Editorial Review

Baby Tad is a wonderful interactive toy that makes early learning fun andeasy. Baby Tad (short for tadpole) helps your preschooler learn shapes, colors, activities, and songs. When your little one presses a colored light-up button, Tad identifies the colorand shape indicated on the button. With his cheerful demeanor and infectious laugh, Tadoffers support and encouragement and will quickly become a close and trusted friend.Besides various greetings,a squeeze of Tad's hand brings forth favorite children's songs, sung in a squeaky, high-pitched voice. --Alison Golder ... My 2 year old daughter got this last Christmas. My first thought was she was to old for it,I was wrong. She plays with Tad, regularly and is now 3. She love to sing to the songs. I love that it turns it self off. The batteries are still going strong.
My 18-mo. old received this gift for his first christmas. He loves it so much. it goes everywhere with him!

5-0 out of 5 stars Baby Tad is a lifesaver!
My daughter got Baby Tad as a gift when she was 6 months old.At first she ignored it.Now she loves listening to the nursery rhymes during playtime.I would sing along with Baby Tad first then eventually my baby would hum along with us!Most helpful is the 6 minutes worth of Lullaby/Classical songs. When it's sleep time,I would just have Baby Tad play the lullabies and usually in 6 munutes my baby is asleep! We bring Baby Tad during long car trips too.The nursery rhymes keep my baby occupied when she's bored with her other toys and the lullabies help her settle into a nap when she's tired and sleepy.A true lifesaver!

5-0 out of 5 stars We all LOVE TAD
I love this toy. It has two volumes (loud/soft) and it plays sleepy music (you can set the minutes) and it is easy for little kids to push. My daughter got this gift at age 10 months now she is almost three and still loves to play with him. She really loves the kiss noises he makes (lips on his cheek). This was worth the MONEY!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Learning to hug
I love this toy for the fact that it taught our 8 month old daughter to hug everything in sight. Her's makes kissing noises and says "I love you" when you press the kiss on the cheek. She was a hug enthusiast after just a few days of playing with it! Now that she is 16 months old she is starting to understand the reward system for playing with the light buttons and has learned about turning it on and off by using the hands and foot. The tunes it sings are all her favorites now. My only regret is that I didn't buy it for her sooner. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Your Baby Will Love This Toy!
Out of all of the toys that my daughter has, she loves this one the most. I bought it for her when she was 3 1/2 months and she loves it still. It is easy for her to hold and shake. It is very durable-we take it everywhere. I have purchased other Lamaze products as well.and she loves them the best out of all of her toys. Great company, great products. Highly recommended.

4-0 out of 5 stars Hours of Play
Such a fabulous interactive cube. Lots of bright colors, jingles and jangles. My 4-mo little boy shakes it, stares at it, gums it, and reaches and grasps for all the rings and handles. Since he has had this cube his grasp has improved as well as his independent play time. Great for the stroller and car, small enough to transport all over. The only reason for the 4 out of 5 stars is that it is not machine washable. Great, interesting, he loves it. Also try the Lamaze catapiller, really impressed with this line of toys.

5-0 out of 5 stars Jingles, crinkles, chewable -- what more could a baby want?
This is one of our son's most beloved toys. It's amazing how much they've packed into one little toy. The big, soft handles made this one of the first toys he could successfully clutch and lift. He loves to shake it and hear the jingling noises. Whenever he's bored, we can offer this toy and it seems to satisfy him.

5-0 out of 5 stars great toy
I bought 2 of these for grandchildren as Easter gifts. They were 4 1/2 and 6 months old and they both loved them from the start. So I purchased another for my newest granson who is just 3 months old now. The 2 older babies had no problems figuring out how to rattle, shake, open flaps and chew on this toy.And it is still a favorite for both of them 2 1/2 months later. Levi likes to look at his but at this point thats about all he does with it. I'm thinking that even though it says 3 months and above they should be 4 months or so in order to actually try playing with it. Or maybe its because he was premature. At any rate it really is a good toy, has lots to offer and I would reccommend it for every young baby--it holds their interests for a long time and I'm sure it will do the same for Levi in another month or so--glad I purchased these. As always, LaMaze makes great infant toys and I think I've purchased everyone they've made and never once have I been disappointed. This one is a must have and well worth the money.

Editorial Review

What's the No. 1 group dance for the pre-school set? Hint: it's not the "Electric Slide" or "Cotton-Eyed Joe." You guessed it, and so did Elmo: the "Hokey Pokey." Though Elmo doing the "Slide" would be a sight to see, he masters the Pokey quite convincingly, to the probable delight of his toddling fans. After loading his foot with four "AA" batteries, press his hand and he performs the popular jig. He sticks out both his right hand and foot, shakes his body all about, then smoothly spins in place, thanks to a rotating platform under one foot. Elmo even spices up the beat, and sporadically speeds up the action; both innovations crank up the fun factor. The only downside: he was de-plushed, presumably because of all the mechanisms needed to help him dance and maintain balance. The result, still, is an impressive performance. He's just not very cuddly. --Diane Beall ... Read more

We hokey pokey right along!
Since my 1-year-old is an Elmo freak, we bought this for her for Christmas. She loved it from the first beat! It was hard for her to turn on at first, but once she got him going, she danced right along! And I have to admit, it's kind of a catchy jig! Our only problem was that the batteries ran out pretty fast. But other than that, we love Hokey Pokey Elmo!

It is an awsome toy!
I love Elmo and so does my niece. My co-worker had it, and I thought it was neat. Now I would like to buy it for my niece for her birthday and i can't find it any wheres in syracuse New york.

great toy elmo
i bought this elmo for my 6 month old elmo he loved it and we as adults thought it was ahoot i wanted one so did some of my family it is so sweet

Our kids LOVE Elmo!
My daughter got this for her first Christmas this past year and she is going on 7mos now but she absolutely LOVES this toy. She giggles and squirms whenever he's singing and dancing. Her 2 yr old brother dances with him too and loves when he falls over because he asks you to pick him back up. Granted he doesn't sing the whole song but who cares? It's the fun of dancing with Elmo. So far Elmo has survived 2 kids and a curious cat. The entertainment value and watching what your kids do when he dances and sings far outweighs the noise and not singing the whole song. I recommend this if you want to have a great time with your children.

LOVE IT!
My Greatgrandmother got this Elmo for me for Christmas, and I can't stop bouncing when he dances. I'm still pretty little, so I like to eat Elmo's fur, but when Mommy and Daddy play and dance with me, it's SO much fun! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars WE LOVE FREDDIE!!!
I bought Freddie when my son was 3 months old. We got him as a carseat toy - my son HATES being strapped into his infant seat. I can only say that Freddie was one of the BEST purchases we have made so far. Carter absolutely LOVES Freddie. And I love him, he keeps my son happy for long periods of time, and he is MACHINE WASHABLE. I have washed him several times, still looks new. I hope they never stop making Freddies!! Viva la Freddie!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Baby's favorite toy
Freddie is my daughter's favorite toy. She loves all the sounds he makes and all of his bright colors. She fell in love with him from the moment she was able to grab and hold stuff. I love that he is linkable. Where ever we go Freddie is always attached with some links!

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Toy!
Lamaze has done it again! This toy is one of my daughter's favorites. She has this one and the pupsqueak attached to her infant carrier and she loves them. They are definately worth the money. This is a great product.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it!
This is my babies favorite toy to chew on. She loves the little green antennas and silky wings to chew on. It worked well when she was too little to really hold things. You could lay it on her belly and she could shove it in her mouth. It also has a great connector to hook to her stroller strap so it does not fall.

5-0 out of 5 stars Freddie saves the day
We bought this for my son when he was about 4 months old. Quite honestly, he didn't pay too much attention to it then, but now that he is 5 months old he LOVES it. I make sure to pack it in his bag when we drop him off at my sister-in-laws and she says he'll lay on the floor and play with it forever. One day I forgot to put it in his bag and she didn't know what she was going to do. Freddie has so many textures and colors and don't forget those crinkly wings. It has definitely been worth the money. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
My 7 month old daughter is strong enough to pull herself up, but she is not strong enough to activate the toy. I have to press fairly hard myself to get it to work. It is a wonderful concept and she loves to hear the rhymes, but it would be nice if she could do it herself. We also have trouble with one of the buttons. It occasionally starts at the end of the song instead of the beginning or says welcome instead of playing the music. I love all of our other Leap Frog products, but this is not one that I would recommend.

5-0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT TOY
I puchsed this toy for my neice for Christmas and when I received it I was so impressed I bought one for my 5mth old. Its great for the crib and to take in her car seat.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not as great as I'd hoped
Leapfrog has a great rep and we received this as a gift. I do think that my 14 month old son enjoys the toy - he claps when the classical music or color songs play, but he gets very frustrated because he can't easily press the sections of the caterpillar. I sometimes have trouble getting them to play - and I shouldn't. It also seems to have a slight glitch where the on/off button and the numbers button do the same thing sometimes - I am guessing it is our particular unit. In all, I think the concept of this toy is great, but it would be nice if it was more baby-user friendly.
3-0 out of 5 stars Best Value ever from Leap Frog
This has got to be the best value ever from Leap Frog. You get numbers 1 to 5 with cute visuals that go with each number. The plush is soft and easy to hold or squeeze. My 5 month old neice can't put it down. A must have. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars wow!
I love this toy!! My son is only 8 weeks old and is not showing much interest in playing with the worm, but if I put the worm near his feet he loves to kick and kick adn kick!! It makes different noises each time he kicks! He loves listening to the music, but you have to have it near his head.

5-0 out of 5 stars An Everyday Fabulous Toy
This inchworm is exactly what my 5 mo little boy needed. It rattles, materials are colorful and bright, material makes crinkly noises... he loves it. He grabs for it and holds on tight, running his hands across the material to investigate its texture. The colors are bright and stimulating and its easy to carry around in the car and stroller. Love Lamaze products!

Of course like every 5 mo baby he enjoys gumming the worm and drooling on him, so the machine washability is a real plus!
A MUST HAVE FOR INFANTS! Makes a terrific gift!

5-0 out of 5 stars my grandson loves this
I purchased this for my grandson Liam who was then just about 3 months old. I wasn't thrilled with it. It has the crinkles etc. but they're very quiet and the music never worked. In fairness to Lamaze though, this is the 1st toy I've purchased that I didn't think was great. Having said all this I also have to say that this has been Liam's best friend from day one. At 7 months old he still adores it and it has to go everywhere with him including when he goes to bed. It is rather large and very colorful and I suppose thats what attracts him. I guess I bought it for him so the most important thing is that he's pleased with it.He is so I would purchase it again, he's the expert on the baby toys.

5-0 out of 5 stars where's the music??
My husband bought this for our newborn and after much dubiousness I have to admit, it's one of the best things he's ever bought for our daughter. It's her favourite toy of all, from day one until even now at 5 mths. But and this is a huge BUT. The music died after only ONE wash and the instructions says it is OKAY to machine wash the thing! I want my money back!
However, even with the lack of music, she loves to play with it, hugging it and stuff. After 2 more washes though, it's starting to sprout fluff and that's no good as she chews on it 24-7.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun, inexpensive toy for your baby
I bought this inchworm for my daughter when she was 4 months old. At first she stared at it and lightly touched the different textures but she has really warmed up to it in the past month.

The body is made up of different colored and textured fabric and in each one is a rattle, squeak toy or crinkly material. Along the body are knotted pieces of fabric for legs that make picking up the inchworm easy for a baby.

On the head of the inchworm if you press between its eye's it will play "rock a bye baby". The only complaint about that feature that I have is that it isnt very loud and you do have to press a little hard to activate it.

The back side of the inchworm can be used for measuring your little one's growth. It goes up to 24 inches and also has centimeter's.

I think this is a good toy that will keep your baby interested for many months to come. ... Read more

The pyramid-shaped Grip and Grab Rattle is made of sturdy, safety-tested plastic tubes in bright colors that are connected by clear plastic spheres. Each sphere contains a red bead, smaller beads move freely through the tubes when the rattle is shaken. So what's the big deal? You'll have to ask a baby. For some reason, they love this thing--won't put it down. They'll go to sleep to the sound of it being gently shaken in front of them, or will miraculously be distracted from the car-seat fussies. (Mini van dealers should include the Grip and Grab as a standard feature).

This Lamaze rattle also provides learning opportunities for babies, almost from birth. The tubes are about the diameter of an adult finger--perfect for grabbing with tiny hands, and later, for chomping with tiny gums and teeth. Early lessons in cause and effect and hand- eye coordination are taught when baby moves and the rattle shakes. Included in the packaging is a booklet about infant development and creative ideas on how to use the toy, as well as a U.S. lifetime warranty. Winner of several national awards, including a National Parenting Center Seal of Approval and a National Parenting Publications Honors Award. --Katherine Ferguson ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Baby loves it -- maybe a little too much!
My son, now almost 6 months old, loves this rattle. I think the bright colors are wonderful and the fact that he can see the little balls inside that are making the rattling noise is supposed to be good for his cognitive development.

When he was younger, it was great because even before he could really grab the rattle in his tiny hand, he could stick his arm through the middle of this toy and shake it up and down to make noise.

HOWEVER, I think my husband and I may be taking this toy away from him soon, because we're afraid he's going to hurt himself. He shakes this rattle around with such enthusiasm, he keeps smacking himself -- and we know from the times when he smacks us with it that it hurts!

4-0 out of 5 stars Lightweight, and educational
One of my favorite things about this toy is the pattern that the colored "legs" of the triangle are laid out in. When turned slightly differently from the picture, you get the 3 primary colors on the top, and the secondary colors that they make when blended together on the bottom. Very nice way to teach colors and color mixing. The baby loves to shake and rattle this all the time. Easy to sanitize after a long day in the park as well!

2-0 out of 5 stars Not My Baby's favorite toy...
I love Lamaze toys but this rattle has never been high on my daughter's list of favorites. She really didn't show any interest in this toy until around 5 months and that was pretty much b/c she wanted something/anything to chew on and this fit the bill but her interest didn't last long. The rattle seems to startle her more than others - it is pretty loud. Also, it's hard to clean.

5-0 out of 5 stars 18 Months old and still a favorite!
My 18 month old delights in this now as much as ever. It is often pulled from the toybox & carried around, shaken, and played with--with delight. :)

5-0 out of 5 stars A family favorite
I had bought this toy on a whim for my son when he was about [quite young]. He was frustrated with ordinary rattles that seemed flimsy and not something that he could practice his grip on. He loved it. Took it everywhere. Slept with it sometimes. He would hold it up while watching the beads fall into each ball and then shake it wildly. I am convinced it helped with eye-hand coordination. My wife and I also used it to teach him his colors. I am writing this now, because after sitting forgotton at the bottom of the toy box for over a year, my [young] daughter has disovered it. I've seen her hold it above her eyes, watching the beads fall, then shake it wildly. It is one of the best toys we ever purchased. But since our girl is a twin, I'll have to buy second one. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Bought it for the long haul
I took a chance buying this toy. I felt it was expensive, but reasoned that although my then 6 mo. old baby would not use it for more than a teether, he'd later be able to play it himself at age 2+. My son liked it initially, but beyond grabbing it and eating the handle, legs and tassles, he was not able to play it except by accident or with his feet by 8+ months. I (and other adults) play songs or notes for him, which he likes, and am hoping that in the future he'll play with it rather than use it as an expensive teether. He tries, but it's hard for him to play notes right now. I did not know that the toy was scented and thought it was from the strong-smelling odors of the store from which it was purchased. I do not like artificial scents, but it doesn't bother me now. If you like long-term toys, this is a nicely colorful, non-electronic purchase that encourages interactive play. I use it to also teach colors and or general play. I would give it 5 stars once my baby can play the notes.

Fun with Octotunes
I bought this for my son and when I took it out of the package and played it for my two month old son, he could not keep his eyes off of it. The colors facinated him, the sounds amazed him and he just wanted to stay focused on it as long as possible. He looked at it for hours, smiles at it and finds great enjoyment. I feel he will get plenty of use out of this fun, educational toy as well as being durable to take everywhere with him. I would highly recommend this for any baby to encourage thier visualization & listening skills, then motor skills later.

Great for everyone
We brought this toy for our son when he was 4 weeks old. Although we doubted he would be able to operate the legs on his own for a while yet it has prooven to be a fantastic way for adults to interact with him. He started by watching and smiling or just staring when we played the leg's. It then became something of interest for him to reach out for and then chew on. He's just about five month's now and when he see's it on the ground gives it a big smile and tries to wiggle around to grab at it. We love to sit down with him and squeal the legs while he mouths any part he can get to. I think it's a fantastic investment for those parents that really want to enjoy and be part of their children's lives.

more fun for me
We got this toy when my daughter was three months old. I figured she was a bit young and hoped she would enjoy it when she got a bit older. My husband and I had a lot of fun with it, and she liked it when we would play with it. For the most part, it sits untouched on the bed. It is quite cute, but when our daughter does try to play with it (she is almost two now), she has a hard time squeezing the legs hard enough to make the sounds. Not one of our best purchases, but maybe one of the cutest.

A Fun Interactive Toy
My middle daughter received this toy when she was a year old and just loved it. She loved the to look at the colors and patterns on him. She also liked to listen to the tunes that I played for her.(she didn't mind the mistakes) It is now two years old and we passed it on to my youngest daughter and she loves him too. The best part is you can still smell the vanilla fragrance. It soothed my three year old when she played with it and now its doing the same for her baby sister. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Good First Mirror
This mirror is well made. The mirror itself is framed with the red soft cover, but can be removed for cleaning. The mirror can be removed from the wedge shaped base and using the velcro straps attached to something else. The mirror itself is sturdy, so the reflection is not warped like some mirrors.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great first toy!
This was one of my daughters first toys and she loves it! It is nice because you can detatch the mirror from the base and put it anywhere. I attatch ours to my daughters play gym. She also loves the base because it has several colorful patterns on it. This toy is durable and easy to clean. I highly recommend it!

5-0 out of 5 stars a definite winner
Our son was given this mirror as a gift and he is fascinated by his reflection. He's 6 months now, and will spend almost a 1/2 hour reaching for the baby in the mirror. A half hour is a long time in baby world! We alternate between putting him on his stomach with the mirror in front of him, or lying him on his back with the mirror next to him. It's soft and durable enough for him to gum to death, yet it still looks relatively new. I'll probably give this as a gift for the next new baby in our family.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great first toy!
This is a great first toy. Starting early on we separated the mirror and hung it from the side of the cradle (and later the crib). The mirror is flexible and plastic, so is durable, but hasn't scratched much after 3 babies! It velcroes onto the triangular "block" which is soft enough to support baby. The surfaces are covered with the now common black and white and color patterns which seem to interest the little ones as well. With our youngest now at 1 they still find creative uses for it, most noteably for the 1 year old to squat/sit on. It is soft, yet firm enough that it comes right back to shape.

5-0 out of 5 stars Babies LOVE Mirrors!
I had this toy for my son and now I'm buying it as a gift! The mirror detaches from the wedge to hang in the crib (or just about anywhere!) and the baby can be supported on his tummy with the wedge. As my son got a little older I left the mirror on the wedge and he would play peek a boo with himself in the mirror. Babies really love looking at themselves in mirrors and mine is no exception. A really special toy. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Love This Toy!!
This is one of the best purchases I have made for my daughter. I bought it based on the reviews that it got, and they were right on the money. My daughter loves it. I started putting it in her car seat at about 2 months. We don't go anywhere without it. This company knows what works. She actively plays with it. It is very durable and it is pretty big. Definately worth the money. Great company, great products. I own other Lamaze products and have had success with them as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun for Infants
We got Puppysquuek as a shower gift since our nursery theme was dogs. I was so happy to get this toy, it was one of the first toys I introduced my daughter to. She enjoyed playing with him and looking at all the different colors patterns and enjoying his scent....all these toys stimulate all 4 senses I believe.

Now my daughter is almost 18 months old and Puppysqueek, sadly, has been put up due to the fact she no longer finds him as stimlating as her other toys. But boy we were sure happy to have him as long as we did.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pupsqueak is a must have!
This toy has it all. My daughter has loved this toy from the start. She is now 4 months of age and Pupsqueak goes everywhere with her. Her favorite part is the crinkly ears. The squeaker is great for distracting her when she is crying. And the bells in the feet are just now beginning to get her attention. I believe every child should have one of the Lamaze Learning Curve toys. I have read the reviews for the other toys and it appears that they are all as wonderful as this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Keeps baby entertained in the carseat
This was the first toy that my baby tried to "grab" so this is a special toy. Baby was very attracted by its bright color and the crunchy sound when the ear's squeezed. At first, baby loved to grab/pump its paws and the dog bone, but when he started teething, he loved to gnaw at its ears and the plastic ring. Now that he's 8 months, I keep this toy in the carseat and the puppy keeps him entertained and QUIET.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy!
My 8 week old loves this toy! The bright colors really attract his attention and it makes diffent noises depending on how it is handled. The link on the top can be attached to the stroller to keep it from being airborne while strolling through the park! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy! Keeps my son entertained while riding in the car!
My son totally loves this toy and so do I! He is able to easily squish the legs and play the different notes. With a little practice, you can also learn to play different tunes for your little one (a couple of songs are actually on the instructions label)

The hook at the top of the dog's head it great for hanging this toy to the seatbelt or baby's carseat...makes a great toy for the car!!!

My son loves to bite the ears and the tail, since he is teething.

Can't say enough about this toy! Too cute!

5-0 out of 5 stars Stops my baby from crying!
From 3 months on, whenever my son is fussy and I know he's been fed and changed, I always reach for the PuppyTunes. He loves looking at the bright colors and when he hears the notes, he just stops crying. It's a great distraction! At 6 months, he's still too young to press the paws himself to make music, but when he hears the notes, it just grabs his attention. This toy will keep him entertained for a long time.

4-0 out of 5 stars Teeth-things
I luuuuvvvvvv to chew on things! You'll see my reviews around here.Though this stuffed up dog doesn't answer or cares if I drool on him/her.

4-0 out of 5 stars INSTANT PUPPY-LOVE is a SURE THING with this toy.
This toys is truly a SURE THING!!! This will be your baby's first love. I bought this for my little nephew in December when he turned 3 months old. He must have this toy with him everywhere. Though he has many other colorful toys that make noises and play tunes and have mirrors ... none compares with Puppytunes. I even got him Hokey Pokey Elmo - which he also loves ... but he is attached to Puppytunes. It's so cute to watch him play with this. I actually chose this toy based on other Amazon customer reviews. Those comments turned out to be true!!! This toy is a "SURE THING."

4-0 out of 5 stars very cute, a little to big to handle...
My husband and I bought this for our 7 month old and it is really addorable but a little to large for her to grasp. She most certainly can not squeeze his paws for music, so our 6 year old helps her. Cute toy but maybe when she is old enough for her to try herself. ... Read more

Baby loves this toy
My 9 month old loves this toy. She spends long periods of time pulling the shapes out, shaking and squeezing them, chewing on them, and tossing them across the room. This is a wonderful toy that encourages independent play.

5-0 out of 5 stars Really Great Toy!
My baby starting playing with this at 4 months. It was definitely one of the best toys we ever bought her.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lamaze has the best toys!
I got this as a gift for my 6 month old son. The great thing about this toy is that it's baby friendly. It's a great take out and put in toy, but even more then that, the soft shapes each match a shape on the sides of the soft sorter but will fit in any of the shapes so he doesn't get frustrated. My older son sits with his little brother and helps him find the right shaped object to go into the right shape on the toy. And it has a great apple scent! Great interactive toy! ... Read more

Editorial Review

An innovative toy for those who are way too young to look after real fish, this soft baby toy is a seven by seven-inch "fish bowl" with two transparent side panels containing real water. Small aquatic critters float around in these narrow walls of water. Even more interesting are the four three-inch stuffy toys (a fish, starfish, clam, and crab) that fit into the "bowl" between the watery side panels; the magnifying effect of the sides really makes these toys (and anything else in the bowl) look as if they are under water. The soft base is weighted and makes the bowl quite stable. --Richard Farr ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy!!
We received this as a Xmas gift when my son was 1 month old. He has always like to look at the faces on the fish and has enjoyed the noise each one makes, but now that he is almost one, he plays with it for hours!! He loves to put the fish into the bowl, take them out, put them back in, and then he tries to put other toys in as well to see if they will fit. He plays with this on a daily basis. Disregard the other unfavorable reviews and definitely buy this toy. Your child will enjoy it!! Great value!!

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT TOY for Smart Babies!
This toy is great! I don't know what some of the other reviewers are doing, perhaps not interacting with their babies and expecting the toy to entertain by itself. Our son started playing with it at about 5 mos, especially the fish( le poisson) and crab (crinkle crab), just handling them, shaking them a little. By 6 mos he was taking the fish and others out of the aquarium and shaking them, etc. Now at 7 mos he can put the fish and friends in and out of the aquarium. He likes shaking them, manipulating them, throwing them and having a great time. Our friend's one year old also enjoys playing with this toy, placing the fish in and out and such. It is a toy that babies would play with on their own, but that lends itself to interaction with parents. It is not a loud, battery powered, flashy toy. I think it is a nice toy to use before a baby is quite ready for a shape sorter. They can work on coordination and not get so frustrated. The size of the fish, crab, clam are all perfect for small hands too. Great to chew on for teething! I strongly recommmend it and would get it for a friend in a minute.

2-0 out of 5 stars don't bother
I put it on my registry because it really is very cute. Too bad my daughter doesn't think so. I have given it to her regularly and at nine months she still has no interest in it. It is the least played with toy in her toy box. None of the kids in her playgroup ever looked at it either.

2-0 out of 5 stars Worth waiting until they are 9 months old
We gave this toy to my son when he was around 5 months old and I was afraid it may be on the boring side (my husband had really liked it). He has always responded to the faces on the sea creatures and been drawn to the shiny plastic sides or chewing on it all, but it's only now, at 9 months, that he's playing with it consistently. We put it away for a couple of months and now he is enjoying taking the animals out, watching the water move in the sides, and occassionally putting the animals back inside (he also enjoys throwing the animals out of his crib and watching them fall - and me fetch them from underneath). If you've given this to a young baby try reintroducing it periodically and you may be surprised.

2-0 out of 5 stars Boring
This is, in relation to all the toys available today, a pretty boring little toy. My daughter has never been very interested in it. Maybe it is the weird, plastic-y smell that it has . . . ... Read more

Cool
I got this as a shower gift and my son loves it. I have it hanging over his changing pad, and we change it from the sun to the moon at night and back in the morning. He's 4 months old now and he loves to coo and squeal at it. And he gets really excited when he can grab it and put it in his mouth! Yummy.

Favorite toy!
This is the BEST toy!!! My son has loved it from day 1! He's now 11 months and I still keep it in the car and use it for the stroller - he never tires of it! I now buy it for everyone I know expecting a baby! Great toy! The only problem was the squeaker in the green circle stopped squeaking.... but, my son still loves it! I highly, highly, highly recommend it!

just echoing: great toy but...
We keep Celeste exclusively in the car as a travel friend. The only problem is that for some reason the green arm's squeaker stopped making noise after only a few weeks; I'm not sure why. Otherwise it's still a hit. The stretchy arms are great to hang from the car seat handle b/c their motion kept Baby's attention. Unfortunately he's now in the bigger seat w/o a handle, but he still loves having Celeste as his car toy.

The color will catch your babies attention
My daughter has loved this toy from day 1. I attatch it to her changing table, car seat, stroller. She loves the bright yellow color and all of the dangling toys that make sounds and have different textures. She is now 5 months and still loves this toy. Plus when you flip it over onto the other side it turns into a moon and stars. She goes crazy for this toy

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun & Educational...you can't go wrong with that combo!
This is one of my 6 month old daughter's favorite toys. She's played with it from 2-1/2 months on and still adores it. The colors are captivating. The mirror on Tucker's tummy, it's crinkle noises and jingling feet are entertaining. The rings are great for teething and hooking this cute toy on just about anything. It's fun playing "peek-a-boo" with Tucker's feet and head (they all tuck inside the body). Well worth the money for this creative and entertaining buddy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Brianna's Favorite toy
My daughter is 6 months old and just loves this toy!!! Every time I show her this toy she get's all excited and gives me a big smile and starts to laugh, wiggle and kick her legs every where, because she wants to play with the toy. She just loves playing with the rings and chews on them as if they were teethers. The Mirror on his tummy is also great my daughter brianna stares at it non-stop, I love the way she reaches out to touch the image of herself in the mirror. Two of His legs Have rattles which my daughter loves to pull on his legs and the other two legs make a crinkling sound when you squeeze them. Also when you squeeze his head it beeps my daughter bites down on his head to make him beep and laughs hysterically every time. This was one of the best toys I every bought. Since then I have bought other Lamaze toys and they are all great. When ever we go anywhere tucker comes along with us...I loved this toy and so did Brianna!!!

wonderful toy
I purchased this for granddaughter Jamie who was 3 months old at the time. Six months later she still loves it and carries it everywhere with her. It is one of the cutest of the Lamaze toys. Bright colors,a mirror on his tummy and all the things that little ones adore. This toy has withstood the test of time and still is in great condition, as are all the Lamaze toys I've purchased. Its so reasonably priced and so cute that you can't possibly go wrong. This is a must have as are most of the Lamaze toys.

Awesome, Awesome Toy!!
I bought Tucker for my 2 month old. He absolutely loves it. It's the only toy that he currently plays with. Every feature is perfect for his little, learning fingers and eyes. He smiles everytime he looks in the mirror and everytime we put the turtle anywhere near him he stares at it because of the colors. He also enjoys the sounds of the bells and rattles. Most of all, its the only toy he'll hold on to. It's light enough that he'll grasp the rings or hug it all the time. It's easily portable: if he's not holding it, then we can put it in the carrier with him and he's able to look at it anywhere he goes. I highly recommend this product as a good first toy.

Fun for Car rides and Out to Eat
My husband loves buying these toys for our 18 month old daughter. He has been doing so since she was under 4 months old. So I was in no way surprised that Tucker was added to our family on the last visit to Babies R Us. Our daughter really seems to like Tucker, especially on car rides, in fact we keep him in the car for that reason. She loves his colors and mirror and sweet face. But what she really loves is the fact you can stick his head inside his shell and play peek a boo! This keeps her entertained for quite some time! ... Read more

Fun
This is an exellent toy for all ages. Its educational porpose is about the dogs body parts. It is soft and i think it is very soft. It is a great gift for all ages and almost the very best friend.

The best comfort toy for little ones.
I recently purchased Darby for my first grandchild's 1st Christmas. He would never hug us so we taught him how to hug and love Darby - now we get smothered with hugs!! He sleeps with his Darby and has a big smile for him each morning. I couldn't wait for Christmas to give it to him. I brought the box home and left just his nose poking out! It was wonderful to see my little grandson's eyes light up and watch him tentatively touch Darby's big head. He immediately pulled him out of the box and laid down on him. Darby is so soft and cuddly that he is considered the best of comfort toys for little ones. It was well worth the cost. Thank you Animal Alley!

Can't wait to give it to my Grandson
Wow!!!! I received Darby within three days. Fast shipping, thank you Amazon and Toys R Us. Darby is soooo cute, I opened the box and out came a very huge dog. I can't wait to give it to my Grandson. Darby is so big, soft and cuddly. I hated to put him back in the box. I don't know if we can keep him in there until Christmas. My older kids think Darby is adorable and irresistable that they want my grandson to have it right now. I know it a little expensive for a stuffed animal but it is well worth the money. Darby requires no batteries, won't break and no pieces to loose which is a big plus to me. I am sure my grandson will enjoy him for years to come. I recommend Darby to anyone who wants to have fun, love and hug a big dog. He is so tempting and I soo am glad we got him for our grandson.

cuddly,soft,floppy,comfortable,cute fun
My mother got this dog for my son last Christmas when he was one year old and everytime we watch tv at her house, we drag this dog out. When I say we, I mean the entire family - not just my son. It's so soft and squishable that you can smoosh it under you to get just the right amount of height for on-the-floor tv viewing. And his fur feels wonderful for taking naps. I myself have fallen asleep on him numerous times. My son loves to get on top of him and pretend that he's taking a ride somewhere - he just pulls the ears like they're reins. He also loves to drag it around and jump on it sometimes. In a year, it's taken quite a bit of abuse and hasn't needed a repair stitch yet. The great thing about buying this dog is that it's a toy that I know he'll never outgrow. Even when he's a teenager, I'm sure he and his friends will want to use this comfortable dog as a pillow for watching television. The only problem with this dog is of course, storage - this puppy is BIG! At my mother's house, he generally lays on the guest bed until we come over. And sure, he's a little pricey, but he is a very well-put-together and versatile toy, which in my opinion makes it worth the money.

My buddy liked this a lot. Only complaint would be he is [so] huge and occupies lot of space. ... Read more

Editorial Review

A Toys "R" Us exclusive, this jumbo-sized Darny makes a soft, sweet companion for pet and plush lovers of any age. Big floppy ears, deep dark eyes, large paws, and a cute tail are all covered in the softest pink and beige fur imaginable. Darny's cuddle quotient goes up even higher, given that she is slightly understuffed for extra "squeezability" when humans need something to soft hug. This Darny is quite possibly the largest dog around. ... Read more

All ages
I bought this for my girlfriends 21st birthday, and she loves it. It's almost as big as she is, and it takes up most of her dorm room bed, but she's happy, so i'm happy.

Happy Dad
I bought this for my daughter on her 4th birthday and she love's it, she try's to carry it around with her but it's just too big for her to carry, she look's so cute when she does carry it around, I want to get my wife one soon, she's loves stuffed animal

A Great Gift
My older cousin bought this for her toddler-aged daughter for Christmas and she LOVED it to death!! All day she was dragging it around the house (or at least doing her best) or climbing all over it. It is very durable and great for younger kids who can occasionally "throw" their toys at walls and people, because it is too big for young children to easily pick up. It would be a great gift for girls of any age, even my teenaged cousin thought it was sooo cute!!

For kids of all ages
Got this as a last resort for my 2 1/2 year old neice for Christmas -- she adores it as did her brothers and sisters ages 6 - 12. Just for smiles alone, this is a winner. And, I have to admit snuggling with it a bit myself before the wrapping!

Sweet
I got this for Christmas, only it was brown instead of pink. My parents are always asking if the can lay on it. It's extremely soft and it's so comfy! I lay on it whenever I'm playing video games. Interesting, isn't it (sarcasm). Oh, and before I got it I thought the paws were attached, and just to let you know they're not. I reccomend this a lot!!!!!!!!! ... Read more
