Your Barbie fan can create home videos with the Barbie Wireless Video Camera. The frosted-pink camera, which comes with a detachable, handheld microphone; a tripod; a receiver unit; and a blank videotape, connects to your TV and VCR to transmit and record home videos. The camera itself is a compact and sturdy image transmitter, and doesn't actually do any recording. You'll need your VCR to do that. It's got a viewfinder, an adjustable hand strap and a built-in condenser mike, as well as a jack for the external mike. This is Kinda Iffy
I got this for my daughter for her birthday last year in May & she has played with it MAYBE 3 times for no longer than 45 mintues combined!!! It was to many wires everywhere. The last time she played with it, a large yellow glowing light appeared on the television over our sofa where she was directing. We though it was the sunlight shinning in from the patio doors, or prehaps the windows, or even from the light fixtures above. NOPE, NOPE, and NOPE!!! That light would not move and only was projected on the television while she had that thing on. Needless to say we all got spooked and it has been in the box since.

Don't waste your money
This thing needs to be hooked up to the vcr to work. so your child cannot take it outside.

A Camera for any Princess
This camera is great.We got it for our 4 year old to take to Disney with us and it not only took decent pictures but was very durable as she dropped it a couple of times.She loved being able to put all of the pictures with her and the princesses in the album and take to school for show and tell!!!!! Lost Memories
My son received this camera as a gift at a "big brother" party / shower so he could take pictures of his new baby brother. He took pictures at the hospital when our new addition arrived and then took it on school field trips. His teacher allowed him to use it on his birthday at school to capture some of his birthday memories. When we took the 3 rolls of film to be developed, not one picture came out. My son was devistated. He has since given it to his baby brother so he can "push the bottons". I overheard him telling his little brother "not to put film in it though because it doesn't work!" Now if a 5 year old can figure out it doesn't work, why didn't someone at the Chicco company wise up and do something about it?!?!

My son has so much fun with this camera. He loves taking pictures - we've already developed some pictures and he gets such a kick out of what he's done. This is a great way to express himself artistically.

I bought this camera for my young son who sees me using my camera all the time. I thought he'd get a kick out of tagging along and taking his own photos. I was right. He loves it. He's only 2 1/2, so I haven't even bothered loading film in the camera. He's just happy clicking away. The camera is wonderful. Absolutely worth the money.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!
My Mother-in-law bought two of these pieces of junk for grand children for Christmas, and neither camerad worked. The film did not advance correctly, the sprockets tore the film and the shutter release did not work on either of them. Both are completely useless, and the kids are heartbroken. Surprisingly good!
If you're looking for spectacular, prize winning photos, you aren't going to get it with a pen cam. However, we use this camera extensively in our lab and in the field for dental prosthetics. For analytic photos and (in the case of my frequent goofing off) spur of the moment snapshots, this is a good product for the price. Nothing pretty, no fancy settings, just point and shoot. Good camera for a kid or for someone who isn't hallucinating that they are the next Ansel Adams.

It has its uses(web cam)
My daughter got this for a Christmas present, she finally got around to using it. As much as it is for a kid. it does not the most kid friendly software, it took me a little while to teach her how to use it. Not the greatest pictures but then again IT IS a kids TOY. THE ONE GOOD THING we have found with it. Is the web cam part of it. With family of out state and Internet connections, we are able to talk through a messenger and they can see her as they type to each other.

Better than a toy, but not for your family photos!
This camera serves its purpose - it's a good digital camera for younger kids. Note that it's sold in the toy department, not in the electronics department. It definitely is NOT for use by anyone looking for quality. You absolutely do need to remain still for a second or two when taking the photos. You do NOT get high quality pictures (but you're kidding yourself if you thought you would for $20!) The camera is cheap plastic but that makes it very small and very light!

The camera stores only 19 photos at a time. You can adjust the resolution to be even lower (!) and the compression to be higher so that you can have 38, 76, or even up to 152 photos. You can delete one photo at a time or all of them at once - but you can't see the photos until you download them as there is no viewscreen. There is no flash, so the pictures come out better in bright light or daylight.

The camera comes with quirky but functional software to download, edit, and manage the photos, as well as software to record, save, and edit AVI videos. You must be hooked up to the software to take the videos, which do not have sound. You can also take continuous photos to make an eight-second AVI video without the computer. The photo and video software is upgradeable, so you don't get all the features implied on the packaging (but I've found many digital products come with free software that does exactly the same thing).

This camera fulfilled my expectations. I bought it for my four-year-old and seven-year old so they could take their own digital photos - and they like it. I wasn't going to buy them a "real" digital camera, but this one really works, so it's good enough to be fun.

this is one of the worst digital cameras i have ever seen. the screen dosen't show the picture and i dont have a port to make the pictures. in two words "it sucked "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don'tWaste Your Money
I was extremely disappointed with this so called digital camera. I felt like I couldn't go wrong because it was so inexpensive.The camera worked only one day and didn't work any longer.The pictures I took for the one day that I had the camera didn't come out very well at all.I returned the camera because I thought the camera was broke because the pictures came out so awful and the camera stop working.I was sent another camera and it still didn't work.What a piece of junk. ... Gift for Granddaughter that did not work
I bought the Off the Map Zoom Cam for my granddaughter for her graduation from pre-school. When it was opened, my son tried to load the film in the camera and it would not take the film. Her other grandfather, a trained photographer, could not get it to work either. I am returning it to the store here in Savannah and hope another one will work. I was extrememly disappointed. Guess it goes to show, when you do not buy a name brand item with a proven track record, this is what can happen. Not Toys R Us'fault. It is faulty merchandise from Wild Planet.
