favorite toy 7 months later!
I gave this bag to my then 3 year old daughter for Christmas and she was immediately entranced. She carries it around with her everywhere and as it is well-made, it stands up to all the travelling and playing! There is enough room to put other treasures in the bag. Highly recommended for any little girl who wants to "be like Mommy".

Big Fun for a Little Girl!
I bought this for my daughter's 2nd birthday and she loves it! She puts everything in her purse, puts it on her arm and says "Bye!" All the contents are very durable, but the wallet is a little hard for her to figure out with her little fingers. I'm sure she'll get it in time, though! She gives everybody (daddy included!) a "SWIPE" of lipstick - many times even on the lips! Sometimes only on the chin! :)

Not all toys have to be "educational" - sometimes they should just be fun! Little girls like to pretend they're big girls, and this little purse is a great product for little imaginations!

A Little Woman
My 15 month old daughter loved when I gave her this . She always tried to carry my pocketbooks around, so when she got one of her own, she tried to put evrything in it. She especially loves the cell phone. It makes her feel just like mommy

My Daughter Won't Put It Down!!!
My daughter just got this for her 2nd birthday a week ago and out of all the toys she received, she will not put this one down. She has a hard time although opening the small plastic purple case that holds the fake credit card and that can sometimes cause a problem. Would highly recommend for a little girl who is constantly "stealing" mommy's purse, keys and cell phone! Thanks...I can finally have mine back!!!

My daughter rec'd this purse for her 2nd Christmas when she was 15 months. She is now 2 1/2 years and still LOVES it! I babysit children during the day and they all play with it constantly. good fun
My daughters(4year old, 2year old and 9 mos) love this toy. The keys are a little hard to hit but they seem to really enjoy it. The baby enjoys trying to play it but likes watching her sisters play it more.

A good example of a young child's keyboard
This is pretty good. It is one of those plastic - roll out type keyboard, which allows it to be both a very big toy and easily stored at the same time. The sounds are not brilliant, and as I assume they must have used samples this cuold easily have been improved (the quack only just sounds like a quack for example). The keyboard could also have been made better by including two octaves, and some black notes. If the makers want us to treat these toys as educational, then they must assume that they are a prelude to a child working with a piano type keyboard, so some sharps and flats would help. These two niggles aside, this is a fun item, and very easy for little ones to use.

GREAT FOR PRESCHOOLERS!
THIS PIANO IS EXCELLENT FOR LITTLE HANDS TO PRACTICE ON AND FOR LITTLE EARS TO LISTEN TO. MY 2 LITTLE GIRLS (17 MONTH OLD AND 4 YEAR OLD) LOVE IT. I ALSO TEACH MUSIC TO A GROUP OF 3-5 YEAR OLDS AND THEY REALLY ENJOY PLAYING IT. VERY EASY FOR THEM TO OPERATE AND GREAT FOR FAMILIARIZING THEM WITH MUSICAL SCALE AND DIFFERENT SOUNDS.

Not what I expected
This is not really a practical toy. My son gets discouraged, because you have to press on the keys really hard and in order to follow the music you have to be rough. It's like playing musical chairs with 5 bullies and a moving floor.

i bought this for my 2 year old son. the sounds are tinny and overly loud. and it's confusing to use for any child under age 3. he only played with it for about 15 minutes, then that was it. so not worth the...price tag in my opinion. ... Read more

Best Birthday Gift
My daughter got this for her first birthday and she loves it. She loves to feed the baby with the soft bottle and the carrier makes it easy for her to travel with baby. I totally disagree with the last comment posted about "Save your Money" the items are made small for small little hands, but they are not small enough for choking hazzards. We will be giving this as birthday gifts to other little girls within our family and friends circle.

Soft & sweet!
This will be a fun doll for my little one who will be a year old in a few weeks. It seems safe and soft, although it is a little smaller than I expected. I think my little girl will really enjoy it, although I'm not sure I would say the doll & accessories are a good value.

They call this doll my FIRST baby doll for a reason...
This doll is fantastic for VERY YOUNG children. I bought this for my twins who are just turning one. They are in love with their older sister's baby dolls, which they really shouldn't be playing with due to choking hazards. This doll is appropriately sized for a very small child, with embroidered eyes, mouth, etc. It is a stuffed doll, so no problem if your child sucks on it. Very soft, so nice for giving hugs. The small bottle and teddy bear are large enough that they do not pose choking hazards. Yes, the doll is hard for a child to dress, but the kids I think it is most appropriate for are not yet old enough to rip clothes off and dress it. The bed is also soft fabric, another bonus for the very young kid. I didn't know what to expect when I placed my order and was VERY pleased with the result. Perfect 1st birthday gift. Don't even THINK of giving this to an older (say 2 year old) child.

Save your money.
I bought this doll for my 2 year old. She loves anything baby-related so I thought this would be a nice addition to her toy collection. It's cute and soft, but really LITTLE. It comes with a bed/carrier, LITTLE teddy bear, LITTLE blankie (think washcloth), and a LITTLE stuffed bottle of milk. I'm aware that the dimensions of the doll are listed in it's description, but I rarely whip out my tape measure to see how big it really might be, I just assumed it would be a bit bigger. So, size might not matter for any reason except the following: such a LITTLE doll wears such LITTLE clothes that it is hard to dress and undress. My daughter is ok with ripping off the clothes, but even I have trouble putting them back on, and you could only imagine how much harder it is for the tiny fingers of a 2 year old. She gets very frustrated and screams for me to come and help her (of course, only to rip them off again, and so on!). She likes feeding and burping the doll, but thats basically it. 25 Month Old Loves It
My 25 month old daughter loves this toy. If you are a parent who plays with their child, you will too. This is a poor choice of toy to just hand to a child; it requires interactive play, at least initially. The case is a bit fragile, though. A small purse/bag works just as well as a substitute doctor's bag.

Good set
My twins just received this for their second birthday. So far, it's a huge hit! We are not having any problem fitting all the items into the bag. The blood pressure cuff doesn't stay together too well, but everything else is great. The boys have had great fun "fixing" both of their parents and themselves.

It's a pretty basic set, but it seems great for their age and skill levels. If you have an "under 3" and are looking for a medical playset, I'd definitely recommend this one.

I am interested in the Fisher-Price Medical Kit that ToysRUs sells, but searches under "Medical Kit" or "medical" or "kit" only send you to this more expensive less interesting toy. 2.5 Year old loves it but falling apart
Purchased in part b/c reviews suggested it was the sturdiest of the bunch. Neighbor has the alternative blue case and accessories.

My 2.5YO daughter loves this but cramming all the pieces into the case has finally broken the latch beyond repair. The toys are reasonably sturdy but the stethoscope doesn't fit ears well-she just wears it around her neck. (The other child's doctor kit actually transmits some amplified sounds but no electronic sound effects of coughing and thump-thump). The blood pressure unit doesn't go or stay on very well and falls apart. (But after quite a few tries re-assembling it has become part of the game).

Double the price but not double the quality of the blue one.

Great Kit!
My 3 yr old son just loves this kit, I shopped around for one with the best gadgets, and this one is very nice. The stethoscope is a little hard to keep on the ears, and it has to be packed just so to get the case to close, but I think it is definately a good purchase. ... Read more

Broke after 3 months
My 11 month old received this phone as a gift, and he loved it, but it broke 3 months later -- it no longer makes any noise. I contacted the company, and their only response to my e-mail was an automated reply telling me where to buy their products. I'm very disappointed with this product and this company and do not plan on purchasing from them again.

Love this cell phone
My 11-month old daughter loves her father's cell phone, so we bought this mobile phone for her for Christmas. At 11 months nothing really holds her attention for very long, but she really liked pushing the buttons, making the wheel spin by sliding the ladybug, and she really loves opening and closing it. She likes hearing the short recorded messages we make. I've read reviews of other toy phones that said the sound effects were too quiet to hear, which is not a problem with this phone. The sounds are clear and loud enough to hear without being too loud. Overall my daughter likes this toy and it keeps her away from her Daddy's cell phone.

Just like daddy's
This is a great little toy cell phone. It has a clip on the back, just like daddy's, so my little guy can clip his on just like his daddy does. It rings and talks when the buttons are pressed and you can record and playback a message on it. My little guy loves to record "I love you Mommy and Daddy" on it and play it back for us repeatedly. Our favorite toy
My 2 year old son was first introduced to this toy at our Montessori class...he was hooked immediately!!! It was easy for him to figure out how to put the pieces together and attach the gears (he loved being able to do all of this himself as opposed to other gear toys where most of the building is already done for you) He sat and happily played with this fantastic toy for almost an hour before we had to leave. The learning possibilities of this toy are immmense as is the "fun value". With no "bells and whistles" this toy ranks very high on our list of toys due to the fact that our son has complete creative control...it's all up to him. All in all, it's a fantastic toy that we highly recomend.

Almost perfect...
My son received this toy for Christmas, and we gave one to our niece. The verdict is that it is almost, but not quite, perfect.

The toy is a set of interlocking squares of various colors that are perforated to hold a four-pronged hub that can support one of four sizes of gears. Everything is made of a durable plastic that has some flex to it. You can create systems of gears that spin around and even construct things like gearboxes. (The cover of the box--shown above--will give you a simple idea of what can be done.) There is a manual aimed at parents that helps them teach their child how gears work, too--a nice touch.

The quality of the toy is high: the colorful stickers for the gears are plastic coated, the injection-molded pieces are free from excess plastic, and the pieces fit together solidly. It's everything you would want from a European-made toy. (Quercetti, the manufacturer, is based in Italy and the toy is actually made there.)

It's a mesmerizing little toy and its variability is virtually endless. There are other kits in the Gear line that include such things as universal joints and 3-D parts, so it is highly expandable, even as your child ages.

My quibble? Our three year old niece adores the toy, but our three year old son only plays with it in fits. Truth be told, I play with it more than my son does. So as with anything, your mileage may vary.

It's nice that toys like this one are still being made. There's a lot of learning that can occur with it, too. Factor in the expandability and how can you go wrong?

Now if only I could get my son to join me more while I'm playing with it!

Bit tough for little hands to put together, but beautiful...
The base pieces of this toy are a bit stiff for my kids' little hands to put together. Also, the pegs that hold the gears onto the base are a bit tricky, but will build good fine motor skills if not discarded in frustration. I was just as entranced by this toy as they were as we played with it together for the first time. The brightly colored decals are trippy and fun. And learning that gears transfer energy they supply to move other gears of various sizes "on down the line" is... priceless. *grin*

we can go earlier
My daughter has always been drawn to visual spatial toys and loves playing with gears. She started getting independent with this around 3 years of age. I love the Discovery toy version as well.

Originally purchased for our 5 year-old granddaughter, this toy is a little above her developmental stage, and apparently above her grandparents as well! She and we became frustrated in trying to fit the white gear connectors to the gear pieces, and then attaching the coupled piece onto the frame. Adorable
Got this for my 20 month old son; I thought maybe its a lil' too late introducing this toy - Boy was I wrong - He loves to play with it and when I arrange the soft toy pins - he goes around saying 1, 2 :-)
Recommend for kids under 24 months

Best "little ones" toy, and no batteries.
Love this toy! Animal "pins" are easy for little guys('n'gals) to set up, AND knock down. And furniture (and people) is (are) safe from overactive or poorly aimed throws. Great for building motor skills, and the "pins" are really cute. I also liked that they are numbered, as this gives game possibilities room to grow. Great for him (or her) to play alone or with you. We need more toys like this!!!

The pictures of this toy don't begin to do it justice in terms of how darn cute this toy is! It is just so adorable. The suggested age is 18 months and up but I think it's also great for babies 8 months and up. The bowling "pins" are soft, cuddly farm animals that your child will love to hug and snuggle with.The bowling "ball" is a soft, fuzzy stuffed ball that can be squeezed and batted around without doing any damage whatsoever. Learning FUN!
I highly recommend this game! Very fun while still being extremely educational. The best way to learn is while your having a good time doing it. My son (4 years) has this game and we have given the Jr. version as a gift. The Jr. version is appropriate for pre-readers.

Great for all ages
My son started playing this when he was 3. At 4, he can name all the states, abbreviations, capitals and most of the state birds. He can tell you where the major points of interest are without looking at the map. It helps to teach the concept of distance, such as "which state is closest to Maine". It also teaches the concept of compass direction, such as "which state is north of Texas". The game can be played with or without a board for portability. All in all a great educational game for children as well as adults.

Great for Adults!
You don't need the board to play this game, just take the flash cards with you to travel, etc. Make up your own rules, as you'll have fun 'refreshing' your memory of states, capitals and landmarks. I'd even recommend it for kids ;)

clip and play
This item seemed to be ideal for a baby who would be in a playpen for any length of time. However when it arrived I noticed that it was not very well made. There were strings handing down and I thought it was way to advanced for a six month old child. It just didnt seem that it would stay together.

Disapointed
I really wanted this for my baby befor CHRISTMAS and I ordered, it arrived broken. I returned it. They sent another and it was broken. I still wanted it but Amazon refused to send me another. The customer service department said they are all like that---arrive broken in the box from being bounced around the inside of the packing box with bubble wrap.

I do NOT recommend this product
My son is almost 6 months old and he hasn't even had a chance to play with this yet and the stickers are peeling off. He can't sit up yet so I am possitive it is not because of him, and there hasn't been any other children near the toy. I would think that this would be a choking hazard for children. If you don't want your kids eating stickers then I wouldn't buy it. Trust Me. We all know that everything goes into our kids mouth so be careful if you do get this.

A great toy.
My wife and I were looking for a "Busy Box" for our daughters crib, and we had a hard time finding anything. I finally found this one on Amazon, and ordered it right away. As soon as we got it, my daughter was interested. It has many bright colors and interesting textures on it. The pulls are also a nice size for her hands. She will sit in her crib and play with this toy for 20 minutes before she lays down to go to sleep. I would recomend this to anyone looking for a nice crib toy. (Another plus is that it dosen't require batteries!)

Great for the little ones
I am sad that I got this toy so late. My son enjoys pulling and turning all the knobs and strings. It is nice to see all of the cause and effect things that happen. This toy is a lot of fun but it brakes easily. I wold suggest that if you are younger you should get someone older to help. But, other than that it is a lot of fun!

love this mirror
I have had this mirror for my twin 2 year old girls since birth and they still love it. I am expecting in june and will use this for my next little girl. I have never had any problems with it and it has held up well. To last 2 years and going it is well worth (...). It is also nice to have a crib toy that doesn't make noise ( babies need quiet too ) but still fun for the little one.

Another broken mirror!
We received this as a gift for our 4 month old. He loved it. We went to get him from his nap one day and it was broken with sharp edges. Thank God he was not hurt. So even the "unbreakable" mirrors break. Be careful.

if you have an infant seat facing backwards slip it in the crack in between the carseat and the seat then your baby will be happy the whole ride!

Mirror broke in the crib
I had this in my baby's crib since birth and he seemed to love it. He is now 9 months old and when I picked him up from his nap yesterday, the mirror was broke in half with very sharp edges. He's a very active baby and may have stepped on it, however he weighs only 19 pounds so that should not have happened. I just feel fortunate that he was not badly cut.

Good Introduction To The United States Map
Our 5 year-old son plays this game with us and we all enjoy it. This game is a great way to teach children the names and locations of the states. It also teaches an interesting fact about each state. In this version of the game, the players don't have to know the names of the state capitals, but since that information is provided on the game board my son is picking up on it too.

There is a 60 second timer so you can help level the playing field by varying the amount of time older players have to read the card and give the answer. We give our son 45 seconds and my husband and I get 15 seconds. We all finish well ahead of the timer, but we find it easier to use the main intervals marked on the timer. You could use different intervals if you desired.

Durability: We buy a lot of board games and this one has held up better than the others. The cards are thick so they are not easily bent. Also each set of cards has a zip bag so they stay stacked and sorted when you put them away.

We love it.
Our daughter loves this game. She got it when she was 4.5 years old and it became an instant hit. She learned a lot from this game since then. Now she is almost five years old and we are ready to get her the Great State game for older kids. (she calls it "Great State Senior.") And we are going to give the Great State Junior game to some of her best friends for their birthdays.

Great Toy!
I think it is a great starter toy! It is safe and durable, but still is an eye catcher and educational! Impressed!

Excellent Sensory Development, Long Lasting Toy
This is an exceptional sensory stimulating toy. Ideal for infants as young as 4 or 5 months. Having 6 different ways to explore this toy, it will also keeps an infant's interest throughout their quickly developing first year.

There is a mirror that spins, 2 wire bead tracks with 2 beads each (different shapes), a spining and clicking circular divice with finger 2 impressions allowing you to teach your child how to turn the disk, an abacus type section with green and orange disks, a spiral "pole" with an orange disk that will fall down the spirals when turned, and finally a cylinder with 4 levels of plastic swiss cheese type bariers allowing very tiny beads to fall through making a "rain stick" type sound. This too spins.

It is small enough to take in the car, easy to carry, light yet very sturdy. I have no concerns about any part of this breaking or coming apart. Because it is light weight, it is very easy for the child to manipulate. It will hold their attention, teach them about basic physical properties and laws (such as gravity), and will last through at least 2 children.

3 YR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER LOVES IT!
I purchased the Whiskers cat family and a Birthday Party Set for my 3 yr. old granddaughter for Christmas. She loves to carry around small items either in purses or bags or just in her hands. My son informed me a few days ago that she really loves this item. She sets them up for "tea parties" and talks to them and seems to have them with her constantly. I was surprised at how tiny the accessories were and don't think they would be wise to have around if there are toddlers or small children who might put them in their mouths. Other than that they are very cute and since my granddaughter received many gifts, this tiny cat family must be pretty special for them to be her "chosen" companions.

Calico Critters - AKA The return of Sylvanian Families in US
The whiskers cat family, simply put are the most adorable little animal dolls you're likely to run across. All Calico Critters families have an average height of about 3.5 inches (adults are larger than children & baby sets) . They are covered in a soft downy flocking, are pose-able, and highly detailed. Each family member comes with a removable outfit, with detail & care sewn in. Bright colors, Velcro fastens, ribbon ties, and tiny buttons & lace all add to the charm of their clothing. Children will have hours of fun with all the houses, furniture, and accessories that can be bought. Sets teach kids hand eye coordination (so many miniatures to interact and use) social interaction, Family structure, and creativity. Older individuals can appreciate these detailed miniatures as well. Calico Critters are actually from an older toy line many might recall from the 80's, called "Sylvanian Families". Epoch (maker of both), has started sales again, under a new name in the states. Same old lovable families, with new names. This game was a real disappointment.
I bought this thinking it would be fun for my 4-year-old, but he quickly became discouraged. The pieces slide off so easily that he was almost immediately disqualified, according to game rules. His dad and I found it difficult as well. You have to pile all the game pieces in the middle very carefully to get anywhere with this one. Where was the quality control when they invented this?!

Very Difficult to Balance
We bought this for my 4 year old son and he became quickly frustrated with the game. The surface of the pizza is very slick thus not allowing any pieces to stay on top of it. It becomes quickly unbalanced if you do manage to keep any toppings on. Both my husband and I found it difficult as well. It looks and sounds wonderful but it wasn't a hit in our home.

Pizza for Everyone
I love this game. My four year old daughter picked this game out for herself ... Now it's hard to get her to play anything else and it is the toy her friends go to first when they come over to play. The "pizza" balances on top of "Poppa's" index finger and players try to add toppings without upsetting the pizza. The toppings have different weights and are different sizes so, while it is easy to add a piece of cheese, it is hard to balance it with a mushroom. Players roll the dice to see which topping thay are to add. Everyone in the family enjoys playing this game even though it is accesible to the very young. We had no trouble getting the toppings to stay on top (until we threw it out of balance of course.) I have fun putting it out of balance and watching my daughter carefully correct it. The best part is her older brother will play this game with her alone.

Isaac's Mom
The box says that this game is for 4-7 year olds. When my 4 yr old son got this last year we discovered that the box couldn't even read 30 years and up. Both my hubby and my brother tried to play this game unsuccessfully. The problem is that the pizza surface is too slick and the pieces will not stay balanced up there. not worth it
This toy was a waste of $$ for our little one, I do not recommend it to anyone. The squirting parts do not work well on ours, and it is big and bulky. Just not worth buying in my opinion.

Durable, with lots of ways to play
We've been using this toy for over a year, and it still looks and works like new. The various moving parts provide lots of fun activities. As the child gets older, he/she will find new things to do with it, such as running water from the faucet onto the wheel to make it spin. Be sure to submerge it once at the start of bathtime so it floats properly.

Lots of Bathtime Fun

Very Cute, and Good Quality
This is very nice doll furniture.
