5-0 out of 5 stars FUN IS THE WORD I AM LOOKING FOR
it works super good i bought my 11 year old 2 so they fight.the money is well worth it.i would throw somthing on th ground and it would pick it up. IF I WERE YOU I WOULD BUY 2

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT
This is a great remote control toy. My kid has loved it ever since he got it. It is definitly worth the money. It is not like other remote control dogs that fall over every time and cost a lot more. If you want something that isn't too expensive and works well get this you wont regret it.

5-0 out of 5 stars ROBOSAPIEN TECH'S BEST
ROBO IS A PRIME EXAMPLE OF NEW AGE ROBITS AT ITS BEST.AS A COLLECTOR OF FINE ROBOTS FOR HOME USE AND NOT AS TOYS,I HAD GREAT INTREST IN THE ROBOSAPIEN. I WOULDN'T NECESSARILY RECOMMEND IT AS TOY FOR ROUGH KIDS BUT AS A LEARNING PLATFORM FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS. WITH A LITTLE PATIENCE YOU CAN PICK THINGS UP AND HIS MOTIOINS ARE VERY FLUID. THIS IS ROBOTICS AT ITS BEST. YOU MIGHT EXPECT TO SEE SOMETHING LIKE THIS FROM HONDA OR SONY WITH THEIR TOP DOLLAR BOTS BUT TO GET SUCH QUALITY AT A BARGAIN PRICE IS GREAT. YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF THINKING THE LITTLE GUY IS ALIVE!!!! IT'S LIKE WATCHING THE CHARACTERS FORM SMALL SOLDIERS COME TO LIFE IN FRONT OF YOU. IF YOU LOVE ROBOTS AND ROBOTICS DON'T PASS THIS UP!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Super Fun
Our experience is different than the earlier reviewers...my very bright 12 yr old boy has a blast with this thing. He actually read the instructions and makes it do lots of fun things. It keeps him very entertained, and he's always coming up with new tricks to entertain everyone. It's kinda lovable too in a funny sort of way. :)

5-0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money.
The robot has some entertainment value when it first comes out of the box, but that goes away fairly quick. The motion is not very fluid, it kinda shuffles to walk, you don't have direct control over opening or closing the hands, it basically only has one pre-programmed pick-up motion. It says that it's programmable, which it is, but it doesn't remember the programming after it shuts off. This simply is not the NASA designed, fluid motion, humaniod robot that I thought I was getting. I would wait till retailers realize this isn't a hundred dollar toy, and get it on clearance for under fifty bucks. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars This is pretty cool
when you first get batteries it flies good it will stay in the air for a while. But when the batteries start to go out itstarts to suck. The air hogs dominator is really durable to I craashed it a bunch and only got a few battle scars on it. but over all this is a pretty cool toy.
P.S Don't get dollar tree batteries like my mom did it will start dying after about two flites.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best flying RC plane yet!
After my nephew saw the Dominator commercial he was dying for a Dominator. So I bought it. Well out of all the RC planes I've tried, this has been the easiest to learn. You can't miss it in the sky since the plane body is huge and the control is reasonable for the price. Compared to the other stealth looking planes in the stores, this by far was the best in price. Overall, my nephew adored the plane, it provided a decent time period of flight. I recommend purchasing this plane for any child who likes RC products and outdoor fun. Great plane!

3-0 out of 5 stars ok..... not really
well i bought this for my friends birthday and the next day i came over and we went to a field and started to fly it. WARNING LANDING SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as u can see the lands is horrible but it can fly for a good amount of time. but if u even try to land it it will twirl in the air and go head first into the ground. I would not buy it

3-0 out of 5 stars All planes a series of compromises, this is no exception
The new Air Hogs Dominator is an interesting RC plane, way off in a corner of the design space.I am a fan of low-aspect ratio designs, and this plane certainly demonstrates the advantages and disadvantages of low-aspect ratio airplanes.

The airframe seems incredibly rugged. While the tails are potentially breakable, the wing is fat and seems quite strong. The low-aspect ratio design leads toa plane with reasonable wing area, but still a very small wingspan -- so that it can fit in a normal-sized box fully assembled. The thickness of the wing allows it to be very strong while just made out of the cheapest, lightest foam.

On the other hand, the plane doesn't glide very well, with a glide ratio of maybe 5.This means that when you shut the engines down, it sinks like a rock. This is maybe not such a bad thing, though -- it's not going to sail away from youlike some RC gliders. The extremely small size (and basically equilateral-triangle shape) makes it somewhat difficult to determine which way the plane is flying. When it's a couple of hundred feet away it becomes quite difficult to see.

The differential throttle control is weak. Now, many RC crashes are due to over-control -- that can't happen with this plane. The plane treats control inputsas suggestions more than commands. This lack of strong control means that you really want to fly this plane in an extremely large field -- and launch it from the center.Don't for a minute think that you can toss this plane off a cliff (say) and get it back to the takeoff spot -- at least not until you have a lot ofexperience with this plane.I've flown a lot of RC, and this is by far the hardest plane I've flown to get to a particular spot.

The plane really wants to spiral.Again, as you don't want to have it get too far away from you, maybe that's not a bad thing. The control is iffy enough, too, that it's very easy for the plane to get downwind of you in any kind of breeze.I wouldn't fly it in more than a five mph wind.

The low L/D of this design means that you run through the batteries pretty quickly, I would say that my longest flight so far has been about 3 minutes.

Still, it's fun. It's so easy to toss in the car, toss into the air, and fly.The props seem reasonably well protected -- although I've only flown the plane in long grass (and would recommend that that be the only place to fly it.)It's cheap, simple, seems rugged, and has a cuteness factor that can't be ignored. As I've said, I'm prejudiced toward low-aspect ratio designs, it's fun to play with one.

I'll write a long-term review in a few weeks.

2-0 out of 5 stars Fun....but tuff to controll
I got this toy a day ago, I took it out to fly it and I was having fun until it started going straight and I was using the controller to make it go right and it just kept going straight. Then after it went straight for a while, it just started to go in circles and I couldn't controll it. Don't Waste Your Time Or Your Money
The battery position makes this plane "nose heavy " and ours never did get off the ground. In addition, the small nuts which hold the rear landing gear loosen up due to the vibration which could lead to losing the wheel. As "first time" R/C enthusiasts, we were very disappointed by the performance of this plane.

2 channels are not enough!
Easy enough to fly and do so in a VERY large field on a very calm day.

Turns done at low altitude readily lead to spins and crashes

Controls let you climb with motor power and make left and right turns that readily turn into spins.

I have crashed plenty as a part of my learning and now I want at least a 3 channel and preferably a 4 channel plane

Lack of proportional controls means turns are done with small corrective left rights otherwise it is spin and crash city.

Thick clear packing tape repairs most of the damage done on the foam wings and tail

Funb Plane
My brother got the Outlaw, but it doesnt fly! Mine did and it was windy also. His flew away mine didnt

Good for beginners
This is my first radio controll ariplane and it was really easy. It took me a few times to get the hang of it but it actually flies for a long time unlike other ones I've had that don't even fly at all! After you use the battery a few times it actually lasts longer. It takes off from the ground which is cool but hand launching is alot easier.

So Easy!
This was my first time ever trying to fly a radio control airplane. I have seen other people doing it and I thought it would be very hard but I tossed it into the air and it flew right up! It is very easy to control. I crash landed a few times but it still flies great! This plane is so much fun! ... Read more

Editorial Review

Combining all the excitement of a standard radio controlled vehicle with the unique staircase acumen of a Slinky, this Tarantula goes where most other cars could never hope to go. It's equipped with large moving arms covered in rubber treads where other vehicles would place wheels and as such, the Tarantula can climb stairs or simply step over objects that get in its way.A wireless remote guides the bright red Tarantula, which operates on a frequency of 49 MHz. It's powered by one 9-volt and one 9.6-volt nickel-cadmium battery, neither of which, unfortunately, are included in the box. Once we got the hang of working the controls, we were impressed by the Tarantula's capabilities, as it was able to capably perform plenty of challenging tasks as advertised. --Charlie Williams ... The Best Toy I'v Ever Bought
This Toy is the greatest toy I've ever played with. The prices are low and they give you (((((2)))))) blimps. The blimps don't pop when you stick a sowing needle through it. They can gow pretty fast. The greates thing is you can use them indoors or out. I would reccomend using them indoors because when outdoors they can get stuck in trees. even with their strong twin engine sometimes the wind can carry them away.

Great Value for the Price
This is the coolest item I have seen. It works great and you can get helium from any party store or florist and have a ball. The helium last a few days and the blimps fly great. Plus, you get 2 for the price.

Nice.

DO NOT BUY!!!
I hve purchased the blimp set...and i thought it was the best thing that money could buy. Oh yes it is very epensive for JUST the blimps and engens and all the electronic items that are included... BUT that is not all of the costs. You also need to pay [$$$] for helium. I also had to return it TWICE to get a new one because the helium would not stay in. The engens also broke. If i were you I would save my money for somthing better. I had used it for a while before the helium ran out and i was not going to go refill it because of the high price. This product is not worth the money so i recomend to not buy it. I hope my review is as helpfull to you as it would have been for me. [...] ... Read more

Editorial Review

With a remote control that is simple to master, this two-speed airplane is perfect as a first radio-controlled toy. The Resistor takes off from its own computer-operated launch pad with a single press of the Launch button from the remote. A large toggle button moves the plane either left or right as the plane hits scale speeds of up to 400 mph and flies up to 300 feet away. For quick speed, a Thrust button on the remote gives it a 25-percent extra power boost, and for a smooth, even landing, a Land button brings the Resistor down safely. Except for a few hard plastic components that house the engine, this lightweight plane is made almost entirely of Styrofoam, which damages easily if it hits obstacles so it's best to practice flying in open, treeless areas. This toy requires six C batteries for the charger and one 9-volt battery for the plane itself and requires only a three-minute charge in the docking station before it's ready to fly. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Lots of fun for adults, might frustrate younger kids a bit
I bought the Resistor for myself after noting its mention in "Consumer Reports." It is a lot of fun if you pay attention to the directions.

First, don't overcharge it and be sure to condition the internal battery by FULLY discharging it before recharging. It takes a little extra time but it keeps the plane charging properly. When the propellors on mine slow down enough that the plane won't fly any more, I just hold it with it turned on until the propellors stop turning. Then I turn it off and recharge it.

Second, they aren't kidding when they tell you to fly it in an open field. I take mine to the park and fly it on a soccer field. There is plenty of room there and it flies great. However, there is no way to fly it if there are even a few trees in the way. It just doesn't turn sharply enough and you WILL hit a tree in short order. The styrofoam is durable enough to handle crashing into the grass with no problem but a tree isn't very good for it and you run the risk of breaking the wings.

Third, you CANNOT fly it in a strong breeze. The engines aren't powerful enough. It seems to work best in a very light breeze, like 2-3 MPH, The head wind helps the plane to get enough airspeed to take off. In dead air, it flies fine but it's a little harder to launch it.

With the above in mind this is a GREAT toy. It's a lot of fun to fly it around and turn it and make it go up and down with the remote. You can also learn a lot about how an airplane works even though it isn't controlled like a real airplane would be with a rudder and so forth (it manuvers by ramping the engine power up and and down.) Because of the control method it isn't all that responsive, and as a result flying it might be a little frustrating for younger children. I think the "ages 8 and up" on the box is a bit optimistic. I think 12 and up is more accurate.

All in all a great toy for older children and adults, as long as you have a suitable place to fly it. I really like mine.

Hard to fly
I got this for my birthday. It broke while putting together. Got a new one and ok this time. It was fun to watch fly for a couple minutes, then lost control and it went into a tree. It broke when it fell out. I taped it up like the directions said, but when I went to fly again, was fun to chase, but you really do not have any control. It needs a string so you can find it when it fly away.

Not worth the money
Very disappointing!! It is not durable especially considering that crashes will happen with novices and this is geared to the beginner. Even tossed into the breeze as directed, the plane crashed. It was frustrating for an 8 year old boy.

Air Hogs Resister
This is the bomb! With its throttle and thrust button it's just like flying an air plane. And it flies like a plane to. My two favorite parts are the Auto-Pilot take and the extremely smooth landing all in one touch of a button. It also has two piloting levels, beginner and advanced.

You don't have to bend the prop and reverse wires.
I read in one of the reviews that since both motors turned in the same direction and the resulting torque caused his plane to steer to one side when the power was on, he recommended twisting one of the propellers and reversing the tiny wires inside the plane to one motor. There is a much simpler way to correct a torque turn; bend the rear edge of the vertical tail in the opposite direction the plane wants to turn under motor thrust. The plane will turn towards the side you bend the rear of the tail. It shouldn't take much; if the plane goes straight under motor power, it might turn slightly in a power-off glide. Split the difference, or just make slight in-flight corrections when you are under power. This will work much better than trying to bend a propeller 90 degrees and into a shape it wasn't meant to be.

For people who might have flown small fragile styrofoam planes in the past, it should be noted that this plane is made with Expanded Poly-Propylene foam (EPP) not Expanded Poly-Styrene or Styrofoam, and is far more durable. I regularly fly EPP motorless planes in updrafts caused by the wind moving up a hill or slope; these EPP planes, reinforced with filament tape and colored packing tape (or plastic iron-on film) are so tough that they are often flown into each other in midair on purpose (full-contact combat) and can take shocks like flying at high speed into a tree trunk which would shatter a plane made from any other material. EPP foam is revoluionizing the electric powered radio control industry due to its ability to bounce, not break and has been used in sailplanes (gliders) with up to 10-foot wingspans. Should you crash your Air Hog on a regular basis, a good way to stiffen it up is with filament tape or colored packing tape, to keep the foam from 'chunking' in a hard crash. But keep it as light as possible so it will still fly.

Your kids should have an excellent time at the ballfield with the Air Hog. Flying the Air Hog can lead to questions about why airplanes fly, future interest in the galaxy of RC flight from engine powered to electric, to slope or thermal gliders, to designing model planes; even to the real thing in many cases. I can think of seven people in my own extended family that have enjoyed flying model airplanes, and four who have taken the steps to fly real ones, including one airline pilot. In every case their interest was sparked at an early age by flying toys of far less capability than the Air Hog. I can't think of a more varied, stimulating and just plain fun hobby to enjoy. ... This toy Rocks
This toy blows all the other subs out of the water, when i first got it for my birthday i put the batteries in and bam it already worked. Although it needs to be charged for 2 hours it is real fun to drive around the pool, aquarium, or pond. WARNING (do not user in salt water!)

the next ROUV
THis is a very good RC sub. i have used it in my aquarium where it manuevers freely in the small environment. the only problem is that it is hard to manuver it in moving water such as a pool.

This is great!
I got this submarine for Christmas and I was so excited about it. I drove it around in the bathtub with the lights in the bathroom off and the little submarine lit up the whole bathtub! This isn't a very fast sub, but it is still really fun! If you have a pool this would be a great toy because of how far down it can go and still be in range of the transmitter. I have had no problems with this sub and it is just so fun to relax and control a little sub around in my fishtank with all the lights off. The submarine is very manuaverable and responsive to the transmitter. You only have to charge the submarine for 2 hours instead of most RC toys having to be charged for 4 hours. Megatech says it only gets 15 minutes of battery life but it really has a battery life of about 25 minutes. The one thing that is less than desirable is that when the submarine gets old and will not hold a charge anymore, you can't just buy a new battery because the battery is inside the Sub. For this reason do not overcharge it. But otherwise this is very fun and I would definitly recommend it.

Another ingeneous toy
This toy is great for presents and gifts. I think (as an opinion) is a great toy. Children could play with it all they want. Its a great toy. Get yours while it lasts!

another magatech [disappointment]
Well I recieved my ...toy today, put in the batteries, charged the sub for 6 hours, and bam it doesnt work. Called tech support and left a message, I am still waiting for them to call me back. So, I sent them an email, Still waiting for their reply. I returned it to Amazon (which was verry fast (great service)). however the "new" replacement from Megatech was dead right out of the box. Two dead submarines right out of the box in a row. Mr Deans (manager at Megatech does not return voice mail, so if you have a sub, and it has problems, I suggest getting your money back.

I hope you all have better luck with Megatech

LOOKIN GOOD
I am going to a local pond today to try it out and I was looking for some facts about how fast it goes. I JUST DONT WANT A REALLY SLOW BOAT! But it looks good and I think it will do. Make sure you have a big area to run it before you buy it and get the warrenty!

Not so much fun
I recieved this Nikko Speedboat as a gift 3 months ago and I used it only a few times and the boat no longer works. My mom brought it back to the store where it was purchased and they would not exchange it for me. They had none in stock and would not give me a store credit or offer to order me one online! All I want is to get another one just like it so I can have FUNagain.

not built for the sea but good for the sea
I was on vacation in the caribean and of course I went to the beach and the Super Cruiser did what its name discribed, it cruised through the waves like air the only down side is the low power motor in the boat`s rudder because of this if you dont turn it for a while it will sease up but still the Super Cruiser is still a good buy.

Another neat trick by Mattel
Mattel has done it again. This is - just like the Batjet, Batcycles, and Batcopter realeased over the past year, a great addition to any Batman collection. This Batmobile is based on the version used by Batman in the more recent comics. I've always wanted to buy a toy/model based on it, and Mattel has met my need.
Scope and scale aside, this Batmobile is the best one to drive into the Batcave playset. I really like how Mattel has utilized the Batman license, and spread it throughout the company's many brands: Batman, Justice League, Hot Wheels, and Tyco R/C. Mattel has jazzed up Batman in exciting ways that Hasbro failed to do.

The Batman Has arrived--and he's in the Batmobile!
This toy is very fun! It is the first remote control vehicle I have had since I was a kid. I love collecting Batman items. And what a great way to also get into R/C's as well. This Batmobile has great handeling & speed, I must say I was very happy with the speed, this wasn't some slow kiddie toy. It really gets up & goes. It also was great going down stairs. My little girls had a wonderful time chasing the Batmoblie. I think anyone who buys this item will be very thrilled. Besides if my gils continue to chase the car every day, then perhaps they'll get to bed earlier at night then I can finaly get some sleep. What a bargin, a fun toy & tired children! ... Read more
