grab shell dude!
Alex got this for Christmas and absolutely loves it! This is neck and neck w/Lion King as his favorite LeapPad book. The best part for the 'big people' in the house are the jellyfish game and the turtle game.

Finding fun with Nemo
My son is a big fan of Finding Nemo so this is, naturally, his favorite Leap Pad book right now. It has fun games with different facts about ocean creatures which my son loves.

So, as usual, another fun book from Leap Pad that I highly recommend.

Great Toy!
My kids, Ally 3.5 years, Christopher 4.5 years, and Matthew 6 years, adored this LeapFrog book. They are huge Finding Nemo fans. They have the VHS, the DVD, the X-Box game, Christopher has the bed set, we have the stuffed animals, the plates, the cups, the bowls, EVERYTHING NEMO! I saw this book in the store and I knew that Nemo's #1 Fans would love it. My boy's both have Leap Pads. My daughter Ally has the My First Leap Pad for younger kids. The only problem was the kids fighting over who was going to get to "read" it next.

Finding Nemo is great!
My almost 4 year old daugther loves this book! She explores with it all the time. The story is a condensed version of the movie. The book also allows children to explore different facts about the sea and it's creatures. I highly recommend it.

Great for Nemo Lovers of all Ages
I got this for my 2 1/2 year old daughter as an intro into her big brothers Leap Pad system. She adores Nemo, and this is the only Leap Pad book that will hold her attention. She can sit with it for about 30 minutes, which is a lifetime for a 2 year old. The picutes are cute, drawings, not the computer generated pictures of the movie. The story is very abbreviated, but hits most of the points. The voices are good, though Albert Brooks is noticebly missing as Marlin. The games are not great, but the educational value is high, for learning about the ocean and its inhabitants. I would recommend this book to anyone with a Nemo Lover or anyone interested in fish and the ocean. ... Read more

FINDING NEMO IS A COOL GAME
I think Finding Nemo is a cool game! It has like 2 parts to each level! It's fun! I'm on the last level. The only thing that I don't like about it, is that when I start playing it, I get a headache! You will probably NOT have the same problem though. That's the only reason why I rated it 4 stars.

I had $40 in my wallet, and wanted to buy this game. So, I read the reviews. At that time, the reviews were all saying: This is too easy, or this is too hard, I don't like this game, and all that stuff. I was afraid I wasn't going to like it! But you know, you don't have to believe other people's reviews, because it's only their OPINION! Everyone is different.

I got pacman games for Christmas, and I loved them. I thought that, "If I like PACMAN, which is just a little ball eating little dots, I'll LOVE Finding Nemo!" Ended up, I got it the NEXT DAY! And I didn't even click on express shipping! I loved it! It's a little easy, and a little hard. OVERALL, it is a great game. This is only my opinion of course, but I hope this review was helpful.

An utter disappointment for an adult...
The ONLY reason I gave this game 2 stars is because I imagine if I were 15 years younger I would have enjoyed it...at least slightly. The graphics are your basic GBA graphics, as well as the sound....but ZERO difficulty or challenge for a gamer of the adult kind. Literally, I bought this game one afternoon, played it for about 20 minutes at work, got home from work and had it beat before dinner. It goes along the story line of the movie, and in between challenges you hear the movie retold on narrative screens. You can't go back and replay any of the levels-not that there's any need to since you can't really beat them w/o finding everything to begin with. I guess the dumbest part was collecting star rings to be given multiple chances at a matching game in between each level, but the matching games hold no relevance or benefits to the game whatsoever...

I was just very disappointed-I traded it off for another game the very next day.

Fun until you get to the level w/ Bruce
This is a great game and had fun playing it until I got to the level with bruce the shark. First of, you have to swim through the field of mines and its really hard because they are all really close together. The one time I did make it past that I found out that the next level is rrrrreeeeeaaaaalllllly hard!!!!!!!! It's the part where Bruce goes mean and is trying to eat you. You have to dash away really fast before he catches you WHILE dodging walls and other things. It might sound easy but it's not! I suggest you don't buy this game and spend your money on a different game.

Great game!
My son received this game for his fifth birthday. It is a great game. He has lots of fun playing it. You alternate between being Nemo and Marlin. Some of the levels are a little too hard for him and he needs some help to get past them, but overall I think it is a great game and not too hard, even for my young son. I also enjoy playing it, so it is great for multiple players in the household!

Great but challenging...
In the game you play as two different characters; nemo and marlin. You have to get past many different obstacles in each level, and passwords are given each time a level is passed, if you want to be able to go back to that same level. I found that the game had great graphics, and the music was neat, but it was a little hard for younger children. You see, my sister got this game, she's seven, and could only get past the first two levels. The rest I had to beat if she wanted to play them.

Pros:
-Great Graphics, very detailed and clear
-Great Sound
-Challenging; you won't beat the game the day after you get it.

Cons:
-Can be too hard for children around 7 and under, otherwise it is a good difficulty level
-Some levels get a bit frustrating, you have to wonder around trying to finish
-The levels often make you do the same thing over and over, can get a bit dull

Overall it is a great game if you are older and up to the challenge, but definetly do not buy for younger children, it will be way to hard. Even I had troubles with some of the parts, and I'm older. ... Read more

2yearold loved it
my son is obsessed with Nemo and this just makes swimming much more fun for him and less nerve recking for myself.

VERY LIFE LIKE JUST LIKE NEMO
I got this item at a local toysrus store in east brunswick nj. As you can see from the pictures this is actually nemo(the small flipper) So like in the movie he swims lop sided this is how it does here. So when you put it in the water it always swims to he left.
overall really fun item. I droped it off my deck like 3 times and its still working great
and it only takes one batery!!!!!!!!

Five Stars ONLY Because it's "Finding Nemo"
I am giving this game 5 stars because "Finding Nemo" is the best movie ever and I don't have the heart to rate any FN product with fewer than 5 stars out of 5, a perfect score, 'kay? But before you lukewarm Nemo fans go rush out and buy it, hear me out. This is for hardcore FN-worshipping maniacs/fanatics only. Not only that, but they MUST be over 12 years of age (unless they're extremely intelligent video game afficionados.) The PC game was almost too easy, but this game is exceedingly difficult, I must warn potential players. Now, aside from having adorable scenes, all the characters, and their original voice actors, there are things I should make you aware of. First, there's a lot of repitition in it. You finally get through one part, thinking you've done it, and they make you go through the same really hard thing twice more. The races and chases (especially with a current of water pushing you off-course) are particularly time-consuming, not because of length but because of sheer difficulty and the number of frustrating times you'll be required to attempt them. And as for those sliding tile puzzles, forget it! I spent over an hour trying to work out the one of those pipes in the submarine.

Now, I am 16. I'm not exactly a great video game player, but I am having trouble with this game. There are times when you want to tear out your hair and scream, "What do you want from me?!?" because you've done every possible thing you can think of and you're still not beating the level. A few problems:
1. Forget the little Mario "life-pies." You don't just lose energy when something bad happens to you along the way (which is, inevitably, very frequent.) And then, they start you ALL the way at the beginning! Luckily, anything you've defeated up to that point remains gone, but you still must go through the bloody course again before you get another chance. The only way to avoid this is to gather krill--and you lose multiple krill every time you get hurt. They're not much help. It's a no-win situation, usually.
2. Forget assistance from the instruction manual. It's useless. It gives you no hints, no directions on what to do or where to go. You're left entirely on your own. How you're supposed to get out of the water treatment plant, I don't know, I need help. I've only had the game two days. But still.
3. The bonus game with the moonfish and their shapeshifting is, as far as I can tell, bogus. They show you a shape that looks like...well, absolutely nothing at all. A blob. You figure out which character it is, then click on them. Sadly, the fish show you two shapes at once! And then, no matter WHO you click on, you're marked wrong! So it's a truly impossible game.

The game has its strong points. The characters are funny, the animation is cool, they show you pretty pictures and the trailer. The game DOES NOT curse. Some of the levels are challenging without being absurd. It's great for teens with alot of free time on their hands. But it's NOT a little childrens' game. Much too difficult. But as fed-up with this as I may sound, it's NOT a disappointment. Rather, I feel it's a good time. *laugh* After all, it's "Finding Nemo"....it HAS to be good.

NEMO RULES!
I am a finding nemo fan, and when I saw the movie, I knew
that I was in love with it. The game itself is beutifle and fun.
I like the games where you have to chase stuff, or when you are running away from something...Well anyways, I hope you enjoy the game as much as I do.

snails
Someone asked about the snail thing and I had trouble with this part too but eventually figured it out. Start at the part with just two snails and then work your way over to the other end, but there's only enough time to bounce on each snail one time so move quickly. Hope that helps.

Too hard for its audience--kids; don't buy
I'm glad I rented this first before buying--because neither my 6-year-old, 10-year-old, nor me or my husband can get past the follow-Bruce-the-shark-past-the-landmines section. Another reviewer rated this game highly, but they had only played for an hour and hadn't gotten past Catch Dory (which my kids liked). When you get to the land mines, the game is basically over since you can't get past it. What were the makers thinking--creating a game for kids that no kid can successfully play? Mine have worked for a solid 2 hours trying to get past this part (even my 10-year-old son who is GOOD at manipulating video game controls) and just can't. Beautiful graphics and animation, but they're worthless if the kids can't play it. Don't buy it.

I agree - Too difficult for the kids
This game is just too difficult for a small child. I suggest Spongebob - Battle for Bikini Bottom.

Too difficult for little kids to play !
I bought this game, so my 5-year-old daughter can have a game that she could play by herself. After playing a couple of levels, she couldn't move on to next level any more without me playing for her. Don't be fooled by the title and cute graphics. This game turned out to be one of the hardest games I've ever played. It was harder than some of the mature rated.
Its control scheme is rather simple, but the actual in game control is way too difficult to master for little children. The graphic is impressive, but sometimes it's too hard to control the characters in that pretty 3-D underwater environment. And also the game gets too confusing in some levels, and there isn't any in-game help.
If you are looking for a game for your kids to play by themselves, skip this title. Unless you plan to play almost the entire game for your kids, so they can watch you.

Disney should have spent a little more time on this one!
What a disappointment. This game starts out so fun and lighthearted, with beautiful graphics and fun games. Then within a matter of a few levels it goes from fun to nearly impossible. My 6 year old, who is a master at games like the Hobbit, Blackstone and Star Wars, gave up on it. It was frustrating for all of us, who never had the patience to get past the "pipeline". Thankfully, we had rented it - which we took back and were able to get them to exchange it out. Don't waste your money on this one. The games on the Finding Nemo DVD are much more fun than this!

Finding Nemo Fans Will Love This Toy!
My kids are 3,4,and 6 and they love Finding Nemo. They have everything that has to do with Finding Nemo. We have an X-Box and they got this for a Christmas present from Their Aunt, Uncle and Cousins. All right, let's face it...
A plush fish, no matter what kind, (Blue Tang) what color, (uh... blue...) or what character, (DORY!) will never educate you. But you can collect 'em, hug 'em and love 'em forever! Finding Nemo is an excellent movie. After all, so few inspire me to rush out for a special Dory plush!

Loading Nemo
Finding Nemo - for the Gamecube is a decent game
good graphics
good music, BUT the music very noticably loops with a full stop in between
the game isn't really for the younger kids
my 8 year old was able to play some of it, but mostly kept handing the controller to her mother and I for assistance
cute characters, even our cat likes to watch it
but the absolute worst part of the game?
the load time, horrible, horrible, horrible
you can literally go and grab a snack between loads
and you even have to wait for the game to load going back to the main game screen
So to summarize, music could be less "broken"
load time needs to be a TON better
and if it's truly for the younger kids, difficulty is a tad high
still decent game, overall

Not Much Play Time!
I was very disappointed when I bought this game for my home -- it actually gets the least amount of play time of all the games in our collection.

The graphics are great, but the amount of time you have to wait for the segments to load is enough to have you load an entirely new game. The load time is much too long.

Loading Time
This game is ok but it takes entirely too long to load. When you first turn it on it has to load for about 1-2 minutes literaly, then it starts out with Nemo waking his dad, like in the movie, to go to school then, it has to load again for about 1-2 minutes. Then, you make it to school and it stops to load a third time!

It doesn't hold my children's interest(6 and 4)and I think getting to school is the furthest that they've made it and they end up turning it off. My opinion is a strong "don't waste your money!" Rent it first and then make your decision!

This game is the total best! With same clips from the video, you dont even need to watch the movie to jump right into the game. It is challenging but a little kid could play it,too. Good graphics, lots of fun. Brings in parts from all the movie. play with nemos friends. Some of the game you are nemo some of the game you are his dad trying to find him. A great game and a must buy! I am a person that plays the reality games (animal crossing, sims...) becuase I am not good at games like... breaking da rules (fairly odd parents) I can not do the jumps and stuff. in the racings games I cant go in a circle...but I love this game! ... My 4 year old really enjoys this game
My recently turned 4 y.o. boy loves this game. Some games are a bit difficult, even for an adult (the lob-the-kelp-ball into the shark's mouth game), but as a whole, the game is a keeper. There are cool clips of the movie, the music is not annoying, and some of the games are educational (there is a music composition game and a memory game). The sea turtle racing game is so fun, I find myself finishing my son's games when he tires of it! Knock on wood, so far we've had the game for months with no software glitches. We use Windows XP.

Fun for the kids and the grown-ups!!!
Very cool!! Even though I hardly ever play it, stragety is the name of this game. Try and be the first player to get Nemo back home to his anemone. This kinda reminds me of an old Pocahontas game I have. Overall, it's very cute, fun, and educational.

My four-year-old son received this game as a gift. He is a huge Nemo fan. At first, we thought the game might be too complicated for him, but after a few run-throughs, he got the hang of it. After a couple of weeks of playing the game every day, he wins most of the time. This game teaches children to think strategy. It's terrific and I highly recommend it. You wouldn't think a turtle could be cuddly. Charming, yes. Gentle, of course. But fortunately, this plush re-creation of Squirt from Pixar's wonderful film Finding Nemo is also plenty soft enough to snuggle. He measures about 10 inches long and is done up in greens and browns with a floral pattern on the back of his shell. His eyes are made of hard plastic, but the rest is all soft and squeezable.
