Four hippos try to eat as many marbles as they can--as fast as they can. This game is fast-paced and riotous for kids who get to take turns popping a white marble into the ring, then furiously pressing on their hippo's levered tail to catch the prize. As if that's not enough, in the advanced game, all 20 marbles are released at the same time. Utter mayhem ensues, and whoever snares the most marbles wins. If only it would get kids to clean their plates as well as those pudgy hippos do! --Lynne Sampson ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Gobble them up! Noisy and Fun!
There's something deeply satisfying about this game: Is it the allure of pounding a hippo's tail as fast as you can so that your hippo will eat more balls than its opposing hippos? I leave that to the psychologists...

This games provides a great release for toddlers and adults. Because of the intensity and noisy pounding, you may want to limit your own play to about ½ hour. Educational value? Well, the game helps with hand-eye coordination, learning how to be a good sport, and simple counting. But basically it's just a good way to get in touch with your inner hippo--let the pounding begin!

VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MOST DEFINATLY NOT THE GAME I GREW UP WITH!!!! THIS VERSION OF HUNGRY HIPPOS IS TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTING!!!! DON'T BUY IT!!! IT WILL NOT STAY TOGETHER FOR EVEN A FEW MINUTES OF PLAY!! THE "MARBLES" ARE CHEEP HOLLLOW PLASIC BALLS AND THE HIPPOS DISCONNECT FROM THE GAME WITH EVEN HIT. IF THEY AREN'T FALLING OFF THE GAME THEN THEY WILL STICK. WE HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO PLAY A COMPLETE GAME (NOT EVEN PART OF A GAME) WITHOUT GIVING UP IN FRUSTRATION. (...)

Very dissapointed
My son received this gift for Christmas two years ago. I was very excited as I remember playing this game as a child. I was soooo disappointed!! It is definitely NOT the sturdy game I remember from my childhood days. The hippos tend to get stuck w/the handles down. For the adults...not a problem...but very frustrating for little ones. And the "marbles" don't roll around very well. Overall...not a good buy in my opinion.

Piece of Junk
I bought this game for my 5 year old son, because I remebered how much fun I had playing it when I was 5. This is not the same game that I remebered, the marbles are cheap plastic things that aren't even completely round and the whole game would fall apart after just a few seconds of play. We tried 5 or 6 times to get it to stay together, we even tried taping it. Nothing worked, it was in the garbage after just 1 day of use. Do not buy this game!

great game
the object of this game is that there is 4 or 5 hippoes and a lot of little white balls your hippoe has to eat the most of the white balls (more than your opponent). when there are no more balls that your hippoe can eat you count how many balls you have and if you have more than eveyone else, you win. im a teenager and i still like to play this. it gets your anger out.so don't listen to the age limt. ... Loaded with fun!
This is the best game we have ever found and the only one our family can totally agree on playing! With no right or wrong answers, we just get to know each other better as we play the game. Terrific!

loaded questions is cool
Loaded questions is a really fun game. The only time it's not fun is when some people lie in it. I think it's more fun with the more people you have playing, especially with family members. Overall I think that Loaded Questions is one of the funniest games ever made.

Great get-to-know-you game.
This is a great game for getting to know how others think and what they like.

Game Night Star!!!
I just recently got a hold of one of these games and took it to our church's game night. The game was the hit of the whole night. People left and right were asking me where I got it from. They told me it was "so fun".

I don't know about you, but when your teenage daughters are having fun playing a game--it has to be a great game. It's a great way to get to know people whom you don't know all that well and still have a great time.

Buy it, try it, and have lots of fun.

yum
more of a free form game, but with a board; good insights into others through uncommon questions and situations; thought you knew even your closest family members...this reveals sides you didn't even know were there and confirms other fun facts, a getting to know you game; that is if people play sincerely instead of just to win. ... Editorial Review

Fans of the board game Risk will find this Lord of the Rings edition--the Middle-earth version--thoroughly familiar. But there are all sorts of new opportunities and dangers here in the form of wizards, Orcs, cave trolls, and the One True Ring--the latter a gold-colored pewter replica. The four colored armies of plastic game pieces are rather small and cheaply produced, but the 20-by-20-inch game board and 40 adventure cards have a higher-quality feel and are beautifully designed. The game proceeds on the roll of two red and three black dice, and the object, of course, is control of Middle-earth. Recommended for two to four Hobbits; second breakfast not included. If you like Risk you¿ll love LOTR Risk
Game board:
The game board is a four fold design rather than a two fold design like the standard risk board. This makes the board seem less durable than the standard risk board.

The Map:
At first I was a little disappointed with the map, It does not show Gondor or Mordor, and I thought there could have been a little more detail put into some locations. The reasoning for not including Gondor or Mordor is that the manual states the game is based on the first two books of the trilogy. After playing several games on the board I have grown to like the map more and more. The balance of the continents seems to be pretty well thought out. Although Rhun can sometimes be held very easily by evil. Rhun is kind of the Austrailia of LOTR Risk, it isn't worth much bonus, but it is easy to hold. The rest of the continents are balanced well, mostly being hard to gain a bonus from them, especially when you have experienced risk players. Overall I'm very pleased by the map, but it could have been a little better with a few small changes.

Leaders:
Leaders and Strongholds can make a very big difference in the outcome of the game. You get to place a leader unit, represented by a shield, at the beginning of the game; you can also get leaders by drawing an "Appoint a Second Leader" Adventure card. What leaders do is travel along with your armies and give a +1 attack or +1 defense bonus to your single highest dice roll. So if you rolled a 5, 4, 1 you then have a 6, 4, 1. As you can imagine having a leader with you in the battle will greatly help your chances of winning. Your leader does not count as an army, it is just there to modify the dice.

Strongholds:
Fortresses such as Helm's deep and Isengard provide your units with a +1 to defense (there is no attack bonus for being in a stronghold). This bonus makes holding strongholds easier and can in the case of Moria, be used as a very strong choke point. When you have a leader at a stronghold the effects stack so you have +1 to attack and +2 to defense. So for example if you were attacked with 6, 4, 2 and you had 4, 4. You would have 6, 4 so you would kill two of your enemies armies instead of one each.

Cards:
There are two major types of cards, Territory cards and Adventure cards.
Territory cards are just like in Risk, except some territories always belong to evil and some territories always belong to good, so you can't start with Orcs in the Shire.

There are three types of adventure cards,

Mission Cards
Event Cards
Power Cards
Mission cards give you some kind of mission (hence the name), an example mission is, Bree, if your leader moves into or conquers Bree, you then get a reward, in this case if you are good you get 2 extra armies anywhere in Arnor, if you are Evil you get 6 extra armies anywhere in Arnor.
Event Cards, when you draw one of these cards you play it immediately, an example is 'The Entmoot' If Fangorn is controlled by good that player gets two extra armies, If it is controlled by evil they lose to armies there.
Power cards, are cards that you can play when you want and they can help you significantly for example 'Courage Alone will not save you' Play in response to an enemy attack on one of your territories, Gain 4 extra armies in the territory being attacked. Some Power cards are also used to slow the movement of the fellowship.

The Fellowship, represented by the One Ring is moved at the end of each players turn, it has to move through 15 territories and once that is complete and they arrive at Mordor the game is over, however there are some places where the Fellowship is tied up for a while. In Moria, LothLorien, and Mordor you must roll a die, and it must be a 4,5,or 6 for the fellowship to move on. Some Power cards can slow the movement of the ring, such as the Gollum or Balrog cards. These cards can be used to extend the gameplay. Whoever goes last can have a big advantage since they will be the last to takeover territories from other players and complete missions.
When the game is over, you count up your points. You get 1 point per territory, + points for continent bonus if you hold one. +2 points per stronghold that you own, +points gained by completing missions or playing power cards.

2 player game
The two player game works by having good, evil, and neutral armies, the neutral "player" only defends, does not get reinforcements, and is placed on the neutral territories, the good player gets the good territories and the evil player vice versa. The 2 player game does work well and can be fun, but it seems a little too weighted toward evil, the evil player starts out with territories that are more connected, and with a little easier access to conquering the continent of Rhun right away.

3 & 4 player game
With three or four players this game really shines, it is an absolute blast, it has all the fun and strategy of regular risk but many new twists and tactics to consider.

Pros:
A lot of Fun
It's Risk in Middle Earth
Adds news strategies that will keep it interesting for a long time
Works with as little as 2 players
The game seems pretty well balanced for the most part

Cons:
The map could be improved
The two player game seems to favor evil

3-0 out of 5 stars Good, but could be better
This version of Risk is as good as the original. That is why I only gave it a three. The creators of this game had great idea, but kept the game too much like the old, even with the additional rules. I liked risk, but I expected more from this version.

3-0 out of 5 stars Why?
Why doesn't Amazon read these posts and order the TRILOGY edition?!?! Furthermore, why is THIS product still being sold when there's a much better one for the same price and made by the same company?!? Don't waste your money on this game, go out and buy the full trilogy version (...)

3-0 out of 5 stars Great game
This was a really fun game if you are a LOTR and Risk lover. It's cool because there are other parts of Middle-Earth in the game. The only reason I gave this game 4 stars for durability is because some of the pieces can break, like we've had an Orc lose it's head. But this rarely ever happens, so it is a very good game, and the board is excellent.

3-0 out of 5 stars Trilogy Edition
I found this version of Risk to be much more enjoyable than the original version. I have never been much of a Risk fan, mostly because of the degree of strategy that is involved, but mostly because of the emmense amount of time that is required to play (sometimes taking days for my brother and I to finish a game). The LOTR has added a twist to this classic game, though, by adding in the "one ring". This makes game play shorter, since the game can end when the ring reaches Mt. Doom, or if an evil player "finds" the one ring (optional rule). However, the new game rules are optional. Purists to Risks and fans of LOTR can still play until one player conquers Middle Earth.

As I said, I'm not much of a Risk fan, but I definitely enjoy this version of the game much more. My wife and I play once a week! And we'll have friends or family over to play as well. ... Read more

Thoughts of a LaserTag-Player
I love playing laser-tag myself. I go to lazer-zone where they pump mist into the room, I've played Lazer Storm, but when my Navy uncle bought this for me for my birthday, I was more than pleased. The reason I rated the fun factor at a 4 is probably because the places where you pay $20 to play for an hour are obviously more fun than this, and you may think that this Laser Challenge set lacked on more than a few things, but it's black-forest sophistication from here on in. When I first looked at it, I saw that it came in an eye-catching box that was true to the Laser Challenge roots, and when I finally opened the box and held the gun, I could tell that it lived up to the Laser Challenge name. I was impressed by accuracy, but, of course, no infrared beam is completely accurate. A way to make it more accurate is to polish the lens, since when light refracts off of a double-convex lens it gets distorted, and polishing it and keeping it clean will keep the light from being distorted. When I brought my guns home, I seemed to have no problems with registering hits, though there was a lag in the sound-to-trigger action. I completely covered the gun in camouflague duct-tape so both of my guns are camo, as well as the vests. If your going to do this, make sure not to cover the clear plastic sheild on the vest, or the little LED light on the top of the receiver, or the lens on the gun. I've also found that it does not work well with the Laser Challenge training bot that I got at KB Toys. The only thing that the training bot responds to, is the reset button, but the trigger and blast sheild it ignores, since it shoots back at you. I recently went back out and bought 2 more Laser Challenge Radar Extreme sets, and they have had no problems, and they are covered in camo duct-tape as well. The batteries last long without having to be replaced, and the guns are well-made out of hard plastic. Me and friends play 3 on 3 Laser Challenge matches in my basement, since I bought a bunch of those paintball obstacles and barricades that you bllow up with air. On an average day, we'll go through a 12-pack of coke, and about 2 good albums, while playing Laser Challenge and skateboarding. Thank you for listening, and if you didn't, you should've. Goodbye.

VERY FUN AND DURABLE!
This is currently the best laser challenge gun available. It has really cool features like Max Blast and Shield. These guns are best used when you have larger teams, as with all guns. So I would recommend these as well as a couple cheaper sets to use with friends. I'm sure you will have fun if you buy this. THESE ARE THE BEST!

Laser Challenge Rocks !!! :-)
This Toy really rocks. First of im 12 a little old ya think? No! not at all the vest fits all. Plus you can be 350 feet away from eachother (a football field) and still hit (great for snipers). Okay now for pros and cons.

PROS
1.350 foot range!
2.Different firing options!
3.Great all ages vest fits all
4.Max blast and shield!
CONS
1.Theres not enough hours in a day to play this!
2.No back target.

What A toy!!!!!!!!!
This is the best Laser challenge toy I have Ever, I mean Ever, used!!!! This toy is fun for all ages I play with my brother (and he's only 2!) And we have a blast! the range is aswome 350 feet wow! And the special features are awsome! the max blast is useful for sniping and the blast shield is good to get the hec out of there. It is totally durable too, my bed is abot,oh, 3-4 feet of the ground and I way 105
I rolled of my of my bed (I had a running start, I was shooting at my brother) I went of the bed all 150lbs. of and the gun went first. a drop the gun and crashed into it, and it looked like it was untouched and also worked like nothing happened. I marked it for education because it took us an hour of playing with it (having tons of fun!) to really start to become experts.
Now for some Pros & Cons

Pros

1.350 foot range
2. Max blast and blast shield
3.totally durable
4.fun for all ages!
5.chest back fits anyone

Cons

1.ten AA baterries
2.Only front pack

Well the only front pack is a problem but in all this is the best toy ever and I totally recamend it!

Fun
I went to toys r us to look for a LOTR bow, i was disapointed to not find one, but i was happy again once i found this. i wanted a laser tag set for along time. True, it does only have a front receiver, which is why i like to still go laser tagging at commercial areas, but its fun between trips to the laser tag place. I don't think its harmful to eyes, because i wear glasses anyways so i don't know. My brother and I also play other games where you shoot toy guns, but in those you can loose amunition. you can't in this. Holding down the trigger does fire multiple shots. Shoot one shot and it will have firing noises that sound like alot, atleast, mine does, and i haven't figured out how to fix it to shoot only 1 shot sound, but the light only lights up once to tell you you've shot when you pull the trigger once, so it should work. I reccamend this toy. I bought mine for $25-30 or so, i don't remember exactly, but it seems like its a pretty cheap toy for alot of fun!

It's "the game that ties you up in knots"! Twister has beenaround forever, and it's still as much fun as you remember. The gamebox contains a spinner, a plastic mat marked with colored circles, andthe rules, which are brief. You don't need anything else except a groupof friends. A referee spins the spinner to come up with a color andwhether a hand or a foot is to be placed in a circle of that color. It's easy at first, but after four or five spins you'll be more tangledthan a plate of spaghetti. If you fall, or if any part of you except ahand or a foot touches the mat, you're out, and the last player left isthe winner. 5-0 out of 5 stars How Fun Twister Is
This game is fun for the whole family. It can teach you to take turns spinning the wheel learning colors and your body parts and even HELP YOU TELL YOUR LEFT AND RIGHT! I loved this game it was especially fun when everyone gets all mixed up and when one person falls EVERYONE comes tumbling down.

Go Milton
This is a really fun game but I've hardley played it. I guess it's because we haven't had any kids come over(yet). 3 stars for education value because it teaches motor skills.

This game gets you twisted up!
This game is so much fun! You can hardly ever stay up when you get twisted. This game is also good to play before you work out because you can stretch with it.

Love Twister
This game is so much fun. It was around when I was a little girl and now my 6 year old has it. You can spend many hours playing this game and it is so much fun. It is so much fun for the whole family.

twister
Twister is really fun. It is also easy to learn . You need aabout five people to make it fun. Somebody spins the spinner and sees what it lands on. For example, if it lands on right hand blue everyone has to put their right hand on blue. If you fall down your out. The game goes on until every body except one person is out. They win.
Me and my friends play it often. We really like it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Hubby Loves It!
The only disappointment with this set is that the pieces are plastic. When we picked up the box it was quite heavy so we hoped the pieces were some sort of metal. Alas. However, they are not flimsy. Some of the weapons were a bit curved out of the box but they straightened out with a little TLC. Don't even think about getting them back into the box once you've taken them out unless you wrote down where each piece came from. The board is nothing special, just cardboard, and is a little small for the size of the pieces. If you plan on playing the game I'd suggest getting a larger board. Otherwise, it's great for display purposes. This is the nicest Star Wars chess set we've seen. Buy it, you'll love it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Star Wars Saga Chess
For those who may be interested, here is a listing of which pieces are included in this new chess set.For the silver "good" side, the pawns are Republic Clone Troopers, kneeling and holding a rifle. The two rooks are C3P0/R2D2 (together on one piece), and Padme firing a blaster from Episode II.The knights are Han Solo in Episode IV clothing and Chewbacca with bowcaster, and the bishops are Princess Leia from Episode IV and Luke Skywalker from Episode VI.The queen is a bearded Episode III Obi-Wan, and the king is Yoda flying through the air (resting on a piece of clear plastic) with a lightsaber. On the black "evil" side, the pawns are the Episode IV era stormtroopers, kneeling with rifles. The two rooks are Count Dooku and Darth Maul (holding a double-bladed lightsaber and doing a high kick).Bishops are General Grievous (two of his four arms are holding lightsabers) and a General Grievous bodyguard with staff.Knights are Jango Fett from Episode II flying with jet pack and firing double pistols, and Boba Fett from Episode VI, presumably firing his wrist cable. The queen is Darth Vader with lightsaber, and the king is Emperor Palpatine with hands poised for sith lightning ala Episode VI.All pieces are made from molded plastic, and weapons will most likely be deformed and wilted when you remove them from the package. If your lightsabers are not all twisted and warped, be surprised and thankful. Also, getting them put back into their proper (unmarked) place in the packaging is like a difficult jigsaw puzzle. In the end, however, this is a nice set and I believe it is worth the price. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Fun for the entire family!
We bought this for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas and everyone enjoyed it! I was amazed how well she did moving through the easy to more advanced levels. Her enthusiasm was contagious and everyone began trying to do the puzzles. My daughter felt a strong sense of accomplishment when she actually did better than many of the adults! It is a durable, compact, challenging puzzle that is so enjoyable that you will get hooked! In fact, I am looking for additional cards to continue the fun!
This is definitely a 5 star game that has educational value and is also appealing to kids.

A game help children learn to use their minds!
I bought this game for my 5 yr old. She loves it and is challenged by the game. Even some of her older cousins enjoyed playing with it over the holidays.

great toy
We bought this toy for our 3.5 year old son, because he really loved it when he saw it in the store. He's been at it all the time after he got it and needed only minimal instructions to start playing. We really appreciated the fact that the difficulty levels were so appropriately designed. My son simply moved from one level to another with great enthusiasm and would never quit playing the game on his own.

Fun & Educational
I've never played Rush Hour, but the Junior version was a big hit with my 5 and 8 year old kids (and me!) this Christmas. It has 4 levels of difficulty: beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert, with 10 cards in each level. You pick a card and set up the grid with vehicles as depicted on the card. The object is to get your ice cream truck through the traffic and exit the grid.

The rules are: no moving cars sideways. You have to move them forward or backward based on the direction the vehicles are facing. The beginner cards typically require each vehicle be moved only once before you are able to get the ice cream truck through the traffic. With the advanced cards, you may have to move vehicles a few times as you strategically plan your escape.

This game is not only fun, but helps with organization (setting up the grid) and planning (figuring out how to get your ice cream truck out of a jam). It also gives the kids a sense of accomplishment as they move on to the more difficult cards.

I highly recommend it and we plan on buying the adult version soon!

Great whole family fun!
After reading about Rush Hour, Jr. on this website, I decided to get it for my sons, age 7 and 4. They are both a year older now, and still enjoy it. My oldest is now ready for the "adult" version but the more difficult puzzles of the Jr. game still provide some challenge. An unexpected benefit from this "game" is that my sons love to watch each other play and offer encouragement and sometimes advice, and neither gets discouraged when he gets stuck--how great is it to see that?

It also travels really well, we take it in the car for our frequent long trips and take it on the boat to play during snack time.

Parents--I definitely recommend both Rush Hour versions and the booster cards. ... Read more

Who confronted Ivana Trump with: Do you love your husband? Because I do? What sitcom star popularized the Rachel haircut? Who led the 1995 Million Man March on Washington? Capture the scandals and successes of the 1990s in this tin-box time capsule! Okay, you know the routine. Trivial Pursuit's immense popularity is due in part to its rehashing of bizarre, poignant, funny, and sometimes, well, trivial details of life on Planet Earth. The 1990s Edition continues the tradition, allowing two to four adult players (or teams) to pose questions to one another in six categories, including the new Oops (mistakes and mishaps),Wired (technology, gadgets, and the Internet), and Hangin' (what people did in their leisure time) categories. Just bought it...
My boyfriend and I saw this at toys r us and decided to buy it. We thought it would be a lot easier than the other Trivial Pursuit games because we both were alive through the 90's!! It turns out that it is easier, but the questions from the early 90's are still kind of hard. It's still fun though, we collected the pie pieces a lot faster without "cheating" by taking a piece no matter what square you land on. ... Read more

Endless fun !!!
One word really describes this toy, "WOW"!!! I think I have a future pro bowler on my hands. I had a general idea that my four year old would like it but he loves it!

The great thing about this set is that it's not just a bowling set, the bowling pins can also be turned into "musical toys", counting devices, or you could set them up as "cones" and have your child weave in and out of them with their bike or skip around them to improve their motor skills.

I wish I would have bought this sooner but being a stay at home mom we have to pick and choose our toys. This was a great value and many thanks to Amazon for having speedy shipping! It came a day earlier than expected which was a delightful surprise. We will order more things from this site. They keep you updated on your order and so far I've had the best online shopping experience with them verses other online shopping sites.

If you are trying to decide between this toy and another, I'd pick this one hands down. I hope this has helped any future buyers.

Great Fun
My son received this bowling set for Christmas (just turned 1). He enjoys it.

It's a bowling set and the Little Tikes brand - so you would expect it to be durable - and it is!

What I have found with other less-expensive bowling sets I've seen is that the plastic is too lightweight that they barely stand up on their own before you have a chance to actually knock them down with the bowling ball.

The skittles in this set doesn't have that problem. They are sturdy enough to stand properly until they are knocked over by the ball or a children's hand. The added fun is the noise they make when they fall down - each skittle has 3 small balls inside producing a great clanking sound.

The added fun of this is that my son picks two skittles up and bangs them together or just shakes them and makes music.

The bowling ball is lightweight for children but heavy enough that it's going to go where you roll it and not be pushed around by any breeze (if you are outside). There are small finger indents so you can teach your child how to "bowl" when they are ready to do so.

A great inexpensive set for your little one.

Great Fun
My son is only 1 year old and he already loves these. I set them up and he knocks them down. He doesn't always use the ball to knock them down, but he does knock them down! We received them for a gift and I put them up because I didn't think he was ready for them yet. My husband opened them when I wasn't home and now they are the first things that my son pulls out of his toy box every morning. I highly recommend them.

We love Little Tikes
And we love this toy great for indoors or out . All my children love to play and take turns seeing who gets the most . Great for cold or rainy days . ... Read more

This microcosm of Neopets is a portable world for your pocket. Meridell, the land of heroes and legends that was long hidden within Neopia has now been uncovered and is delightfully rendered here in miniature. The pocket Neopet world folds up into a small gold colored pod that you can take anywhere. Open up the case and you can play with your three Neopets: Lupe, Draik, and Lxi. Name them, choose their personalities and preferences, and then proceed to play with, feed, and generally care for them. The sensors in the electronic ports they sit in know which pet you're playing with. There are six games you can play on the small LCD screen with four toggle buttons--they aren't the most engaging games, but winning them scores you points you'll need to buy food and toys for your pet. If you don't give your pet everything it needs, it will run away. Of course, you can always reprogram it to come back to you. There are three little slots to tuck the pets neatly into when you close up the case and hit the road. --Megan Sullivan ... Read more

This game is OK...
This game is very cute, but the instructions that come with the it are not clear. The game can become frustrating after a while. It is also a low-tech game and can have some problems.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awsome toy
This toy is so cool,i couldn't find it in stores so i ordered it online,i have a regular pocket neopet, but this one is cooler.I do not no what those other people are thinking, well duh the graphics are bad, what do u expect for 20 dollars,A flatscreen moniter?I think it works just fine the way the graphics are,and the neopoints aren't hard to get ,it a fun challenge, and that's what teaches you responsibility,so if you don't care about it it will leave you,and if yo have skewl, you can just turn it off, thats a good feature for when you are goin somewhere and you don't want to take it with you,It really makes you think about about the responsibiliy of taking care of a real pet, over all this is a worth it toy if your into neopets.

5-0 out of 5 stars I bet this will be fun...until your pet runs away.
What i have heard is that the pet runs away and has specific times for everything. That is definitly a con. Some people have school ya know!

pros: fun, and teaches responsibility
cons: your pet runs away, has specific times, and neopoints are hard to get.
I recommend the voice activated neopet instead

5-0 out of 5 stars Only mediocre.
I am an avid Neopets fan and when I heard they were coming out with merchedise, I was quite pleased.
This product, however, disapointed me. The screen is too smal to do anything with. THe games are fun, yet the graphics are someof the worst I've ever seen. In the ned, I endd up taking the Neopets (A Lupe, Ixi, and Draik) and playing with them without the set. I would recomend a voice activated pet, rather then this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun1
This toy right here was sooo kewl and fun! It teaches you how to take care of pets very good. You can play fun games to earn money and such to buy food, toys, and petpets. I would recommend this to any kid who is 8 and up and is hooked on neopets ... Read more

The rules are brutal, but the rewards are worth it in this card game that works a bit like Scrabble. Although there is a solitary version of the game for one player, you can play with up to eight. Cards containing letters of the alphabet and special combinations of letters are dealt in increasing number each time the dealer completes a round. Once you've collected your share, you can discard and pick up a new card with each turn. The object is to turn all the letters in your possession into dictionary-proof words while leaving one stray card as a final discard. You want to be the first to accomplish the goal, of course, but there is a scoring system that makes the play competitive for everyone. One nice element is the cards themselves: the letter design is based on beautiful artwork from Celtic manuscripts. This card game is a 1999 Parents' Choice Silver Award winner. --Tom Keogh ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Quiddler is fast-paced, fun and challenging.
I have been playing Quiddler for several months. This is a fast-paced game. It's a lot of fun and challenging too. The more you play the game, the more aware you become of words since the difficult letters, such as J, Z, Q, and V and W, have higher point values. I am admittedly very competitive when playing games. I find that as I am reading books or the newspaper, I focus on words that contain letters with the higher point values, then I try to use these new words when I am playing the game. What a wonderful way to increase your vocabulary and spelling capabilities. I recommend this game for kids as young as 4 or 5 but as a perennial kid ten times that age, I have a lot of fun playing Quiddler! This game should be in all of the classrooms too--let's get kids hooked on Quiddler--a great way to improve their English skills. Marie Wilson, Fountain Hills AZ

Absolutely Fantastic
I've never written a review before, but I had to for Quiddler.
All the accolades are extremely well deserved. You can play with just about anyone and get completely absorbed.
A definite must-have!

Fun AND educational game
Brought this game when we went on vacation with another family. Players ranged from age 8 to 65. We had a blast!! Very easy game for anyone to learn. Kids and adults loved playing - learning new words was an added bonus. Game was played for hours at a time. Solitaire version is also fun. Would recommend for anyone. (Buy 2 because you're going to want to give one to a friend.)

Fabulous for kids and parents!
My daughters are 8 and 10, and ALL of us love playing this game. Because there are bonus points for the longest word AND for the most short words, both kids and grownups can win big points. Both of my girls usually pooh-pooh "educational" games, but they love this one, and it had definitely improved their spelling. We've had it for about six months and I've been recommending it to everyone.

Great, educational game!
This game is great for lovers of Scrabble who don't want to spend 2 hours playing a game. It is a fast but fun game that you can play with any number of people. I enjoy it becuase kids and adults alike can enjoy and learn from this game. It involves arranging your cards (with letters on them) into words. You get points based on the length of the word and the letters that you use. It helps get kids interested in spelling and vocabulary, but it is still a lot of fun for adults to play. My husband went to a bed and breakfast where they had this game, and we spent several hours of our anniversary playing Quiddler. It is very fun. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best board game ever made.
Diplomacy, without doubt, is simply the best board game ever made. ... any other game has nothing on diplomacy, it's incredible.
I first played it with some friends in school after a teacher introduced us to it, and within a couple of turns was completely hooked.
The game deal with world war I Europe, encompassing land and naval warfare, and the integration of both. The game is turn based and the map is divided up into territories, as well as major cities. More cities=more armies/navies, pretty simple concept.
Each player controls a particular country, and starts off with their armies/navies deployed as the rulebook says.
Unlike other board games, the game does not rely on dice rolling(some people have thought a better name for risk would be luck), so armies are evenly matched. In order for an army to invade another territory already occupied by an army, the invading arm must be supported by another army or navy in a territory adjacent to both.
So, players have to think strategically and diplomatically. This is a great group game(up to seven can play). Each turn, players submit a movement sheet, instructing each army what to do, everyone moves at the same time. So there is like a ten minute diplomacy session, where people talk to each other about what they're going to do, and how to help each other, trouble is, they can often lie.
The game is exceptionally good, it is also a good educational toy I'm not quite sure what durable means, the game is as physically durable as any other board game(so take care of it), as for play durability, I've been going for four years, and it just gets better.
This game is the monopoly of strategy games, every home should have a copy, buy it now.

The Best of Games
Excruciating game as well as mind-boggling and fun to play. Probably the best educational game I have played. You enjoy time with your friends making allies, enemies, and neutralities. The best part is your parents can't complain because it's educational and you watch TV and other things that parents which there children would abide by.

Can you say DIPLOMACY?
This game goes right along with Axis and Allies, Battle Cry, Risk, History of the World, Illuminati, Machiavelli, and all those other popular war games that are so fun. The cool thing about this game is that you do not use dice, counters, or anything to determine the result of the game. It all depends on lying and cheating on people at the right time and strategizing your moves correctly. It takes place during different seasons in the early 1900's when the "powder keg" of Europe had already exploded. If you are looking for a game that will last for hours and give you communication, and most importantly FUN, buy this game. You have nothing to lose. It is a great family game. I personally play the game in a club in my school. I learned how to convoy, support, and gain territory all thanks to the communication I had with my fellow peers.

The best game ever created... with a few pitfalls.
Diplomacy is the greatest game ever created, it's simple and complex at the same time. From the first time that i played diplomacy I was hooked. Diplomacy has two big disadvantages. Firstly it can be hard to get seven people together to play, secondly games can last hours, MANY hours. I can remember games that went on for five or six hours that were no closer to an ending. Besides this pitfall diplomacy is probably the best game ever made.

The Best ever
The best game for backstabbing plotting and raising a total havic. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Sequence
We have played this game in almost every way it could be played. We've played in 2 person teams,3 person teams and 4 person teams. We found that it doesn't make any difference how you play the game it is fun. We have played with kids and adults. It was fun for everyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it!
This is a fabulous get together game. Great to play in groups but also just as fun to play with 2 people. I recommend the deluxe version because you get the rubber mat for the board. The regular version has a cardboard mat.
Hours of fun!

The deluxe version's the best
I've had this game for a few years now and totally enjoy playing it with my wife. When my relatives from abroad came to stay with us, they too fell in love with this game. I thought I'd buy them the 'jumbo' version of this game, but I wish I had bought the deluxe version instead. Here's why: There are 3 versions of this game (normal, deluxe and jumbo). They're all the same in terms of how the game is played. But the biggest difference is the size of the mat and how it's packed in the box. The size of the deluxe mat is quite ideal - maybe the jumbo size is nice for big groups. BUT, the deluxe is the ONLY version of this game where the mat can actually be ROLLED and packed into the box. For the other two versions, you have to FOLD the mat and put it in the box. And that makes a big difference since folding tends to crease the mat. My relatives (who are now abroad) tell me that they roll up their jumbo mat and store it outside the box - that's no good, but they still enjoy the game of course!
In terms of the game itself, it's quite simple. Just make one or two sequences (depending on the number of players) - corners are wild, two-eyed jacks are wild, one-eyed jacks can remove an opponent's coin. As for the number of players, any multiple of 2 or 3 can play the game - so you can have 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10 or 12 players.
To summarize, the game is lots of fun and quite relaxing in that you don't have to think too much. And if you are going to buy a version of this game, I highly recommend the deluxe version because you can roll the mat into the box - something you can't do with the other versions.
P.S. I just realized that there's also a kid's version of this game. We actually bought that as well to keep the little folks occupied while the adults played the adult version! The kid's version is nice (the mat is actually a board - so folding is not a problem there). But the number of squares is few and if you have more than 2 kids (or adults!) playing, you could easily get into a stalemate. Just thought I'd mention that since I was comparing different versions of this game.

Awesome game
This is an awesome game. Very fun to play and easy to understand. Does take strategy along with good luck. Excellent for young and old.
Highly recommend this game!! Worth spending more for the Deluxe Edition.

This classic game of luck, strategy, and determination is easy to grasp for children as young as 6 years old, yet it's fun for adults and older siblings too. By drawing cards, players move their game pieces around the board, hoping to eventually accumulate all their pieces at the final destination--home sweet home. Sorry is known as the game of "sweet revenge," since players can send each other's pawns back to the starting line, thus forcing one another to lose ground and begin all over again. This kind of frustration may be hard for children under age 8 to handle. In fact, young ones typically crumble into tears of outrage when their pawns are cavalierly sent back. The only recourse is to teach children how to plot their own revenge, which makes them feel as powerful as superheroes. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My 8 year old nephew loves this game!
This game works well with 6-9 year olds. Based on random cards as well as strategy. Object is to get all four of your color pieces to your home by going around the board. Each number card means something different (i.e. 4 = go backwards 4 spaces; 11 = you may trade places with your opponent). Players who get a "Sorry" card get to send their opponent back to Start!

TRAUMATIC CHILDHOOD MEMORIES
All I remember about this game is getting into fights with my brother when one of us would taunt they other with "sorry" (...)when we sent a piece back to the home square. This game taught revenge and frustration. you work so hard to try to get out of the starter box, only to be sent back in by a smart-aleck younger sibling. I hated this game, and would not inflict this kind of trauma on my young 'uns.

Good Strategy
This was a fun game, even now. I started playing it with my friends in my old home, but hadn't played it again until this year when I got it for Christmas.

I gave it a 4 in fun because sometimes it does get a bit boring, especially at the beginning. Sometimes we go through almost the entire deck until we finally manage to get a 1 or a 2--Maybe the result of bad shuffling? Hehe.

A five in education value because it teaches kids strategy and good sportmanship rules. Despite what some review said, this does have some stratedy--should you split the seven between 2 components, or just use one? Which other opponet should you bump? Would going backwards help you? Also, if you have young kids, you have to teach them not to get frusterated when they are bumped.

Sorry! Is relatively durable. My friend's version tore because of the trifold design, but mine apparently is very durable. Me, my two sisters and 3 cousins aren't exactly very good with somet things, so considering all this, it's holding up very nicely, hehe.

I'd recommend this for young kids over mindless "Candyland" or the ever-lasting "Monopoly".

Great for young kids, and big kids, too!
Our son just turned six, and we bought Sorry for him about six months ago. There are some board games for tots that we have to force ourselves to play with him, but not Sorry. Up to four can play, and basic counting skills can be sharpened as well as decision-making skills--our son is picking up on the actual strategy one can use within the game to move all his/her men around the board from Start to Home. The four primary colors (yellow, red, blue and green) make it easy for him to keep up/stay focused, and the playing cards are durable and easy to follow. The board is durable, too--my son hasn't been able to tear it up yet! Strongly recommended for any family who enjoys everyone taking part in a good board game, and an effective teaching tool, too.

GREAT CLASSIC
I played Sorry as a kid & now I'm playing it with mine. The game can change dramatically with the draw of 1 card so sometimes it's hard for my 6 year old to handle it. We did change some of the rules to make a little easier on her at first. For instance: you do not have to get to home on exact count; we don't split the 7's & don't switch places on the 11 (I think it's the 11). This made it less confusing for a little one who can't read the instructions on each card but we added rules as we went along to make it more challenging. I KNOW WE'LL BE PLAYING THIS AS A FAMILY & my kids will play it with themselves & their friends FOR YEARS TO COME!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars dragon's roar iz only 4 experianced duelists
I suggest that this deck be used 4 very powerful duelists. If u r a beginner well u'll hav 2 start frm scratch. The main point 4 this deck-get your strongest dragons out 2 the field. try 2 find your best dragons n build enough power 4 ur red eyes darkness dragon, ive gotten this deck already n ive customized it 2 be a deck with balenced cards. Try gettin' sum booster packs lik soul of the duelist n aim 4 horus the black flame dragon lv 8. 1 important thing try 2 avoid an opponent's buster blader. gud luck wit ur yugioh decks n trust ur cards cuz ders no such thing as weak cards Every card has its own strength

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT DECK
this deck is great for new duelist or dragon duelists. The better duelest might not be able to use some of the cards. ths deck is better than zombie roar.

5-0 out of 5 stars A MUST-HAVE DECK :P!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't have much to say except THIS DECK ROCKS :p!!!!!!!! There. I think I made my point :p!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: If you don't know wether to get this or Zombie Madness, get this (even if you're a beginner):p.

5-0 out of 5 stars one of the best decks ever
first off I would like to say SWEET! this deck comes with 40 cards 1 is holo and I must say it looks sweet. I kinda got jipped because the red eyes in there I already have from a Shonen Jump anniversery addition, but hey my sj one is holo and more valuable.Overall I think this is the perfect deck.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT!!!!!
This deck is great; red eyes darkness is really nice looking also, but if you're looking for your first deck, then i would recommend zombie madness...moving on!!
Just add a dragon treasure, blue eyes, and a monster reborn and your deck will be much better than it was before...if you need more firepower added to your deck i suggest a blue eyes or possibly a tri horned dragon of you're going for a dragon deck, but if you're not, a cosmo queen will sit just fine. i was also thinking about getting zombie madness but i decided on this because i already have two blue eyes to strengthen it, plus the red eyes darkness dragon looks nicer than vampire genesis :P ... No Sun No Solar System!
You can't very well have a solar system without a sun and this product does not have one. Ridiculous!

Vincent 's favorite Night time activitie
I purchased this for my son (He just turned 2) after he was totally taken with Baby Einstein's Baby Galileo's Dvd. It's a bit of a pain with the installation (fishing wire, and those very tiny star tac's ). But other than that its a great way for children to learn about the solar system.

A must have!!!!!!!!

I want one too
My daughter got one of these but never showed much interest, so we hung it in my 4-yo son's room. It was so cool, the planets glow really brightly and in different colors....Jupiter is kind of red and neptune is blueish. I take every opportunity to go in his room and watch these, I want my own set. Now all I need to do is convince my wife.
Very cool toy.

Educational Room Decorations
The educational value of having the planets hang from our son's room is great. At 4 years-old, he could name the nine planets thanks in large part to this "toy". So I give it the highest marks in educational value. A little tid-bit about each of the planets is provided on a panthlet in this set and I read it to our son as my husband hung the set. Our son actually memorized much of what I read to him and when the set was new he asked me to reread the panthlet to him several times to fill in the pieces of information that he had forgotten.

It's also fun in that our son enjoys showing it to our guests and telling them about the planets. However, I rate the set as 4 out of 5 stars in the fun category simply because it is more like decoration. This set hangs from the ceiling, so you never play with it or even touch it once it is hung. You simply enjoy looking at it and talking about it.

The downside of this set is that the stars are really small stickers so you will want to purchase some larger glow-in-the-dark stars. Also it is a pain to hang this set since you have to tie fishing line to each of the planets and then use tack-like objects to connect them to the ceiling. But once you have it all set up your child will probably be pleased.

The Case of the Missing Sun
I am currently considering purchasing this toy for my 7 year old nephew. From the reviews, it sounds pretty neat. However, for all those reviewers who were mourning the lack of a sun, allow me to point out that this set seems to be scientifically to scale. Since that is the case, a 3d model of the sun would be thousands of times larger than the model of the earth, hence you would have about a 6 foot wide sun model to hang from your ceiling! That might just be a little too awkward.

Still think I'm going to purchase it, though. ... Read more
