Great Toy!
We just got the bear yesterday in the mail and my daughter LOVES IT!I had to wash it already last night!We had to go to the Dr. this morning and the bear kept her very entertained in the car and while we waited in the office.Now that is GOOD since she is 3 yrs and very active.I also went and bought washable markers because like another person said it only comes w/2 markers.Other than that its a pretty good toy!

Neat Idea!
My 3-year-old had been seeing this commercial and since she had some b-day money, she got a Doodle Bear.She picked out the pink one!They are all very cute in color.Have just gotten it, but have to say love the idea of doodling on this bear!She loves to draw and is quite the little artist!Great pasttime and is fun for me too because I get to draw with her.Not sure on durability as this little bear is getting her first trip to the washer tomorrow!!My only complaint so far is the markers.Only comes with 2 colors for the markers (green & purple with ours) and 2 stamp ends (orange sun and blue star), which are very faint and hard to see.The lids on the markers are very hard for my 3-year-old to remove by herself or to put on by herself, as they snap very tightly.Very frustrating for her to do by herself, as she tries to be independent a little too much!! I see from some others though that the company has said that other washable markers will work on the bear, so will have to try this out.Still think an assortment of colors with the markers would be more helpful and to make the quality of the stamps better and brighter, especially for the price range of these bears $15-$17.But all in all a great bear for lots of fun, especially if your child loves to draw and create!

doodle fun
This toy is a great idea, it is fun, i love drawing so this is cool because im always running out of paper but with the doodle bear you just wash it then you can draw alover again, it is also helpfull with school work because if you are learning a word you can practise writing it on the bear then when you can write it propally you can write it in your school book, also because the pens are washable markers you don't have to worry if you get the pen on you also if the pens run out you can bie some more, also the bear is soft and cuddely.

Fun for kids of all ages
We bought two of these for my nephews who are both around 1 year old. My almost two year old daughter fell in love with the puppy so we ended up giving her one and going back to the store for another. She loves the puppy and unlike some "interactive" toys we have bought, it doesn't require adult strength to activate the different songs she can easily play all the songs by herself which is her goal with everything at her age.

Wow! Great toy!
We just bought this for my daughter's birthday. She is turning one in December. She played with it the entire time we were in the store. Then when we came home she continued to play with it, so I had to give in and opened it up early. She loves it. It really great because the buttons are easy for her to push, unlike many of her other stuffed animals that sing. She really gets into the music and dances her little heart out. I am so pleased with it. It also speaks and sings clearly so she can understand the words. The only bad part is that is seems a bit loud at times, but a small price to pay when it makes her so happy.

This bear is the one thing we couldn't live without! Buy it!
I bought this bear after reading several positive reviews. I had been looking for something to help my baby sleep more soundly at night--he was only sleeping for a few hours at a time, even though I knew he was capable of sleeping longer. He just couldn't seem to get into a deep sleep. My son LOVED this bear from day one. For the first few days that we used it, he fell asleep almost immediately when I turned it on, and slept much more soundly, too. In fact, he didn't seem to want to get up from his naps because he was sleeping so well! Though it doesn't have quite the same effect now (a few weeks later), it definitely still calms him (as long as he's not extremely overtired, which seldom happens). It also works well as a "cue" for him to know that it's time to go to sleep (or so I believe). I love that the bear can be attached to pretty much anything with its velcro straps and that it has adjustable volume. If I had to say anything negative about the bear, it would be that it seems to run through batteries pretty quickly (two AA). It might be that the batteries I've been using weren't brand new, so that might explain it, but I'm not sure. Either way, it's worth it. I'd buy this bear again in a heartbeat (no pun intended), and plan on giving it as a gift to any friends who are expecting.

Wonderful!
To help out, I sleep in the same room with my new granddaughter once in a while. At first, whenever she was having a hard time sleeping, I would turn on some of her musical toys which nearly startled her awake! They were so LOUD in the middle of the night. I then purchased the Mommy and Baby Bears and what a godsend. The bear actually has a volume control and it plays for 40 minutes at a time. You can play the heart sounds or you can play classical music. We did have to go out and buy a tiny screwdriver to open the battery case to replace the double AA batteries, which was a pain. So, I suggest if you give this as a gift, include a tiny screwdriver with it.

Comforting sounds for sleep
This has been a must-have for us since the beginning. My son is now 7 months old, and we're still using it. It's great because the music or heartbeat will play for about 45 minutes, much longer than our mobile (5 minutes). The sounds are very peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommended!

great shower gift!!!
I have bought this bear for many friends and they all loved it. They swear by it's magic on their baby, most won't go asleep without it. I am now expecting, and it was the first thing I registered for.

Wonderful!
This is not only a cute product, but it works well to calm a fussy baby! The wooshing sound of the womb really does help sooth the baby to sleep!

I like that there is a volume button. I found that the loudest setting is good for the first few weeks that the baby is home and eventually you can start to lower the volume. There is also a switch to play soothing music, but we have found that the baby enjoys the womb sounds much more.

Each bear has a velcro strip so that it can fasten onto the crib. My only problem is that there is only one sound box for both bears. The box can be switched from the mommy bear to the baby bear, but I wish that each bear had it's own box so that one bear could always stay attached to the crib and the other could go downstairs with us during the day. It's really not that big of a deal as it's easy to switch the sound boxes, but it would be nice to have 2.

Bought it for the long haul
I took a chance buying this toy. I felt it was expensive, but reasoned that although my then 6 mo. old baby would not use it for more than a teether, he'd later be able to play it himself at age 2+. My son liked it initially, but beyond grabbing it and eating the handle, legs and tassles, he was not able to play it except by accident or with his feet by 8+ months. I (and other adults) play songs or notes for him, which he likes, and am hoping that in the future he'll play with it rather than use it as an expensive teether. He tries, but it's hard for him to play notes right now. I did not know that the toy was scented and thought it was from the strong-smelling odors of the store from which it was purchased. I do not like artificial scents, but it doesn't bother me now. If you like long-term toys, this is a nicely colorful, non-electronic purchase that encourages interactive play. I use it to also teach colors and or general play. I would give it 5 stars once my baby can play the notes.

Fun with Octotunes
I bought this for my son and when I took it out of the package and played it for my two month old son, he could not keep his eyes off of it. The colors facinated him, the sounds amazed him and he just wanted to stay focused on it as long as possible. He looked at it for hours, smiles at it and finds great enjoyment. I feel he will get plenty of use out of this fun, educational toy as well as being durable to take everywhere with him. I would highly recommend this for any baby to encourage thier visualization & listening skills, then motor skills later.

Great for everyone
We brought this toy for our son when he was 4 weeks old. Although we doubted he would be able to operate the legs on his own for a while yet it has prooven to be a fantastic way for adults to interact with him. He started by watching and smiling or just staring when we played the leg's. It then became something of interest for him to reach out for and then chew on. He's just about five month's now and when he see's it on the ground gives it a big smile and tries to wiggle around to grab at it. We love to sit down with him and squeal the legs while he mouths any part he can get to. I think it's a fantastic investment for those parents that really want to enjoy and be part of their children's lives.

more fun for me
We got this toy when my daughter was three months old. I figured she was a bit young and hoped she would enjoy it when she got a bit older. My husband and I had a lot of fun with it, and she liked it when we would play with it. For the most part, it sits untouched on the bed. It is quite cute, but when our daughter does try to play with it (she is almost two now), she has a hard time squeezing the legs hard enough to make the sounds. Not one of our best purchases, but maybe one of the cutest.

A Fun Interactive Toy
My middle daughter received this toy when she was a year old and just loved it. She loved the to look at the colors and patterns on him. She also liked to listen to the tunes that I played for her.(she didn't mind the mistakes) It is now two years old and we passed it on to my youngest daughter and she loves him too. Fun
This is an exellent toy for all ages. Its educational porpose is about the dogs body parts. It is soft and i think it is very soft. It is a great gift for all ages and almost the very best friend.

The best comfort toy for little ones.
I recently purchased Darby for my first grandchild's 1st Christmas. He would never hug us so we taught him how to hug and love Darby - now we get smothered with hugs!! He sleeps with his Darby and has a big smile for him each morning. I couldn't wait for Christmas to give it to him. I brought the box home and left just his nose poking out! It was wonderful to see my little grandson's eyes light up and watch him tentatively touch Darby's big head. He immediately pulled him out of the box and laid down on him. Darby is so soft and cuddly that he is considered the best of comfort toys for little ones. It was well worth the cost. Thank you Animal Alley!

Can't wait to give it to my Grandson
Wow!!!! I received Darby within three days. Fast shipping, thank you Amazon and Toys R Us. Darby is soooo cute, I opened the box and out came a very huge dog. I can't wait to give it to my Grandson. Darby is so big, soft and cuddly. I hated to put him back in the box. I don't know if we can keep him in there until Christmas. My older kids think Darby is adorable and irresistable that they want my grandson to have it right now. I know it a little expensive for a stuffed animal but it is well worth the money. Darby requires no batteries, won't break and no pieces to loose which is a big plus to me. I am sure my grandson will enjoy him for years to come. I recommend Darby to anyone who wants to have fun, love and hug a big dog. He is so tempting and I soo am glad we got him for our grandson.

My mother got this dog for my son last Christmas when he was one year old and everytime we watch tv at her house, we drag this dog out. When I say we, I mean the entire family - not just my son. It's so soft and squishable that you can smoosh it under you to get just the right amount of height for on-the-floor tv viewing. And his fur feels wonderful for taking naps. I myself have fallen asleep on him numerous times. My son loves to get on top of him and pretend that he's taking a ride somewhere - he just pulls the ears like they're reins. He also loves to drag it around and jump on it sometimes. In a year, it's taken quite a bit of abuse and hasn't needed a repair stitch yet. The great thing about buying this dog is that it's a toy that I know he'll never outgrow. Even when he's a teenager, I'm sure he and his friends will want to use this comfortable dog as a pillow for watching television. The only problem with this dog is of course, storage - this puppy is BIG! At my mother's house, he generally lays on the guest bed until we come over. And sure, he's a little pricey, but he is a very well-put-together and versatile toy, which in my opinion makes it worth the money.

Great Toy - My kids Love it!
Great toy - well made. My kids begged me for it and havent put it down since. The washing feature is nice since they wont get bored of it. Wash it in the machine and its like getting a brand new one again.

Party favor
I really want 10 doodle bears for my birthday party favors and for the party craft. It is a sleepover so we can sleep with our bears when we are done. I think that there should be more markers! 2 is not enough. I love to doodle! Yay Doodle Bear!!!

A Great Gift
My older cousin bought this for her toddler-aged daughter for Christmas and she LOVED it to death!! All day she was dragging it around the house (or at least doing her best) or climbing all over it. It is very durable and great for younger kids who can occasionally "throw" their toys at walls and people, because it is too big for young children to easily pick up. It would be a great gift for girls of any age, even my teenaged cousin thought it was sooo cute!!

For kids of all ages
Got this as a last resort for my 2 1/2 year old neice for Christmas -- she adores it as did her brothers and sisters ages 6 - 12. Just for smiles alone, this is a winner. And, I have to admit snuggling with it a bit myself before the wrapping!

Sweet
I got this for Christmas, only it was brown instead of pink. My parents are always asking if the can lay on it. It's extremely soft and it's so comfy! I lay on it whenever I'm playing video games. We got 2 of these for our kids and they love them. They draw all over them and write their friends names on them. Then we can wash it and start all over, they havent gotten bored of it yet! Cute and snuggly!
We bought this for our son's first Christmas - at which he was 11 months old. He snuggles with Bear in his crib and while we watch Bear on Disney. He loves to watch Bear and we all love to read Bear's books.

When you press Bear's left ear he says cute phrases like, "How about a nice bear hug." and "Great bear hug." and "I smell a friend."

Cute, but...
This Bear is very cute. But, the description makes it sound like Bear talks when you hug him (although admitedly it does not actually say that). Bear actually talks when you squeeze his ear. I ordered this for our son's first birthday so squeezing the ear isn't as easy for him as hugging Bear. I'm still happy with him, I just wish I had known before ordering and thought someone else might want to know, too.

CUTE CUTE CUTE
This bear is just as cute as can be. Sounds like Bear on TV. Says familiar sayings you hear on TV show. Really cuddly. Very soft fur. Would recommend to anyone especially if your kids watch Bear in the Big Blue House. My 9mo. old grandson is getting it for Christmas so I don't know how well it will hold up but looks very well made.

Makes a great gift
I think this is a great product. It supports my son when he is sitting up and he loves to play with it. I have noticed older children like to curl up with it while watching television. I think this would make a nice gift because it is unique. Unlike most baby toys and products, we will get years of use out of the Activity Dino.

Expensive rubbish - waste of money !
We recently ordered Dino for our 6 month old son, thinking we could use it initially to help him sit up and then later as a fun rough-and-tumble toy. What arrived was a small overstuffed sock with a few "crinkly" spines. The quality of the material was cheap and nasty and the construction is appauling. As for the "roar" of the nose - we could barely hear a squeak. Needless to say, we returned this "toy" immediately. Don't waste your money - a pillow with a decorative face would be just as good and at least the cover would be washable ! AWFUL !!!!!

My son loves this!!!
My mother-in-law bought this for my son when he was a few months old. I never imagined he would love it as much as he does. When he was 3 or 4 months old it helped prop him up and he would look at it and pat it. Now, at 7 months he wrestles with it and plays with the spines on the back to hear the different noises. He loves the crinkly and shiny fabric. He tries to squeeze the nose which makes a great roaring sound. His eyes light up every time he sees dino!!!

my little one has had a grate time with it
My daughter Nicole got this from her godmother, she was about six months, so anyway... she liked it because of the color and stuff and we mostly used it for support -since she kept falling backwards- then when she was a couple of months older she would used it as a pillow (a rather tall one) to rest her head on while watching t.v, and when it was time to take a nap she loved to curl into a fetal position and place her back against it (she still does this, while sucking her thumb)she liked it so much we tried to put it in her crib, but found it too big. Now we've had it for some time and kept it in a corner of the living room, so she could get it when she wanted to watched t.v. One of these days I heard her giggle through the baby monitor and went to check on her, I found her rolling around the floor with it hugged tightly against her, then she placed herself on top of it and sit back and rode it as a horsie... a few days after I found her asleep on top of it, with her thumb in her mouth and her legs streched back and crossed together. She likes this thing so much she won't use anything else to watch t.v or take a nap with, almost everytime we get home the first thing she does is run to it, pull it to the middle of the room and just have fun.It's really amazing -to me anyway- how she hasn't ger tired of it.
The only thing is that sometimes when it's time to go to bed at night she wants to sleep either on top or with it, and she's always saying "no, mama, no!" when I trie to take her upstairs for bedtime OR she says "no, daddy, no" in the most sweetest of voices, with her big blue eyes puppy-stile and a pout and my husband gives right up and lets her have it her way.
But I don't think that's such a bad thing cause she's a heavy sleeper and she doesn't wake up when we take her to her room. Nothing more to say except... I ADORE THIS FREAKING TOY, and more important, SHE ADORES IT EVEN MORE. ... Read more

My son loves this toy!
I bought this for my 5 month old for Christmas and he just loves it. It is so sensitive that he can easily make it light up and play the music on his own. I read the reviews about the music being loud and I am inclined to agree that it may be a bit on the loud side but it makes my son giggle so much when he hears the music play, that I cannot complain. He does hit it in the middle of the night and the music over the monitor wakes us up but never seems to disturb him. The music is a nice improvement on this toy but if I could add a constructive comment, it might be a good idea for Hasbro to make the toy with a feature that allows the sound to be turned off by a switch so that it just glows at those times when the music is not wanted.

Loved it at 3 months old!
My daughter received this for Christmas, when she was 3 months old, and fell in love with it instantly. We sometimes wondered if she thought that the Gloworm was alive. She truly enjoyed the many songs and the happy lit face of Gloworm. She is now 14 months old and although she took a break from him for about 3 months, she's enjoying him once again. Now, though, she is able to hug Gloworm herself. I highly recommend this toy for any newborn!

AWESOME
My 8 month old daughter LOVES this toy. It'll stop her mid-scream. I bought it a few months ago and she's so cute with it. She kisses it and looks lovingly into it's eyes. I highly recommend it.

Great Toy
This was given to my daughter as a gift when she was 2mths old, and she loves it! It is really easy for her to activate, and it's an instant cry-stopper. However, I do agree with the other parents where it doesn't play the songs long enough. Right now her batteries are low and it sounds pretty creepy. You've got to keep batteries at hand with this toy.

MY BEAR SCHLEPP
I recived schlepp from my boyfriend for my birthday.I would like to say that I think this is a very loveable,huggable bear.My boyfriend lives in England and i in Georgia/USA and when ever I am missing him which is everyday I sit hugging schlepp and thinking of him.I would strongly recomend buying this....

Truly endearing stuffed animal
We bought a small version of this bear at Christmas when we acted as Santa for foster children through DFACS. Even before the bear was wrapped, everyone in our family had played with it repeatedly. The soft plush, the chubby body and the combination of large nose and little eyes make this toy very vulnerable and lovable. We were so sad to see it leave that my husband bought a replacement for us for Christmas! "Gundy" (I know, not very original of us) has stayed in the family room since the holidays and provides entertainment for teenagers and family alike, as we use him as a puppet to comment on everything from the primaries to the Super Bowl "wardrobe malfunction." (He hid his head in embarrassment.) Yes, even an inanimate stuffed animal can have educational value if you animate it!

I bought this bear for my grandaughter she is 5 years old. If I had known how adorable it was I would have ordered more at the time. Everyone I showed him to fell in love with him. As I say he makes your day. He brings a smile to your face. I collect bears throughout my house. I have many. There is not one that I have that is like him. He is so soft and when you put him in your arms to hug...lookout you have never hugged anything better. It's unbelievable. No one should be without one. I will be placing another order for more right after Christmas. For myself and friends, just to make their day. It's a must just to see people smile and be loved by this bear. I hope this review helps you decide.

The best huggable bear ever
I got this bear while in the hospital, I hugged it whenever I was sad, in pain, or getting a treatment. It now sits on my bed when I'm at home, and everytime I go to the hospital it goes to me. It's even gone into surgery with me a few times. It's a great bear to hug if someone's not there. Mine has held up very well, and I haven't had to wash it. It's great for kids and adults I think. Great for Blue's Clues fans!
I bought this for my son's 2nd birthday and he absolutely loves it.

The toy measures approximately 12" tall; the arms are outstretched, so technically it is around 10.5" wide. I wanted to know this information when I was shopping, and am sure others will too.

The stomach holds the batteries & microphone and is therefore hard; however, the fabric is very soft to the touch so my son still loves to sleep with it at night.

When you squeeze Blue's hand she says many different phrases. Some of them are: "Hi you, there's so much we can do", "I can boogie" "I love you, I love you, I love you *kissing sound*", "I can pretend with you" "You're a good friend" "What a great team we are, don't you think?", "Let's talk again", and countless more.

If you have a child that is in love with Blue's Clues (as mine is), then this is definitely a great toy for them at a fantastic price. ... Read more
