Fun, but bites!
My son received this trike for his 3rd birthday, last November, from his grandfather. He was thrilled to say the least. Since then there hasn't been a day he hasn't ridden on it. The fun factor is A+++. As for educational value, bikes aren't exactly educational, unless I count Joshua singing his ABC's while riding it. ;)
The problem with this bike is the seat's durability. A few months ago I noticed a hairline crack starting to form in the seat. Silly me, I should've called to get it replaced then. Joshua literally spends all day, every day, on this bike He weighs less than 30 lbs which is small for his age. So I doubt his weight is a factor in its breaking. I forgot about the crack, until the screaming started! Now he knows not to stand on the bike, he figured that out after falling one too many times. So I don't know how it happened, but his toe was stuck in the, now, big crack in the seat. He was yelling "mommy, bike bite me, bike bite!" Trying not to laugh at moments like these, especially with your child is in pain, is a very hard thing not to do. I got his toe out pretty easily, but he was not happy. He spent all afternoon saying "Bad bike, bad bike!"
I have been meaning to replace the seat or entire bike for awhile now. Today I went to Fisher Price's website to see if there was a way to replace just the seat. There is, but with shipping it's [price]! The bike sells for new for only a few more dollars than that. Instead, I spent the afternoon trying to get through to Fisher Price/Mattel's customer service line. When I finally got through to a real life person (After 3 hang-ups telling me to call back later or use their online site for help!) he was wonderful. They will be sending out a new seat, free of charge, in 7 to 10 days. So if I had to review their customer service, aside from the hang-up issues, they'd get an A.
Overall I think this is a great toy but I will still worry about the new seat breaking over time too. Hopefully Joshua will outgrow it before then. If you have a toddler who is rough on his toys maybe a different bike is a better idea. Fun wise, it's a terrific toy. ... Read more

one of the best mongoose bikes
This is a vary good bike my freind has it im getting it, the other people say the spokes(mags)will brake if you jump ramps but thay dont. It's good for jumpind it has good color too, grips dont give you marks on your hand. If i were you i would get it.

mongoose ace
the mongoose ace is a good bike for a 10 year old kid. The rims are plastic, but if you bend your knees when you land , you will land soft,so the rims will not break. It shouldnt be used by teenagers, .

This bike is cool
This bike is fun but if you are the type of person that likes to do jumps and air tricks I suggest you buy different rim thingies because the ones that come with the bike are plastic. I just changed mine and now the bikes great I would suggest this bike to anyone who is intersested.

its a nice bike
it have a nice frame
it have a nice color
it have nice rims

GET IT!!!
I own this bike and I think it rocks! Yeah, it does take some time going up a hill, but get used to it. I know the first time I rode it, I thought that is was hard as livin' mess to push, but a week later BAM! It was easy because I got used to it. DUH!
So, who cares if the rims are plastic. I think that they look pretty cool. But if they break, ORDER NEW ONES! But the whole rest of the bike looks totally cool,so whats the matter with it. I can get alot of air on it too. Oh,and did I mention that the braking ummm.. ROCKS! So when you break it all down, the bike rocks! So go and buy it! ... Read more

This sturdy plastic car gives toddlers and young preschoolers the basic thrills of a real car, while parents can relax, knowing that this cherry-red sports car can go only as fast as their kids' little feet can carry them. Children sit on a bench-style driver's seat and poke their legs through to the ground. When they start walking, the car begins to scoot. The front wheels swirl like stroller wheels, making them especially responsive to the steering wheel. The front dash features a pretend key with a Little Tikes key chain and a horn button that beeps when pushed. A small storage bin in back can carry traveling gear or simply a stash of road snacks. Approximately 35 inches tall, 25 inches long, and 16 inches wide. --Gail Hudson ... Read more

Great gift for your little one
My daughter received this for her 1st birthday. Even though she was too little to make the car 'go', she spent hours opening/shutting the door and climbing in and out. Now at 19 months it's still the first thing she runs to when we go outside. She loves pushing it around the yard and going backwards by herself. She hasn't mastered the frontward motion yet, but she doesn't notice. Definitely worth the money.

This is 'THE' toy!!
My son got this car as a gift for his first birthday. It took him a few months to get into it. But, since he was about 14-15 months this is THE toy! He LOVES it, and all the kids fight over it when they visit! When the Wiggles are on and they sing the Big Red Car song, my 19 month old runs to his car, and gets his keys and pretends to drive! He loves when we "drive" him around the house. The only thing that would make this a better car is a seat belt. Not only is he fascinated with seat belts now, but it would have been safer when he was a bit younger.

Not Much Like A Real Car
I appreciate toys that my son can learn from, but I have concerns. First off, the safety features are horrible. Hard plastic. Perhaps an airbag might save a few bruises when my son slams into the recliner. There is also no brakes, making it impossible to stop. This is especially important when you live in the South as I do, where everything is on a slope. My son has often rolled down the driveway into the road. Many close calls with this one!

However, it's fun for him, it seems. There are no real world dangers involved with driving this around. Because younger children are colorblind, it doesn't matter what color it is, but I would appreciate, at least for my eyes' asthetic taste, that it would look sleeker, maybe a silver or black. Whenever I invite guests over, I have to put it out in the garage.

Other than that, it's a very good product!

Lil Tykes ROCKS again!
I am addicted to the lil tykes name. This is another hit in our home. It is sturdy and sun! My daughter got this for her 2nd birthday. She LOVES cars and was excited when she saw it.

It has been tumped over on its side and used as a stool, slid all over the house. It withstands EVERYTHING my daughter dishes out!
The extra compartment behind the seat is perfect for a sippy cup as well. But BEWARE only one child fits in this awsome Lil Tykes car!

This is the perfect set of wheels for the 3-year-old who wantsto trade up from plastic ride-ons, but isn't ready for the perils of areal bike. It features a sensible bucket seat with a grab handle on theback--but the standout feature is grippy, extra-wide tires. (The backones are over 3 inches wide, and their outer edges are more than 19inches apart.) The only concessions to fantasy are two pretend"shock-absorbers" on the front forks and a bolted-on plastic "speedometer" atthe front. --Richard Farr ... Read more

Great price for a great tricycle!
I read all of the other reviews before I purchased the Supertrike for my 3 year old son. It is sturdier than I expected. It looks good and my son loves it. An excellent choice for a first trike.

Excellent tricycle for a beginner
This is the second tricycle that I have bought so that my two nephews will no longer fight about who gets to ride. The construction is very sturdy and durable. The handle bars are strong and directly attached to the wheel making it unlikely to move unlike other tricycle handles which are just bolted on to the mainframe.
The bucket seat allows the child to push with their backs and legs to pedal with more ease than a regular up-down motion that many 2-3 year olds cannot do. The wider wheel base as well a wider frame at the back 2 wheels provide a stronger center of gravity making this tricycle less likely to tip over with sharp turns. As a medical professional who deals with the pediatric population, I would highly recommend this tricycle for all first timers.

Was all I hoped for and more
I drove to toysRus to see one and they did not have any. So I ordered it and it arrived on time. I took this to Russia for a friend's little girl. I was so happy it made it undamaged and passed through customs without a problem. It is well made and assembled easily. The little girl is 4 years old and about 40in tall and she fit fine with the seat not all the way back. I would say she could grow to 50in and still be able to ride. Because I had read a review that said an adult rode it. I climbed on and rode around. It did not seem to flex at all with 150lbs on it. I would not say thats a good idea, but I looked like the guy from Rowan and Martin's laugh in on it. Very nice trike...It is better designed with the high handle bars and the big plastic tires grip well and seemed very stable. If you are reading the reviews, which is what made me buy it...I would buy it, you will not be disapointed.

This is the "dream" trike for any toddler!!!
I purchased this trike for my 3 year old son. It is absolutely fabulous! Simply the best trike to buy. The wide wheels not only enable it to better grip whatever surface it's being ridden on, but they also ensure a more stable three-wheel vehicle. My little boy loved it from the get-go! I was originally looking for a more "big wheel" type of trike when I came accross this one. I would highly recommend anyone looking for that "first trike" for their little one to try this one. You won't be disappointed. On top of it all, the price is unbelievable. Enjoy the ride!

Great Trike - Don't Buy Stroller Bar

Stand out in a crowd
My son just got this 2 days ago. I had to put it together before he could use it. It was not difficult at all. In no time, my son was riding his new vehicle. He thought that it was great. He is average to a bit small for his age (4 1/2 years old), but had no problem reaching the pedals. He loves the fact that he can drive it like his daddy drive's his car. My son is the only one in his neighborhood with a car like this and likes to show it off whenever he can. The car looks as if it is quite duable, and should last for many years to come.

Great toy
Our 3.5 year old son loves it. He was able to learn how to operate it within one day and likes riding it. There is no risk of it tipping over (as we had seen with his trike) and he enjoys the control he has riding the vehicle. We also love the fact that he has to use the pedals to ride it which gives him a chance to utilize the endless amount of energy he seems to have.

Would definately recommend it to another child. One point weakness though:
The front steering is not protected - he hig a concrete step causing the steering bar to pop out - no problem - it could be pushed back and he could continue to ride it without problems.

BEST PRESENT EVER!!!
We bought this for our son for Christmas when he was 6. He wanted one of those electric Jeep's. One major reason we decided to NOT go with the Jeep was that at the time we lived upstairs and had no where to keep it and no desire to haul it up and down stairs every day. The next best reason was that we knew he would outgrow it likely within a year. When we saw the Kettcars they looked so cool, light and affordable! Christmas morning he saw it and cared little about anything else! To this day, it is his favorite outside toy! He is 8 now and nearly ready for the next size up, so we will probably get him one this Christmas, which he really wants, especially since the larger models have actual rubber tires, and he likes to pretend he is a mechanic. I would highly recommend this! Another thing...when we go to the park, he is the center of attention, which makes him feel good and I am happy to say that he is wonderful about sharing turns with other kids.

This review is for kids from 13-16
Well what is there to say but this is the greatest toy ever created. We found this car in my friend (Degos) garage. As soon as we saw it we fell in love. First we just went down hills with it but that wasnt enough. We hooked it up to the back of my tractor and went over huge inclines with it. Then we rode it down a hill into my dog house. Let me say that was the high point of my ket carting. Then we were looking for new extents so we drove off the roof of my garage with it which resulted in a broken arm and a bruised rectum. Finally we took it down a steep off road hill and tried 2 land on a parking lot and ride down the hill on the parking lot. This was the end of the ket cart. We tried fixing it but nothing seemed to work. Now we are at school raising money for the ket cart releif fund which is doing pretty well all we need is 32 more dollars. Overall this is a great toy and is suitable for all ages.

A MUST HAVE
We bought this for our then 4 year old son 2 years ago for Christmas. He has loved every minute of it since then. He has an easy time peddling, steering, and stopping. We have adjusted the seat to accomodate his growth 2 times and have never had any complaints! I would highly reccomemend this toy in addition to ride-on toys you might already own. AWESOME
CORVETTE RACE CAR IS LIKE NO OTHER. THE BEST OF ITS KIND SO FAR.

This vehicle is not durable!
Our 4 year old put less than 20 hours on this car and the rear wheels are slamming back and forth to the point that it's no longer useable. The engineering design of the rear is poor. The motors are attached to each wheel separately and not anchored to the vehicle.

The vehicle is sharp to look at and the kids love it, but it is not durable and at the price is a poor purchase. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars How to Get Around a University Campus in Comfort & Style
This is a very well made, cost-efficient scooter for covering significant ground in comfort and style. While perhaps not appealing to teenagers who like to go very fast, it's top speed of 12 mph is certainly more than adequate.A large diameter from wheel with cast spokes and two smaller rear wheels add significant stability to this scooter. All wheels are mountain bike quality tires, and the two rear wheels appear to be solid rubber. In between the two rear wheels is a large "razor scooter-like" tire which adds stability to the scooter if you were to tip back.A large rubber covered platform to stand on makes this scooter easy to ride.Note that you need to stand a bit toward the front of the platform so that the scooter does not angle back, but this does not impede the quality or ease of use of the ride. The scooter is easy to put together--10 mins max, and comes with all tools you need, although having a vise-grip is helpful. Also has a very small turning radius if that is a requirement.All-in-all, a fun and cost effective way to get around, sort of like the poor man's Segway.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun
I'm a TRU employee. We recently started using one to get Birthday Club sign ups. I got to use it.

First off I'm heavy set and over the weight limit. It STILL performed very well. Got good speed and can make tight turns in a narrow aisle. Plus it works well at getting people to sign up.

I love using this thing. I used it for almost 2 hours before it started to loose power. My added bulk makes it have to work harder but it still works great.

If a grown adult employee can love this thing I'm certain a ten year old kid would love it too.

Little Powerhouse
My son recently received a Power Wheels jeep that had been in use for over 3 years before he got it. The batteries had not been charged as specified in the instructions, and they died shortly after he started using it. The jeep couldn't run on concrete, much less on grass.

I replaced both existing batteries with these, which incidentally are a different colour from the picture, and the jeep now runs fine on most surfaces.

It requires 18 hours charging time before you can use the batteries, so be prepared for some impatience before the vehicle can actually be used. You have to charge them after each use, and also once a month if the vehicle is not in use, at 16 hours each time.

Tech support from Fisher Price is non-existent in my part of the world, where 800 numbers are not accessible, because their site doesn't have a customer service or tech support e-mail address listed. I needed important information, because I learned that the model I have was recalled for electrical problems, and I wanted to see exactly which parts needed to be fixed to solve the problem.

I'm sure that these batteries will last a long time with proper care, but wish the tech support was better

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it!
I bought this for my daughter when she was 9 mos and she absolutely loved it. She is now 11 mos and loves to push as well as ride it. It's very easy for her to turn the "car" herself from its position since its not too heavy for her. She is not walking on her own as of yet but sure feels proud of herself when she pushes this across the room.

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding value
I bought this for my son when he started walking at 7 months. After one day, he had it mastered and was walking all over the house with it. At ages 1 and 2, he rode it everywhere. He absolutely loved it. At age 3, he asked me to take it down from the rafters so he could ride it some more. I have since passed on the toy to a friend's baby who is also enjoying it. You definitely get your money's worth!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great, sturdy ride on
We bought this for our daughter before she could walk, and immediately she loved it. It's low enough that she felt secure as we pushed her around the house. As she learned to walk, this ride on was a perfect helper. It's sturdy so it doesn't tip, and it's handle is positioned well for her to hold it without having to bend over awkwardly. Now that she's bigger (and walking) she loves this toy as a ride on, and she still likes to push it around.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun for even the very young!
My niece received this toy when she was only SIX MONTHS OLD. It was great for her first time parents, who were waiting for some real indication of a real person inside that baby body. They would put her on, tell her to hold the handlebars and to 'put her feet up'. She actually did it and understood them (I'm sure after being shown a time or 2). Then they would push her (carefully of course) and she would squeal with delight. It was great for them to know she actually understood them and could interact with them!

5-0 out of 5 stars An awesome grow-with-me toy!
I purchased this for my son when he was about 10 months old. I thought it would help him get from one place to another. That is exactly what it did! He will be 2 in a couple of days and I must say that it is his favorite outside (and inside) toy. He pushes it, rides on it, and throws it off of the deck steps. It is like a timex....takes a licking and still is ticking. It's very durable. (...) ... Read more

Editorial Review

This combination tricycle/stroller offers an excellent solution for ambivalent preschoolers who want to pedal one moment and be pushed along the next. As with all Radio Flyer rides, the Voyager is built to last, with a durable steel frame and heavy-duty treaded tires. The trike’s unique feature is its steering and pedal lock that allows kids to either pedal or just sit back and let parents do all the work. For parents’ ease of use, the Voyager has a comfortable stroller-style push bar that adjusts to four different positions, and a snap-on snack tray that holds two drinks and a set of keys. A removable nylon backpack with a waterproof interior is attached to the stroller with velcro, and provides just enough space to carry diaper bag necessities. Kids will love the ringing bell and bucket on the back of trike. Parents will love the adjustable seat and safe turning radius that helps to prevents the trike from tipping. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Great Idea - Bad Design
I saw this in the store and it was exactly what I was looking for in a trike for my son. Brought it home, assembled it, and within a week the steering mecanism broke - basically my son wanted to steer one way and my wife wanted to go in a another, battle ensued and the wheel went in one direction and the handlebar went in another. Keep in mind a 2 1/2 year old stuggled and won against his mother. Tore it apart and found that a cheap plastic ring around on the frame connected it with the cables and the plastic ring got stripped in the tug-o-war. Only way to fix is to replace frame!! Manufacturer offered no assistance - a total loss for the purpose it was purchased for.

Not what we expected!
We bought this for our son when he was 18 months old! The Stroller option lasted all but 3 months and snapped! We are not even able to get any replacement or a way to fix it! To use as a trike it is not all that convenient either! The wheel has some kind of system that will let the pedals go freely and when my son tries to pedal backwards, nothing will happen. It is not easy to explain to a 2 and a half year old that if we wants to back up he needs to get off the bike and turn the bike around! I would not recommend it, it is expensive and does not hold what it seems to promise!

We like our trike
We bought this trike for my daughter for x-mas. She has been on it several times in our neighborhood and the local park. We haven't had the cable snap nor had any problems in steering it. My daughter is slowly getting the idea of pedaling but still needs help when steering. I would definitely recommend this trike to a parent with a toddler learning to ride.

Fun while it lasted (which wasn't long at all)
Really wish I could say we loved this tricycle. It has great features with the attached backpack, cupholder, and advertised steering capability; unfortunately, the steering cable snapped after only a few rides and now it's useless. Could we get a fix for the cable? Maybe. But, since we don't feel like 'fixing' an expensive trike every 6th ride, we returned it instead. We tried to save money by buying this instead of a Kettler. Instead we've learned an expensive lesson (which is: there's a reason the Kettler steering mechanism controls the back wheels, rather than a cable system which attempts to steer the front wheel). Bummer, since it had such potential to be so cool (and was a piece of junk instead).

Outstanding toy at a fair price
The wife and I purchased this trike for our 21 month old son and he adores it. The only problem I had is that the steering cable that controls the adult steering handle broke, rendering it uncapable of turning by the supervising adult. But to Radio Flyer's credit I called their customer service and told them what happened, they told me they were aware of the problem and proceeded to tell me that the issue with the cable has been re-engineered to avoid this from happening any further. They then told me they were sending out a replacement part free of charge, they shipped it first class and in less then a week I had the new part along with easy to follow instructions on how to replace it. Now the steering feels structually sound. Although the trike did break I was extremely pleased to see a company stand behind their product and offer replacements free of charge. Way to go Radio Flyer, now if I can only get our son to play with the other toys in the house I will feel like it was all money well spent.. ... Read more

Fun for twins, but there is one problem...
My 11 month old twins have enjoyed their swing together since they were about 7 months old. They do grab at each other's hats and hair, but if I give them each something to hold, it solves that problem. My neighbor tried to put her almost two year old in the swing and the seat belt would not fit around her waist. This will only work for this season, I guess...

Just make drain holes and there's no problem
As a mommy of many kids an owner of a daycare, I need as much help as I can get. This works great! I can have two of the triplets in one, and my youngest and another one of the triplets in the other! There is a problem with draining, but all you have to do is drill drain holes in it (I know its hard to drill in such a nice swing, but its a necessity) and you're set.

About the straps- I ended up getting creative and making straps for the seats.

Close range!!
I have this swing in my yard. My 14 month old son and 10 month old nephew use it together. This swing will not get much more use after this, since it is VERY short and the kids are leg to leg (kicking eachother and whatnot). They can reach one another and they pull the hair out of one anothers head, LOL! Another thing I did not like was the straps. They are around the legs not the waist, therefore, my 14 month old son arches his back and can actually stand up wearing the straps. DANGEROUS! It is a cute design but needs improvement.

1-0 out of 5 stars not ment for long legged kids
The old style of this product is SO much nicer!!!! This one has a floor in and if the kids are long legged they do not fit! (unless they want to have their chin to their knees.) It is also a very short lived product because of this aswell. Please bring back the old style ..... it is so much better but only older daycare providers have them.... and they don't want to give them up, as they know what a great thing they have. I would not suggest this to anyone; short life product for the money.

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Nice Twin Swing
I have a set of 9 month old twin boys who absolutely love this swing. They sit facing each other and have a blast "talking" to one another. It's nice for a mom of twins and another child to be able to push all three kids at one time. (The boys in the caterpillar and my daughter in her own swing.) I would definately recommend this toy to any parent who has more than one small child. ... Read more

ouch
i used to have a razor scooter i was having so much fun i would ride it every chance i got. But one day i was riding it right after it rained and i went into the garage made a turn and slipped and fell on my arm. then a few days later my arm still hurt and had to go to the hospital luckely it was just a sprain. it is not that relieable on making sharp turns. don't buy this item it is dangerous.

Eight yr old daughter was thrilled!
My daughter has been begging for one for two years. We waited until we felt she was developmentally ready for it and would be responsible enough about safety. When we rolled it out her face was priceless! She hasn't been off of it. It seems to be easy for her to fold and carry and the brake works very well. I am very pleased with this product.

Can I ride my Razor? Now?
I love my Razor!! My brother and mom have Razors too. We like to
ride them in the driveway and at parks. The Razor is much smoother than my old scooter. It's really, really cool!!!

Great Outdoor Fun
I have three daughters, who each have a different color razor scooter. They ride their scooters everyday after school and on weekends. They adore these scooters. It is great exercise for them too.

not good scooters for freestyle riding
I had this scooter for 3 weeks and then the deck snapped in half from freestyle scootering. Razor has made better scooters than this, this is a scooter that should not be used for freestyle riding. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Basically a re-tooled Big-Wheel, the Scream Machine has flash, speed, and maneuverability, but with the control and stability younger kids need. It has two fat, plastic rear wheels for maximum skid. The front, though, features a large traction tire that must be inflated. The tire is rubber because of the Scream Machine’s V-type brakes, which are operated from BMX-style, gripped handle bars. These brakes makes it much safer--especially on downhill runs--than bikes with the foot brakes. Leg room is adjusted by slidingthe bucket seat forward or back. The shiny frame, with shocks, is made of high-tensile steel that won’t rust or wear out after the first year. It has to be completely assembled by adults, however. To that end, a detailed instruction book and tools, including a wrench and Allen screwdriver, are included. --Diane Beall ... Read more

Replacement Parts
We are having a great deal of trouble with Razor. They have an affiliate company who handles shipping and company questions. My son's replacement rear tires are on back order, with no indication on when delivery will take place. I think I'm about ready to take him to Toys R Us to get a "Green Machine", since this company doesn't seem to be bothered with keeping 6 year old children hostage to their apparant problem with inventory.

A hit in the neighborhood!
Not since the Little Tikes Rocket (which from what I can tell they no loner make- a shame!)has there been a toy that has gripped all of our neighborhood kids. We live on a dead end cul-de-sac that has a slight incline that is perfect to get some speed for this kind of toy and everyone is loving it. I bought this for my 8 & 10 year old boys to give them something to do besides sit in front of Gamecube all spring break. Our neighborhood has had a lot of fancy and expensive "ride on" type toys - some electric. I feel kids have enough sit-on-your-butt-and-do-nothing toys and activities so I have refused (much to their dismay) to but electric ride-ons. However, as I said earlier, when they were younger they had a blue jet made by Little Tikes that had similar features as this kind of ride-on that they out grew a few years ago. The idea of this toy reminded me of that jet so that is why I bought it. I thought it would be a hit with my boys and it was. It is the toy everyone in the neighborhood waits in line to use!

Fun, fun, fun
Santa brought this one and we had to adjust the seat up to the closest position for a normal 6 year old. It took him 2 days to figure out how to spin it but then what fun. He doesn't use the brake though. Easy to put together. Tubeless tire so it was a little difficult to inflate. Lots of play value left in this one for years to come.

need to readjust age range
We purchased the razor scream machine for christmas. We adjusted the seat to the closest hole and my 5 year old son still can't reach. He is the same size as most of the other children in his age group. I know he'd love it if he could reach. So I have been trying to locate the scream machine jr.. He just turned 5, so maybe in a few months he'll beable to reach. We were all disappointed he couldn't ride it.

Pinches Fingers
We bought this toy for our 5 year old son. He is very tall so the seat is perfect at the furthest setting. The 2 problems that we have had are 1) the back wheels are already torn up after only riding around the block on sidewalks twice and 2) He has already twice turned around to tell me something and ran over his hand with the back wheel which left pretty big cuts on his fingers. He loves riding this but it is one problem that deserves mention. ... Read more
