A good Joe, all in all
Nice touches: "reversed" American expeditionary flag on right shoulder, subdued 10th Mtn Div patch on left shoulder (but, mysteriously, no "mountain" tab)

Good stuff: it stands easily and securely on the skis without needing external support . Cool accessories: skis, poles, M4, canteen, bayonet with scabbard, utility belt, white cold-weather boots, and O.D knit cap. This Joe comes with a "muscle torso" and molded black fingerless gloves -- which, combined with the baggy white drawstring trousers that look a lot like karate pants, makes 10th Mtn Div Joe good for martial arts dioramas, too!

Minor disappointments: the remainder of the accessories consisted of 2 M-16 ammo pouches, 2 field dressing pouches, and a rucksack that doesn't have suspenders. What's up with that? If he's going to come with TA-50, he might as well have the suspenders so it will all fit on him.

It's great that GI Joe is honoring the 10th Mtn Div, especially with their...service in Afghanistan...

They should have stayed with the other guy
I am a fan of GI Joes. This figure comes with an M4 assault rifle with RIS Integrated Rail System and an M68 sight, which is the same as the one that comes with the old 10th Mountain Division Echo figure I have.
In Christmas 2002 I got the 10th Mountain Division Echo figure, which is the same figure, for the same price, but with a lot more accesories. In 2002 it was taken off the shelves due to lack of interest. The Echo figure comes with both full Woodland AND Overwhite camo BDUs. The Echo figure also comes with a VERY nice webbing set, PASGT helmet with a white cover (which is NOT supposed to come off, believe me), gas mask, and the skis that come with ths Elite figure.
If I were going to buy this figure, I would think again. If you go onto EBAY or an independant dealer site you might still be able to find the earlier version, which is much better. ... Read more

This is a must have Gi Joe toy.
This is THE best GI Joe two-pack so far.It comes with a okay Duke and a blowout Venomous Maximus.Venomous Maximus is the best action figure so far.He looks like a roman gladiator/viking warrior rolled up in one.Every inch of him screams POWER(and he has brains too if you look at his file card)!!!!! He has 12 points of articulation and comes with a removable cape that actually stays when you put it on.His joints are tight but not so much that you can't play with him.He is very detailed and looks very realistic. His left arm is huge and mutated and looks like it could tearoff Duke's head with one pull. He is bigger than the other joes and looks tall and frightening when placed next to them. His weapons are a very cool looking staff that when placed in that mutated arm I can imagine doing a lot of damage to poor Duke. He also comes with a small dagger.Venomous Maximus is worth the $6.00 all by himself and is worth your money. Now for Duke. Duke is okay he has 12 points of articulation also but is nowhere near as detailed as VM. His weapons are good however. His rifle separates into 3 pieces(so don't worry if it comes apart, it's NOT broken) and is very neat. Other than that there is nothing else to say about Duke other than that this version is much better than his butt-plug version.Overall I would buy this pack for Venomous Maximus alone because he is a must have for any GI Joe fan. ... Overkill comes with a must have mind control table.
This GI Joe pack is a VERY good buy because it comes with Overkill leader of the BATS and(finally) the head hancho General Albernathy. What is great about this package is that we finally have the head of GI Joe. I mean, somebody was calling the shots who was higher than Duke. Overkill is very detailed and comes with a removable gun and claw. He has 10 points of articulation and is very durable. Other than that there is nothing else to say about him other than HE HAS THE BEST PIECE OF EQUIPMENT EVER!!!!!! The mind control chair alone I would pay $3.00 for. It is HIGHLY detailed and has restraints that ANY GI Joe's hands can fit into. On the back it also has these spikes that help it stay UPRIGHT and also double as a weapon(hate to see what happens if that thing falls on you).GA is detailed also and is the only GA around. He has 10 points of articulation and is also the head of GI Joe. This set is also a must have second only to the Duke vs Venomous Maximus two pack. ... Read more
