Fun & portable - great entertainment value
I just bought this for my neice who is 5 years old. She loved it and put on plenty of puppet shows with it during my week-long visit. This puppet theater easily collapses, is light weight and has a handle so that a youngster can easily carry it to Grandma's house (which my niece did) for an impromptu show. It can easiliy be set up on coffee or kitchen tables and is made of a soft material so you don't have to worry about scratches. My neice and her audience where thrilled with the curtains which easily pull back at showtime and impressed with the materials and portablilty of this playhouse.

Despite all it's upsides and entainment value, I wish that this product came with a better "case" and/or a more stable base. Unfortunately, my niece often packed it back up in the cardboard box it came in (with the handle sticking out so that is easy to carry); however, I'm not sure how long this is going to last. Without the cardboard box, the base might unfold which might cause some inconvenience when carrying it. The instability of the base did cause this stage to collapse a couple times during one of my neice's shows -- my niece put a book on the base to prevent many of these collapses, but it still was unstable. Other than the base and case, this is a very well made product with rich materials.

Most importantly, if you do buy this product as a gift, don't forget to buy royal puppets! I bought 10 high quality animal puppets on ebay for $16. My neice loved the puppets since she's an animal fan, but she did immediately ask if there was a king and queen in the box anywhere. Oh well, I guess I know what to buy her for Christmas. ... Misleading description.....
The item description mentions something about the King being on your hand. Its more like the King in front of your hand. This is a finger puppet and about all you can make him do is clap. A very nicely dressed finger puppet...I must admit. There are concealed openings at the back of each of the King's arms to insert fingers and one in the back of his head to fit a fingertip. He is best used as a pretend doll. If you're looking for an actual hand puppet... you will be dissapointed. ... Read more
