wonderful
I think the Shakira doll is great because it was the first doll I owned that had a guitar.She comes with two outfits. She also didn't cost that much.

SHAKIRA IS GORGEOUS AS A BARBIE DOLL
I bought this doll and must say that i couldn't keep my eyes off her in the KB store. I knew that i just had to get her sooner or later. She comes with two authentic outfits, two pairs of high heel shoes (which you can't tell in the picture because the pants cover them), a working guitar, and a photo card of herself. Her hair has black roots also which are pretty cool. The doll is shaped like Shakira (very curvy) and looks just like her. I love her facial detailing which is hard to tell online. Her face shape is like the new Lea/kayla face shape used on dolls now. Her eyes are a dark brown that are emphasized with eyeliner and nude eyeshadow colors. This look is balanced out with nude lipcolor and a hint of blush. I like that this version of the doll has her lips lined and her face seems smaller than the other version. Her pants are so authentic looking. Just a gorgeous doll! I would reccomend to any Shakira fan. Beautiful Beautiful doll and very exotic looking.

Mattel's efforts to bring Shakira into the world of the doll, while it is not the best celebrity likeness I've ever seen in a figural toy, is certainly better than many of the others that have been done for musicians over the years (New Kids on the Block, anyone?). I admit I don't have this particular Shakira doll, but I did purchase the other one with the black "leather" vest and pants. Without purchasing, I wonder one thing with regards to this version of the Shakira doll, which I'm hoping another review might answer at some point. Namely, just what length boots is this one fitted with in her outfit?

First of all, im so glad i got this doll! I've been waiting for Shakira dolls cuz I LOVE Shakira! This doll is really high quality. Mattel captured Shakira's fashions pretty well. She looks even prettier in front of you than she does online. Her guitar has a tab on the back which you take out to play a bit more of the song. Mine came with everything shown in the picture except a belt. Yes, be forewarned that there are variations on these dolls, so yours might be a bit different. In any case, this doll ROCKS!

This dangling marionette bears a strong likeness to thereal-life Chris Kirkpatrick of the hit band 'N Sync, down to his blackwardrobe, his Doc Marten's, spiked hair, and scruffy goatee. Just a tadsmaller than a G.I. Joe action figure, this marionette can dance andsway to any 'N Sync tune you play. Eh
This marionette isn't something that interests more 9-10 year old girls because they want to play with it more like a Ken doll, not Pinocchio. This toy isn't very educational. It is frustrating. The joints are stiff and can be difficult to move. It is extremely durable because after a few days, it gets forgotten about.

Interesting toy idea!
After the 'Bye Bye Bye' video, this marionette is a great thing to have around. You can make the marionette move around and dance like the guys from *NSYNC. It also looks really good in the box or held by the stand on a bookshelf.

Fun Toy; [Crummy] Marionette
Pros: Great conversation starter: watch as people come into your office and ask "why do you have an 'N Sync doll?" You need to get all 5 to maximize the effect, however.

Cons: It doesn't really look like Chris -- is that supposed to be a goatee? Also, it's a pretty [crummy] marionette. The joints are really stiff and it's almost impossible to get it to "do the moves". ... Read more

not really realistic
i feel that hilary duff is a very talented singer,actress,and movie star. she is very pretty and these dolls do not show it. the doll look really nothing like her. althoughh the doll comes with nice outfits and accessories the dool isn't really realistic looking. if you want a celeberty dool that is fun and looks almost the the star check out the Mary-kate and ashley dolls...i would most definitlyrecommend them.
