Among the smartest of the dinosaurs who roamed the earth 65 million years ago, Velociraptors were also deadly predators who hunted in packs to satisfy their carnivorous diet. Made from Baltic birch, the 62 interlocking pieces in this kit require no hardware or glue to assemble. An excellent exercise in shape recognition and spatial reasoning, assembling the puzzle requires patience and careful attention to detail and, possibly, the assistance of an adult. But the rewards are great as you transform a pile of scattered "bones" into an impressive scale replica of a Velociraptor skeleton. Once the puzzle is assembled, you can leave it standing as a display piece, or disassemble it for future use. A wooden "rock hammer" and sandpaper have been included to aid in the assembly process, but you may pick up a few splinters putting this wooden puzzle together if you're not careful. Great Together-time activity!
My 5 year old's grandfather bought this for him and the three of us put it together! He could help identify the major pieces but I had to find the pieces that went together for the most part. He loved tapping on the pieces with the little hammer after I would stick them together to make sure they were together. He keeps it in his room and refuses to take it apart. The only downfall is that the legs easily fall off when it tips over and I have to put it back together. Not a big deal! I plan on getting him the T-rex for Christmas this year!

Amazing and scary

Missing pieces
I am very disappointed with this product. The amazing art duffle bag came in almost empty. Promised bags of modeling clay, stamping markers, stickers and the activity booklet was nowhere to be found. Then I started reading the other reviews about this product and sadly realized that I was not the only one... I can't believe Crayola continues to ship the product half empty. It is about time that someone takes an action...

Do Not Buy
This seems like a "Bait & Switch" ... The picture shown, as well as the written decription, portrays a fun filled (and I do mean FILLED) bag of art supplies, when it is actually filled with mostly air. The missing supplies included three packages of modeling clay, 10 washable mini stamp markers, the activity booklet, of the 15 sticks of sidewalk chalk promised - it came with only 6. There were no washable markers - there are 10 non-washable markers.
This is an extremely disappointing purchase.

Not so amazing art duffle bag
It would appear from the picture of the "amazing art duffle bag" that it is chock full of fun art supplies. This is not the case. The bag consist of a pack of 8 fat markers, a pack of 8 skinny markers, a box of 16 crayons, a 6 pack of fat chalk, and a thin writing pad. You could easily buy the items strategically placed on the outside of this bag for about $9.00- The entire middle portion of the bag is empty! There is nothing amazing about the art duffle bag except the nerve of Crayola to mislead people. Save your money!

Disapointed Customer
I was very disappointed when I opened up this package. I had bought it for a Christmas present for a close relative. The duffle was missing the stampers, model magic pouches and activity book. Instead of those items being there, a large piece of cardboard filled up the space. I don't know if it was a mistake or not, but I must say that I am very disapointed. The picture and description of the duffle are very decieving.

Waste of $ and time
My 2 daughters spent a long time painting the plates and did some beautiful designs, only for them to start coming off as soon as the paint dried. The painted plates are useless, if even a drop of water hits the paint it comes off --Since the product is using glass plates which only older children can handle I think they would be responsible to handle proper glass paint as well. WHat a waste of our money and our daughters' time. The initial "fun" factor was higher but quickly dropped to zero (but I had to select at least one star!) after the girls realized the artwork wouldn't last

Fun With Two Glass Plates
Painting the plates is a fun activity because you can be creative. The only problem is that you have to be careful or they could crack or break.

Fun to Paint...but does not last
This was so much fun to paint...BUT, once we let the finished product dry...the paint came right off. Did not stick to the plate. My daughter (7) was so upset, she worked so hard on it. The coolest product.
I love this kit. We got it so we could make a gift to give to all the relatives (even though you can start your calendar with any month, we're giving it as hoiday gifts). My kids drew pictures, we added photos, stickers, poems. We included everyone's birthday, anniversary etc. My one son even wanted his report card added to one month! It's not like some of those other calendars you get where you just slip a picture in a folder. This is a real printed up calendar that's bound together. The quality was excellent. Fun party activity
I bought 3 sets (9 puzzles) for my daughter's birthday party, so all the kids got a great take-home memento and it only cost me about $5/child! All it takes is a craft table with markers, glitter, stickers, etc, digital pix of the kids printed on regular paper, and with a bit of help they made great-looking party puzzles.
