Editorial Review

The three-wheel Preschool Scooter is a good solution for toddlers who, watching older siblings, have contracted a bad case of scooter envy. In front, two 4-inch urethane wheels are placed eight inches apart for stability; at theback, there's a 3-inch wheel and a "spoon" brake just like on those metal "bigkid" scooters. This vehicle is mostly plastic, but sturdy enough for the job, with comfortable foam grips. A cleverly designed "lean-and-steer" mechanism atthe front axle makes it significantly easier to control than some three- orfour-wheel toddler scooters. This one resists the tendency to tip over whengoing around corners. --Richard Farr ... Read more

BEST SCOOTER!!!
I bought this scooter for my 3 year old son 3 years ago and it is still the most popular scooter in our neighborhood! All the kids, ages 2 to 9 like to ride it. It is much easier to ride with the two wheels in the front. It is an excellent first scooter and I highly recommend it!

I completely recommend this toy!
We purchased this scooter a couple of months ago for our 2-year old (he will be 3 in August), and after his 2nd try, he was zipping, executing turns and stops all around our cul-de-sac, just like his 10-, 11- and 12-year old siblings on their "big kid" scooters! I was amazed! This is the ONLY scooter I found anywhere with the 2 wheels in the front, instead of in the rear, and it has made a tremendous difference. Educational value comes from the fact that it has improved his large motor skills, coordination and self-confidence! I read the earlier review where someone had problems with the durability of theirs, but we have had no problems at all, and he gets pretty rough with it, at times.

The best preschool scooter around
My 4 year old son has been using this scooter since he was
2 years old. He has had a great time with this scooter. It
really turns well and is very stable for young riders. Most
preschool scooters have the two wheels in the back but this
scooter has the two wheels in the front making it easier
for the young rider to scoot. My little guy can keep up
with his older friends when they are on their two
wheel scooters. This scooter provides a smooth ride and
is very durable. This is the best preschool scooter around.

We love it!!
My son got this scooter for Christmas at age 2 1/2. Right away he had no trouble balancing and quickly learned to turn. We had tested other "little kid" scooters with the 2 wheels in the back and they were much harder to balance. He loves this and rides it every chance he gets, he has learned how to control it very well which is why I gave it 3 stars for educational value. I would have given it 5 stars for durabilty, but he has 2 big brothers that also want to ride it. When the kids over 50 pounds get on it, I can see the wheels bow, so they are not supposed to ride it.

Great toy!!
My two year old received this for Christmas. We just got it out since it is just warming up(April)and he loves it!! I never would have thought he would be able to ride it as well as he does. Very fun and a great introduction to a real scooter. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Radio Flyer’s Pathfinder is the SUV of little red wagons, sporting a rugged plastic body and offering tikes a luxurious amount of towing or riding space. The wagon’s convertible seats fold down for maximum storage capacity and then flip up to comfortably accommodate two children. Webbed seatbelts ensure that children don’t bounce out when riding over rough terrain. The Pathfinder’s interior also has four built-in drink holders to keep sippy cups and juice boxes secure during the ride. The extra-long handle has a large, loop grip that even kids can control and that folds under the wagon for more compact storage. Like all Radio Flyer wagons, this one has heavy axles to handle a lot of weight, heavy-duty casters for making tight turns without tipping, and durable rubber tires that provide a soft, quiet ride. The Pathfinder measures 39-1/4 inches long, 19 inches wide, and 16-1/2 inches tall. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars #1 Wagon
My parents bought this for my son last year for Christmas. We searched and searched for the right wagon for two toddlers. After receiving this one I would recommend no other. The heavy duty RUBBER wheels (not plastic)are great on any surface. We have a huge property and it's great to go to the garden, to the beach, and for walks. The seatbelts are a must with little ones and I don't know what I would do without them!!! This item is a must have for children and parents alike!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Wagon Out There
This wagon is great! My 22 month old and 8 month old love it! There are seat belts so we can go across busy roads without anyone escaping! The wheels roll beautifully and the cup holders are perfect. I would recommend this wagon to anyone looking at all the different ones out there! My older son can pull my younger son (with supervision of course) and feel like a big boy. The wagon is sturdy and smooth so there is no worry about the little one!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Wagon
We bought this wagon for my son for christmas last year and he was only 4 months old. Once he learned to sit well on his own we would take him for walks in it and when it was time to go inside he would cry. He absoulty loves it. Very easy to put together and wheels turn great. Easy to pull. Highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars The BEST Wagon!!
I just bought this for my grandson and it is AWESOME! Like one mom said the seatbelts are wonderful - I have not seen another wagon with seatbelts and being 11 months old and learning to walk he is always standing up! Now I don't have to keep turning around to check on him. Everything about this wagon is perfect - the handle is long enough to pull without having to bend over; the wheels make pulling SO easy (one review said they had problems with the wheels getting stuck- not me!) and we go off road adventuring too!! - neat cupholders for his bottle - cool storage compartment for all his neat little finds along the way - WE LOVE IT! You have to go get one - you will not be sorry! It is the best investment yet as far as toys are concerned. THANK YOU RADIO FLYER!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Wagon Ever!
I was searching for the perfect wagon for my daughter's 2nd Birthday. We decided to purchase this one. I love the fact that it has rubber wheels for a quiet ride. I also love the fact that the seats fold down to make a flat surface. That made it great for towing all of our gear into the zoo, such as our coolers, bags, etc., and then when my daughter fell alseep we layed a blanket on top and it was a perfect place for her to rest. While she enjoyed her ride in the wagon, we were able to strap her in with the seatbelts so she wouldn't try getting out while pulling the wagon. Great price for a great wagon! ... Read more

If you grew up with a Radio Flyer wagon but lost it along the way, here's your chance to own abrand new one. The body and sides are made of finished wood. Painted bright red, the stake sides simplylift out, leaving you with a natural-finish flatbed. Steel wheels with big, inflatable pneumatic tires rolleasily on pavement or rough terrain. At 33.5 inches, the extra-long handle makes turning easy. The wagonbed is 36 inches long, 15 inches wide, 9 inches high, and 21 inches from the ground to the top of thewagon. The durable-tread rubber tires are 10.5 inches in diameter and 3 inches wide. If you're lucky, yourchild might let you borrow this wonderful wagon. --Louise Carter ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very satisfied
This wagon was my second pick, but has ended up being my first choice! The wooden wagon bed stays cool even in the hot summer sun (unlike a metal bed), and the tall wooden sides keep "exploring" babies in their proper place. My son loves riding around in this wagon, and it has room enough for all of his favorite toys too. Walks are smooth and quiet (no rattling parts) and the large tires really make this wagon a pleasure to pull.

Great Wagon for Growing Families
We bought this wagon when we found out that we were expecting our third child. Since our oldest had just turned 2 when we found out about baby 3, we figured that we needed a way that we could safely transport three small children to and from the park, around the zoo, etc.

This wagon has been great. We've brought it to the zoo lots of times, and it fits right into the back of the minivan once you remove the siderails. The kids absolutely love to ride in it, and are looking forward to getting the cooler and the wagon trailer.

Wagon Canopy
... It looks like it cames from the horse and buggie era LOL but it covers the entire wagon definately worth it. I love this wagon but i am some what worried about the paint flaking off as i have read, but will make sure to cover the paint with car wax as told on the radio flyer site. We love this radio flyer! Its big you can fit everything in it!

Great #29 Wagon
I can't say enough good things about this wagon, but I also wanted comment on finding the correct wagon pad that will fit it. The pad sold through this site does not fit. You need to find the pad made specifically for Radio Flyer model #29, which I easily located through other online merchants. It is worth the effort to get the pad as it seems to make the ride much more comfortable and makes the wagon a good napping locale too.

GREAT GREAT GREAT
My daughter just turned 1. She got this as a present and loves it. It is a smooth ride on all types of terrain. We go to the park, the beach and around the block. There is plenty of room for all the extra stuff you want to take along. There is even enough room for a friend and their stuff too. I would recommend this wagon over the steel one to anyone. It is a quiet ride and there is no chance of rust since it is made of wood. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Many of the Features of the Costlier Versions
I purchased the Supertrike 4 after seeing the top-of-the-line Kiddio trikes at the mall. I was impressd by the features, but the cost was a little high. I am very happy with the combination of features and value offered by the Supertrike 4. The seat, inflatable rubber tires, "dump truck" bed, and hand brake are identical to the higher end Kiddio trikes. The design is not as "tank-like", but it looks to me that the Super Trike 4 is very strong, and actually will be a bit lighter than the higher end versions. The grey/blue/yellow color scheme is a little less vibrant.

I was also happy that the push bar comes included with the price of the trike, not as a separate purchase. The bar works well. My daughter is a tall 2 1/2 year old, and in the shortest seat position (there are two), the trike is just a bit too long, so there is plenty of room to grow. The rubber tires are smooth and quiet on my driveway, and I even pushed her around the grass. The steering is limited so the front tire can't rotate too much and cause a tip hazard. The trike seems very stable. Unlike the more expensive versions, the front wheel cannot free wheel, so your child always has to pedal, or take their feet off the pedals.

Tools are provided for assembly, which took me about 45 minutes. The directions are fairly clear. Hopefully this will save people some time: The seat has a 3-point safety harness, and the procedure is to screw the harness to the seat. The assembly instructions show holes in the harness straps and seat. They don't exist. Little indents in the plastic seats indicate where you should put the screws. It turns out you can just screw right through the nylon strap with no problem, so you don't need the holes in the strap. The plastic of the seat gives and then forms a tight fit with the screw. So you don't need the holes there either. It took me a few minutes to stop looking for the holes and just try it.

Overall my daughter seems very happy with the Supertrike 4, it seems well-built, and I am happy with the features for the price.

Don't worry
I'm not calling anyone a liar or anything but I have this trike and it is next to freaking impossible to "get your foot stuck between the pedal and the wheel". Also you have to be an idiot to not be able to put this thing together. The trike ships in basically four pieces. With a ratchet you can put it together in 15 minutes no problem. Best value of all the Kettler trikes. Inflatable tires a huge difference. If you need the coaster wheel pay double to get a "real" Kettler model. Other than that this one is close to perfect

disappointed
I was in the market for a tricycle for my daughter's 2nd b-day.
I was going to buy a Radio Flyer, but the one I was looking at got bad reviews. So I found this Kiddio, had wonderful reviews!
Bought it, received it, put it together by myself (2 hrs). It was by far the hardest thing I ever put together!:( Next bike I buy will already be operational!! that's for sure!!
When my daughter and I tested it out, she was steering, so I COULDN'T!!! Not Good!! and we all of a sudden came to a dead stop, her foot was stuck between the wheel and pedal!! She wasn't hurt.:)
!!!!VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

great bike for my son who has autism
We were looking for a bike for my younger son as he wanted to get on his elder brothers bike, so we thought he is ready for a bike and took him to toysrus there he just went and sat on this bike, and ever since we bought it home he loves it very much, he gets on the bike and asks me to take him out for ride in the evenings, this is a good sized one as my son is 2and1/2yr old is 42in and weighs around 38lbs, and as i said he is diagonised with ASD(autism spectrum disorder) so he wont stay in one place and wants to wander all around, but the belt on the bike helps him to stay in seat.
The only thing i didnt get is how to use the brakes on the bike other wise its really good one though bit pricey.

Great bike!
We just bought this bike for our two year-old. He was aprehensive about the pedals at first, but now he says "wheeee" as his feet go around and around. He's a little short at this time, but he will grow into it. I love the handle as it is easy to push and steer. It was worth the money. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!!!
We bought this for my 3 year old's birthday in December. He spent all winter riding it around the house! He absolutely loved it the minute he saw it, would go to it first thing in the morning, and ride it all day!! When spring came we took it outside hoping he would still love it as much. Well, he still drives it everyday!! He pretends it's a garbage truck, a newspaper delivery car, of course a loader..... It just goes on and on...I never know what he will pretend to do on this ride on!!!! I LOVE that he is getting excerise while "driving" it, too! He has battery powered cars, but prefers this one! How cool is that?!! As I remember, it was a little difficult to put together. The directions were not that great. I still had to give it 5 stars because it has held up great! My son absolutely LOVES it! It gets used EVERY day! He is getting excercise and using his imagination!!! What more could you want in a toy!!??!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy.
M 2 year old son loves this tractor. After his cousin got one for his birthday. He cried and cried for his own. His grandparents bought it for him and we can not get him off of it. He loves to pedal (actually ) he likes to pedal then riding his battery operated vehicles. The only thing is that he likes to get our gravel and dump it on the driveway so we have to clean this up but other than that it is great. I was really worried after reading some of the reviews that it would not hold up or be a piece of junk but it is just the opposite. It is wonderful

5-0 out of 5 stars Eee gads! Are the other reviewers kidding me?
We bought this for our 3-year old after reading all the praises. I'll tell you what-- the hype, in my opinion, is ridiculous. Besdies null customer service from Peg Perego, here are my points:

> The instructions are absolutley the worst. Here's an example:
8) Remove the tape <---what tape???
9) Insert a retainer in the special device. <---What is a "special device"?? What retainer? No figures to help.
10) Insert the plugs in the handle bar <-- there are no plugs!

And it goes on and on like this. Even Toys 'R Us warned me about the instructions. I'm a pretty handy guy, so I was able to get it assembled (except for a stripped screw) in an hour. If you're not very handy or confident improvising, have Toys'RUs do it for you.

> Next, the hardware (such as screws) seem to be made of very soft metal. That means stripping during assembly and during use.

> Our boy is an aggressive digger (but not a rough kid). After one hour, the handle and retainer snap and wobble, and the steering wheel is stripped and wobbling.

This product is okay if your child is content just pedalling around, but try to pick anything up or use it like a tractor, and you'll find very quickly that most of the price of the unit does not seem to go into quality, but likely goes to John Deere for the licensing fee!

Ours goes back to Toys'R us.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great outdoor toy, but beware of plastic parts!
This loader tractor was given as a Christmas gift to my son when he was 2 1/2. He has loved it to pieces! Back then we were stuggling to find a peddle toy that he could sit on the seat and reach the peddeles. The that summer he was 36" tall and it was easy for him to peddel. The chain drive allowed him to move at a good walking pace for his mother so that summer we put miles on this bike.
That being said, I must caution readers that this bike is all plastic except the chain drive and the screws that hold it together. The ROPS bar is for show. The fenders can not take weight. The loader is not for hauling heavy things.
We have had durablity problems with this toy. My son rides it hard but I'd say the problems stem from plastic-to-plastic connections having too much flex and eventutally the screw or bolt falls out. The seat keeps coming off. And ours has not been a loader tractor for quite sometime as the end clamp fell off that and we've not replaced it. Lastly the tires are plastic too. Our rear tires have holes in them because of hard use.
Finally, My brother said it was an adverture to assemble and he is very handy.

Overall, I recommed this tractor. Its not too offen you can say your child wore a toy out! All that peddeling, uphill and downhill over and arround has been quite a benifit, too.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great toy for a boy
My 3-year old son is absolutely happy riding this tractor on the playground. I didn't install the loader for safety reasons / maneuverability (the playground is crowded, and it's hard to steer the tractor precisely with the loader attached). One strange feature of this tractor (which appears to be shared by other ride-on toys and carts for some unexplained reason) is that only ONE rear wheel is connected to the chain transmission. The other three wheels are free-spinning, so this is essentially a "one-wheel drive". Sales reps. at Toys R Us were clueless as to the strange design, so it remains a mystery. Nevertheless, the traction of the left rear wheel (the driving one) has so far been sufficient; no skidding. Pedal-drivennes of this tractor is one good feature I want to mention; besides giving the kid an exercise, it eliminates the pain of having to recharge the battery after a day's drive and wait for another day till the toy can be used again. ... Got Our Son Walking EARLY.
Love this.. got it as a gift and it was great. My son started pushing it around at about 8 months.. just a little at a time and by 10 1/2 months was walking on his own. He still loves this wagon, he puts his toys in it and then takes them out, and now he likes to climb into it (much to our dismay of course) Some of the reviewers said it wasn't great bc the wheels don't turn but a beginning walker doesn't need that really. This wagon is great bc it is heavy and really helps with balance, they will plow over anything in their way!

Sturdy little walker...
I wish we had gotten this little wagon/walker. We bought a plastic Fisher Price walker and my son obviously senses it's lack of mass. Our friends bring this Radio Flyer walker to the park and my son (11 months) pushes it around. Even though the wheels don't adjust, it's sturdy enough that he can put some weight on it without it flying out from under him. It's a winner.

High quality, but a little hard to maneuver
PROS:
- high-quality, sturdy construction
- wooden "sides" are removable, for more versatility
- great for learning walkers (wheels offer slight resistance)
- good for indoor or outdoor play
- little ones can sit in it, if one or two sides are removed
- easy to keep it moving in a straight line

CONS:
- a little hard to maneuver around turns (none of the wheels "turn" to the left or right) ... Read more

Love it!
This was a gift from my inlaws for my 1 1/2 year old son at Christmas. We had bought a similar sized plastic trike made by another company for Christmas. My son rode both and ended up riding the Radio Flyer almost exclusively. The other trike sat there for a few months. Occassionaly, my son would get on the plastic one, ride for a few seconds, and then get on the Radio Flyer. I finally put the plastic trike in the closet. Once, when he was too rough on the trike, the little red retaining hub popped off and he couldn't ride it. I couldn't find the hub so I retrieved the plastic trike from the closet for him to use and began looking for the missing piece. After a week, I found the piece and reattached it with a good whack with a mallet. When I showed the repaired bike to my son he went over to the plastic one (he is now 2), grabbed the handle bars, said "Here," and got on the Radio Flyer. He loves to ride it around the house and on the back porch and side walk. The wheels roll more easily over a variety of surfaces, the seat is fairly comfortable, and it is very light weight. We love this product! ... Read more

fun but should take out lock and wear shoes
My 2 year old was so excited to get on this big toy and the thrill is still lasting. There is a review in here that gives very simple instructions to make this toy playable. The arm locks and is difficult even for adults to unlock however It is so simple to fix this it is well worth the effort. If I did not read that review and did not know how to unlock arm I would not like the toy much and it would frusterate kids. So take my advice find that review on how to disable thr red lock mechanism and it is a great toy. The process takes all of four minutes. Enjoy

Great Indoor toy but...
My son absolutely loved it when he got it as a gift. He hopped right on it. It comes with sounds and the two stage bucket is also a cool feature and it comes with a little hard hat.

To operate the bucket the child has to twist the handle bars. I found this a little bit of a task as an adult and he didn't seem to have the strengh at 2 years old to get the bucket to release. We took it outside and as soon as he got sand int he moving parts it is no impossible to move the arm. He also wants to wear the hard hat but the adjustable strp will not stay fastened.

As for driving it. He seemed to take right to it. The child must pick it up a bit to steer and he figured that part out. The top swivles and the track that it rides on goes straight. Soemtimes when he rides it in the house he gets the track caught on the coffeee table or other furniture.

It's a fun toy but I wouldn't go out and buy another if I had to.

Reality Check
Let's face it. You don't have the kind of money to send Junior to college, so why not prep him for his future career with this durable, educational toy from Friendly Toys? After a quick crash course in excavating, your son will be digging up the flower bed in no time. The included helmet is handy to protect Junior from falling debris as he gains valuable experience for the real world.

PRICE
This toy is priced higher than sensation beginnings... they offer the pushbar included with the overall purchase.

Has the old standard Radio Flyer been replaced????????
This trike not only is the best looking trike I have ever seen - it is the sturdiest!! And the features of this trike like the air tires and the ease of the seat adjustment is out standing!! True - you will pay three times as much for this trike over the Radio Flyer, but this trike won't rust up as fast and will last a life time longer than the Flyer. It is just the best trike you can own!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars BIG & SMOOTH
My 2yr old and 3 1/2 yr old love this trike! It well built and will last many years. The expandable frame will allow them many growing years of fun! My 3 1/2 yr old saids its heaver than his Kalypso trike but rides very smooth and he like the fact it can go backwards very easy. We let them ride on your deck and also in the house (only in a few areas). This trike rides over the deck without hardly making a sound and goes on carpet very easily. The 2 yr old loves the big seat and the way the pedals don't have to turn (free wheel action of the front tire) when she is being pushed around in it. They really love to take turns using our 2 trikes and this trike glides way better than any plastic wheel trike. The 3 1/2 year old saids this trike stays at our house forever and ever. And that saids it all! ... Read more

!!!!!!TOY OF THE YEAR FOR OUR HOUSE!!!!!!!
I had shopped for a wagon and done all my home on every single one out there. I really wanted one that would fit my three girls 2, 4, and 5. Discovery Wagon by Radio Flyer is great. It has the no-tilt steering, and the storage compartment that fits anything you need. The removable sides are great for my young girls for easy in and out. I am a very picky shopper but this wagon is everything and more. Fits in my van with no problem. Removable sides make it so easy to tuck it away. We use this wagon for zoos, walks to the park, carnivals, or just for the kids to play around with. I highly recomend this wagon as Radio Flyer has a great reputation.

Great Wagon!!!
This is a really great wagon. We shopped around quite a bit before buying and this was our favorite! It is much quieter than the ones with plastic wheels and is easy to steer both on pavement and the grass. I would highly recommend this one.

Most expensive Plastic I¿ve ever bought
I bought this after reading many good reviews by customers (last time I listen to them). It is a very attractive looking wagon, easy to put together. However I was quite disappointed by the construction. The moving parts are made of either by plastic to plastic or plastic to metal contacts. Therefore, these parts will wear out fast. It is a good wagon, not worth [the price]. (...)

What a bargain!
I purchased this wagon as a Christmas (2003)gift for my then 15 month old granddaughter. We filled it with toys and put it under the tree for her. It was the best thing I ever bought for her - worth ever penny. She has enjoyed it so much. Now that spring is here we have enjoyed our outdoor time as well. She loves being pulled in it or climbing in and out and pulling it herself. We live at the beach so I can see it is going to come in very handy this summer. I would HIGHLY recommend this product. I can already see that it will be used for years to come.

check the size dimensions first
One thing you should keep in mind before buying a wagon like this one is the dimensions. It's huge, basically as large as a whole bath tub.

It maybe isn't the best size for pulling around a baby under a year old, and of course it isn't small enough for a baby to push around him or herself after learning to walk. It really is meant for carting around toddlers only. ... Read more

If you cross a red car with a plastic boat and combine the result withone of those big Victorian baby carriages, you get this entirely novel mode oftot transportation. This little car--32 inches long by 18 inches wide, andriding on 7-inch plastic wheels--has an integral plastic seat 9 inches off theground and can be powered by two little feet through the hole in the floor.Alternatively, raise the bandshell-style yellow nylon hood and push yourpreschooler around using the 38-inch-high metal handle that sticks up frombehind. The "cockpit" is fully equipped with steering wheel, beeping "horn," anignition key that turns, a gear shift, and various battery-powered soundeffects. Adult assembly is required. --Richard Farr ... Love!
My daughter got this on her 1st. birthday.
We both love it, and we get alot of attention and smiles as we walk around the neighborhood.
It steers nicely, like the canopy on the sunny days.
Nice buy, you'll get a big, "WWWWOOOOOOOOWWWW!!!"

Seatbelt suggestion.......
My son received this car as a first birthday present from his grandparents. It's adorable, and is a great alternative to the traditional Cozy Coupe, which is a little too big for younger toddlers. He loves the sounds, the steering wheel, and likes to pull the canopy top up. The car is narrow enough to drive all over our small ranch home -- it goes through doorways and our baby gate very well. As a taller mommy, I appreciated that the handle on the back can be height adjusted (three or four height settings, I'm not sure which)-- it makes pushing the toy much easier when you don't have to hunch over to do it!
The only concern I have about this car is the lack of a seatbelt. My son attempted to stand up and nearly fell out of the car (thankfully on carpet). Before I dared take him outside in the car, I knew that something had to be done to secure him into the seat. Not wanting to damage the toy too severely, I surfed the Little Tikes website for some kind of replacement seat belt that I could adapt for use with this toy. There is a replacement belt for the "toddler high back swing" available for just a few dollars. After a trip to Toys R Us to confirm that the belt could actually work on the Cozy Convertible, I order the belt (and a spare). I drilled two small slats on either side of the seat, carefully removed the uneven edges with a utility knife, and PRESTO! installed the seat belt. Because the belt is the type that doesn't have to loop all of the way around the back, it was very easy to install, and it looks just like it was always meant to be there. (The advantage of buying the Little Tikes belt is that it's yellow and blue, just like the trim on the car). I probably won't remove the belt later...maybe we can use it as a seat belt safety lesson ("Don't ride in the car unless your belt is fastened").
My son can now enjoy his "car rides" and mommy can enjoy them too, now that I know my little daredevil is securely fastened. Overall, this is a great toy for little ones.

MUST BE SOMETHING BETTER?!!!
We purchased the convertable car for our 2 year old and decided to put it together a little earlier than his upcomming birthday. Good for us! The first wheel we inserted was defective (was not able to secure to toy). The car wobbled as it moved. No seatbelt was another surprise. The plastic wheels are noisy, and damaged imediatly after riding over rocks (the rocks stick to the plastic; making for a much shorter life of the tire) The cute convertable shield is a HUGE blind spot for parents pushing the car. Dangerous. Should be a plastic mirror in the front for better safety. So many improvements are needed for this. Too bad. It was a cute looking little car. We're returning it for a rubber-wheeled wagon.

Missing a seat belt
I recently purchased a Deluxe Cozy Convertible™ Car for my son and was surprised to find it did not have a seat belt. I didn't think this would be a big issue because he seemed to love it and all of the bells and whistles kept him busy. He loved it and so did all of the neighborhood kids. During our fourth walk, he started fussing. The top was up so I couldn't see him. Before I could look in to check him, I ran over the yellow bottom of the car. He was gripping the inside with his hands and feet. His butt was on the sidewalk. I can't imagine what could have happened if he wasn't hanging on for dear life. I don't know if the bottom was in right at the start of our walk, but a seat belt probably would have helped. Since our accident, I have tied a rope from one side to the other in the car and he still loves to ride in it. It is a good toy. It just needs a seat belt. He is also at the stage where he tries to climb out if he sits still for too long. If this has happened to anyone else, please e-mail Little Tikes. Honestly, this would be a perfect car if it had a seat belt.

Baby loves it--but needs a seatbelt!
My 13 1/2 month old received this for his 1st birthday abd absolutely loves being pushed around in it. The car is absolutely adorable, it is quite durable as I have taken it several times on a 3-mile walk with the baby and he has a constant smile being driven around in it.

My only concern about the vehicle is that it does not have a seat belt thus sometimes the baby leans over to touch the wheels of the car when in motion which can make any parent nervous, thus you have to stop until he sits back up, etc. ... Read more

misunderstood toy; great when you follow the directions
It is funny to see one parent saying that her 1 year old's feet can't touch the "petals" (smirk) when the intended age is 18 months and up. Another funny thing is to see how many parents say the "parental" handle doesn't lock in place--I got news for you it does!! All you have to do is put the yellow pin which locks the handle in place in "rocker" mode behind the handle when it is in "parent" mode. Our two year old loves this and enjoys rocking, riding, and pushing the parent handle. He hasn't quite caught on using the pedals because his feet get in the way but hey, that's what two year olds do. :) I see this as a long term learning toy to help our son transition to a bike later on. It was a very smart purchase. Lots of stores have them to try out--go decide for yourself.

great toy
i just bought this for my 2 year old daughter and she loves it. wherever we go this toy has to come. It has a place for little ones who are not quite big enough to ride on there own to put there feet up while mommy pushes them around, and while we are at home she loves the rocker. This is a great toy.

Great for Grandma's House as they will get years of use
We have three of these as each of my boys received one for their first birthday and I think they are great. The only problem is I wish they were all at the same house - two are by their Grandparents 3000 miles away while my three fight over the one we have at home. Makes we want to go buy one or two more. My six year old still loves to ride it even though he has moved onto a big boy bike because he can really zoom around the corners without getting nervous. The little foot rest doesn't do much but not a huge problem. Found that it worked best in the rocking mode when off the carpet. The handle is great as not only am I able to push them but they push each other. It really manuvers well. My almost 2 year old tries to pedal it but is not quite big enough so he just zooms around with foot power. All in all a great toy that after 5 years of constant use shows no signs of "decay" - how many toys can you say that about?

Fun fo Less the Price
I wanted to buy my daugther a more expensive Trike, but my husband I could not see paying over 80 dollars for a Trike she would outgrow. So we bought this trike and boy I'm glad we did. Our daughter likes the fact there is a foot rest since she is too young to petal and we love the stearing rod even though it is some times tough to use....but I'm still getting use to it. We also like the fact if we have another child it can turn into a rocker. Plus it is very durable. We have rolled it in grass, concrete, sand, etc... and the wheels are in like new condition along with all the other parts. Very Happy with this product!

WONDERFUL FIRST TRIKE!!!
We never used this as a rocker, my son, now almost 2 got this last Xmas, and LOVES it! Only downfall, my son zooms around the carport on it, and it tips frequently, so just be close to catch if it falls~ A great first trike~ ... Read more

When it's time to go outside for a bit of fresh air and exercise, the Push Around Buggy from Step2 is ready to roll. Just slip baby in the generous molded seat, hook up the seat belt, grab the handle, and go! While you actually steer, baby can pretend to drive (and can even start the fun with a nifty ignition key). When there's an obstacle in the way or a friend passing by, baby can honk the horn. The buggy rolls smoothly and surely on four oversize poly wheels. A small trunk in the front can hold a few travel items. Both durable and fun, this sweet red and blue Push Around Buggy is a winner. The best gift we ever recieved
We recieved this car as a gift in 2000 for my daughters 1st birthday. This car is still one of her favorite things in the world. We use it to take walks around the neighborhood, and now my 11 month old fights with my 4 year old daughter to see who gets to ride in it. It is very durable and has withstood the beating from my three kids!!!!! I would highly recommend this toy for anyone with children.

5-0 out of 5 stars Step2 a step ahead
I purchased the push around buggy for my grandson's first birthday. He loves it and we take it every where we go. It was easy to assemble and worth every penny. Complete satisfaction...

2-0 out of 5 stars cute but doesn't turn
this is a great push buggy if it only turned....you can go straight forward and straight backwards, if you want to turn a corner you have to lift it. We exchanged ours for the Little Tikes version and we (mommy and daddy- the pushers, and baby) all love it.

2-0 out of 5 stars Better than a Stroller!!!!!
We bought this car for our little grandson at 10 months old as he loves to be outside and we walk him to the park each day and see the ducks at the lake. He loves this car and gets all excited and says vroom, vroom when we open the garage as he knows he is getting into his car! He makes his own car sounds all the way to the park and just loves it! We also take it to the Mall and he is so happy riding in it that it makes shopping so much nicer! Even Mommy & Daddy borrow it to go shopping in now as he is so happy in it. We also bring it inside to play with and he loves opening the trunk and putting little things in and taking them out and he pushes it around. This has been the best toy we have purchsed for him and he will be 1 yr old next week and this is still a big hit with him and fun to push him around in! We recommend this toy to everyone. It is fun, safe and very durable!

4-0 out of 5 stars GREAT!
My son got this when he was 10 months old. He loved it then and 12 months later he still loves it. He likes to turn the wheel and beep the horn. I have a bad back and this push along is great. The handle is at a great height. The hood is a great place to put a snack or cup for longer walks. It is very durable. He have used it almost everyday and have had no problems. Great little buggy!
this car is the best purchase I have bought for my daughter as of yet! She absolutely loves to sit in and "drive". I bought it for her when she was able to sit up sturdily at 6 months. Its a good thing to have when you just want to take them for a quick walk to the park, it even has storage under the hood! as for the road noise, i havent even noticed it, once i did its not much louder than the typical big wheel we all had as kids.
this is a bargain for the price.....she loves it, thats all that matters, it makes her smile and giggle and thats all mommy needs!

Wonderful toy!
My daughter is 9 months old now, I bought her this when she was sitting up sturdily and she absolutely loves this car! She loves to take her walk in her car so she can drive :) And she looks so cute in it too! The only problem is rounding corners you have to pick up the front a bit to turn sometimes but all in all its a great purchase.. I even use it to put her in while Im preparing dinner so she can go for a drive while Im busy! It works and she loves it!

Loving it!!!
I have 2 daughters one is 2 and the other is 8 months. My 8 month old absolutley loves this car. Both of my girls liked going for walks with it. We bought it for my older daughter after she was 1, which may have been a little late for her to get to really enjoy it, but we started to put our little one in it as soon as she could sit up & she loves it ever time she is in it. We enjoyed it so much we purchased it as a gift for our friends and they love it to. We take it everywhere even camping. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!

Great little Buggy! Awesome Mother's helper!!
I bought this car for my daughter when she was 8 months old and she loves it. It is great when I walk to the bus stop with my kids and they like to push her in it as well. The front hood opens for storage which is great for carrying along bottles, diapers, toys & any other gear you may need. It has even encouraged me to get out and walk more too. I would highly recommend this toy to any parent of an infant or toddler.

Buggy is just the right speed!
We bought this for our 18 month old at Christmas. Now that spring is here we really get alot of use out of it. I feel the seat belt is a great featue, and the foot rest area makes it easy to push her around without worrying about her feet dragging. It's the perfect size, and we can keep up with her big sister on her bike! I like this better than the cars the kids push themselves, and it is great before they can petal a bike. Excellent for 1 and 2 year olds. We are buying one for our neice soon! ... Read more

This sturdy plastic car gives toddlers and young preschoolers the basic thrills of a real car, while parents can relax, knowing that this cherry-red sports car can go only as fast as their kids' little feet can carry them. Children sit on a bench-style driver's seat and poke their legs through to the ground. When they start walking, the car begins to scoot. The front wheels swirl like stroller wheels, making them especially responsive to the steering wheel. The front dash features a pretend key with a Little Tikes key chain and a horn button that beeps when pushed. A small storage bin in back can carry traveling gear or simply a stash of road snacks. Great gift for your little one
My daughter received this for her 1st birthday. Even though she was too little to make the car 'go', she spent hours opening/shutting the door and climbing in and out. Now at 19 months it's still the first thing she runs to when we go outside. She loves pushing it around the yard and going backwards by herself. She hasn't mastered the frontward motion yet, but she doesn't notice. Definitely worth the money.

This is 'THE' toy!!
My son got this car as a gift for his first birthday. It took him a few months to get into it. But, since he was about 14-15 months this is THE toy! He LOVES it, and all the kids fight over it when they visit! When the Wiggles are on and they sing the Big Red Car song, my 19 month old runs to his car, and gets his keys and pretends to drive! He loves when we "drive" him around the house. The only thing that would make this a better car is a seat belt. Not only is he fascinated with seat belts now, but it would have been safer when he was a bit younger.

Not Much Like A Real Car
I appreciate toys that my son can learn from, but I have concerns. First off, the safety features are horrible. Hard plastic. Perhaps an airbag might save a few bruises when my son slams into the recliner. There is also no brakes, making it impossible to stop. This is especially important when you live in the South as I do, where everything is on a slope. My son has often rolled down the driveway into the road. Many close calls with this one!

However, it's fun for him, it seems. There are no real world dangers involved with driving this around. Because younger children are colorblind, it doesn't matter what color it is, but I would appreciate, at least for my eyes' asthetic taste, that it would look sleeker, maybe a silver or black. Whenever I invite guests over, I have to put it out in the garage.

Other than that, it's a very good product!

Lil Tykes ROCKS again!
I am addicted to the lil tykes name. This is another hit in our home. It is sturdy and sun! My daughter got this for her 2nd birthday. She LOVES cars and was excited when she saw it.

It has been tumped over on its side and used as a stool, slid all over the house. It withstands EVERYTHING my daughter dishes out!
The extra compartment behind the seat is perfect for a sippy cup as well. But BEWARE only one child fits in this awsome Lil Tykes car!

This is the perfect set of wheels for the 3-year-old who wantsto trade up from plastic ride-ons, but isn't ready for the perils of areal bike. It features a sensible bucket seat with a grab handle on theback--but the standout feature is grippy, extra-wide tires. (The backones are over 3 inches wide, and their outer edges are more than 19inches apart.) Great price for a great tricycle!
I read all of the other reviews before I purchased the Supertrike for my 3 year old son. It is sturdier than I expected. It looks good and my son loves it. An excellent choice for a first trike.

Excellent tricycle for a beginner
This is the second tricycle that I have bought so that my two nephews will no longer fight about who gets to ride. The construction is very sturdy and durable. The handle bars are strong and directly attached to the wheel making it unlikely to move unlike other tricycle handles which are just bolted on to the mainframe.
The bucket seat allows the child to push with their backs and legs to pedal with more ease than a regular up-down motion that many 2-3 year olds cannot do. The wider wheel base as well a wider frame at the back 2 wheels provide a stronger center of gravity making this tricycle less likely to tip over with sharp turns. As a medical professional who deals with the pediatric population, I would highly recommend this tricycle for all first timers.

Was all I hoped for and more
I drove to toysRus to see one and they did not have any. So I ordered it and it arrived on time. I took this to Russia for a friend's little girl. I was so happy it made it undamaged and passed through customs without a problem. It is well made and assembled easily. The little girl is 4 years old and about 40in tall and she fit fine with the seat not all the way back. I would say she could grow to 50in and still be able to ride. Because I had read a review that said an adult rode it. I climbed on and rode around. It did not seem to flex at all with 150lbs on it. I would not say thats a good idea, but I looked like the guy from Rowan and Martin's laugh in on it. Very nice trike...It is better designed with the high handle bars and the big plastic tires grip well and seemed very stable. If you are reading the reviews, which is what made me buy it...I would buy it, you will not be disapointed.

This is the "dream" trike for any toddler!!!
I purchased this trike for my 3 year old son. It is absolutely fabulous! Simply the best trike to buy. The wide wheels not only enable it to better grip whatever surface it's being ridden on, but they also ensure a more stable three-wheel vehicle. My little boy loved it from the get-go! I was originally looking for a more "big wheel" type of trike when I came accross this one. I would highly recommend anyone looking for that "first trike" for their little one to try this one. You won't be disappointed. On top of it all, the price is unbelievable. Enjoy the ride!

Stand out in a crowd
My son just got this 2 days ago. I had to put it together before he could use it. It was not difficult at all. In no time, my son was riding his new vehicle. He thought that it was great. He is average to a bit small for his age (4 1/2 years old), but had no problem reaching the pedals. He loves the fact that he can drive it like his daddy drive's his car. My son is the only one in his neighborhood with a car like this and likes to show it off whenever he can. The car looks as if it is quite duable, and should last for many years to come.

Great toy
Our 3.5 year old son loves it. He was able to learn how to operate it within one day and likes riding it. There is no risk of it tipping over (as we had seen with his trike) and he enjoys the control he has riding the vehicle. We also love the fact that he has to use the pedals to ride it which gives him a chance to utilize the endless amount of energy he seems to have.

Would definately recommend it to another child. One point weakness though:
The front steering is not protected - he hig a concrete step causing the steering bar to pop out - no problem - it could be pushed back and he could continue to ride it without problems.

BEST PRESENT EVER!!!
We bought this for our son for Christmas when he was 6. He wanted one of those electric Jeep's. One major reason we decided to NOT go with the Jeep was that at the time we lived upstairs and had no where to keep it and no desire to haul it up and down stairs every day. The next best reason was that we knew he would outgrow it likely within a year. When we saw the Kettcars they looked so cool, light and affordable! Christmas morning he saw it and cared little about anything else! To this day, it is his favorite outside toy! He is 8 now and nearly ready for the next size up, so we will probably get him one this Christmas, which he really wants, especially since the larger models have actual rubber tires, and he likes to pretend he is a mechanic. I would highly recommend this! Another thing...when we go to the park, he is the center of attention, which makes him feel good and I am happy to say that he is wonderful about sharing turns with other kids.

This review is for kids from 13-16
Well what is there to say but this is the greatest toy ever created. We found this car in my friend (Degos) garage. As soon as we saw it we fell in love. First we just went down hills with it but that wasnt enough. We hooked it up to the back of my tractor and went over huge inclines with it. Then we rode it down a hill into my dog house. Let me say that was the high point of my ket carting. Then we were looking for new extents so we drove off the roof of my garage with it which resulted in a broken arm and a bruised rectum. Finally we took it down a steep off road hill and tried 2 land on a parking lot and ride down the hill on the parking lot. This was the end of the ket cart. We tried fixing it but nothing seemed to work. Now we are at school raising money for the ket cart releif fund which is doing pretty well all we need is 32 more dollars. Overall this is a great toy and is suitable for all ages.

A MUST HAVE
We bought this for our then 4 year old son 2 years ago for Christmas. He has loved every minute of it since then. He has an easy time peddling, steering, and stopping. We have adjusted the seat to accomodate his growth 2 times and have never had any complaints! I would highly reccomemend this toy in addition to ride-on toys you might already own. GREAT BOREDOM BUSTER! ... Read more
