Things that make this game so great... 1. Exploring Hogwarts Grounds and flying on Buckbeak! Also their are 3 different seasons...fall with rain...Winter with beutiful snow and great winter music...and spring! The grounds are huge! Its amazing! You can even run around the two courtyards from the movies! On buckbeak, you can take off, and land anywhere on the grounds! 2. Being Harry Ron and Hermione! 3. The graphics are amazing, much better then the first two games! Harry Ron and Hermione dont look stupid like they did in the first 2 games! 4. graphics: 7/10 not really that great but u can tell the characters apart so its not that bad. gameplay: 6/10 followed the book pretty good. controls are easy. the game is overall easy. takes a while to load sometimes. sound: 5/10 the sound was ok at times and bad at times. the characters voices arent that good though. harry sounds like a whimp whenever he casts a spell. the castle is really bad in this game. it has too many rooms and is confusing to find out where you need to go. someone please tell me if this game is better on PS2, because i bought this game for PS1 before they came out with it on PS2, and i want to know if its the same or better and i dont want to rent it or buy it on PS2 if its the same. thanks ^_^ by the way: someone wrote a report saying they hate harry potter and they said "i hate harry potter sooooooooooooooooo much da look at me im harry potter dont let vole-de-mort kill me i have a scar i am special look at my scar". if u hate it sooooo much, then why are you wasting your time complaining about it when you could be looking at and reviewing stuff you actually like? you must have no life if you do that. dont you agree?
But, the game's graphics are good, the game play is just like the previous HP game. In a nutshell, this game is nowhere as good as Chamber of Secerets , but is still a good additive to your PS2 collection. I can't wait till November when Prisoner of Azkaban comes out on ps2!

And good luck trying to wrestle the game out of your friends' hands. It's incredibly playable; I've passed this game off randomly to friends, who invariably cackle maniacally, then yell "What the heck is this?" and then start cursing for the next half hour. Great sound, some rockin tunes, graphics that run the spectrum from sub-par to breathtaking, and gameplay that just won't quit. I've beaten the game, and there are so many unlockables left, I'm still fixated. More extras than you can shake a stick at. Worth the time and money.
A game that's fun and different

I'm a female in my mid 20 and I'm not a serious gamer, Mystery Mayhem is not all that challenging but finding all the goodies is time consuming enough to keep my interest. If you like the following girly kiddie games then rent don't by Mystery Mayhem: Monopoly, the Mario Parties, Shrek Party, any Mario Nintendo game, Simpson's Hit & Run and Road Rage. Night of 100 Frights is a masterpiece compared to Mystery Mayhem, but M.M. is not that bad.
Scooby-Doo Where Are You???
Not Nearly As Fun as Night of 100 Frights Some of the game is limited to side-scrolling and going to various doors, and it looks like the authors did not put very much time, money, or energy into making this Scooby Doo as fun to play or exciting as Night of 100 Frights. I was waiting readily for another Scooby Doo but was really disspointed to spend $40 on this version that is almost a port fo the GameBoy Advance version (it has some 3-D levels and the puzzles are harder, but it isn't that good). If you don't have Night of 100 Frights, then get that one over this title. You will have a better gaming experience. This game requires you to press a certain button countless times to capture ghosts and it's the same throughout the entire game. It gets really boriing and tiring on the fingers to take 30 hits to capture one ghost. How original (sarcasm). I don't recomment this game--save your money. The authors certainly did and it shows. Trust me. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review Things don't start out too well. Early in the game you're saddled with whatamounts to a flying brick, and are forced to fly a few boring mud-movingmissions. Stick with it, though. By the end of the game, you'll have earnedenough money to buy a hangar full of incredible aircraft, each with specialweapons, capabilities, and shortcomings. The F-14, for example, has a slow rollrate but can engage multiple targets at long range. The A-10 is horrible in adogfight, but is devastating down low. You'll need to familiarize yourself withall the planes, as picking the right plane for the job always spells thedifference between success and failure in the later missions. The game is nearly perfect in the audio department, with booming engine noises(taken from recordings of the planes' real-life counterparts) and constant radiochatter during missions. Graphically, it's a bit of a letdown, especially theanemic explosions. Up high, everything is picture perfect, and the plane modelsare gorgeous, but close to the ground the terrain melts into a pixilated mess. This is offset somewhat by the inclusion of dense urban areas and twistingcanyons that are thrilling to fly through. All things considered, ShatteredSkies is the best mix of simulation and arcade action ever burned onto adisc. --T. Byrl Baker Pros: Reviews (174)
I can't say enough about the graphics, they are just outstanding. The control scheme is easy to master and you can be up and running in no time at all. The levels load quickly so there's not a lot of wasted time, waiting to play a level. The sound is also outstanding. This game has varying degrees of difficulty and is beatable fairly quickly in the easy mode, but you can go through and play it on one of the harder settings and have just as much fun the second time around, especially when you use different types of aircraft and weapons. You'll also have the option actually taking off and landing in some of the missions, including the carrier based missions. You get a chance to refuel and rearm and even switch weapons to fight different kinds of enemies. Many of the missions require you to complete land based objectives only to have objectives added that include dogfights. This a great game, in reality I give it 4.5 stars but since that's not an option I chose 4 stars. If you love flight combat simulators, you will not be disappointed.
Rating AceCombat 04: Shattered Skies Graphics 10/10 ~There is also a EASY MODE for the control.

The elements in Sword of Mana are very similar to Secret but they don't flow as well. The gameplay is a such example. Sword of Mana is fun to play at first. The gameplay elements are awesome with all the weapons and items but then a few things start to stick out. One: Attacking isn't like in Secret of Mana. You have this three hit combo that for some reason is impossible to pull off. The power gauge at the bottom is nice but takes to long to charge (you do it by attacking enemies.) Another thing about the gameplay is simply that as you progress further, it becomes more frustrating. You start to miss enemies a lot and even taking out a simple enemy becomes more than its worth. Lastly, your AI character is an insult. They stand there, either casting spells like crazy or getting themselves killed. Its a hassle to keep them alive throughout the game. The ring menu is also different. In Secret of Mana the ring menu was fast, efficient and simple to use. In this...it's...not as easy, fast and efficient. Example: First I open up the Ring menue. Instead of it instantly flashing up like in Secret, it has to take time to open up. This isn't the gripe, let's keep moving. Next, I select the item icon. Again we watch it slowly flash to the next menu. THEN I have to choose a sub-category...ok...once that's done with I have to choose ANOTHER sub category depending on the icon I choose. Then you'll have to choose ANOTHER sub category. So when you open up the menu you'll be in it for a while. Rather than the ring menu they should've had the one similar to Legend of Mana. The music isn't nearly as good as the other two Mana games. Seeing as how Square took so much time to redevelope the game in revamping the graphics (which shower AMAZING detail) they didn't spend as much time on the music. Some tunes are good but a lot sound VERY 8-bit style. So much to the fact that they're annoying and repetative. The story and how its told is great though! The one thing that hasn't changed in the Mana series, great storytelling (Legend of Mana STILL had good story-telling with all its subplots). However, the dialogue is very stupid at times and the character developement isn't quite there. Sicne the game is so short we don't get enough time to learn as much about these characters as possible. Mix that in with the fact that whoever you don't choose in the beginning is absent from the story for long periods of time. Overall I was disappointed. The gameplay is what ruined the game for me. It's frustrating a lot of the time. The menu isn't easy to use anymore and monsters that can dodge anything isn't my idea of fun.
Graphics: 4/5 Sound: 3/5
Beautiful, Fun to Play
Now the game. As with the Mana series, it beats the walk around and fight turn based style by far. Yiu actually have to try and time your attacks on the enemies(especially bosses) which adds a good level of challenge. The character building is also a plus as you can put points into eventually changing classes that provide you with better abilities. Best of all in my opinion is the storyline. As you progress, many things unfold which make your character think and even question what he's doing all along. Much better than the standard go here and defeat whomever(a-la Zelda style) My unit has just 2 complaints. The character building. It is difficult to discern what you'll turn into. The most I've gotten was going Fighter-Knight-Warlord. That I did with some guessing. I suggest going online for a guide if you wish to end up like lets say a Paladin or something. The other one is the improvement of weapons. The "temper" system where you get a certain fruit or a vegetable and have it added to your weapon. It's benefits weren't real significant, adding only +1 to attack or such. What's the point of just a +1? And fruit? Last time I tried that, I got yelled at by the armorer for trying to add a banana to an M16. Damn game, putting ideas in my head. Anyway, this game is still a great, great must buy. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review The gameplay in Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec is the same as its predecessors;fans of the previous games will feel right at home, while newcomers will be ableto pick things up easily. There are more than 150 cars from which to choose, andplenty of tracks upon which to race them. Arcade mode works well for a quickfix, while simulation mode provides outstanding replay value. The sound effectsare impressive--each engine has a unique sound, and tire screeches fromdifferent cars sound noticeably different. The soundtrack is a good mix oforiginal compositions and a wide variety of recording artists, including MotleyCrue, Raekwon, Jimi Hendrix, and Snoop Dogg. One minor flaw with the game is its relatively predictable artificialintelligence. Computer-controlled cars follow distinct lines, and you'll be ableto pick up the patterns after a few races. Considering how far the graphics havecome since the original Gran Turismo, it's disappointing that the AIhasn't progressed similarly. Despite this, GT3 remains an outstandinggame. Few games offer its combination of high quality and immense variety.--Raymond M. Padilla Pros: Reviews (608)
It's almost as good as driving a real car. That's why I love it and give it five stars. But this same realism comes at a price. The game is not easy -- even in arcade mode. If you're not careful you're off the track and you've lost the race (just like in real life). To really appreciate GT3, you need to dedicate some time to taking the driving tests in the game. Completing the tests will earn you licenses so you can race "professionally." For anyone who has mastered GT2, this should be no problem. In any case, you need to acquire these licenses to "unlock" portions of the game. Bottom line: if you liked GT or GT2 I highly recommend GT3. It's simply the best pure driving game I've ever played. And it's the most realistic driving simulation I've ever seen on a console. If, however, you are looking for a quick, fun and easy to learn car based game, I don't think GT3 is for you. Check out Crazy Taxi (another great game) instead.
cool cool............... hint if you do buy this game and if u have enough money buy the pagani zonda and upgrade it all the way IT SUPER SUPER FAST YOULL LOVE IT!

The best sonic game ever relesed Cons: Overal its a exellent game i would recommend to people who like fast action E mail me and tell me what you think of my review my internet screen name is: Jordansempire@aol.com
Let me begin by stating that if you have a Gamecube, you may seriously want to consider purchasing the GC version over the PS2 version. The graphics and sound quality are, overall, superior. (I believe "Sonic Heroes" was developed for the GC, then ported over to the PS2/X-Box.) As for the X-Box version, I can't comment as I haven't tried it. I do own an X-Box in addition to the PS2 and GC, and perhaps will give it a rental try in the future. Given the hardware of the X-Box, I would be inclined to believe that the X-Box version is superior to the PS2 version as well -- but haven't played it, I really can't say. (Note: By no means am I down talking the PS2. I have a PS2 and there are many PS2 exclusive games for it that I couldn't live without.) I give "Sonic Heroes" 3.5 stars with the GC and 3 stars with the PS2. Having played Sonic since the Sega Genesis, I had looked forward (with some hesitation) to "Sonic Heroes". Its a decent game, to be sure, however there are issues that I would like to have seen resolved since the Dreamcast (and GC) "Sonic Adventures". The main issue being the camera control! The camera control has only been improved slightly since the "Adventures" and still has the player performing blind jumps in many situations. Overall, if you are a Sonic fan, you'll probably find enjoyment out of this game -- as I do. Implimenting three characters in gameplay, switching on the fly, taking advantage of their individual strengths, was an excellent model that Sega put together. I really like the gameplay. Its just unfortunate that the game wasn't "polished". Fixing the camera should have been the first priority. If you are a Sonic fan, again you'll probably get enjoyment. If not, then you'd definetly want to give this a rental before purchasing.
Exellent game,but..........
Well, Kids, Sonic is back and better than ever and now, thanks to some extremely brave and very, very well-executed gameplay changes, regains his foothold as the best platform hero in the world, bar none :-) Granted, it feels all wrong playing Sonic with a PS 2 pad, but I know I speak for us all when I say I'd rather have Sega Games this way than not at all. Sonic Heroes consists of all the usual levels - Seaside Hill Zone, Casino Nite Zone, etc., but it's in the teamwork where this game excels. Now, instead of just playing as one Hedgehog or one Echidna or one Bat or whatever, you have to employ teamwork across a cast of three characters per level in order to beat the game. There are 4 teams, so 12 playable characters in all - and range from Staples like Team Sonic (Sonic, Knuckles and Tails) to past characters (Rose the Bat, Big the Cat and Espiosa the... purple thing) to downright oddball characters (Charmy the Bee, for instance). On each team, one character is good for speed, one for strength and one for flying, and you do need to make good use of each character to beat the level you're currently playing. Also, the teams are graded in terms of difficulty, so beginners can start with Team Rose and work their way up, frustration-free. This adds a huge sense of fun to the game, as well as keeping the Sonic concept fresh and exciting: hedgehog-runs-along-flat-plane is dull-dull-dull, but for the speed freaks the bonus levels are all about speed, and highly reminiscent of the Bonus Stages from Sonic 2. Similarly excellent is the presentation, as one would expect from a Sega game - there are a wealth of options to be unlocked, like new modes of play, the fabulous CG movies, different voices for the characters etc. - all of which makes for an excellent gaming experience. Thoroughly recommended, this is another feather in Sega's cap and one of my personal favourite Sonic games to date. Enjoy! ... Read more

The game is nothing new and is really bland. The graphics are dated and look rather dull. I would not recommend this game to anyone who had bought the last one. Look out for Jak 3 or Ratchet & Clank 3, they are much better games and look a hundred times better. I played all three games and this was the boring one! Is this for real? This game looks pants. I was hoping it would be better then the last one, but in fact it's worse. The game has cut-scene after cut-scene and no real fun factor. ... Read more

The biggest letdown is the lack of any vocal work in it. "Max Payne" for GBA showed us it could be done, I just wish the Spider-Man team had taken advantage of it. Mostly a good (if somewhat repetitive) game. You'll probably like it.
