a Hall of Fame cast of past Street characters, V3 is non-stop, fast-paced, action-packed, in-your-face fun. It's as simple as that. NBA Street V3 is packed with highly-detailed authentic street courts, deep player customization options, new Court Creator, and sick online play. Put your rep on the line in the ultimate proving ground: the street courts of NBA Street V3.

The best of the series by far, I would be surprised if there's a better arcade sports game released in 2005. From bouncing the ball off your opponent's noggin to draining a game-winning three, there is just so much opportunity to talk smack, to compete, and best of all, humiliate your friends by dunking on their heads, that I think this is a must-buy for gamers looking for a fun basketball game without having to worry about the differences between a Triangle and a Box formation. Throw in six controllers and go at it in a real three-on-three for even more laughs, more slams, and best of all, more smack.

EA doesn't need an exclusive license to be king of the NBA street court. Midway, you may be second-fiddle for the rest of eternity as NBA Street V3 is the best street game of this generation. The only weak point is the sound, but beyond that, every aspect of V3 crackles with energy and imagination. I am a little bummed that EA still hasn't done anything interesting with jump shots (give us a dozen different trick shots, please), making it all about the dunks. The new GameBreaker is a sick and sweet idea and after putting a few dozen games under my belt, I began coming up with my own custom GameBreaker dunks. The inclusion of the Beastie Boys is inspired, the ability to customize your own court and shoes well-executed, and every GameBreaker dunk a furious thunder of street attitude. It's great, go buy it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Basketball Game Out
NBA Street V3 has everything this year. The new Street Challenge is awesome, since you are able to build your own court. The dunk contest is unreal, because you are able to jump over anything. The gameplay is better to, but Bobbito needs a few more lines.May I suggest some ideas for the next version.

1-Use And 1 players against the NBA or against the NBA Street characters.

2-Use some of the old players from NBA Street, combine them together, and make a little challenge out of it, sort of like a new game mode.

OH YEAH, FOR THE DUDE THAT SAID TAKASHI IS NEW, HE IS OLD, REMEMBER, HE WAS ON THE FIRST NBA STREET, PLAYING ON THE ROOF.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Streetball game made so far!
Don't listen to anyone who gives this game bad reviews. It is awesome. Nothing about this game is bad, except for the fact Bobbito Garcia should change some of his lines. The Street Challenge or "Be a Legend" as in Vol.2 has been upgraded to the fullest. Vol.2's Be a Legend is about a 3.5/10 compared to V3. You can customize your character so much more,fine-tuning to every aspect of the face, even watches, and jewelery, to custom shoes. It has it all. Following that, you create your home court just the way you like it, you can even pick from about 35 cities. A new thing is that when you up ur stats, its out of 99, so it takes a while to boost your skills. You can still trade players to get better players after you beat a team and there are also new street legends. Stretch is back with oldies Bonafide, Dime, and Biggie Littles. Two new players to the game as Tacasie or something (he's chienese) and Phat. And for the people that think NBA Challenge is gone, its not, its just called NBAtreet League and thats also in Street Challenge. Besides the sweet Street Challenge there is a new dunk contest. Its pretty unreal, but loads of fun. You can use props and jump over them (Benches, Ladders, Trash bins, etc.), you can throw the ball up to yourself from a lot of crazy ways and angles, and when your in the air, you'll pull off the sickest dunks you've ever seen. The Gamebreaker must be one of the best parts of the game. Yes, the GB 2 is gone but this is alot better. You jump in the air and pull off the same dunks you would in a contest only you have teammates, so then you can throw the ball to them in mid-flight. You can even do a 3 man dunk show above the rim. You can get a best score of +4 and -1 to your opponents score. The lowest is +2 and -1. The better tricks you do, the better the score. Everything is new and better in this game, even the graphics which are brought to a new level with V3. So go out and buy the best streetball game you'll ever own (until maybe a Vol. 4 comes out) ...
