Recommended Age is not correct
My daughter received this gift for her 1st birthday knowing that she would grow into it fairly soon. The picture on the box showed a seat that is about 6 inches off the ground. I stored it in the closet until she was 20 months old (18 months is the recommended age to start) and my daughter was so excited to see us put together her first bike. What a dissapointment when her feet couldn't reach the pedals. This was a full size tricycle and there is no way she would be able to ride it. She had a lot of fun when we would push her around on it, but that is way tooo tiring for an all day event. My daughter is now two years old and her feet still can't make it all the way around on the pedals. She is tall for her age, so shame on the manf for putting an incorrect age to start. We ended up purchasing a bike that would fit her height and she loves it!

Lot's of fun but pedals poorly attached
My daughter loved riding on this tricycle. But after only 1 month in the house, one of the pedals came off and now she can't ride it anymore. I would have expected more durability for the price paid. Recommend spending a little more and getting a more durable product.

Cute bike
This bike was purchased for my 2 year old daughter. She just fits the bike. After about a month of practicing, she can actually pedal down the street. A great first bike!

Disney Princess Trike---Perfect for a 3 Year
We just bought this for our 3 1/2 year old daughter. Although she is already very good at the peddaling thing, this was her pick. She loves the Disnay Princesses, and although the box says up to 3, she is not ready for a bicycle yet, she is very small for age, mostly short and she doesn't not feel as safe on the bicycle because of the breaks on the pedals, she is not ready yet, if we make it until next summer, I find this to have been a great investment, she loves it. Only complaint, the directions were horrible! My hubby assembled it on his own from looking at the picture on the box.

Daughter Absolutely LOVES it!
I bought this for my daughter when she was 2 1/2. She is a small girl, (my 18 mo old niece was about the same size) and my daughter could ride it right away. No way an average size 1 year old could ride it though, in my opinion especially with the coordination aspect. 12 month old??? I don't think so. Toys R Us's age recommendation fits better than the mfg. My daughter is turning 3 and I think it will suit her for awhile. Although a bit too big for it, a 6 year old neighborhood girl was having fun riding it today. ... Read more

This scooter was NOT SAFE for my 5 year-old
My son recv'd this scooter as a gift from grandparents. He initally rode it w/training wheels ON & his free leg/foot would usually get "tripped" up on the training wheels (they extend-out too far). The platform is too short (for my 5 yr old). My son recv'd three gashes/cuts to his ankles (on 3 different occasions) from the rear wheel screw/nut when trying to propel himself along (this is without trng wheels). He also got a cut on the inside part of his leg (near his ankle)from contact w/the metal sloping part (just behind the front wheel) when trying to lift it off/away a curb. After the 3rd incident, we dismantled it & threw it away.

My Daughter is in Love with Her Scooter
My daughter(5) has so much fun riding her new scooter. Her mother who is maybe three times her weight got on it and demonstrated the art of scooting. No damage done -- this scooter is build solid!
I noticed that unlike a bicycle this scooter's turning radius is rather small. The beauty of this is that the child who rides this scooter will less likely have those catastrophic turn-the- handle-bar-one-way-fall-another-way (as on a bicycle) accidents.
None of the toy stores in my town carried this scooter; so I imagine my daughter is one of the few who owns one here. I would not hesitate to buy another scoooter from this company!

Toot-toot! All aboard for lunch with the very functional Thomas the Tanklunch box, which is made of durable plastic and comes in the traditional Thomasblue with a red handle. Inside the generous container are an 11.5-ounce canteenand a Pecoware double-deck sandwich container, which measures 5 by 5 by 3inches. Both are adorned with Thomas scenes. On the front of the lunch box is anifty front panel--decorated with another happy Thomas scene--that clips open. This compartment is big enough to accommodate another sandwich or is the perfecthiding place to tuck away a secret goodie for your child. Press a button on theside of the canteen, and the cover pops up, revealing a straw. Most Adorable Lunchbox
This Thomas Train Lunchbox is GREAT! My three year old son was so excited when he saw it for the first time. It is spacious and well constructed. The compartments are large and there are multiple options for use with each piece. The kids (ages 3-5) in his preschool class went crazy when he brought it to school. It is a one of a kind.

Retro cool
I gave this 5 stars for fun, because my son loved it from day one, and would not leave the store without it. He played with it for days while we waited for school to reopen after Christmas.

I rated it 5 stars for educational value, because it made him want to go to school, which is a significant educational achievement indeed.

Unfortunately, I had to mark it down, because the water bottle is already broken at the point where the button to press it open meets the cap. Also, the straw is hard to clean, especially after a young child eats a cheesy snack and nibbles on the straw.
Lastly, the front compartment is very difficult to open, especially for a young child, so you end up not using that section at all.

Other than these, it's tough, it's cute, and it's a retro look that parents remember all too well. Substitute another bottle, and enjoy.

5-0 out of 5 stars now in its fifth year of use and still going strong!
This is THE lunchbox to get! My six year old son received this as a gift for his first birthday. I didn't think much of it at the time. HA! Little did I know how much we would use this durable and practical lunch box set! I can pack his lunch everyday without one piece of plastic wrap or one plastic baggie! A sandwich fits perfectly in the tray provided and stays fresh and soft until lunch time! Under the sandwich I pack fruit, pretzels or other snacks....again without any plastic wrap or baggy! I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Cute item for your Thomas fan, but...
A friend of mine bought this lunchbox for my son and he loved it as soon as he got it. He's 4 and not in kindergarten yet, so this only gets used from time to time when we go out to lunch, etc. It can also be used to carry along small toys, trains, or whatever. Another reviewer has said hers cracked after it was dropped. I can't really comment too much on that since ours hasn't been dropped (yet). The lunchbox is pretty roomy on the inside and even has a side compartment too! There's a snack box inside with a little tray which basically divides it into two compartments. I usually put a sandwich on top and put other things underneath. The biggest problem with the whole set is the cup that comes with it. It is really cute, but leaks into the lunchbox frequently and is a MAJOR PAIN to clean. There's a little spring loaded straw that pops up when you open the top, and goes back down when you close it. You basically have to disassemble these parts each time you clean it and let them dry, then put the whole thing back together again. I think they could've included a simple thermos or something that would have been much easier to use and clean. My son loves the design of the box, so I would recommend this lunchbox. However, I would leave the cup at home and throw in a juice box or something instead!!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Thomas Lunch Box
My 3 year old son has this lunchbox and he dropped it and it cracked. It's not very durable. Also, it has a compartment for an ice pack, but didn't come with one. It is very difficult to find an ice pack for the size of the compartment. On a good note, he loves the drinking cup and snack box. ... Read more

Go-Kart vs. Little 4 wheeler
I agree with the button being too hard to push (and keep pushing) and my son has had several experiences with accidentally pushing the button while trying to get in and out of the vehicle. My son also has the small four wheeler for 12-36 months and he enjoys it much more than the go-kart. The button is much easier to push and he can steer it better. He prefers the 4 wheeler and they are the same price (the 4 wheeler is actually a little cheaper I think)...GO FOR THE 4 WHEELER!!! I prefered the go-kart since it has the high seat back but my son has never had any problems without one on the four wheeler. Hope this helps! =o)

Absolutely adorable
This is so cute and my 21 month old loves it. I didn't buy it thru Toy's R Us because I didn't want to pay to ship it and the Toys R Us's near me only carries the boy one. I purchased it at Meijers instead for the same price. I put it together myself and it wasn't too hard. I was to anxious and didn't want to wait for my husband. My daughter took to it and soon after a few hours she was a pro. I have to stay with her because it only takes wide turns so I am constantly turning her around. There is no reverse or anything. One concern I have is that everytime she goes to climb in she presses the button that is on the steering wheel and the car starts to drive and a few times she has fallen or gotton her leg stuck. I am hoping since it is still new she will learn she cant press it but they dont quite get the concept that they have to stop pressing the button and I wish there was a removable cover over it. Other than that it is so cute and she follows my older daughter around as she drives her Barbie Jeep. This is a great item and what really mattes is how happy my daughter is.

Great outdoor fun!
I got this toy as an Easter gift for my daughter (who is now 17 months). She loved it the minute she sat in it. I read other reviews stating that the "go" button was hard for toddlers to push, but my little girl has no trouble. The only trouble I have is keeping up with her. I know it sounds crazy since it only goes 2 mph, but I have to help her steer. Thank goodness this is not an insight on her future driving skills! By the way, assembly for this is very easy. I did it without the help of my mechanically inclined husband in LESS than 30 minutes.

amazing
It was pretty expensive and we went over our monthly budget but when I see my daughter driving it and seeing her face smile I just love it so much! she's 18 months right now and it amazes me that she was able to drive it around, push the button even. I didnt know it goes with a girlie color, I was given the orange one but I don't mind as long as she's happy when she drives it. I can't wait to have her drive it in the park.

Love this toy!!!
We purchased this toy for our daughter who is paralyzed from the chest down. It's perfect for her to get around the back yard in. With the "gas" on the steering wheel, she can run around just like her brother's and sister's can!!!!!
The push button is easy to use. It doesn't go too fast or in reverse. It's very safe for her. She's just now two years old and big for her age, it fits her perfectly.
We will be very very sad when she outgrows it and we have to find another way for her to get around in the yard. ... Read more

Dinosaur devotees will be roaring over this radio-controlledTyrannosaurus Rex as he growls and roars, moves his head, thrashes histail, and even blinks his beady yellow eyes. He can also turnrealistically and walk forward a few steps on a hard surface, growlingand roaring at the same time, if you choose. T-Rex is 11 inches tall and21 inches from nose to tail, with textured, flexible brown rubber skinthat bends and moves. The controller is shaped like a stone with twobone-shaped joysticks to control the dinosaur's walking and turning.Buttons on the side of the controller make T-Rex move his head and frontfeet, snap his jaws, roar, and blink his eyes. The controller slidesopen in the middle for use, and you have to be careful not to pinch yourfingers when you snap it shut. T-Rex requires a total of six AAbatteries, two for the controller and four inside the dinosaur, and thebattery compartment inside the T-Rex is rather difficult to access.Despite these small drawbacks, this dino is one cool dude that willthrill any kid in the midst of the inevitable dinosaur phase. -- Marcie Bovetz ... This toy is the best! Worth your money!
My favorite dinosaur is the Tyrannosaurus Rex, so i bought it. The toy is completely reilistic! It has everything you wish for in a R/C toy! It's head is very great and reilistic and it's sounds are too! But be careful. After about 3 or 2 years, i was playing with the toy when suddenly it's ankle snapped in half. My mom can't get it back together again. So be careful about bagnning this toy around like a doll. If you do it's going to breck soon. But if you don't, it lasts for about 3 or 4 years. But since my birthday's coming up in 3 weeks, my mom is going to buy another one! I thank Jesus for this wonderful toy! :)

T-Rex is pretty cool, but winds up in the closet anyway.
I had high expectations for this bad boy, but let me give you the pros and cons:

Pros:

Mobility, coupled with an array of growls, roars and twitches, will keep your attention for a short while. I do give the creators credit for a sincere effort at realism, however...

Cons:

The clawlike arms are not mechanized, and just hang there.
There is a loud clicking sound (gears?) as he moves his head.
Although the legs move, the tail is stiff and non-functional (tags along on non-powered wheels protruding from below).
The big guy has trouble negotiating anything other than smooth, flat surfaces.

Basically, I think the problem with toys such as this, is simply the lack of child interaction. After a short time, the novelty wears off, and junior goes scurrying back to the lego blocks. I also purchased a very well-conceived E.T. figure for my 5-yr. old son (4 at the time). The vocal effects were excellent, but like Mr. T-Rex, he was soon gathering dust in a box in the closet.

Bottom-line: Child interaction is priority #1. A good jigsaw puzzle will beat the heck out of fancy, mechanized toys. Fool me twice - shame on me.

Very poor quality, cheap mechanical parts, VERY disappointed
I orded this toy for my son's main Christmas present. I put the batteries in and tried it out. Half of the functions didn't even work. I returned it for a replacement. (Very easy and convienent return policy!) When I got the 2nd one a few days later, all of the buttons worked, but the gears and mechanics where of HORRIBLE quality and very cheaply put together. The gears would miss and get stuck on some of the funtions and it would just jerk around. The gears are incredibly LOUD! It constantly made a VERY loud high pitched screeching noise as it's head moved around. This toy is a neat idea, but just too cheaply made. After trying out 2 separate dinos, I recomend you pass this one up and find a different toy for your kiddos.

Battery waste
This toy eats batteries. If you leave the dinosaur on, which is relatively easy to do, when you are not using this toy, the batteries run down. Over night! The first one we got of this toy broke within 24 hours and was replaced. The second one got played with a few times and then left in a closet. My son is not too interested in it because every time he takes it out to play with it, the batteries are, inevitably, dead. Not very child friendly.

does not live up to expectations
I gave this item to my nephew for his birthday. He played with it once. It did not do half of the stuff it was supposed to be able to do. It had new batteries and the things that did work, quit working while he was playing with it. I was very dissatisfied with this product... ... Read more

Great Christmas Gift
We gave this to our 5 year old grandson for Christmas and he was thrilled. When we left their house 3 days later, he was still thrilled with the crane. I love the metal that Tonka uses, the plastic trucks do not last with 5 year old twin boys. I recommend this crane for any little boys that enjoy Mighty Machines.

unsafe and frustrating
We got this for our 3-year-old son last Christmas, and he was thrilled with it. He played with it for about 5 minutes and was very frustrated because the arm would not stay in place, it kept crashing down no matter how securely kid (or parents) would try to set it in place. Unsafe for fingers or anyone in the way of the arm when it goes. We tried playing with it for a few days and ended up exchanging it for the excavator instead, which was a big disappointment -- this had been his very favorite thing under the tree. Extremely poor engineering on this one.

Doesn't do the Tonka name proud....
While it's not the cool all-metal stuff that I remember, I know my son enjoyed playing with this. At least UNTIL the lever that keeps the crane up broke. It's a shoddy piece of plastic wrapped by a thin tin shell. I'm very unhappy with this. And as for my son.. it's no fun seeing a 3-year-old cry...

A Fix For The String
I recently purchased the crane, excavator, front loader, etc... The very first time he tried to use it the bucket came off the string. He also has the mini one with the same problem. After you tie it back on put a bead of hot glue on both sides of the knot and press it between your fingers just before it hardens. Neither knot has slipped since! We just found a Tonka track bulldozer that my husband played with 30 years ago and it still works! My son has added it to his fleet. I'm confident these will be around for his kids too!!

Simple and Tough, it will be long life toy.
I bought the crane for my son. He is almost 3y old. This crane is his favorite one and so tough against play at out door ground. (I am not satisfied at just 2 points. 1st one is the stripe on the body. It is not paint but paper seal, weak for wash. 2nd one is spring at baggage. It will be too strong for younger children. ) I also love it because of simple and tough concept. I would like to collect other items for construction role play with my son. ... Read more

Great toy for the money!
This Geotrax add-on is great. At first I thought we would be going through batteries like I owned a battery store but it turns out the batteries last a long time and it has an auto shut down switch if you child walks away from the train. We were considering the wooden trains but for the price this set was a better deal. This set actually made noises and had track switch options. We continue to buy add-ons. 2-0 out of 5 stars cute but dangerous!!!
My 4 year old son received this bike last year as a gift, I loved the classic look, but did not like that it does not have any brakes. This is a cool bike and kids want to go fast, but can't really stop in time. My kid had to drag his shoes on the floor like if he was fom the stone-age era to stop!!! I would not recommend this bike, unless you can figure out how to equip this bike with brakes!!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Advertisement misinformation
I would think that the information of a child's bike that did not come equipped with brakes would be listed in the advertisement. This bike has NO brakes. Had I known this information I would never have bought this bike. We have a steep driveway and there is no way for her to stop or even slow down without dropping her feet and risking injury. I am currently writing a complaint letter to the manufacturer regarding this situation.

3-0 out of 5 stars NO BRAKES?!?!?!?!?!?
Okay... I have to admit that this is an adorable little bike. When my son received it for Christmas I don't know who was more excited! Then I proceeded to assemble it and noticed a 'warning' on the side of the box... "No Brakes".

Correct me if I'm wrong here but I thought the whole point of getting a bike with training wheels was to actually 'teach' a child how to ride a bike. Sure the 10" Radio Flyer may be good for the first 3 months but what happens when your little one 'gets up to speed'? They'll be crashing into everything. Meaning the bike, at best, will be limited to backyard use only. Our intent was to go for strolls around our block... and we live in a very quiet neighborhood with little traffic. Still, I wouldn't trust going around the block knowing my little one couldn't stop on his own if he had to or, God forbid, mommy was a step or two behind and not able to 'grab' him quick enough!

For $...I'd recommend going with a bike that has brakes so that parents and/or caregivers can seize 'teachable moments' (like, stop or you'll crash into the house!).

Bummer... I expected more from Radio Flyer.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great first bike!
My son and daughter both learned to ride with this bike. My Daughter is only 2 and learned really easily. I am getting her a bigger one for Christmas since she did so well this summer with this one. One thing about it is it is hard to get going with it at first.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice first bike
Our 2 year-old (now 2-1/2) loves it. Even though he was only 24-25 lbs. and 29" tall at the time, he would have felt like a baby if we bought him a tricycle or a plastic "toy" bike. Radio Flyer has already shipped us a couple of parts that fell off (from heavy use) free-of-charge... ... Read more

Fun for girls too!
My twin girls received this fire truck as a gift for Christmas when they were 13 mo. old. They got the biggest kick out of it! They loved the fact that they could make it talk and move and put the people in and out. Now that they are 16 mo. old, they have more imagination and can use it together with some of the other little people sets (such as the fire station). The sounds are good quality, it moves on carpet, and is a wonderful first fire truck. Great product!

COOL TOY
My 12 month old loves this truck. It was easy for him to move around. It is also tough enough to withstand the abuse a little boy gives his toys. BUY THIS TOY!!

Great first fire engine!

It's okay but there's better ones
We bought this for our daughter when she was about 14 months old. She likes the electronic buttons but it's hard for her to drive by herself, and when we push her the front moves so it goes astray. If given the chance, would not buy this again.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy!
My daughter recieved the Chicco Millennuim toy for her 1st birthday. It came put together, so that was a great help! At first, she wasn't tall enough to sit on it and have both legs reach the ground to push herself, now she can, and loves it. But even then, she would have fun pushing the buttons, and putting the blocks in the slots. She loves to pull the steering wheel off and take it in the car w/her(so the music, and animal sounds will follow us everywhere!)It does get a little annoying as she just holds down a certain button at a time, and we get a barking dog for 15 min.,or a meowing cat,or chirping bird,or car horn...etc. The seat does disconnect when you flip it over, and an adult is required to put it back(sometimes pinches me). At first that was dissapointing, but we've discovered she likes to take it places w/her and play w/the activites on the other side of the seat. The boy who lives next door, just turned 2 and he loves it as well. He is VERY rough w/it - ramming it against the wall, or standing and jumping on the seat, and it remains in tact. All in all, this is a great toy, and I would recommend it to any parent. I know that it will remain in our house, and be one of her favorites for at least another year.

4-0 out of 5 stars A toy worth fighting over
We set the kitchen timer in 5 minute intervals to share this toy. My 10 month old received this for Christmas. My 2 1/2 year old thinks it's hers. She LOVES the music and rides it around and around the kitchen island. Although my 10 month old is to young to ride the scooter ever since he started standing he has held on to the bar and pushed it. Compared to the other push cars I think the weight of this is best. It has never run away or toppled over. Unfortunately the seat always disconnects when you open it up to play with the blocks inside (an adult has to put it back on). The box showed the shape sorting characters sitting on top of the scooter, they actually fall into the back compartment. They do not stay on top. I love the music...it drives my husband crazy. There is an "off" button if you get tired of listening to it. Definately a good buy!!

4-0 out of 5 stars A GOOD TOY FOR MANY AGES
My son received this toy a few weeks ago for his first birthday. He LOVES it! The bar in the back is just the right height for a new walker to push, and most of the buttons on the sound board are easy enough for him to manipulate. The little people are cute and the blocks are nice and chunky. The flip-out seat is a little tough to work with (even for sisters aged 2 1/2 and 4), but that's my only complaint! All 3 kids enjoy playing with this toy - each in a different way. It's nice to have a toy that can be played with in so many different ways - I don't think we'll outgrow this one for a long time!

4-0 out of 5 stars Has issues!
My 2 year old loved the music, building blocks and general features however there are in my opinion two main flaws with this product. Firstly the seat does not stay attached if it is flipped over to the toy section. Maybe this was an error with the unit we purchased but I was forever having to clip it back into the side attachments. Secondly the seat is not solid and my child cracked it when he jumped on it. I did tape the crack but he still managed to snag a piece of skin leaving a nasty cut. Needless to say I threw it out after this incident. So it only lasted 5 months. ... Read more

Mom of a car lover
My three year old loves all these cars. He takes them everywhere. Not sure I can give more stars to education - not sure what they can do educationally

hot wheels are the [stuff]
i highly recommend this gift to anyone into hotwheels if it wasnt for my godson i would have kept it for myself i think this kids gonna [be very happy] when he unwraps this gift because he loves hot wheels hes going to be 2 years old and he can already tell real hotwheels for [look alike] matchbox cars and other nockoff brand hot wheels is the original and people should only buy hotwheels because any other brand is [not as good]

Hot Wheels are cool for all ages !!!
Hey I am 21 years old and still collect and play with Hot Wheel cars. I have a huge collection of un opened cars but also I have a huge track set up in my shop where I spend most of my time playing with my opened cars when not working. I am always on the look out for new cars I have not got in my collection and I love your new 20 pack of cars. It Is a lot of super cars for only a great low price of under $25 Bucks that makes them a super steal for any age I already have 1 and plan to buy 2 more for myself and a few extra will make super Duper Christmas gifts for family and friends.I think Hot Wheels are for all ages because at times my dad breaks out his 1965 collection for some serious 1 on 1 competion on the track and he usually rocks. Hot Wheels are cool toys for all ages and I have seen many older people break out their child hood memories to play and play as they were kids in their earlier years having a lot of fun. Hot Wheels brings out the Kid in all of us I think That is why they are so cool !! GO HOT WHEELS!!!!

Classic, traditional, yet modern and sturdy
It might seem as if 20 cars is too much at once.

Days as a five year old were best filled with playing in complete abandon. The freedom proffered by youth needed only a few toys to complete the ever-present joy. A few toys which mattered included several tattered but friendly books, a truck or two, an odd shovel and bucket, and, the coup de grace, a Hot Wheels car. Mattel makes a track as well, but a well-made car could take a boy places. This set of 20 is what kindergartners drool over.

A boy has everything in this set: vehicles of all colors, a few truck varieties, some funny looking cars. There are plenty, and frankly, since a few will invariably wind up lost under the couch, eaten by the dog, and buried with other treasures in the garden, having 20 quickly becomes justified.

Why a Hot Wheels car? Because they are made with hard steel. They are painted with a slick color. They hold up to frequent tastings, sand grindings, dirt smearings and other nonsense that comes with power racing in a sandbox. Sticky chocolate wipes off with warm water, and grime comes out with a good spray under the faucet.

The wheels themselves have a bounce peculiar to a genuine Hot Wheels vehicle. That's how my brother and I made sure it had adequate fuel. Ten bounces should be enough, we figured, and usually, we were right.

I fully recommend the "Hot Wheels 20-Car Gift Pack."

Excellent as a first bike, the Ready-to-Ride comes in bright, friendly primary colors and the classic Radio Flyer stylings that remind parents of the little red tricycles of their youths. As with all Radio Flyer trikes, the Ready-to-Ride is built to last with a durable steel frame and heavy-duty treaded tires. Plastic bucket seats provide a comfortable ride and rubber handles offer a secure grip. Kids can tow a doll or load toys into the yellow storage bin on back and announce that they're coming through with the loud bell on the handlebar. Parents will appreciate the trike's low center of gravity and controlled turning radius that prevents it from tipping during speedy turns. The lightweight and portable Ready-to-Ride also easily folds up for storage and has a handy grip in the back of the seat for carrying or hanging. A reliable safety latch ensures that the trike won't begin to fold up midway through a ride. The Ready-to-Ride trike comes fully assembled and is covered by a one-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

Classic Radio Flyer That Is Portable and A Big Hit!!!
I bought this trike for my 1 1/2 year old and just loves it. It is fully assemble and easy to collapse making it portable to take with us in the car. My son just loves to push the tricycle around. He hasn't quite figured out pedaling yet, but it's easy for him to push it with his feet. I haven't seen anything to lead me to worry about it tipping. This bike is much more attractive then some of the plastic models out there.

Danger!
We bought this for our 3 year old and were very disapointed. We found this trike to be very dangerous. He rode this bike and fell over many times, we also have the fisher price 3 in one bike and that never happened before. We bought this trike as a rite of passage beliving in the radio flyer name brand and tradition. Took it back to the store! Just because it looks cute is not worth the risk of injury to our son. Sorry Radio Flyer but you need to redesign this one!

Great trike!
I have a 2-year-old who is small for his age, so I was looking for a smaller trike. He loves this trike and it is not tipsy as some of the other models of Radio Flyer are. The other comparably-sized (and same-priced) trike is the Preschool Fold-up Trike by Friendly Toys, but it is not nearly the trike that the Radio Flyer is. The RF is way more heavy duty and for the same price! Another bonus is not having to assemble it. It's already assembled! My little boy started pedaling on it right away and he's never ridden a trike before, so I know it must fit him well. ... Read more

This is a book review for Thomas & The School Trip for MFLP
This is a great MFLP book for Thomas friends old and new. My 3yr.old loves to hear the engines talk while playing the educational games. Thomas and his friends teach shapes, colors, opposittes, matching and problem solving while taking the children on a school trip. After each page is read aloud to your child,(ideally, your child will read along silently) he can explore Thomas's surroundings or choose to play a game. My son loves the games and seems to be appropriately challenged; not frustrated with the content. This is the first book we purchased outside of the MFLP w/ it's initial book. Even so, I think this will prove to be one of the better books.

Great educational toy for youngsters!
I initally bought the regular Leap Pad for my then 5 year old daughter last Christmas. She loves it! But then my 2 year old son started getting into hers, so we decided to get him the My First Leap Pad this past Christmas. He can't get enough of it. He plays with it at least 2-3 times a day, and he has actually learned from the toy. They think they are playing, but they are learning at the same time. I have owned quite a few Leap Frog Products, and every one has been great! I would not hesitate to buy any of Leap's products, they are all good investments in our children's future.

success
I really think the leap frog of thomas the tank engine is really educational. My son loves it and really is learning from it. He has come with new vocabulary everday. Thanks.

Not as authentic as the disney /nick jr theme books
My 2 1/2 year old loves the Pooh bear book for My First Leap Pad, and the Bear in the Big Blue house/Bob the Builder/Dora the Explorer for the regular leappad. Thats because, those include the several theme songs from the actual videos which he really enjoys. And the actual voices of the TV characters. This does not include the catchy Thomas the Tank engine music which is what he, as a toddler, really loves and associates with Thomas! He is usually singing one of the songs as he plays at his train table. The voices too are not Alec Baldwin or Carlin. So, despite featuring familiar characters, since the musical part of this book is on the whole, not very good, he prefers even the Rhyme book. .... the rhyme book for My First Leappad, is much better than the one for the regular Leappad.

a very worthy investment
My two-and-half years old boy loves this! Since we speak Mandarin Chinese at home, he does not learn much English from us. But I was pleasantly surprised that he learned a lot of English words a month after he started playing with this book. I now have all the other books for My First Pad since I am so impressed with its educational value. This is the best return I have gotten from money invested in toys. Now I am concentrating my toy money on Leapfrog stuffs. Thank you LeapFrog! ... Read more

Every child knows this much about evolution: somewhere, way, way back,we were kangaroos. All you need to satisfy the deep primal desire to get aroundby hopping is one of these big, heavy-gauge vinyl hopping balls. The slightlystippled surface of the blue vinyl provides plenty of grip, and the ballinflates to over 53 inches in circumference, so it can accommodate differentsizes of human Roo. The best feature of this model is a large, solid,arch-shaped handle so that you can hang on across long stretches of roughoutback. A pump is required.--Richard Farr ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Favorite year-round toy
Like most kids today, our two have more toys than they know what to do with, and they hardly ever play with most of them. The Fun Hop is one of the few exceptions--my children play with it daily (my daughter is 5 and my son is 3). They hop all over the house, and even use it to clean up (hey, it's more fun to "hop" stuff back to your room than to just carry it there!). Our only problem is that we only have one hopper, and they usually both want to hop on it. They are pretty good about sharing, but we will be buying a second one soon. The hopper is made of thick rubber and is very durable. In almost 2 years we've never had to add more air to it, so it is maintenance-free. There are no parts to lose, either, and the kids get a LOT of exercise playing with it. What a perfect toy! Get one for every kid in your house.

fun hop rox my world
well, when i was a kid, which wasn't too long ago, this thing took over. i loved it soooo much, that i've been looking for it ever since i first got to use one. now that i've found it, you bet i'm buying a few...if your kid (or adult, as in my case, ha...) likes more physical platy, this is the thing to get. my goodness...i looove them. later dayz, kiddzoz.

This was a PERFECT Xmas gift
I bought 13 of these from Amazon for my little family members as xmas gifts. What a great idea! They were all having a great time bouncing around. The grown-ups wanted larger versions so they could play. I don't know how to top these gifts for next year!

A winner in our home
We bought two of these because the first one was such a good toy. It is played with daily. The kids hop everywhere - down the hall, in the kitchen, around the yard...

I look for toys that are fun, educational, and fairly quiet. I want toys that are easy to play with and have more than a button you push to make something happen. I want toys that encourage exploration of the world.

This toy meets those requirements. I would say it is very educational in that it encourages large motor skills, balancing, eye and hand coordination etc. It is also educational in that it encourages imagination- hey, I'm a Kangaroo mommy! This is very fun and they only noise it makes really is the noise the kids make while playing on the hopper.

It is well worth every penny.
Enjoy.

Great Indoor Exersice

Editorial Review

James the Red Engine is one of the Thomas the Tank Engine series of train cars and is made of real wood. James has a cheery, smiling face on the front of the engine, promising an adventure as soon as the train leaves the station. James the Red Engine pulls his own coal car, so he won't run out of fuel. The cars attach to each other with magnets. This is a toy that encourages imaginative play and requires no batteries. Engine with attached coal car measures 5.75 inches in length. --Margaret Quinn ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than Thomas
Although my 3 year old loves Thomas on TV, for some reason he loves the James toy more than the Thomas one. The coal car is a big deal to him. His 18 month old brother loves it too. These toys withstand two boys playing with them better than any other I can find. I bought the tracks & engine at Christmas & they still play with it EVERY day!

Hooray for James
James does a great job pulling the coaches along the track. He can pull pretty much anything at a fast pace. I've had my Jame sfor 9 years and it looks almost new. He's a great engine and you can live the episodes with these trains.

Grandma's Magic Accident
I purchased Thomas the engine without realizing that it was not battery operated. I gave it to my 2 year old grandson for his birthday because I had nothing else to give, and the twinkle in his eyes let me know I had hit upon a winner. The adventures for Thomas and his friends have not ended. I have since purchsed, Skarloey, Ben & Bill, Douglas, Percy, Toby and Bertie. The adventures just don't seem to end for my grandson. He plays with this toy for hours. His vocabulary has increased at the same pace as his adventures. The fact that this is not battery operated is the joy of the toy. I need not turn on the television to keep him occupied, he has Thomas and his many friends and that is good enough for me.

JAMES IS GREAT!!!!!!!!
James is one of my favorite engines he is a big engine and the same length as duke edward and mike and he is in a lot of stories like james goes buzz buzz.

Best Investment I Have Ever Made
My 2 year old son loves his James. He likes him best because of the bright red color. His Thomas the Tank train set is the only toy he plays with period and he plays with it everyday. Other than Thomas Trains, he plays outside. When we have guests, he takes them all to play with his train set. To any first time buyer of Thomas trains you will notice the prices seem high for a toy of this size but you have to remember that these toys are not plastic but are made of solid maple and have a lifetime warranty. People have asked me why I buy these trains when they most of the set is not battery powered. The reason is because it has been my experience that children get pretty bored just watching a train go around a track. With Thomas the Tank Trains your little loved one gets to actually participate by moving the trains. All the trains have different colors, numbers and names which help promote memory skills and recognition while having fun. The Thomas Tank Engine books and DVD's teach lessons and morals on hard work, kindness, accepting responsibility, etc, etc, etc...... As your child ages they can begin to build their own track layouts so the toy grows with them. The makers of this series have also included items in the series that are good for people with a tighter budget. If your child likes the trains but you can't buy a full track set, you can always buy a play mat that has track printed on them or you can get Thomas the Tank engine felt boards and stick-ups. I hope this review helps!!!!!!! ... Read more
