roll top jump
Altough I have been delighted by all of my past experiences with breyer products, this one in particular does not seem very durable. On the bottom of the wooden part of the jump, one of the arch shaped wooden blocks that helps hold the fence up has broken off. This is something that can easily be fixed with a little help from a hot glue gun. The green part of the jump has flaky plastic green material that gets slightly messy when I play with it. This jump was meant to be used by someone in a model horse show who wanted a realistic prop. If you're looking for a toy, I'd suggest one of breyers all wooden jumps. If you buy this though, it is mostly good and any die-hard horse enthusiast will enjoy having imaginary shows with this one! ... Read more

A great Horse
Diablo is a great horse. I'm a young collector,but I love to play .Diablo is in a nice pose and is sort of short & stout.He has one blue eye and one black one (or at least mine does).He is more of a western riding horse,not realy an english riding horse.He is veary durable,he holds up to my play(wich is a lot).He's a beautiful color,a nice black&white,is traditional size and comes with a video. Looks Like He Will Prance Right Off My Shelf!
This is a wonderful piece with the nice addition of Slew's blanket of roses from his winning Kentucky Derby. The likeness is remarkable, the quality and attention to detail top-notch. Breyer horses have come a long way since I was a kid, that's for sure! Slew has an honored place next to Affirmed and Secretariat in my china cabinet.

Huckleberry Bey
I think it is a very fun toy to play with and it is very pretty. He is a must for all horse lovers and/or Breyer collectors.

BEAUTIFUL BEY
Because I am a horse artist, I had to have this model when I first laid eyes on it. The real beauty of the horse is so well captured by Kathleen Moody. I am so drawn to this model because Kathleen has truely recreated the passion, strength, and movement of Huckleberry Bey. I can take it off the shelf and feel real inspiration to create my drawings. Because it won't stand on it's own - a clear balance disc is attached to the right front leg. It will stand balanced alone on the shelf just fine, but it is precarious at best. One of my favorite toys from my childhood was the Breyer rearing stallion that used it's tail for balance. I passed it on to my younger cousin who also loved horses. She in turn passed it on to her daughter. That was a span of about 25 years and I am afraid the balance disc on the Bey wouldn't last through a week of the average childs' admiration. I would strongly suggest adding this model to your collection as it is one of Breyers' best, but I wouldn't recommend it will withstand a childs freespirited play without damage.

Huckleberry Bey, good and bad n' fragile
Huckleberry Bey is a beautiful horse, with a dynamic move and a determined expression on his face. Huckleberry Bey is a well known Arabian stallion, famous for his children and for his quality at shows. This model is sculpted by Kathleen Moody, who is one of the more popular sculpters of Breyer horses. However, the model does not stand well, and requires a clear disk under one of the hooves to stand. Huckleberry Bey is more fragile than most Breyer models, and I would not recommend this model for children who are known to be very rowdy with their toys (breaking them, scratching them, etc.) but it is a good piece of a collection of Breyer horses. This model often wins at shows, (which really isn't fair to some people at shows) so if you are a shower, you NEED a Huckleberry Bey model! ... Read more

A beautiful addition to any Breyer collection
Using the ever-popular "San Domingo" mold, Breyer offers this gorgeous paint. With the wonderful hand painted details, this lovely boy is sure to dress up any collector's shelf.

Sculpted in 1978 by Chris Hess, this mold has been popular with Breyer collectors for 25 years. With his flashy new paint job, he's sure to make an appearance at many collector shows. His calm walking pose makes him a good choice for beginning showers interested in performance classes.

Recommended for ages 8 and up, he's sure to find his way to Barbie's pasture, as well as the show ring. It is important to remember, however, that because he is hand painted he is likely to suffer a few "rubs" and scratches in the hands of smaller collectors. While his legs are a bit thicker than the smaller sized models, they will snap with enough pressure.
