not make correctly
My daughter just loves the video and mat - so as a birthday present received the tutu and slippers. When you look at the tutu- it is just perfect; however, when my daughter puts it on the tuile stands straight up. We have washed it and it still does it. We have come to the conclusion that it is sewn wrong. I will have to take it off and resew it the other way. This was a huge disappointment for my 5 year old. ... Read more

A good time for your future restauranteur
My 6yo son got this toy for Christmas in conjunction with the drive-through set, and while it doesn't fit on the surface of that toy very well, it's a great pretend "restaurant" set-up. I was really amazed that the cash register actually is a working calculator! And of course, little kids love wearing the hat and earpiece - it looks so cute on! The one big complaint I'd have is the quality of the play money. There are 2 sets of one quarter, one dime, and one nickel all glued together, and a fake $1, $5, and $10 bill each. One each! And they're glued to the package and they tear when you try to take them out! The little plastic sundae looked almost good enough to eat! One caveat: Make sure to not lose the key to the cash register drawer, or else it's impossible to lock or unlock it. I recommend supplementing this with some fake toy money if you're trying to teach your child about counting money, but it's still a very high-functioning, fun, and realistic toy that my son really enjoys and plays with a lot.

Dial 'M' for McDonalds
My 4 year old nephew thoroughly enjoyed this toy, the fake fries and money keeping him occupied for hours on end... especially when he picked up the phrase "Would you like fries with that?" How we laughed... until he'd said it 10 times in a row which is when we wondered if we had made the right decision in buying this for the little tyke - especially seeing as he was getting more spotty and developing greasy hair!

All in all, it kept him quiet - so 4 stars for that; 1 star from me though as it made us feel old before our years and suddenly realised that this is what he may be doing in 14 years time...

Durable but age endearing!

cutest order taker
My 2 1/2 year old son LOVES this toy. He knows it is in grandma's toy box and as soon as we go visit, he runs straight for it and puts the head piece on and just waits for us to tell him what we want. It is good for listening and memory as he awaits our order, and there are enough pieces that you never seem to run out of variations when ordering, and then he presents them on the tray which he calls the table. The pieces are all big enough so there is no danger of choking, and the drawer opening and the noise when you run the credit card through just help make it a little more realistic.

A look a like
Me and my cousin, Jamere couldn't wait to get th Mcdonald Cash register. We spend $... for nothing, at first it was cute ,but quickly it became boring. Only neat thing about it was the play food. Usually Jamere and I would agure about who is going to be the cashier, but we sent most of are time aguring about who can be the cook. So don't buy this item, if you want to spend your dayz bored and sitting in front of a Televison all Day. The Barbie and Auto Cash Register are worth a pretty penny, but i'll buy it. ... Read more

great pretend play!
My daughter, 4 at the time, bought this with her own money at Toys R Us and really loves it. She still uses it at 5 1/2. My only three complaints are 1) we got 2 left gloves; 2) the apron is not a soft plastic, so it doesn't fold well or tie easily; 3) since the mop is made with yarn, you can't really mop with it, so I am constantly catching my daughter as she smears lint all over the floor I have just mopped :-) I suppose we could have exchanged the playset for one with two working gloves, but it was not worth the time...she wouldn't have used them anyway.

It is perfect for kids to "help" you clean up, and they love to immitate you and work alongside you. If the mop were made with cotton instead of synthetic yarn, perhaps it would be nicer.

I think this was a good fun purchase, and it is perfect for pretend play.

Not very durable
I got this for my son who loves to help me clean. He loves it, but just like the other reviews, the handles on the mop and broom broke pretty quickly. It has some serious duct tape on it. My son still uses it, but it's just kind of disappointing that it broke so easily.

Brakes, mop yarn falls out all over house
I thought this would be get great for my 3 year old son. So in march he got it as a gift when his brother was born. He is not rough but the handles broke and I was picking up all the mop strings all over the house. He loved it but it all fell apart on him. It broke his heart that he could not sweep or mop. I do admit that even though the brisles on the dust pan brush where to thick and rough to pick up dirt of the floor it worked great for the dog hairs off the floor since he was sheading. ... Good luck if you buy this I highly do not recommend

The broom broke!
Grand niece is a sweeping fool and loved the broom, but it broke after after about 1 hour of play, but we fixed it with duct tape and this set was the only thing she would play with all day, she even had to take the broom home with her.. It's just a hat
Somehow I was expecting a full costume instead of just a hat. Maybe because it appeared along with the other Halloween costume Amazon was selling. The description never said it was just a hat, how about saying "Toddler B-day Cake Hat". Anyway, we still had a little laugh after getting over the fact "it's just a hat."

Talk of the town!
The birthday is the neatest start to a child's special day! The hat is lightweight and fun! My one year old loved the attention she received from family and friends due to the hat! I would definitely recommend it!

BIRTHDAY HAT
Oh my Lord...Please dont buy this hat. I feel sorry for every child that has to be put through the torture of wearing it. It looks so stupid! Its so heavy for the baby, as you can see in the picture that kid is soooo uncomfortable....Tell ya what---YOU wear a stupid hat for your next birthday and tell me how YOU feel! Just cause the baby isnt old enough to tell you to jump off a bridge with that hat shouldnt mean he should have to suffer looking back at pictures of it!

Danger : this product contains carcinogens
There is a small tag attached to the wire of the scanner that reads as follows, Warning: "California Proposition 65." The coated electrical wire of this product contains a substance known to the State of California to be a carcinogen or reproductive toxicant. Wash hands after handling.

Great toy... if it worked and parts didn't break easily
We bought this cash register for my son's fourth birthday. Within 5 minutes of playing with it, the display on the cash register didn't work. I exchanged the cash register. When we got the second one, the credit card scanner piece broke off and again the display on the cash register didn't work. This toy was very disappointing.

"Would you like paper or plastic today?"

Very Cute, and Good Quality
This is very nice doll furniture.
