Editorial Review

Listen to the soothing sounds of a Bach melody with this add-oncartridge for the award-winning Neurosmith Music Blocks Mozart Set. With thiscartridge, the rainbow-hued blocks each play a few seconds of basic Bach in avariety of digitally created musical formats: voices with flute; vibraphone; aquartet with strings and woodwinds; an ensemble with trumpets, strings, andwoodwinds; an ensemble with woodwinds and percussion instruments; and piano. Itrequires careful listening to distinguish differences between the differentmusical ensemble styles and between some of the musical sequences that are quitesimilar. The similarity between musical segments is actually an advantage to theuser, as the blocks can be combined in many sequences to produce new melodiesthat essentially sound like real music. --Marcie Bovetz ... 4-0 out of 5 stars A very nice cartridge!
We have the original Mozart, Rhythms of the World, and Sounds of the Orchestra in addition to this one. I like Mozart and Bach the best.

For those interested, the Bach tune is BWV 784 Two Part Invention #13 in A minor.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best
My young daughters (1 & 3) can't get enough of these music blocks. I agree with others who say "toss out 90% of the rest of your toys and keep this one."

The kids love them all, but if you ask me, Bach and Rhythms of the World are the best (along with the Mozart block that comes with the main unit.) After yor kids are in bed, you'll go downstairs and have one more listen-- I guarantee it.

But enough of this. Go ahead and buy them all and listen for yourself-- for $20 you really can't go wrong. And your kids really will love them all. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Kasey the Kinderbot is so interactive kids won’t feel like they’re being fed yet more education. Just don’t mention that he’s a "learning toy." Play up all of the top-notch bells and whistles: a cute noggin holding great-sounding speakers; limbs that rotate wherever you’d expect them to; and large, color-coded buttons and lights.

Kasey’s 40+ functions supplement the educational regimens kids are already studying, and a few others: reading, math, phonics, spelling, problem-solving, observation, art, physical fitness, foreign languages, animal identification, and even etiquette. And get this: Kasey also offers music and stretch breaks between lessons. He comes with one cartridge loaded with a bevy of entertaining lessons; other learning cartridges can be purchased separately. The only downsides: there is no computer port for downloading, no power adapter cord to let you avoid buying more of the required "D" batteries, and the LCD screen is only 2.5 square inches, with no color. Requires three "D" batteries (not included). --Diane Beall ... Read more

What a learning tool!
Our 3 year old boy absolutely loves Kasey! He has learned so much from him and has had him since he was just about 2 years old. He knows 6 words in Spanish, learned how to count, spell and lots more with Kasey, he is like a member of our family! Thanks Kasey and Fisher-Price!

My 3 year old LOVES his KASEY!!!!
And so do I. It has a volume control on it to boot! This is the PERFECT educational toy to hold my little mans attention while I get some housework done. He EVEN knows how to change the learning functions on the back. He LOVES IT and will probably love it for a long time more....when he outgrows it, it will go to his baby brother or sister who is on the way.

too loud
this is a very loud toy even when you put down the volume even my son who is 3 taught it was too loud and turned it off automatically. The only thing he seems to do with Kasey is singing and dancing. He used his leappad more for educational purposes. This toy just doesn't interest him and is the last he will play with and only for a short time. Leapfrog system is much better if looking for educational value.

i bought it yesterday and now it doesny work
I gave kasey to my son yesterday and today when we went to use him every 2 minutes his screen goes blank and we have to reset it to get the screen back on. My 3 yr old gets very frustrated using kasey because he doenst stay on long enough for him to actually use him. I dont think this toy was worth all the money we spent on him. I was very disapointed with the quality of this toy.Monday I will be calling fisher price.

Best Learning Tool Yet
My son received Kasey for Christmas. We have all of the cartridges and I am amazed at what he has learned. He has be teaching me Spanish. I feel that he will be prepared for school next year. ... Read more

this is really not a toy...it is a learning tool
This item is a learning tool, if used properly. Most definetly this item is not a toy.
Playing with toys do several things for the person/s who are utilizing the toy reguardless of age. Relieve stress, bring families closer together create and promote great imaginations and sometimes are just mindless fun.
So, in the right hands(with some parental supervision)this is a great learning tool. ... Read more

Great learning tool
I received one of these alphabet apples for my (then) 3 year old about three years ago. Despite being dropped, kicked, thrown into the toy chest and being thoroughly used, it still works perfectly. This definitely helped him develop his letter recognition and both of my girls used it after him. We got a lot of play value out of this item.

Bought for 3yr old daughter
I bought this toy to help my daughter learn her letters and in my oppinion it is a very good toy the voice is clear and not to loud and the voice isn't annoying like in some learning toys. Its not very clear when it says H it sounds like 8 my daughter even said 8 instead of H. ... Read more
