    Editorial Review

I must confess to a compete lack of objectivity when it comes to the Green Machine. It is hands-down the most fun toy I have ever tried. Basically a re-make of the original Green Machine of decades past, this one has the same lever controlled, rear-wheel steering that allows for crazy hairpin turns, and spectacular spin-outs. Only this time the frame is a bit more sturdy, and the front tire is made of sturdy rubber(the rear tires, alas, are still of old school hollow plastic construction and are destined to wear out far too soon).A few important caveats: though highly maneuverable, this is one set of wheels you will want kids to keep far, far from traffic; cool spinouts also mean uncool wipe-outs, so you should consider having your child wear the same safety gear normally used for rollerblading; and the sometimes iffy brakes need to be carefully adjusted before use.--David Stoesz ... I'm getting one!
My mom wanted one of these so bad when she was a kid. She is 130 lbs I think and even though I have a PW50 when she saw this in the store her eyes lit up..reliving her childhood she says. I get a lot of stuff she wanted...thank goodness she liked cool things as I am a boy. So I am sure when we go down island in two weeks there will be one in the cart and it will be so sweet even though I have to share it with my MOm. Bonding time I guess. Every kid should have a mom that loves cool toys.

Basically a re-tooled Big-Wheel, the Scream Machine has flash, speed, and maneuverability, but with the control and stability younger kids need. It has two fat, plastic rear wheels for maximum skid. The front, though, features a large traction tire that must be inflated. The tire is rubber because of the Scream Machine’s V-type brakes, which are operated from BMX-style, gripped handle bars. These brakes makes it much safer--especially on downhill runs--than bikes with the foot brakes. Leg room is adjusted by slidingthe bucket seat forward or back. The shiny frame, with shocks, is made of high-tensile steel that won’t rust or wear out after the first year. It has to be completely assembled by adults, however. To that end, a detailed instruction book and tools, including a wrench and Allen screwdriver, are included. --Diane Beall ... Read more

    Replacement Parts
We are having a great deal of trouble with Razor. They have an affiliate company who handles shipping and company questions. My son's replacement rear tires are on back order, with no indication on when delivery will take place. I think I'm about ready to take him to Toys R Us to get a "Green Machine", since this company doesn't seem to be bothered with keeping 6 year old children hostage to their apparant problem with inventory.

    A hit in the neighborhood!
Not since the Little Tikes Rocket (which from what I can tell they no loner make- a shame!)has there been a toy that has gripped all of our neighborhood kids. We live on a dead end cul-de-sac that has a slight incline that is perfect to get some speed for this kind of toy and everyone is loving it. I bought this for my 8 & 10 year old boys to give them something to do besides sit in front of Gamecube all spring break. Our neighborhood has had a lot of fancy and expensive "ride on" type toys - some electric. I feel kids have enough sit-on-your-butt-and-do-nothing toys and activities so I have refused (much to their dismay) to but electric ride-ons. However, as I said earlier, when they were younger they had a blue jet made by Little Tikes that had similar features as this kind of ride-on that they out grew a few years ago. The idea of this toy reminded me of that jet so that is why I bought it. I thought it would be a hit with my boys and it was. It is the toy everyone in the neighborhood waits in line to use!

    Fun, fun, fun
Santa brought this one and we had to adjust the seat up to the closest position for a normal 6 year old. It took him 2 days to figure out how to spin it but then what fun. He doesn't use the brake though. Easy to put together. Tubeless tire so it was a little difficult to inflate. Lots of play value left in this one for years to come.

    need to readjust age range
We purchased the razor scream machine for christmas. We adjusted the seat to the closest hole and my 5 year old son still can't reach. He is the same size as most of the other children in his age group. I know he'd love it if he could reach. So I have been trying to locate the scream machine jr.. He just turned 5, so maybe in a few months he'll beable to reach. We were all disappointed he couldn't ride it.

    Pinches Fingers
We bought this toy for our 5 year old son. He is very tall so the seat is perfect at the furthest setting. The 2 problems that we have had are 1) the back wheels are already torn up after only riding around the block on sidewalks twice and 2) He has already twice turned around to tell me something and ran over his hand with the back wheel which left pretty big cuts on his fingers. He loves riding this but it is one problem that deserves mention. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

With two different configurations to choose from, the All Terrain Switchboard offers young riders more versatility than your typical scooter or skateboard. The Switchboard is shaped like an oversize skateboard with abuilt-in handle that can either be popped up or locked down. With the easy-grip handle in the up position the switchboard is a scooter for beginners; fold and lock the handle down and it's an off-road skateboard. The board itself is made of wood, with nonskid treads for extra traction, an extra-wide wheel base(14 inches wide), and rugged off-road wheels. The Switchboard is definitely on the heavy side and may be a little too cumbersome for younger kids, but it trades the extra weight for stability and durability. --Chris Burns ... Read more

I guess it's okay for _very_ young children...
I bought this product for my daughter for Xmas two years ago. It hasn't got much use because it is difficult to steer on a narrow sidewalk. Even so, the wheels have become very loose on their plastic trucks, and I can't find a way to adjust them! If you're looking for a scooter, skip this and buy another type of scooter. If you're looking for something to train a young child to ride a skateboard, this may be for you. I'd recommend this off-road model as opposed to the one with the regluar skateboard wheels - the off-road wheels can take more abuse and they can handle riding on grass and bumps. Because of its limited speed and steering, I wouldn't recommend this for a child older than 4. Older kids will struggle to keep up with their friends riding regular scooters if they're riding a Switchboard!

    looking
Thanks to all who wrote in. There were too many "accidents" to be ignored. The wide wheel base and the handle with a locking problem. It is always my luck to buy something and all the things mentioned that could go wrong - DO.

Thank you again for the reviews. I will keep looking.

This is the worst toy ever!
It looks fun in the picture, but there is a major design flaw with this toy - the wheels stick out so far that when the rider tries to go they end up slamming their ankle into the tire. Within 2 minutes of using this toy my son ripped open his ankle. This toy should be recalled. Do not buy it. I would send mine back, but we had already thrown out the packaging.

    Great "First" Skateboard!
I bought my son this skateboard when he was 2 1/2. I'm now shopping for a regular skateboard for him. He has used this toy for a year and a half now. It has survived some pretty tough play and a few bumps by the cars. My son loves this toy and it's usually the first driveway toy he goes for. He also uses this year round, which says a lot for New England. I highly recommend getting this board for a child who wants to do what the big kids do, but dosn't quite have the ability. This board taught my son how to balance and now he is ready for a regular board. I also would like to add that the mechanism for raising and lowering the handle is pretty simple and easy, but it really has to be done by an adult.

    Nice Birthday Present
I purchased this for my 5-year-old boy's birthday. His eyes lit up when he saw it! It has great traction, much safer than a skateboard, even when the handle is down. We leave the handle up most of the time and use it as a scooter. The only problem we've had is when he puts his foot on the ground to scoot along he has to reach his foot out past the wide wheel that gets in his way. This doesn't seem to bother him much, he still loves it! ... Read more

This lightweight but sturdy set of two ramps, with a connecting flat piece, can be easily set up to form your own mini-skate park. It’s not just skateboarding though, the ramps also let you catch air if you’re on rollerblades, a BMX bike, or a scooter. Editorial Review

Designed for the youngest mountain biker in the family or the kid who is a complete daredevil on bicycle, skateboard, or scooter, this Mongoose helmet offers the ultimate protection around the face and head. Resembling the shape of a motorcycle helmet, this bike helmet has an interior liner made of expanded polystyrene foam and an external plastic shell. Foam pads within the helmet provide extra cushioning and sliding buckles help adjust the helmet to the most snug fit possible. A high-performance visor screens out the glare when riding on sunny days, and an integrated chin guard helps protect the face in the event of a forward fall. Six vents on top of the helmet and five in the mouth and face area provide superior ventilation. This bicycle helmet complies with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's standards for riders ages 5 and older. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

    cool riding
this helmet is great when i fell off my electric scooter instead of falling and scraping up my face it protected and i would recomend it to children of all ages and if you have a toddler into everything this this is the helmet for him and it looks very cool

    Mongoose Helmet
It works great with my mini motercycel and is very strong. I still have the same helment after all of my falls.

    Awesome Protection ... Great Value ... \(^u^)/
My step-son has the Mongoose BMX Full Face Helmet and it has an awesome stylish design of a angry Mongoose and the helmet does what is it suppose to do protect your head. It's universal use is awesome. My step-son has used this when I bought him his first dirt bike and currently using it while riding his pocket bike. And the first review is right ... you look cool wearing this than the regular bicycle helmet. He looks like a motorcycle rider who accidentally shrunk his motorcycle in the wash. LOL It's cute and gives him the full protection than the just half a regular helmet would give you. I recommend it for parents who are looking for secure protection from falls and accidents.

    good helmet
good looking. if you are wearing this you dont look like a dork which you probably would look like with a regular helmet.

    Great helmet
This helmet is great - very lightweight, yet more protection than my child's old helmet. A great piece of protective gear at a good price. An added benefit is the cool look. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow this thing Rocks!!!
I bought This ramp about a month ago. It has been really fun to jump off, of or do tricks with a bike, skateboard, or rollerblades. My friends and myself who have gone off this ramp have discovered(well not discovered but you know what I meen)that it is very easy to fall or slip on this ramp and that really hurts. So I reccomened you wear something to help break your fall if you do fall or just be careful.
Now lets talk about the BAD things about this ramp. First of all the grips slip and break VERY easily so you end up having to put screwdrivers or some medal pole to keep it from slipping. It gets scratches on it very easily too.
But the ramp is still very fun what product dosent have a few misshaps.
I urge you to buy this ramp its a very good ramp one of the best I've seen.

    Nice Ramp
I think this ramp is sweet. It's true that after about a couple months the bottom grip wares off. What I do is put a towel under it and it wont slide. You can also try a cinder block. Its good for beginner's and pro's. If you are a biker you can get long distances. My record is 9ft with a bike! It is also good for rollerbladers who are beginners. What you have to be good at is skateboarding. It took me about 6 months to ollie off of it. It's awesome if you can do that. Or you can just roll of the end. I would reccomend this ramp to anyone who wants to learn to get big air on blades, bikes, or boards. Its a great ramp.

    A good ramp
This is not a bad ramp if your looking for something to play around with. I got mine when I was 8 or 9 and the sticky stuff on the bottom has worn off, so now I'v got put a brick in front of it to keep it from moving.

    great buy!!!
this ramp is the best!ive had it for about 3 years and i learned about 100 tricks on this thing and prefected them.
it's really durable but if you have a paved street it sometimes
does slide but only about a 3 in. slide and thats if you get caught under the ramp.this is great buy for everyone!!!!

Get this toy for your son
This is the best ramp i ever rode. the not so great thing is
that it's undernethe grip don't last to long and i had to buy another grip.So I reccomend to get a spare grip ... Read more
