An Excellent First Bike Choice
I had purchased the Radio Flyer All-Terrain Tricycle, but it was poorly constructed, and had to be returned. This bike was suggested as a replacement, and it is wonderful! My 4 year-old has no trouble stopping or steering (as he did trying another "big boy bike.") He loves to ride "super-time fast" and feels so proud of himself.

I strongly recommend this as a first time bike. The training wheels ride smoothly on the ground, providing as much security as a trike. The bell is fun, and the classic red looks can't be beat. The seat and handlebars are easily adjustable, and can accomodate a larger child (mine is 44 inches and growing...)

nice, but not so durable
My son got this for Christmas and loved it, but after just 5 months of normal play from a 3 year-old, the spokes on the tires all began to fall out. We tried to get them back in, but had no luck. Soon, the spokes became entangled with the bike's chain and would cause the chain to fall off. I took this bike to my local bike repair shop and they could not fix the spokes. I have written the company and am awaiting a reply. I recently visited a toys-r-us store and I looked at this bike on display in the store, and it too had some loose spokes. I would not recommend this bike.

old time fun and memories
Ipurchased this bike for my nephew's 3rd christmas. At first I thought he wouldn't be able to master it, but within minutes he ways flying down the sidewalk like a pro. When he returned home I had to ship it to him...his only conversation with me was"auntie where's my bike?"This was one toy he truely loved. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Designed for the youngest mountain biker in the family or the kid who is a complete daredevil on bicycle, skateboard, or scooter, this Mongoose helmet offers the ultimate protection around the face and head. Resembling the shape of a motorcycle helmet, this bike helmet has an interior liner made of expanded polystyrene foam and an external plastic shell. Foam pads within the helmet provide extra cushioning and sliding buckles help adjust the helmet to the most snug fit possible. A high-performance visor screens out the glare when riding on sunny days, and an integrated chin guard helps protect the face in the event of a forward fall. Six vents on top of the helmet and five in the mouth and face area provide superior ventilation. This bicycle helmet complies with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's standards for riders ages 5 and older. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

cool riding
this helmet is great when i fell off my electric scooter instead of falling and scraping up my face it protected and i would recomend it to children of all ages and if you have a toddler into everything this this is the helmet for him and it looks very cool

Mongoose Helmet
It works great with my mini motercycel and is very strong. I still have the same helment after all of my falls.

Awesome Protection ... Great Value ... \(^u^)/
My step-son has the Mongoose BMX Full Face Helmet and it has an awesome stylish design of a angry Mongoose and the helmet does what is it suppose to do protect your head. It's universal use is awesome. My step-son has used this when I bought him his first dirt bike and currently using it while riding his pocket bike. And the first review is right ... you look cool wearing this than the regular bicycle helmet. He looks like a motorcycle rider who accidentally shrunk his motorcycle in the wash. LOL It's cute and gives him the full protection than the just half a regular helmet would give you. I recommend it for parents who are looking for secure protection from falls and accidents.

good helmet
good looking. if you are wearing this you dont look like a dork which you probably would look like with a regular helmet.

Great helmet
This helmet is great - very lightweight, yet more protection than my child's old helmet. A great piece of protective gear at a good price. An added benefit is the cool look. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Kids who want to take their bike off-road to the dirt trail will love Rhino's cool Misfit bicycle. The Misfit has a rugged BMX-style frame with a masculine-looking box-shaped down tube and front stays. The durable 20-inch chrome suspension fork (holding the front tire) stands up to rough riding. The bike's slick brushed aluminum and black finish, alloy pedals and wheels, and front and rear alloy pegs make this bike look extra tough. An alloy quick-release valve for the comfortable padded seat allows for quick height adjustments and a kickstand props the bike up when not in use. For safety, the Misfit has hand brakes for the front and back tires; front, back, and wheel reflectors; a chain guard; and comfortable rubberized handgrips. The frame and fork on all Rhino bikes are covered by a lifetime limited warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

Rhino Bike
This bike is great. Great for the money. Nice aluminum Bike, that is grweat for tricks. Its extreamly fast and stylin. The onlyu thing i changed was the handlebar pads that u hold on to...they come in a transperent type color with a lil tint on purple which looks ugly. Only about 5 bucks to change it but this bike is the best.

NOT FUN!
We bought this scooter for our 3 1/2 year old. The back wheels do not have a protective cover over the screws that stick out of the center of the wheel like most scooter for young children do. Our son's ankle would constantly hit it when he pushed off with his foot. He refuses to ride it now and has bruises from it. To make matters worse Toys R us does not accept returns of toys that have been put together. (...)

Fun for little rangers with scooter-riding big brothers
Our three-year old loves the Power Rangers and he also begs for rides on his brothers' scooters. When he saw this scooter he was very excited and couldn't wait to try it.

He has been riding around on this scooter for a couple of days and enjoys it very much. Although the scooter has three wheels, it has a narrow profile and can still tip over and cause some minor scrapes. However, as long as it's not going too fast it can be handled by a three-year old.

The scooter seems durable enough. It managed to survive the very poor packing job done by Toys R Us... actually, it wasn't packed. It had a shipping label slapped on the side of the retail box. The box arrived via FedEx ground with all corners crushed and part of one end caved in, tape torn and partially opened.

Surprizingly, there was no damage and no missing parts! The only small parts are a couple of washers and a fastener which were all wrapped and taped to a larger part. There are just the front handlbars/wheel part which slides into the rear footbed part with some washers and a single bolt to tighten. Very easily assembled.

I expect that we will get a lot of use out of this toy. ... Read more

Very cute, but very hard to steer
This is an adorable lil' fire engine, and my twin sons love the look of the toy, and enjoy playing with the bell and the horn. But it is also VERY heavy, awkward and has very little in the way of turning radius. The steering wheel just barely turns left and right. This frusterates them more often than not, which is why I rate the toy only a 2 for fun. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Nh Mom recommends
Our vacation at the beach was made terrific by our wagon for two by Step Two. It is durable, light weight, easy to maneuvre, and my children love the door, drinkholders, and cargo hatch. The fold-down handle makes it easy to load into the car, and it's front wheels have 360 degree turning capability. my 4 year old and two year old loved going for walks on the hard sand at low tide, and it was helpful for walks into town for ice cream, etc. I saw lots of other families with the same wagon who also loved it. It was a cinch to assemble too.We will be enjoying our wagon for two for a long time. Thank -you Step Two !

wagon for 2 plus
Great wagon except no seat belts for the younger ones who may want to stand up while riding. Also if your child leans on the door it opens easily. Not the safest wagon on the block.

Difficult Door
We liked this wagon for its features (door, 2 seats, cupholders, storage area). However, the door is difficult to close and does not stay latched while in use. I called Step 2 about this problem and they sent us a new door, which still has the same problem. I would not recommend this wagon based on the poor door design.

durable dozer
we purchased this wagon twelve years ago for my daughter. she had used it in many different ways, including a very ingenious spa(duct taped all the holes and seems). my husband and i have used it in all of our landscaping projects and it works like a wheelbarrow. just yesterday we finally broke it while piling large rocks in it. the front wheel broke off (just too much weight, about 300 pounds) we are now going out to buy another one. this wagon will out last your kids, and probably their kids too!

5-0 out of 5 stars Granddaughter Jenna loved it
We bought this wagon for our Jenna's 1st birthday. She loved it because of the little compartment that she can put things in, she can sit on either end and she loves to open and close the door. When we gave it to her at the end of her birthday party after she opened all of her presents, she got the biggest smile on her face and made her grandpa's day. Now almost a year later she still loves to play with her wagon. We are going to order one for our grandson Andrew for his 1st birthday. ... Read more

When little wobblers are bored with walls and sofa edges, andthere's no one to offer a hand, they can two-foot it safely across thatopen ocean of living-room floor with the help of the Step Start walker. This dual-purpose toy acts as stable support as they learn to walk, then lets them roll along when they want to ride. Once they are secureon their legs, the walker converts easily to a first ride-on toy. (Onlyadults can operate the wheel-lock mechanism.) 5-0 out of 5 stars Great purchase!
We bought this for our daughter for Christmas when she was 9 months old. When she first got it, she preferred to play mechanic(flipping it over and playing with the wheels and underside)and she also liked to play with the toys on the top. So far, we have not had any trouble with the attachments. Now that she is learning how to walk, she loves to use the toy in the walker mode and strolls around our living room. We have found that when she does hit an obstacle, the toy has held up well and is very sturdy. In the car mode, she loves to have us push her around. She can push herself backwards, but she has not gotten the going forward part down yet. When she wants to get off of the car, we have found that it is low enough to the ground that she has not hurt herself. Overall, we have felt that this was a great purchase and plan to pass it down to the next one!

5-0 out of 5 stars Worked really well for us
My son received this toy for his first birthday and it quickly became a favorite. One of the other moms pointed out that her child fell forward when using this as a walker. My son had the same problem, but we got around it: my husband pulled the lower half of each wheel out, sort of like a toe-out old VW bug, which meant the wheels couldn't spin, but just slide along the floor. That slowed things down enough so my son could push and walk at his own pace. When he got more secure on his feet, my husband pushed the wheels back in so they'd spin easily, and my son just pushed the toy around faster, steering around furniture. My son likes to open the trunk (the green part in the front) and put things in and take them out. He never really used this as a ride-on toy--too small for him. Overall, nicely made. No sharp edges. Some slight assembly required--snapping parts together. Ours was missing one of the (blue part at left of green trunk), but no big deal. Seat is shaped like a western saddle, for any parents who want to introduce their child to the feel of a saddle shape at a young age.

glots of fun
this toy was one of the best things we bought our son for his 1st birthday. he loves it and so dose his little friends. It even was interesting to my 4 year old brother. so I know we will get our monies worth out of it.

2-0 out of 5 stars Good Idea, Not A Good Toy
We were very excited to receive the Playskool Walk n' Ride as a gift for our (at the time) 11 month old dd. She wasn't quite walking yet and couldn't wait for her to be able to use the Walk n' Ride to keep her on her feet.

We did not find it that difficult to put together, however it did take some time (I might suggest putting together before actually giving it as a gift to child) - dd was uninterested by the time we finished putting it together.

Our daughter was able to push toy without the problem that some other reviewers listed as "not enough room for the feet". She did however have some difficulty turning the toy in a different direction. Because it was so heavy, she had to use all her might to turn sideways. And do to it's bulkiness, we found that she could only play with it in large open areas. Since she was a winter baby, this meant moving the kitchen table to the side of the dining room, just so she could play.

As she progressed we thought maybe we'll give the "ride" part a try. I was equally disappointed with this feature. Due to the "bulkiness" of the toy she had a difficult time swinging her little legs over the toy to get on and off. Also when she sat on it correctly the handle was so close to her chest it really didn't look comfortable and didn't allow for her to get much leverage to push the toy forward.

On a positive note, some of the sight-touch-sound features (such as the flexible antenna, spinning drum, clicking gear) did provide some pleasure for dd. Also, the toy seem to be sturdy enough that dd very seldom tipped it over.

All-in-all I would save your money on this one.

2-0 out of 5 stars cute, but comes with flaws
It is difficult to walk with this toy in the upright position. The support bars that stick out holding the wheels are too close together, not leaving enough room for walking feet. My son constantly tripped on them when he was learning to walk. Even after he was a steady walker of his own, when he'd try to push this toy (just for fun) they would trip him up. As a riding toy we found that the yellow handle bar that comes up is in the way of a childs knees. No child has every been able to push it forwards because of it, only backwards. Very poorly designed! It is a cute toy though, and kids seem to like the little gadgets on it. ... Read more

Soup up the wagon and upgrade the ride to first class with this top-quality padding from the makers of America's original little red wagon. One-inch-thick pads smooth the wrinkles of the road and cushion and protect passengers from jolts and bumps. All cushions are covered in bright red, matte-finish vinyl, with edge binding sewn in heavy-duty thread. The bed pad measures 14 by 1 by 32.5 inches. The two end pads measure 15 by 1 by 5.625 inches, and the two side pads are 33 by 1 by 5.625 inches. The smaller pads fasten around the slats with Velcro webbing fasteners. The pads fit Radio Flyer wagons with stake sides (models #22, 24, 28, and 32). Ava Natov ... Read more

Radio Flyer Pads - Fit Great on Model 32
Folks, you can disregard the comments made by a previous reviewer who stated that these pads do not fit radio flyer wagons with two slats. They fit just fine on our Model 32 ATW wagon. The picture on the package does not match the contents exactly. There are large velcro pieces (3 on each side) and they wrap around the top slat. My son loves his wagon now and won't get out of it.

Should not be listed in accessories for ATW Cargo Wagon
This does not fit the ATW Cargo Wagon and should not be listed as an accessory for it. The pads are to small and leave big gaps.

Great for toddlers!
These make my son so much more comfortable when riding in the wagon. He will actually stay in for longer rides now that we have them. Just make sure to order the correct size for your wagon! So glad we purchased these.

Not For Wagons With Only Two Slats!!!!
I recently purchased this pad set for my #22 Radio Flyer Wagon, but had to send them back. If you check the Radio Flyer web site, you'll notice that the #22 Wagon sides only have two wide slats. When I received this pad set, I noticed the picture on the package shows a wagon with three narrow slats. The loops to attach this set of pads are intended to be affixed to the center slats. Since my wagon only has two slats, and they are wider, the loops were in the wrong spot and weren't big enough to fit around the slats on my wagon. I'm only guessing, but I think these might be for an older model of wagon.

You will love the pads for your wagon and they will fit if you buy the right size pad for your wagon model. There are two different sets, again make sure you buy the set that goes with your wagon model. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars My Son Loves This Toy...
I was excited to get this toy for my son when he was 10 months old. I rocked him in it at first, but he is slowly learning how to do it himself, which is fine. The loud noises don't scare hime, he loves to push all the buttons and hear the noises and see the flashind lights. The only problem that I have with this toy is that when the key is turned the noises go on, but they don't stay on while my son is rocking, even vigorously. They do however stay on if he is off of the rocker and I am rocking itwith my hand. My son is 12 months old and 21 pounds, I don't think that he is too heavy. I have read other reviews where they say that the sirens and the engine sounds go off the whole time that their child is rocking. I don't know whats going on, but all in all my son loves his cycle, and that is all that counts.

Quite Addicting!
My son received this as a gift for his first birthday - and he rode it ALL day. I felt bad b/c he wasn't interested in his other gifts. It makes the coolest sounds, and the harder you rock it the more "revving" the cycle makes. When you reach "Maximum" speed....the sirens come on. He goes crazy over this thing! It's a great toy. I would recommend it to anyone!

Fun but noisy!
I wish there was a volume control on this toy! It's got great sounds but they are loud. My son was given this rocker for his 1st birthday. He cannot get on and off by himself yet (he doesn't walk yet) so it's hard for him to use. He's not real keen on the rocking yet but I think he will be when he has more balance. He still plays with the buttons, of course. I like that this rocker is close to the floor in case he falls off.

The best gift!
My son got this for his first birthday. He is now almost 21 months old and still LOVES it! He brings it out all the time and plays on it. He loves to turn the key and push all the buttons. The faster he rocks it, the more it "revs" up! When our friends bring their kids over, they want to play on it too. We think it was the best gift ever!

Very loud!
My step son got this for his first Christmas in 2002 and he LOVES IT! It has held up very well and when he has it out its all he'll play with. We have had many tantrums when we have to take him off to eat or change his diaper because he loves it so much. He prefers it on carpet because the way he gets on and off he slides it in all different directions and he winds up doing the splits most of the time and isnt happy. I, however, highly recommend buying a bottle of Advil BEFORE you let your child play with it because it is very loud and it gets very annoying after a while. Ours "lost" its batteries. Maybe ear plugs to go along with the Advil too. It's a fun toy for kids and teaches them how to sit in a way that is different for them and it's a cause and effect toy too. All in all, great for kids, bad for parents heads. ... Read more

This sturdy plastic car gives toddlers and young preschoolers the basic thrills of a real car, while parents can relax, knowing that this cherry-red sports car can go only as fast as their kids' little feet can carry them. Children sit on a bench-style driver's seat and poke their legs through to the ground. When they start walking, the car begins to scoot. The front wheels swirl like stroller wheels, making them especially responsive to the steering wheel. The front dash features a pretend key with a Little Tikes key chain and a horn button that beeps when pushed. A small storage bin in back can carry traveling gear or simply a stash of road snacks. Approximately 35 inches tall, 25 inches long, and 16 inches wide. --Gail Hudson ... Read more
