My son loves these!
We bought these action figures for our 3-1/2 year old son two weeks ago, and since then he hasn't let them out of his sight! They will stand on their own with a little work, but depending on how old your child is, he or she may not care. These are especially good for young Scooby fans, as they have no small parts to lose and seem to be quite sturdy. Considering the amount of fun our son has gotten out of these, they are an excellent value for the price.

Fun with some problems
I got this set the other day and here is what i noticed. the box is very collector friendly it is square with a mystery machine graphic across it with a window in the center. There are no twist ties inside and everything can fit back in well. on the yellow cardboard behind the plastic holding the figures in there are bios of each character with last names addresses and ages (all but shaggy are 16, he's 17 and scooby's 7). The figures are well sculpted and niceyly articulated but there is one glaring problem, the feet on these figures are not made for standing. they are not flat on the bottom (except scooby's). While some figures can be balanced in a standing position with some effort, others it is almost impossible (ironically fred and daphne). This is AWESOME!
First off, you have GOT to get this if you are a Muppet fan! Secondly, if you get this, you have GOT to get the Captain Hogthrob and Dr. Strangepork figures! Believe me, you have to. After I bought this set I simply had to get the other two figures, and now it looks glorious! It doesn't look right without them, and to be honest, the Pigs In Space figures don't make sense without this set! And what a set! The doors have spring action so they can do that "Whoosh" thing, there are plenty of scientific looking machine parts to deck the place out in, you get different images to slide into the viewscreen, the levers are poseable, it's just awesome! And did I mention, it comes with First Mate Piggy?!!! An excellent figure on her own! This set and its bonus figure are just amazing in detail and accuracy, as is the entire Palisades Muppet line! This is what you call a playset?
I am 12 years old and i love Van Helsing but some of your figures and this playset are nothing but junk!This castel along with the Wolfman figure are made from cheap,junky rubber and plastic! There is nothing fun about this "playset"! There are no places to play with the figures, only this one room. Why can't there be chambers and other towers to go into not just this one lousy room? I bought this thing and the roof broke the day that i got it!! And the smaller playsets with figures(Van helsing with grappling hook playset& Frankenstine with light up tower) Don't even stay in place.The light up tower dose not even fit were it's to go!!!!I think that Jakks Pacific Inc. should make a new castel with tower to go into,atleast two or more rooms, amd secret camders or some thig, SOMTHING NEW and FUN to play with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They call THIS a playset?!?!?!?
This so-called Castle is nothing more than a PLASTIC BACKDROP only. It has absolutely NO play features. What this means is that you have to spend another $40-$50 to purchase ALL of the Van Helsing Deluxe action figures that have the playset accessories (Dracula's Coffin, Frankenstein's Electricity Tower, Van Helsing's Catapult and Winch and Velkan's Table) to connect them to this utterly useless piece of plastic they call a playset. Take me back to the good-old-days when a Playset was something truly spectacular and fun like the 6 foot behemouth G.I. Joe Aircraft Carrier, He-Man's Castle Grayskull, Batman's Batcave or the Star Wars Death Star playset with multiple levels of play environments and features like working elevators, trap doors, trash compactors, gun turrets, detention cells, and breakaway bridges that provided kids with countless hours of imaginary fun and entertainment. It is sad that toy companies today would rather market their toys to force parents to purchase all of their products just to make their kids happy. Unless you plan to spoil your kids by purchasing all of the deluxe Van Helsing figures and features just to make this playset enjoyable, don't bother buying them this cheap plastic junk. ... A great toy for kids 4 and up!!
I read so many review from parents who bought this toy for kids under 4 years old. The toy clearly states it is for kids 4 and up!!! We bought this for my son for Christmas when he was 3 1/2 years old. He loved it, but had a hard time putting the pieces together. We helped him a lot, but he still really enjoyed it. Now that he is 4, he plays with it all of the time and can easily put the pieces together with a very little, if any, help. We have several of the add-on pieces, as well as the pirate ship and boat rescue set. He plays with them all and uses his imagination to put pieces from the different sets together. We plan on getting more sets/pieces this Christmas. It is a great toy!!! I really rely on other parents reviews on products before I purchase toys, especially the expensive toys, but when parents write bad reviews because they bought a toy that was obviously not intended for a child too young for it, it really bugs me.

Mom of 4 Yr Boy
My son loves this toy. He has had it for 6 months now and plays with it all the time. He loves to role play as the construction workers. I do agree that there are a lot of small pieces so I would not recommend it for a child under 3 (Neither does the manufacturer). We have not had problems with the pieces staying together as long as we play with it on a hard surface. It did not work very well on carpet.

What a mess!
My 2 year old son saw this toy in a catalog at Christmas time. He loves trucks and all kinds of construction equipment, so we thought it would be perfect. What a terrible mess! It will NOT stay together and has way too many small pieces! I just threw all of it in the trash except for the dump truck that came with it. I do NOT recommend!

My son loves this toy.
My son loves this line of toys.He is 5 and very into police , fire and rescue play.He has saved the boxes. He likes to look at the pictures to guide him in his building. He sometimes needs help from Mom!I am very happy with the quality of these sets.

the reson i had to give it 5 stars for every thing because, if you didnt have one you would have to battle in a tin,jar,box but the coolest thing you are not aloud to battle on would be the floor,with the rc tops.(remote control beyblades)

a good stadium
i got this stadium about 2 weeks ago and i love it. i wouldnt go so far to say its huge but its good for about 3 ppl 2 fight in. My only complaint other than the cheap material and price is the stupid little circle shaped notch that sticks up in the middle. it makes it so u cant truly time you blade cuz every time it goes over the notch it slow down. Other than that i think its a good thing to buy . One more thing, the guy who said your blade never hits the walls is a loser. mine hits the walls all the time.

this is a realy great stadium
This is a realy cool beystadium.It is just as big as the black vortex stadium.It is flat and great for attack types your blade will never hit the sides.Trust me, I am a expert blader and the leader of the cyclones team.So if anybody wants to challenge me and lives in dallas, GA.Give me an e-mail whith a subject so I know hwo you are,OK.See Ya!!!!!!!

DO NOT BUY!
There are several serious problems with this toy: The most important is that the Scooby and Shaggy FIGURES DO NOT FIT inside the toy.Even for an adult it is extremely difficult to place the figures inside the "driving compartment" and when placed there, they will not sit properly. The compartment is too little, the doors do not open fully, and the "steering wheel" is not positioned properly.
The second issue is the POOR QUALITY: the doors fell out when an adult tried to place the figures inside the toy, it was difficult to open the "main compartment", and the plastic was not nicely finished (rough edges).
Overall, only the rambling sound worked as expected (it was too loud, though).

This highly anticipated birthday gift was returned to the store by my 6-year old child, who said, crying: "Daddy, don't buy toys like this.I want to play with the Gang and even Scooby won't fit."

Keep away from this toy! Kids will be frustrated and throw it away instead of enjoying.

5 year old loves it- but needs to be redesigned in my opin
5/04...My five year old daughter loves Scooby Doo anything - so this was an instant hit - however, the doors of this van constantly fall off (since they only open 1/2 way) and she can't open the rear compartment herself. The doors have to be reinserted by an adult.It seems to me this toy should be re-designed to make it easier for a child to open and play with.This could be a really "groovy" toy if it had more feature to inspire creative play...maybe make it like a camper inside...right now, it's empty like a moving van. Shaggy is almost too big to fit in the driver's seat. (...)

Disappointing
My 5 yr old grandson bought this with some birthday money. When we got home and took it out of the package, there was only a Scooby and Shaggy figure.The figures are too big to fit correctly in the front of the van even with bendable legs.The doors don't open enough and when you try to get the figures inside the doors come off.Then an adult has to put them back on. My grandson likes the toy because he loves Scooby Doo but quickly gets frustrated when he can't get the figures inside and the doors come off!Toys should be tested by kids before they go to market!!!

my 2yr old son loves it
My 9 yr old got this for x-mas & quickly forgot all about it. My 2 yr old son LOVES it. He plays w it daily for last year or so & we bought a 2nd one b/c he loves it so much. It opens from the top & the doors on the front & back open-which he likes. My main criticism (& why I rate it a 3 on durability) is the front & rear doors fall off easily & are difficult even for my 4 yr old to put back on. Long live imagination!
My 6 year old son got the whole castle set for Christmas last year. He loves this set. He can spend hours making up different scenarios for these little guys. It is great that they all fit together. Since he has several different sets, he can interchange parts. He can make several different locations or one big castle. We will be moving on to the other sections of Imaginext toys soon.

There are a lot of small pieces that sometimes don't get seen nor picked up. If your child is like mine, you might be stepping on a few of these in the dark on your way to the bath room. It is also somewhat difficult for my son to construct on his own. I do frequently change the layout of his castles. And while I love playing with my son, I would also like for him to be able to manage this on his own.

Good Castle Play
My 4 year old son really enjoys the flexibility of this set. Though I have to help him change it around because it is still a bit difficult for him to put together. It gets a lot more play time than the traditional castle set he received shortly before this one.

These are fun toys, but your prices are way too high. I found a better selection and much better prices at [other retailers]. You need to be a bit more competitive.

Very cool!
I bought the castle set for my oldest son for his birthday, and he loved it so much, he wanted more pieces for Christmas. It's a little tricky to put together unless you follow the directions and build from the bottom up. It can come back apart with rough play, but there are clips to hold the pieces together at the bottom, where they're most likely to come apart. All the pieces are interchangable, so you can configure the castle and tower any way you want -- make them all one piece, or keep them seperate, etc... My two sons, ages 4 and 6 really love playing with these. We have everything in the set except the Goblin's Dungeon, which we plan to get next. I hope they keep making pieces to go with the castle series!

Can't get enough
My 4 year old can not get enough of any of the Imaginext Castle series. He is obsessed. He had lots of accessories before he got the wizards tower and plays for hours. The buildings really seem to expand his imagination. He flipped on New years day they updated the website and added a whole new line of extras. He askes everyday if it is his birthday yet because I told him he can't get anymore till then! ... Read more
