The Rescue Heroes series of toys by Fisher-Price offers a nonviolent and positive alternative to the numerous violent and menacing toys on the market. Parents love the emphasis on helping rather than hurting, while kids just love how cool-looking the Heroes and all their gear are. This watercraft is really two vehicles in one. Separately, it's a personal water cycle, a pontoon boat, and a pair of water skis. All three can also be combined to form a super-vehicle. It's alright, You're twelve tops you have'nt seen it for real. Da.....rn coconut. Still piper? Get this if you don't already have Snuka or a good piper or either. Whatever you like.

its alright
I can see why they made this set.There trying to make that piper's pit rerun from quite awile back.If thats the case its kind of disapointing with what jakks did to these attires.Jimmy Sunka should of been weering blue and also should have came with his blue skirt.And whats with the ring bell.Every jimmy snuka doll comes with the ring bell.HE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH A RING BELL!!!!!!!!If anything give him his skirt.Roddy piper should have came with his t-shirt on.other than that this set is pretty ok.I do admire the coconuts.That's a big plus!!!!!!I believe any future jimmy snuka dolls should come with coconuts and the blue skirt. ... Oh man, these are cool.
I remember playing with these things when I was growing up, and the old ones were as poseable as a brick, and broke really easily. Hey, I loved them; they were cars that turned into robots and then fit together with OTHER cars that turned into robots. What's not to love? But the new versions... man, kids these days have it all.

The new line of Energon constructicons are plenty durable and playable, and, like their predecessors, fit together with the other four in the series to make one big robot. Steamhammer is one of the coolest of the bunch, with a large shovel for a hand and several accessories.

These are good toys for kids in general; they make you think sideways in order to figure out how to transform them, and each little puzzle forms part of a bigger puzzle (the larger gestalt robot). Like I said, I loved these growing up and hopefully my kids will, too.

SteamHammer: a big steamin' pile of...
Well, I figured it hadda happen eventually, that they'd be makin' combiner sets for the TransFormers Energon line. And, bein' a line chock-full of "tribute" pieces to Gen One favorites, I hadda figure they'd throw a few of those into their combiner sets. And sure enough, that's what they've done here with SteamHammer, whose appearance hearkens back to the greatest TransFormers combiner team of them all, the Constructicons (most notably Scavenger, the Gen One team's backhoe-robot).

Unfortunately, the `Hammer and (with the help of his four companions) the super-bot he transforms into don't really look all that impressive to me. While Constructicon Maximus might have more poseability than Devastator did, Devastator looked a lot cooler just standin' `round than the new guy does in whatever poses you can put `im in. As for Steamie himself: his vehicular form, a futuristic-lookin' steam shovel, is very oddly proportioned. And while his robot form has a nice degree of poseability-- which is a big step up from his Gen One Constructicon forebears-- I'm not too hip with his left arm and hand bein' made up of the shovel boom and scoop. It just ain't stylin'...

Needless to say, I strongly recommend you pass this guy and his companions by, and wait `til Takara/Hasbro puts out a semi-decent-looking "tribute" combiner set...

Cool toy
This is pretty cool.There is a lot of detail, but the other reviewer was right.The paint job is a bit sloppy, and I had to use a nail file to pry my cockpit door open.But overall it's cool looking and pretty decent.

Always wanted one... but
First off, the detail is great on this craft. Paint job is ok, very clean and neat. The plastic appears to be the same plastic as typical build it yourself models (as with such models, I would not recommend playing with it). Very nice that Joyride Studios did the assembly and paint work for you.

Here comes my disappointment... the model is seems glued together with super glue of sorts and the vapors coated one of the engines and captured a factory workers finger print which can be seen depending on angle and lighting.

The other point is the cockpit hatch on mine doesnt open, it seems to have been glued shut at the factory. So the two included tiny cylon figures included have no home. :(

Overall it was worth the price to have in my display collection.

Eagerly anticipated for 27 years
Finally! Fans of accurately molded and painted spaceship toys have had this Cylon Raider and the companion Viper on their wish lists forever. From the promo pics and photos of actual packages, this looks similar to the Star Wars Action Fleet toys, with even more detail paid to accuracy of scale. For example, the cockpit doesn't appear to have been oversized just to accommodate the tiny action figures.

It's the perfect size for play, with great play features like retractable gear and opening cockpit. If this thing is as durable as the sturdy Action Fleet, it's a no-brainer home run for fans of this toy genre.

Loved it for a few minutes until the megaphone didn't work!
My son received this toy as a birthday gift and we couldn't get it out of the box fast enough. He was so excited and couldn't wait to play with it. It didn't take us long to figure out that the megaphone only partially worked. We couldn't talk into it like we were supposed to. I changed the batteries hoping that would help. Then it didn't work at all! I put different batteries in, changed them around, everything. I finally unscrewed the thing and looked at the wires. I was surprised to see the wires being held together with string and masking tape! Low and behold, a wire was lose. I tried to fix it and ended up breaking it entirely...within 10 minutes of having the toy. My son is so disappointed that I'll probably end up having to go buy a whole new one just for the darn megaphone! I'm going to see if Fisher-Price will send me a replacement part, but I'm not counting on it.

Big Billy Is A Big Hit!!
I purchased this item for my six year old son who is a die hard Rescue Heroes enthusiast. He LOVES it! The megaphone was a lot of fun for him, and he likes the idea of having a larger action hero to play with. For me and my husband, it was very reminiscent of our old GI Joe dolls. Rescue Heroes are great toys with an equally good message. We own most of the line, and Fisher Price should be applauded for not only making a quality toy at a reasonable cost, but for constantly evolving the line so there are always new things to buy at holiday and birthday time!

Big Billy Was Big Hit
I got Big Billy Blazes for my nephew's 2nd birthday. It was his first Rescue Heroes figure, and he fell in love with it right away. He figured out how to use the megaphone before most of the adults in the room did. My nephew brought Billy to bed with him that night, and now Billy goes almost everywhere in the car with him. And he is always talking about being a firefighter when he gets big. Billy is very durable and he was a big hit with my nephew!! Thank you Mr. Lucas!
This is a wonderful series of figures.My 4 year old son wants everything star wars and the regular figures and toys are too complex and pose chocking hazzards to his 2 year old sister who wants them too.This new line of toddler toys are wonderful!They are cute and chucky just perfect for little hands and mouths!Luke Skywalker's helmet is even attached by a string.And the light saber actually lights up.My son even gave it the highest toddler honor... he took it to show and tell!Check out the X wing fighter so cute! He loves it!Does anyone out there know where you can find the battleship and the droids?They are sold out everywhere.Thank you Mr. Lucas from a Mommy an artist and a teacher for developing such wonderful thoughtful toys for your littlest of fans.

Great Star Wars toys for toddlers!
My 3 year old loves this. It's larger than the regular figures and doesn't have any small pieces to get lost. The helmet does fit loosely, but it's attached by two strings on his back, so it never gets lost. The light saber is almost big enough that he can pretend it's a full size one (without hitting anyone or knocking stuff over). It is a little hard to fit in Luke's hand, but he doesn't mind. We also got the X-Wing Fighter, which is also great. These are sturdy toys and should get a lot of use. Can't wait to get some more from this series.

frustrating toy
This toy is very frustrating to my 4 and a half year old son.The helmet doesn't fit in such a way that it "snaps" on, it sort of rests over Luke's head and falls off continuously.The light-saber is really cool because it lights up, but it is very difficult for my son to get into Luke's hand.The little space suit that comes with it is just a piece of junk, it doesn't fit his waist properly and snaps off all too easily.I'm frustrated with this toy since I'm constantly having to put the light-saber back in Luke's hand or fix the space suit.My son does enjoy putting him in the X-wing that you can purchase separately, which we bought first.But I wish we had instead bought the smaller model that comes with Luke and R2-D2.That has less parts, would probably be less frustrating for all of us.

Like all the 'kiddie' Star Wars toys - great.
Excellent, sturdy and poseable toy.Fits in the large X-wing fighter toy and comes with a light-up lightsaber and some kooky escape pod/helmet accessory.

These toys are wonderful for toddlers.Jointed knees, waists, heads, wrists and fully poseable shoulders allow for quite a bit of expression and variety in play.Will fit with many Rescue Heroes toys and playsetsto boot.

BIG, tough and full featured
Anyone with a young kid who is into Star Wars take note:These 'kiddie' lines of Star Wars toys (Galactic Heroes (small figures) and Jedi Force (larger figures)) are fantastic.

This X-Wing is gigantic,as it fits the larger scale figure.It comes with a slot to fit the excellent R2-D2 and an opening cockpit that will accomodate the Luke X-wing pilot.

The toy also has an extending landing leg, many sounds from the movies AND (the coolest for the little guy) all 4 of the X-wings engines light up in response to a touch from any of the buttons hidden across the ship.

Very rugged, surprisingly large (and a little heavy for the really small ones).A great toy.

Amazon/TRU has this for an excellent price, btw - many stores list the toy at $25-$30. ... Read more
