    Editorial Review

Looks like you could ride all the way to the famed Milwaukee Harley factory and back on this toddler hog. Buttons on the frontproduce authentic rev-and-rumble, while another button (near the righthand grip) provides a single forward speed from the rechargeable 6-voltbattery. "Harley Davidson" flame decals decorate the sides, and the20-inch-wide rearend gives plenty of stability. Appropriate for a smallchild and a big flat area. --Richard Farr ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars My son is a motorcycle man!
My son recently got this for his third birthday. I chose this one compaired to the full size Power Wheels Harley cause he is small for his age, and also cause of the difference in cost. He really likes it a lot. It's versatile enough to ride around in the house, and since it's getting cooler, that is great for us. He is really proud of it and it is so durable I can resell it when it's time to purchase a larger Power Wheels.

I am looking for a battery for a Harley Davidson I bought 2 years ago for my grandson. It has 6v 4-0 on it.run no-3070mv.It is blue. Yours looks like it is a cream colored one. I cannot find one anywhere I am wondering if the 6 volt for your harley davidson would work on this on of mine. also I bought a Lil Honda at the same time Cannot find a battery for it. It is a small black one. 6v number on it is 2-30096WM-A. The name on the Lil Honda is Tek Nek Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Christine Mooney

    THIS IS AWESOME
We purchased this Harley for our son for Christmas. He is only 14 months old (started walking at 10 months, so he is mobile). He loves it. It took a week or so for him to figure out how to hold the "go" button down (he could only press it over and over before), and he is learning how to steer, but he giggles endlessly when it starts moving. I think it is starting him early on the hand/eye coordination. It is the perfect size for him and I am sure he will get a good 2 years out of it. You can't beat the price, either!

    Great lil Harley
This is a great toy that teaches little ones to: stop/go, eye & hand cordination, etc.

    4-0 out of 5 stars Vroom-vroom
My 18 month old got this wonderful motorized bike as a gift. Initially, he was a little apprehensive about riding it but liked the buttons and the noise it made. It didn't take long for him to not be afraid of it and now loves it. Even though this is on the heavy side, this is a wonderful toy. I think it's geared more toward older toddlers and small children. ... Read more

    Barbie Jeep
My daughter got her Barbie Jeep for Christmas and the battery will no longer hold charge. She has enjoyed the music that came along with the Jeep more than the Jeep itself.

All the years of waiting were worth it!!!!
We bought this for our daughter that just turned 5. She wanted this for years but we could never afford it. She loves it and has a great time. I also have a 2 year old daughter that loves taking rides with her big sister. There is plenty of room for both of them and they enjoy listening to the Barbie tunes while they are cruising though I wish the tunes played a bit louder so you could hear them over the engine. There's a lot of storage so when we walk to the park, I can keep our snacks in there. I think it will still be in great shape when it gets passed down to my youngest child since the quality seems pretty good. Overall, I love this and I'm so happy my daughters love it too.

a wonderful toy and kids love it howerver, it do not run well on
grass with light weight kids age 3-5, the wheels spins, work well with heavier kids age 3-5 years

    Great toy!
I bought this jeep for my 4 year old granddaughter about 2 years ago to ride in my yard. This year I've taken the pin out so that it will go 5 mph and she wouldn't have it any other way. She has become a pro at it! Wanting to ride it every time she is over here. She loves practicing reversing, 3 point turns and pulling up to park in "her" parking space (great experience for the future). She rides it all over the place and knows where she can go and NOT go. She was recently given an old plastic toy gas pump from a neighbor, which she will pull up to and "pump her gas". She especially loves to go over any bumpy or hilly areas she can find. She has NEVER had any kind of accident with it. I know that as long as she can fit into it...she'll be riding it. Well worth the money. My advise would to be to have an extra battery on hand.

A Jeep Like Mommy and Daddy's
Our 2yr. old daughter was thrilled to have a Jeep like mommy and daddy's. But i have heard that the batteries don't last long. Well she is almost three now ( in a week) and the only time that we have charged the battery was when we got it. And it still workes great. It has been left out in the rain and ran into countless trees and fences, and yet still looks brand new. I would recomend this to anyone. This was such a great buy that in a yr when our son turns two we are getting him the jeep fire rescue power wheel. ... Read more

Could not have given my 4 year old a better birthday gift!!!
My husband and I bought this jeep for our "future firefighter" for his 4th birthday. He had been asking for it for over 6 months! He cruises around the yard putting out "fires" and giving the dog a blast of cool water. He loves this jeep! He entertains himself for hours. He could not have been more surprised or happy with his jeep! He drives around really well. We already have one jeep but this one was a fire rescue jeep which makes it twice a nice! Great toy!

    Great Buy!
I just bought this for my son's 2nd Birthday. I also have a 5 year old. They both just love it. Very easy to handle. Lots of fun! It goes through our grass and bumpy ground really easy. It's even better then the dum buggy my other son had. I would highly recommend this. Good buy for the money.

Watching your kids "drive" like mom & dad: priceless!
We wore out a 2nd hand Barbie Jeep so this one was a replacement, but it's 1000x better - faster and more room. I would pay the $20 to have it assembled next time tho! Considering buying a 2nd battery since they need 12h recharges. 5 stars on quality and value; they never go on sale so don't wait!

Glad I chose this over the gator
Thought long and hard about this and Peg's John Deere Gator. Read the bad reviews on the Gator shift, liked everything else about it. Went to the story and the Gator Shift seemed flimsy. A Power Wheels jeep was the store's play model. Shifter was intact and seemed strong.

Ended up buying the Fire Rescue Jeep for my 3yr old son. He loves it! Took him 1-2 hrs to understand how to steer & use reverse, no drives out of jams. Plays hard in it daily. We have various terrain, and no pavement, no problems with traction. Good purchase. Easy to take the battery out and charge it in the house.

    A child's Dream Toy
We got the Power Wheels Fire Rescue Jeep yesterday for my son's birthday. He absolutely adores this jeep and dreams about it at night. To be safe he is only allowed to drive it in the backyard. I only have positive comments about this toy except for one thing. It is a rear wheel drive and sometimes even on the slighest incline or bend, the back wheel spins and the jeep does not have much traction. My son is only 3 years old and does not weigh much. I am hoping that as he grows and gains more weight, the back wheels will get better traction.
Yes the Water Canon and the Shovel is a great hit, though instead of spraying the lawn he sprays us, brrr. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy
I bought this for my one-year old tomorrow grandson and he loves it! It's much more stable for him than his other stand up walker, and he is able to get over the threshold dividers between rooms, which he couldn't do with his other walker. He has no problem scooping up the blocks on my hardwood floors - - just have to push further. He also thinks it's funny when he scoops up a cat toy instead of a block. Highly recommend this item, great value!

5-0 out of 5 stars My son's favorite toy
We bought the hippo for our son when he was 6 months old. He is now a year and he still loves it. He pushes it all over the place. When he was first learning to stand/walk, this helped him. He was so proud of himself because he could walk with it's help. I am going to buy this for all of my friend's babies! Highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars OK....but better if picked up blocks
My son received this for his 1st Birthday...he liked the blocks more than the Hippo. It doesn't pick up the blocks on the wood floor. My 4 yr old tried it on the carpet...and he was only able to get it to pick up 1 block. It is OK, but after seeing it's lack of performance...I wouldn't buy it. The Wagon in this series is much more fun.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
We just bought this for our son who will turn 9 months in just two days. He has been cruising the furniture for a few weeks already and as soon as I brought this out, he was taking his first steps forward (w/the help of the hippo) within five minutes. It was so cute to see him take those first awkward steps forward! :-> Also, I have to agree w/what another reviewer said about Fisher-Price making the best quality toys. In my younger days, I worked for a couple years in a toy store and the one thing I vowed after working there is that I would always buy Fisher-Price toys for my kids because the quality is so much better. We almost never got returns on Fisher-Price toys, but some of the return rates on other brands are as high as 75%! And, all the recall notices we would get for other brands are also scary! Really scary because most of the parents who buy those toys never realize there was a recall. Not saying that Fisher-Price is perfect, but they certainly are at another level when it comes to safety and quality. Now that we have a son, almost all his toys are Fisher-Price or LeapFrog and we have not had any problems w/those brands.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy!
My son received this for his first birthday and loves it. My three year old also loves it and they fight over this a lot. It is very sturdy to push for beginner walkers and also fun to ride on. The only negative to this toy is that it doesn't pick up blocks very well on hard surfaces. It is best used on carpet for that reason but it is still fun without picking up the blocks. ... J.C. joy
My son is only 2 years old and he loves his motorcycle. This toy was the only thing that came close to being like a real motorcycle. The only complaint was that one of the back motors went bad, but so far the company has been working with me to get it replaced. My son has learned how to steer and how to control the bike very well. J.C. loves his kawasaki!!!
Thank you power wheels we hope to see a different model next year!!

    Correction (...)
(...) Those side wheels are where the motors are connected. The regular front and back motorcycle wheels do not have motors on them. The plastic side wheels will wear quickly. There is a guy on ebay that sells rubber slip-ons to give these power wheel toys more traction. Definitely recommend. As far as complexity of assembly. This was one of the easier to assemble products I've done. Took an hour at the most. Some of the Cap nuts are a little challengine to hammer. I would recommend a couple of bricks or pieces of wood for backing up one end while hammering the other.

Tip: The battery charger comes stored under the seat when first purchased. I thought mine was missing when I opened the box.

my 2 year old loves this
I bought this for my 2 1/2 yr old son and he loves it. This is really a nice built toy. Putting this together is of med difficulty, I suggest doing it at night for your kids will want to ride it when it is done, but you'll need to charge the battery. If its dark out the will be more likely to understand why they can't ride it yet. The battery needs to charge 14-16 hours right out of the box and after every use(says the instructions). I charge it almost every night for my son rides every day. We have had it over a month and he still lights up when he gets on it. The only thing you will have to really teach your kids is to get on from the side the peddle is not on. My son got on the other side once and it took off and he stayed put.It scared him good and I then made sure he only gets on the other side(it took a day of reminders). This bike goes pretty fast on the high speed setting, fast enough where I have to walk really fast to keep up. I put the high speed on right from the start. There is a throttle that controls the high speed and the foot is the low speed. The foot needs to be pressed in order for the throttle to activate the high speed and my 2yr old picked this up instantly. He only drives fast so I bought a dirtbike helmut like daddy's for him to wear.Overall this is the best money spent in his 2 1/2 years. I mean that. When he first rode this he had tears of joy in his eyes. I felt like the best dad in the world.Buy your kid this toy if he loves dirtbikes. You will not be disappointed.

    BEST PURCHASE YET!!!!
My son is 34months old (not quite 3) and LOVES, LOVES, LOVES this "dirt bike". He rides it everyday and we keep an extra battery on charge at all times, which works out perfectly. He figured out the hand throttle without even being shown, and has started to do "tricks". Several neighbors have stopped to watch him zing around the yard and comment on how amazingly cute it is. Educational? You bet - teaches coordination, care of owning something, etc.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FOR ANY MOTORCYCLE LOVING KID!!!

    Favorite toy!
This birthday present is a -huge- success for 3yr old son. Have had this for over a month now and is still by far his favorite. Each time he jumps on this I'm impressed at the style and quality of this cycle. Was very skeptical that he would have a control issue and I'd be involved w/full-time supervision. Not the case. Since controls are so easy and it's got a handle bar vs a steering wheel he controls this with ease. The neighbors jeep ride-on toys are much harder to control because of small steering wheel, poor turning radius and child is confined inside vehicle. This is so durable my wife even jumps on this thing and takes it around the cul-de-sac. My double-car garage is packed with various toys and this is by far the favorite. Bikes, pedal tractors, trikes all take back burner to this. I would shop no further and buy this Kawasaki at any price. ... Read more

misunderstood toy; great when you follow the directions
It is funny to see one parent saying that her 1 year old's feet can't touch the "petals" (smirk) when the intended age is 18 months and up. Another funny thing is to see how many parents say the "parental" handle doesn't lock in place--I got news for you it does!! All you have to do is put the yellow pin which locks the handle in place in "rocker" mode behind the handle when it is in "parent" mode. Our two year old loves this and enjoys rocking, riding, and pushing the parent handle. He hasn't quite caught on using the pedals because his feet get in the way but hey, that's what two year olds do. :) I see this as a long term learning toy to help our son transition to a bike later on. It was a very smart purchase. Lots of stores have them to try out--go decide for yourself.

    great toy
i just bought this for my 2 year old daughter and she loves it. wherever we go this toy has to come. It has a place for little ones who are not quite big enough to ride on there own to put there feet up while mommy pushes them around, and while we are at home she loves the rocker. This is a great toy.

Great for Grandma's House as they will get years of use
We have three of these as each of my boys received one for their first birthday and I think they are great. The only problem is I wish they were all at the same house - two are by their Grandparents 3000 miles away while my three fight over the one we have at home. Makes we want to go buy one or two more. My six year old still loves to ride it even though he has moved onto a big boy bike because he can really zoom around the corners without getting nervous. The little foot rest doesn't do much but not a huge problem. Found that it worked best in the rocking mode when off the carpet. The handle is great as not only am I able to push them but they push each other. It really manuvers well. My almost 2 year old tries to pedal it but is not quite big enough so he just zooms around with foot power. All in all a great toy that after 5 years of constant use shows no signs of "decay" - how many toys can you say that about?

    Fun fo Less the Price
I wanted to buy my daugther a more expensive Trike, but my husband I could not see paying over 80 dollars for a Trike she would outgrow. So we bought this trike and boy I'm glad we did. Our daughter likes the fact there is a foot rest since she is too young to petal and we love the stearing rod even though it is some times tough to use....but I'm still getting use to it. We also like the fact if we have another child it can turn into a rocker. Plus it is very durable. We have rolled it in grass, concrete, sand, etc... and the wheels are in like new condition along with all the other parts. Very Happy with this product!

    WONDERFUL FIRST TRIKE!!!

    Great buy
Great bike. Runs great on grass. It's acutally pretty fast. My husband and I like that it STOPS when our daughter takes her foot off the gas, instead of continuing to coast.

    My Child's First Car
My husband and I just got this Jeep for my daughter's second birthday. My daughter was THRILLED to say the least when she seen her "new car." She is a little above average height for her age (a little over 36 inches) and she was able to reach the pedal just fine. She has had it for 2 days now and has gotten pretty good with steering it. I highly recommend taking your child to an open field where they can practice without mowing down pedestrians. :) I gave this Jeep 3 stars for durability because we have only had it for two days and that is not an adaquite amount of time to fully judge it's durablity. However, my daughter id ride it around are small kitchen and hit the stove, chairs, and wall a few times and the Jeep was fine. This Jeep goes over grass, gravel, concrete, and just about anything! We were wuite surprised because we thought she would be getting stuck a lot and we'd have to do a lot of pushing. We had Toys R Us put together the Jeep because though my husband is quite the handyman, he just didn't have hours to put aside to asemble the Jeep. Toys R Us forgot to give us the instruction sheets so when we brought it home, we just winged it. It is very simple to operate, there's one pedal on the right that the child pushes to make the Jeep go forward. By pressing a botton near the cup holder by the floor, the child can make it go in reverse. We haven't showed her how to go in reverse yet because we want her to be able to feel comfortable going forward first. Without having an instruction sheet, we had no idea how long to charge the battery. We ended charging it for about eight hours. We intent on calling Toys R Us to get all the instruction sheets that come with the Jeep that we never recieved. Well I guess we didn't charge the battery long enough because it died about 2 hours later. Our daughter was so upset, she thought she had broken her "new car." So, my husband actually had to push her home in the Jeep-and the Jeep is not light. We fully intend on buying an extra battery and charger so that never happens. I highly recommend it for all of you who want to buy this Jeep for your child. I thought it to be educational because it teaches my daughter forward, backwards, left, and right and improves her motor skills. And fun? This toy is a definite 5 STARS! We could not keep her off of the Jeep. She was the envy of all the kids in the park. This Jeep is a definite MUST HAVE!

    My little sister
My little sister owns this toy and I find that it is a very good toy for thge little kids it's just that they need to take time and learn how to steer it. I'm glad that it was recalled and all the problems have been fixed with ther fires, ect. Luckily, I have decided to use this product for my school paper and so far I'm doing pretty great on it because it's such a great toy for the young ones! My little sister loves it and comes home from daycare and jumps right in it. Thanks!

    Good Buy for little ones
We bought this for our two year olds birthday, and it will go through anything. It rides on grass, over roots, on cement, whatever. Our little girl was a little intimidated by the size at first, but now she just gets in and goes.

    Pleased mom
My daughter got this as a gift from her dad and myself for her 2nd birthday. She has no idea how to steer it and it constantly running into things - but boy does she love to drive it! She particularly enjoys yelling to the neighbours - hey, this is my car!!! It is very cute and I am sure she will learn to steer it soon. ... Read more

    Little Powerhouse
My son recently received a Power Wheels jeep that had been in use for over 3 years before he got it. The batteries had not been charged as specified in the instructions, and they died shortly after he started using it. The jeep couldn't run on concrete, much less on grass.

I replaced both existing batteries with these, which incidentally are a different colour from the picture, and the jeep now runs fine on most surfaces.

It requires 18 hours charging time before you can use the batteries, so be prepared for some impatience before the vehicle can actually be used. You have to charge them after each use, and also once a month if the vehicle is not in use, at 16 hours each time.

Tech support from Fisher Price is non-existent in my part of the world, where 800 numbers are not accessible, because their site doesn't have a customer service or tech support e-mail address listed. I needed important information, because I learned that the model I have was recalled for electrical problems, and I wanted to see exactly which parts needed to be fixed to solve the problem.

I'm sure that these batteries will last a long time with proper care, but wish the tech support was better

3-0 out of 5 stars VERY SMALL
My brother bought this toy for my son for his 1st birthday, however he is above average height for his age. He loved and still till this day (he is 19 months now) loves it however it is way to small for him to ride.. He is like one of the other people had said that he just pushes it around now. I wish that I had read reviews before I had boughten this lil quad and gotten him a bigger power toy. Next time we go for the HUMMER H2, plenty on room in there.

    Babys' first power ride on
I purchase the Lil'Guad for my grandson, now 16 months old. Durablity I really can't rate yet, for I only bought this about a week ago, but it seems it will last. Two things I feel could be improved on. One, the foot rest could be made a little larger, his feet are to big to fit on them. Two, The turn screw that holds the seat doesn't really sercure it down, it turned loose and my grandson could pick the seat right up when he was pushing it. What I did about this is; took fuel line used for remote control model motors and put a little piece on each nob and now it is secure.
I done research on power wheels and other brands. Other brand reviews were, on the hold, not good. for the product. That's why I picked power wheels.
At first my grandson didn't know what it really was, but as he learned, he loves it right now and rides it all around. I, at this time, plan on getting him a power wheels jeep for Christmas.
I thank these reviews for being here to help me deside on what would be best to buy.

    Not worth it
My son received this for his 1st birthday from his grandma. I think the recommended age of 1 is too young. At 1yrs old, they understand alittle bit of cause and effect but not with a power wheels toy. By the time he understands how to ride it, he will probably be too big for it. I definetely would not have spent $80 for it. You'd be better off waiting until your child is 3yrs old and get a 4 x 4 power wheels that will grow them. They will get better use out of it.

    unhappy with the little quad
Was a little dissapointed in this ride on. After one summer with little use, the power button that the children push to make it go, shorted out. My son just learned how to control the button, (that letting go makes it stop) and it shorted out, he let go and the four wheeler still drove, VERY scary for a almost 2 yr old. The seat does not stay on, it has a plastic screw that you unscrew to get the battery out, well that plastic screw doesn't stay screwed.

    Wonderful Toy
I highly recommend this toy. I have two and half year old twins and they both love this toy. We purchased the toy when they were one the toy has never gotten old. ... Read more

    Go-Kart vs. Little 4 wheeler
I agree with the button being too hard to push (and keep pushing) and my son has had several experiences with accidentally pushing the button while trying to get in and out of the vehicle. My son also has the small four wheeler for 12-36 months and he enjoys it much more than the go-kart. The button is much easier to push and he can steer it better. He prefers the 4 wheeler and they are the same price (the 4 wheeler is actually a little cheaper I think)...GO FOR THE 4 WHEELER!!! I prefered the go-kart since it has the high seat back but my son has never had any problems without one on the four wheeler. Hope this helps! =o)

    Absolutely adorable
This is so cute and my 21 month old loves it. I didn't buy it thru Toy's R Us because I didn't want to pay to ship it and the Toys R Us's near me only carries the boy one. I purchased it at Meijers instead for the same price. I put it together myself and it wasn't too hard. I was to anxious and didn't want to wait for my husband. My daughter took to it and soon after a few hours she was a pro. I have to stay with her because it only takes wide turns so I am constantly turning her around. There is no reverse or anything. One concern I have is that everytime she goes to climb in she presses the button that is on the steering wheel and the car starts to drive and a few times she has fallen or gotton her leg stuck. I am hoping since it is still new she will learn she cant press it but they dont quite get the concept that they have to stop pressing the button and I wish there was a removable cover over it. Other than that it is so cute and she follows my older daughter around as she drives her Barbie Jeep. This is a great item and what really mattes is how happy my daughter is.

    Great outdoor fun!
I got this toy as an Easter gift for my daughter (who is now 17 months). She loved it the minute she sat in it. I read other reviews stating that the "go" button was hard for toddlers to push, but my little girl has no trouble. The only trouble I have is keeping up with her. I know it sounds crazy since it only goes 2 mph, but I have to help her steer. Thank goodness this is not an insight on her future driving skills! By the way, assembly for this is very easy. I did it without the help of my mechanically inclined husband in LESS than 30 minutes.

    amazing
It was pretty expensive and we went over our monthly budget but when I see my daughter driving it and seeing her face smile I just love it so much! she's 18 months right now and it amazes me that she was able to drive it around, push the button even. I didnt know it goes with a girlie color, I was given the orange one but I don't mind as long as she's happy when she drives it. I can't wait to have her drive it in the park.

    Love this toy!!!
We purchased this toy for our daughter who is paralyzed from the chest down. It's perfect for her to get around the back yard in. With the "gas" on the steering wheel, she can run around just like her brother's and sister's can!!!!!
The push button is easy to use. It doesn't go too fast or in reverse. It's very safe for her. She's just now two years old and big for her age, it fits her perfectly.
We will be very very sad when she outgrows it and we have to find another way for her to get around in the yard. ... Read more

    My daughter loves it!
We got this for our daughter on her 2nd birthday and she loved it. Now she is almost 4 and still loves to ride on it. At first she didn't look where she was driving, but it didn't take long for her to master driving it. It's also much easier to steer than the jeep type that has the round steering wheel. It's held up fine over 2 years with lots of use even when the kids purposefully run into each other. The only negative thing I have to say is that it does go quite slow in the grass. It's not going to be a good choice if you want your child to ride around in the backyard on it. But we live on a cul-de-sac so it's easy for the kids to ride around in the road. I would recommend getting a second battery so you can always make sure one is charged since they do take awhile to charge (or you may end up with a temper tantrum on your hands).

    Barbie Trailrider
We purchased this Barbie quad for our 4 yr. old daugher and were very unhappy with the performance. With a 6 volt battery it hardly pulled her through the grass (she is an average 40lb. 4 year old). Our two year old son was the perfect size for this toy. It had enough power to pull our daughter on the driveway, but anymore than 25-30lbs. is too much for the voltage of this particular ride-on. If you're looking for a ride-on for a child over 3yrs. of age I strongly recommend spending the extra money to get one with a 12-volt battery. It makes all the difference!!
Ours was ridden (mostly by our son) for only one summer and it will hopefully be sold in a garage sale soon. Live and learn!!!

    Way underpowered
The barbie quad is way underpowered even for my 3 year old. If you want to use this off any hard surface, forget about it. It will bearly go. You're better off buying the 12 volt Kawasaki Ninja quad instead. I'm not sure why they made the girls Barbie quad 6 volt and the boys Ninja 12.

    This is an excelent ride!!!!
My little girls is know 5 years, but when she was 3 Santa brought her a Power Wheels Barbie, like I said she's 5 and she still rids it I think she can use it 2 years more, she rides her brother 3 year old, this is a very good present!!!!!

    she loves it............
My daugthers uncle bought this for her first birthday we did not assemble it until she was 14 months and the first time she rode it she had so much fun, I was even able to ride behind her with my legsin the air. We opted for this one because the smaller ones are such a waste of money. You just need to supervise, but it's worthevery bit of the money. ... Read more

Great toy, worth the extra money for lights and sounds!
We bought this for our son's first birthday. He LOVES it! I wasn't sure if the lights and sounds were worth the extra money (above the older version of this toy) but it definitely was! The music and lights are what make this toy one of his favorites! He loves to sit on it and rock. It's great that the music starts (in ROCK mode) as soon as he moves it. I can see that this toy will be one of his favorites for a while! I also like that this is a good replacement for a regular rocking horse....we don't need one now since we have this. Plus, this will be used for many more years than a small rocking horse. We'll probably get him a wooden one when he's 3 or 4 years old, but for now this is enough rocking for him!

    Horrible
The foot pedals disappear and my sons feet drag and go under if parents don't notice right away which is painful. The handle for parents doesn't stay in place which is a pain. And it is almost impossible for parents to turn when they are dealing with kids who still can't steer or pedal yet. My husband and I took our son outside with it once and never again. It isn't safe since it is such a struggle for parents to turn we have to practically drag it from left to right and since it doesn't have a seat belt my son almost fell off the side. He only uses it to rock on at home and will not be using it outside until he can pedal and steer on his own.

    Extremely pleased
I bought this bike for my twin nephews for Christmas this past year. They were only 11 months old but loved them as they had just started walking and could climb all over them. Now that they are really mobile they love to push them while they are outside. It is great for them and easy on mom. The noises are great and one loves to rock to the music while the other likes to figure everything out on it. Definitely a great purchase!

Great item, but watch for the windshield
My 18 month old daughter received this item for Xmas. As she gained more confidence in rocking on it, she would rock faster/harder. As a result, she has had serious bumps and bruises from her head hitting the windshield. I have since removed the windshield. This has not used this as a tricycle yet, The musical capabilities are cute and not annoying for indoor use.

    Three-in-one!
Gift was for our 1 year old grandson from a close friend of the family. It only took two (2) days for our grandson to figure out how to rock with it! The noises were appealing to him and not annoying to us. His mommy put the item together by herself within 20 minutes. Very easy to assemble. Can get himself off with some help from us but needs help getting on. Age bracket of 18 mos - 3 years is a good bracket. We have another grandson who will turn 1 in May. He will be getting one for his birthday as well. I love the idea of giving them their "first big wheel"! Don't have to wait until they are older. This toy grows with the child. ... Read more

    My Own Car!
My son started riding his go cart by himself at approximately 14 months old. It is super simple for toddlers because there are no pedals- a simple push of the button on the steering wheel will get them moving. The only con I have is that is it small..they will grow out of this quickly. It is hard for them to get in and out due to the steering wheel. I don't forsee any four year old being able to ride in this. The perfect age would be 14 months to 2 1/2 at the most. My son is almost two now - he still enjoys it.. but he will ride the bigger jeep power wheels more often than this one.

    Not for above average sizes
We bought this for my son's first birthday and he fit in it perfectly. He rode around in the house ok, but you need a wide area to turn around so he rammed the walls often. He will be 2 in july and he can no longer fit. His feet hang over unless he bends his legs til they hit the steering wheel, and he doesn't have room to press the buttons, but if your child is average sized or smaller this is a great toy, unfortunatly we used it less than 1 year and now have to upgrade to something else.

    My son loves it
We bought this for my son for Christmas...he was 18 months old then. He loves this toy. The only problem was the button he has to hold down to make it run. If he didn't keep his little finger on the button, it wouldn't go. His grandfather rigged up a circle of cardboard and duct taped it to the button so it would constantly be pushed down. Since it doesn't go that fast, we are able to walk with him so there is no worries. Now that he can keep it going, he loves it more.

    Great First Power Wheels
We bought this for our son's first birthday and he still really enjoys it. It is low to the ground and easy to get in and out of. I appreciate the slow speed (I'm an ER nurse, I don't want to spend my day off at work!). It moves well in the house, on the driveway and across the grass. It has fun sound effects and was easy to learn how to operate. I think it was a reasonable price and I can't wait for the weather to warm up so we can go outside again (furniture has taken a beating).

    Age Wrong, Great Cart
The manufacturers recommended age on the box (and in toysrus store) is 12-36 months 40lbs max. I don't know what possesed them to put 4 yrs+ on this site. My son is a year old, big for his age and fits perfectly. He hasn't learned to push the button yet (just got it) but thinks its great fun for mommy to bend over, push the button and walk with him. Its one button control, can't go over 2 miles an hour (brisk walk is 4 mph), hard to flip since its so low. Its a great beginners go cart! ... Read more

Emblazoned with the Barbie logo and a cheerful floral motif, this PowerWheels Barbie vehicle was designed in the distinctive shape of the newVolkswagen Beetle. The battery-powered Beetle has a multicolored frame andmeasures nearly 3 feet long and 27 inches wide. Sturdy enough to hold one driverat a time (weighing a maximum of 50 pounds), the Beetle comes with adriver's-side door that opens and closes and a power lock brake thatautomatically stops the vehicle when the driver's foot comes off the pedal.Powered by a 6-volt rechargeable battery (included, along with a charger), theBeetle moves slowly in either forward or reverse. Not a bad car for the price
I bought this VW beetle for my 22 month old daughter and she loves it. I was hesitant about buying this one because of all the bad reviews it got, and the fact that the specs clearly state that it is only for HARD SURFACES and not grass (which is where she primarily uses it). I compared this one with the Lil' Trail Rider ATV - they both have the same voltage battery and same max speed but, for some reason, the Lil' Trail Rider said it ran on grass. I figured if that ran on grass then why not this one? So I brought it home, plugged in the battery charger and put the car together (2 hours!). Even though the instructions said to charge the battery for 18 hours before first use, I thought I'd test it out just to make sure it would ride on the grass and it rode fine. My daughter rode around our back yard for about 30 min and it even went up a little slope with no problem! It DOES ride a lot better on the driveway, but I'm very happy with it's performance on the grass. It's a little slow (max 2.5 MPH) and my concern is that the older/heavier she gets, it will only get slower. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

P.S. I went to Toys R Us to buy this 'cause I didn't want to pay shipping charges and in the store it was $149.99. I told them that on-line it was only $99.98 and they matched the price!

My 2 year old loves it
I read the reviews prior to purchasing the BUG and decided to take a chance on it anyway. My 2 year old daughter loves it! It took her one minute to figure out how to step on the gas pedal to make it go. She never was frightened by it. She has plenty of room so I anticipate her enjoying it for a couple of more years. It's a cheap little thing that's over priced like most toys are. But I think we will get our money's worth. (...) And yes, you do need a sidewalk or parking lot for them to enjoy it. It doesn't ride very well on lawn.

This toy is a waste of money!
My neighbors 3 year old daughter got this toy for christmas. I watched her play with it and it goes about 1 1/2 miles an hour. It is made of only plastic and gets scraped up all the time. (...)!! Don't waste your money and buy it. Count all the good reviews then count all the bad ones. You will find like 12 bad reviews and 3 good ones. (...)

    Good for a toddler
My husband and I decided on this car over the larger VW powerwheel for my daughter since it was smaller and would be easier for her to handle. It does well on hard surfaces, ok on flat grass and ok on short carpet. I don't think it would make it up any hills but this toy is for toddlers so I don't think you want them moutain climbing anyway :)

As for the stearing make sure you have room for large turns becuase it doesn't make sharp turns.

My husband put this together in about 45min.

For a 2yo its a good "first car"

    For the poor reviewers
One said *too slow* then complained about screaming at her child to turn the wheel....would you prefer it was faster during the learning curve?

My son had one for his 2nd birthday (now 14) and LOVED it. He took some time to figure out the wheel turning corresponded to which way it drove....and we practised on parking lots/park ground...then he was off to the races. Drove his younger sister around for 2+ years and thoroughly enjoyed it. My youngest daughter now 2 will be getting one for her birthday....my son's jeep was used by him for 4 years, then passed on to a friend and made it's rounds as a hand me down for almost 12 years!!!!

Great toy, lot's of fun, durable and safe.

    GO BARBIE
MY 3 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER LOVED THIS ITEM SHE ROAD IT EVERY WHERE.
WE LOVE IT SO MUCH WE GOT ANOTHER ONE TO KEEP OVER GRANDMA'S.
GET THIS ITEM IT WAS EASY TO PUT TOGETHER AND IT LAST.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a great trike
I bought this trike for my daughter her first Christmas. At first she didn't know how to pedal so she would push with her feet. When she got the hang of it she was off to never land. Her brother is 7 and rides his bike, and she rides by him with this trike. It's very cute.I like how durable it is,she's been very rough on it and it's still kicking or should I say riding.I would recommend to any little girl, and of course, one like it for any boy.The seat lifts up so you can store your doll, teasures. So Off to never land with peter pan she goes.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not a bad first trike, could have been better.
Another Christmas present. My daughter is 2 so I thought this would be a perfect first trike. My daughter is really tall but she still couldn't reach the pedals. She still likes to ride it but gets frusterated after trying to pedal for a while. The flip up seat is a plus because she like to put things inside but it could've been made more durable, it always comes off and she gets mad because it won't stay on, so I am constantly trying to snap it back in place. Overall it's not a bad buy, although I like the trikes with rubber wheels rather than plastic wheels because they just ride better. By the summer I'm sure she will like it much better however I recommend getting the trikes with the adjustable seat rather than this one, that way the can enjoy it right from the start.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great first trike!
Our daughter got this bike for christmas last year about a month before she turned two, she has been riding it ever since! She is now nearly three, and still loves it. The seat opens up and that is where she stores her "purse." Almost every one of her friends has this same bike also, and they all ride it around the sidewalks near our home. Every parent that I've talked to says that their kids love this bike. ... Read more
