Shelby's review
I gets annoying when it messes up but it can be fixed easily. Its pretty fun.

Want speed, you got it!
This Small Rc veicles are great. I built a race track out of plastic pvc, and have raced this good looking minis. I disagree with the person who said the charge does not last long.
It suprisingly does last long. In fact, it had about 2 min of fast speed charge right out of the box without any charge. A full charge will last you about 6-7 min and be fully recharged in about 30-45sec. What more do you want???
I think the best feature of this toy is the remote control. Most mini Rc's have generic remotes wich make it hard to maneuver. This cars can handle jumps, make 180' turns and even short side wheelies. The only down side is you can only race two cars, because there are only two frequencies 49Mhz & 26Mhz. If you want to race more veicles you can get the zip-zaps SC. They are smaller and not as fast. Anyways, get this Rc's if you want speed (even more with the upgrades), great performannce and good loking replica cars. Have fun!

awsome!!!!
these cars are fast and the paintjobs are awsome look just like the moviebut the charge doesnt last that long ... Read more

Supersonic Speedway
I agree that it is difficult to get the Supersonic Speedway together (mentioned by another review). Once I figured out that it worked best to put the connecting ends of track into the track supports separately, it went much faster. Also, make sure that the long side of the curves go on the straightaway side, the end should be very narrow. The only way to get the cars to make it all the way up and around is to place them on the silver tab, facing toward the tower, behind the whit plastic stopper. Slide the control all the way away from the tower to set up. Then slide it back as hard as you can, which releases the car. My kids were able to work it once they knew how, but I don't think it is as fun as it looks like it might be. Also, it could use some better instructions for assembly and for use.

SUPERSONIC SPEEDWAY ITEM #ON BOX IS 5980
I RECENTLY BOUGHT A FASTLANE SUPERSONIC SPEEDWAY ITEM #5980 ... FOR MY GRANDSON. IT COVERS AN ENTIRE EIGHT FOOT TABLE WITH DOUBLE TRACKS AND DOUBLE LOOPS FOR THE CARS WHICH ARE NOT ELECTRICAL BUT ARE PROPELLED BY MECHANICAL MEANS. AFTER SPENDING HOURS TRYING TO GET IT ASSEMBLED I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO MAKE IT WORK. I FEEL THIS IS NOT THE QUALITY OF ITEM I EXPECT FROM [TRU]... ... Read more

eats batteries
My 3 year son loves construction equipment, so when we saw this set, he had to have it. The crane needs 6 aa batteries for it to work, 2 for the remote and 4 for the crane itself. After 2 hours of playing the remote needed new batteries, the next morning the crane needed new batteries. My son did not even play constantly with the crane during the 2 hrs he played with it. The crane also makes sounds while operating and the sounds are extremely loud. You cannot turn off the sound. The base of the crane gets very hot while playing with it. My son enjoyed playing with the trucks that came with the set. This set would be nice without the crane. ... Read more

review
These are sweet. They arent that fast but they are fast enough.
I've had one since this Christmas and im hooked. These are the best. These toys are fun to mess around with. They are really durable, they dont flip. The educational value is nothin really but they are really fun.

The Skyline Is The BEST!
this is the best remote control ever. the skyline is a high performance car. this is by far the best car out there!

Takes two to tango
This car is a great thing to buy, BUT to really have fun with it, you have to have two playing at a time. Just playing with the car for a few minutes by yourself, gets boring after a few minutes or so. You need a friend to buy another one so you can race. Thats what makes this toy GREAT. So take my advice, "NO friends, NO buy".

TWO BIG Problems
The cars are fast and responsive. They seem very duralbe and the charge lasted much longer than i expected. Big Problem number one....there are ONLY TWO channels (that means only two cars can race at a time...no fun!!!) Big Probelm number two.....its fast or off...they lack variable speed control like other brands (This makes the cars very hard to control).

DiGiTy DiGiTy DiGiTy
yo ive been usin zipzaps for like 2 months. But, once i saw the comercial for these... i was in love. i mean there much faster and durable and i think there alot more fun too!!! get one or u hav no life lol peace!!! ... Read more

Editorial Review

Owning one's own racecar is a little bit beyond the financial means of most of us but picking up a remote controlled version provides at least some of the same thrills. This scale model Mitsubishi Eclipse Spider is decked out in blues and whites and seems appropriately decaled for racing. It operates at a 27 MHz frequency with the assistance of a 9.6-volt nickel-cadmium battery pack that affords up to four hours of continuous operation. The main point of differentiation between this convertible Spider and other RC cars appears to be a "spin out drifting action" which makes for dramatic moments in the car's ride. While that move is nice and does look cool, it gets a little old once mastered. Still, this is a sold RC car with impressive relative speed and should be a popular addition to one's not-quite-real fleet. --Charlie Williams ... Read more

Editorial Review

Sporting a silver body, green and pink streaks on the sides, and a spoiler on the back, this Mitsubishi convertible is controlled by a seven-function remote fueled by a 9-volt battery. Levers enable the car to go forward or backward, or turn left or right, while buttons on the top of the remote activates the car's "turbo speed" and puts it into a counter-clockwise spin. A four-hour quick charger keeps the car primed. The detailing is mediocre, and the construction is fairly flimsy and lightweight, though that probably helps the car attain top speeds. --Andy Boynton ... Read more

Speed Racer
The Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder is like SO AWESOME! Especially for a frequency of 49mhz. I went to my friends house and I was impressed on how good it was on riding grass and going fast. When I pressed the A&B button at the same time, it went MAD fast! When I pressed A then B eventually, it spun. It uses a 9.6 volt Ni-Cad battery pack that's pretty big, especially when it takes 4 hours to charge. It even has neon light under it. When I went to my friends house, we raced with the car. So if you have some deniro, (...). And When you need a new charger(...). So if u want a "COOL" car, get the Mitsubishi. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Get down 'n' dirty in the mud! This fat-tired monster truck is ready to mow over rough terrain. The truck features include four wheel drive for handling rough terrain, differential gears for all wheel traction and a high and low gear selector for slow maneuvering and hill-climbing or high speeds on a level straight away. This sweet cherry red truck is ready to run and includes a 9-volt battery for the remote and offers full function four-way controls, enabling the truck to move left, right, forward, and in reverse. After four hours of charging the 9.6-volt ni-cad battery pack in the included charger, this truck is ready to hit the racecourse. The Supertruck from Fast Lane operates on a frequency of 27 megahertz so for a successful monster truck rally, other trucks need to run on different frequencies. This truck is not recommended for driving on grass, but works well on pavement, gravel, mud, or dirt. ... Read more

Fast Lane Super Slicks
I am 12 year old luke of Salt Lake City Utah, and I am very satisfied with the quality, detail, and the overall fun of this RC car. It is very fast out of the box compared to other 1:43 RC cars, and looks almost like a diecast toy. It has a durable, highly adaptable chassis with easy means of accessing the motor, gears, and axles. There are also upgrade kits which include 2 different motors, gear ratios, wheels, and tires that all give different attributes. There are higher torque, and higher rpm motors. The green color coded ones have higher torque, but very lower rpm's, the orange variety is medium, and the light red variety has the highest rpm's. the tune-up kit(which costs approximately $...) includes the red and orange, and the starter set has the green variety. The value and upgradability easily makes up for the high price of $.... I reccomend this product to all.

Buy These Cars!!!!
I have never been more impressed with a toy right out of the box as I was with this one. The cars are well detailed and they are really fun to drive. I got one for my son for Christmas and I took a chance and got one for myself as well. I opened mine up last night to test it and I played with it for an hour! And I'm 39. It really steers pretty good and even has an aliginment adjustment for the front wheels! It powers up in about 2 to 3 minutes and they go pretty fast. The only downside is that it only has a 5-10 foot range on the controller but that really didn't bother me. It uses 3 AAA batteries for the charger part and one 9v for the transmitter part. Do yourself a favor and go to Amazon.com and buy some energizer rechargable batteries. It will save you tons of money and all those trips to the store for batteries. This thing only costs $20!!! You can't beat that. My ... daugter saw me playing with this toy and wanted one herself. I got her a blue mini cooper. I can't wait for the big race on Christmas day!!! Now Toys R Us, get busy on a white 1970 Dodge Challenger!!!!! and hurry it up!!! you got a good thing here! ... Read more

IT'S COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it's the coolest toy ever! It's never bin broke in the 2yrs I have had it. And it's fast.

best boat
This boat is good looking. and same with the car. the car is fast and turns good.

Two Cool Toys in One
I wanted to give my 8 year old son a remote controlled boat for his birthday but since we live in the desert, there aren't many ponds or lakes around (there are a few). My wife suggested a remote control truck and I was pleasantly surprised when I found this two-in-one deal. I was skeptical at first since the truck was only 6 volts but now that we've had it for a few days and have been playing with it, I think it's an excellent value and a fun toy. The truck is pretty fast and is full motion. There is a slight delay when you use the remote control to turn left or right but when outside it's not bad. It seems durable - we've run it into rocks, drove it off of chairs and flipped it a few times and it's still running. The range isn't spectacular (across the yard mostly) but it's not bad. The trailer does attach but it doesn't turn too well when attached (no swivelling hitch). The boat is a lot of fun too (also full motion) and uses the same remote control. The boat is pretty fast, actually. It uses AA batteries so no recharging needed. The quality of the water seal and battery compartment is excellent from what I can tell. For the price, this is an excellent toy and I'm very glad I made the decision to buy it. ... Read more

the best toy
the toy escalade is the best toy out (...)

Only Half Done
First off, let me say that this toy is pretty pimp. It's a metallic orange Cadillac Escalade EXT rollin on dubs. And it's remote controlled! If you're like me, you understand why this is a cool toy. However, I do have some issues with it. Mainly the fact that the rims are made too look like "spinners" but in reality they are not, they do not spin. I also think more detail should be put into the headlights and tail lights. but then again, what can i expect for only $20, right? Basically, I recommend to the manufacturer that if you're going to continue this line of "hip-hop styled" vehicles, pay more attention to detail, get rid of the external antenna, and add some features. Of course, you'd have to raise the price, but speaking for myself and prolly just about everyone else I know who collect the same things I do, it will still sell. If the changes were made, I would easily pay $50-$60 for this item. Just a couple thoughts, Anyway, if you want a pimp-toy to cruise around your living room, this is definitely it. ... Read more
