We ordered this item for our son. We had already purchased another one (orange box) and thought this would be a great addition. We were sent the Matchbox Hero-City Town Center 3-Pack instead. I'm going to keep it because my son was very excited when I told him the package was for him when it arrived. It is a cute set, but not little boxes like we wanted.

Great portable entertainment
My 20-mos son is car-mad and we bought this to keep him entertained on an upcoming trip. I worked wonders. It is simple and may not simulate older kids used to extensive track and such, but for our youngster it is just the catalyst he needs to play quietly with his cars while in a restaurant. We like how easily it packs up into a tidy box and can be reassembled with two simple snaps of the ramp. It is not visually exciting nor does it have many features; this is simply a good, basic toy that easily be taken around with you.

made my son's day
WE ordered this for our 7yr old son. It was supposed to be put up for Christmas but you know how that goes. Anyway he has not put it down. He loves the little sets. Each one came with its own car and contains it within the set once closed up. This makes mommy happy b/c I am not stepping on cars all the time. They are easily transported from place to place. Very conveinient. He has taken it with us everywhere. He always has something to do. And of course the firesatation has to put out the fire at the service station and the one car needs repairs, etc thoruhg his imagination he has been busy for hours with this toy. I will definetely order more for Christmas gifts for friends' children once they are back in stock.

Very fun toy
I bought these for my 4-yr-old for Christmas. He loves them as does his 2-yr-old brother. The 2-yr-old had trouble putting them together, but once they were put together he played with them for long periods at a time--quite a feat for a 2-yr-old. They are also great on trips when space is limited.

Great portable fun!
This 3-pack is a great value (we own only one component and paid about half). Our 4yr old son enjoys this as much as some of the more elaborate track sets in his collection. It is well designed and makes the most of the limited space. There are ramps to put together as well as manual lifts and gates.

Depending on the child's age and dexterity, there may be a slight learning curve (read: a little frustrating) when it comes to putting it together and breaking it down to fit back in the case.

Very Solid and Good Toy for Money Value
This is a Christmas gift from my baby's aunt...Surprisely, it is easy to be assembled, and all the connectors and cotact parts are tight, strong, and excellent connected together. For a 2 yrs. old boy toddler, this is an excellent toy to make his body, brain, and vision working together.
After my boy played this toy, he knew everytime when we went to Gas station, he knew the car is adding the gas, and he pick it up very quick when back home to play this again, and knew what's car garage looks like. Most fun to play this toy is to put the car on top, and the baby boy can turn the top nut to slid the car slip down through the curve setup, it make him laughing a lot and also see different car got different reaction to that curve; it the car is too big, instantly he knew that car what he put there is too big---learning, also the traffic lights train him to recognize the colors.
By following the toy car paths, the boy learn the circulation of the garage setup, the logical setup will make his brain to figure out the paths and circualtion of space arrangements. Since first day he got this toy, he still not getting tired of it, my brother-in-law kids also like this toy everytime when they came to our home!!
I will strong recommend this toy to any kid whose age is 2+. And aftet his toy, I bought the other Matchbox Herocity set----Construction set. This is a different setup with the Auto Garage, but still an excellent toy set, more advanced way to play toy car and both set keep my boy never getting tired to either one, of course, I will strong recommend parents to play with the kids several times first, then the kids will know how to figure out themselves. Regarding the other HeroCity sets, DO NOT---Sky Busters Airport(too may falling parts), Emergency Car Wash(not solid connect and falling parts), and Fire Blaster(wasting money on a shooting car toy, no value at all, neither education at all). twelve, and still happy
I just wish though, that they were sold in stores without the whole set. It took quite awhile to get them all. I was glad to learn that they were avaible online. The toy truck goes perfect with my construction toys that I have already. I couldn't do without it.The rest of the set is durable, and have never had it break on me.

Car Crazy 2-Year Old Loves It
It might not have enough moving parts to keep an older child's interest, but my almost 3 year old son loves running his hotwheels up and down the ramps. It's been pretty sturdy for us set up on a low table, and doesn't come apart unless knocked to the floor. He likes it because it's something to "vroom" his cars around on and there's a tunnel under the road he can stuff things into, I like it because I don't have to re-assemble it very often and there aren't any detachable pieces to keep track of, all in all we're both happy with it.

Like most matchbox toys, I don't think this toy has actually stayed together for a full day. I can't tell you how many times I have put it back together. All the parts come apart too easily. I bought this for my son a yr ago and he rarely plays w/ it.

Look for other matchbox products first
Appears really fun at first, but then at the end there was nothing to do but wreck down the building over again. Your child may get bored quickly with this set. Alas, the road pieces don't fully connect together, so trying to move it as a set makes the whole thing break apart. How frustrating is that to a preschooler?
