A Excellent Toy
I Love the toy but I think the prices of all the equipment is a little pricey. So if the prices go down I think there would be more buying.

not worth it
My friend got one for Christmas last year. She said that I could use it for a while. When I pushed play, I could barely see it. Also, the screen is too small, and all the videos they have are mostly nickolodeon. If you are thinking about buying one it will be a waste of money.IF you want something to watch while your traveling go buy a portable dvd player like we have now,and it works great.

HINT:the reason video now is so cheap is because it doesn't work that well.First it was $49.99, now it's $39.95.

Waste of money!
Grandparents bought the Video Now for our 7 year old son for Christmas. It is now June, and the Video Now is broken and was untouched for some time before it was discovered to be broken. The small screen and flickering images gave our son a headache, which made us limit the time that he could spend watching it. The cost of the disks was ridiculous, as was the cost of the many, many batteries it took to run the thing for half an hour at a time.

Basically, it is yet another money drainer for parents. All of the cartoons are available, in full color, on TV and on video and dvd for those absolutely desperate to watch non-stop Sponge Bob or whatever. There were no educational disks that I could find for our son, and he was soon totally disinterested in using it.

All that I can say in its favor, is that I'm SO glad that *I* didn't waste money buying the VN!!

Be Very Careful!
I bought a video now and i really liked it. I was going to california, and i live in wisconsin, and when i went through the metal detector, it broke my video now! I was SOO Mad Because I JUST Bought It!!!!! I travel on planes a lot, so i might just go with a regular portable dvd player. When i had it though, i really enjoyed. So if you go on planes a lot, DO NOT BRING YOUR VIDEO NOW WITH! YOU'LL REGRET IT!

Neat Toy!!!
Bought for my 2 year old who loves it. Very easy to use even an adult can figure it out.(After the 2 year old shows you, just kidding). It has been dropped quite a bit and still works fine. Great for trips or when there is something you want to watch on TV. Great toy for the price. Something that your kids will be able to get a lot of use out of. And it does pause once in a while, like a cd player without anti skip device does but it is only for a second if the player gets bumped or dropped. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Candy Land comes to life in this electronic game for young kids. Six games of varying degrees of complexity are included: the simplest challenges kids to catch falling plums in a basket, and the hardest has players looking for matching gum drops beneath rows of peanut brittle. Other games ask kids to repeat sequences of flashing lights or to count the number of visible lollipops on the game's screen. Candy Land character Mr. Mint leads players through all the fun, helping them develop skills in counting, sorting, etc. Youngsters who don't have any preconceived ideas that this game could be hard should have no problem figuring it all out very quickly. --Tom Keogh ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Fun but too quiet
We bought this toy for a car trip and you had to hold it to your ear to hear it. Not something a 5 year old wants to do a lot of on a 10 hour trip.

Not good for 4 yr old
I was very disappointed with this product. My daughter often finds the devise too hard to operate and the games are too easy.
As a result, it didn't hold her interest for very long. She is 4 yrs old and is used to operating video games, computer games, etc...but this game is more annoying to try to play than it is fun.

Waste of money
I bought this for my 4-year-old who is now almost five - neither of us are too "dumb", I have a grad degree and she's starting read - and neither of us can figure this thing out!!! :) If we get it to play the game she wants, it's purely by accident. Audio doesn't even sound like a real voice - very difficult to understand, video is too small to see very well. I don't think it's a game a child could figure out independently until they are 7 or 8 and I get too frustrated with the thing to help her out.

Great Travel Toy
My daughter loves this toy, especially when she is bored in the car. She plays with it all the time since she has it and still likes it so much. The toy turns off by it itself if not being played for a few minutes. I wish there is a power switch, so the kid can turn it off rather than wasting the battery. This toy "eats" battery really fast.

DO NOT BUY!!! JUNK!!!
Worst waste of money! I bought this for my 5-yr-old. The graphics and sound are terrible. It was dropped once on carpet and froze up completely, never to work again. No off switch. She could play the games but found it boring. My 3 1/2 yr-old son hated it too. I feel like I was ripped off completely. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Yahtzee Hold 'Em: A Bust!
This game; is a poor attempt to capitalize on both the Hold'Em craze, as well as the Yahtzee franchise.

If someone wants to play poker; they'll use playing cards; not dice.Besides; the original "Yahtzee!" game already rolls for full houses, straights, etc., the game is far from a unique concept.

The only redeeming factor is the parts seemingly will hold up--for the few times you play this game. ... Read more

The Bratz, a group of little girls with big attitudes, are getting ready for a big night out. And naturally a night on the town is absolutely impossible without the right outfit. In this game, each player picks a character (Yasmin, Cloe, Sasha, or Jade) and navigates them around the board, collecting clothes from the other Bratz’ closets. There are appropriately cosmetic hazards (be careful not to get your hair mussed up or let someone else borrow an essential piece of apparel). Shallow and superficial? Of course it is. But that’s part of the fun, especially for younger girls who dream of one day becoming glamorous teenagers. --John Moe ... Read more

Wow!
When my Friend came over to spend the night,so brought this game over.I was very very surprised of how fun this game is!What you do is you match the clothes from each Bratz (You will understand when you get it).I love this and I guess you will too! Very fun game!
We do not yet own this game, but our neighbor does and we will be getting our own very soon. I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old and they both have lots of fun playing this game with their neighbor. It is a very good memory game and my 5 year old understands the rules. I would recommend this game to anyone.

My 5 yr old loves it!!!!!
But I am sooo tired of playing it! One of the perks of being a stay at home mom! It is a cute game and does not take to long to play and my daughter adores it and her friends are always willing to play it when they come over, so it is definatly worth buying.

the best game
this game is the best game i have ever played.my mom usley dosn't play games but she played this one.

Excellent!
I luved it! I'm 13 and I like it! If pieces get lost, I think that is on the kids not the item. This game is fun, I recommend it to anyone! I think the pieces wouldn't get lost if someone older played with it. ... Read more

Especially appealing to energetic little critters, the classic toddler game Ants in the Pants requires no reading or waiting for turns. It's "One--two--three--Go!" and everyone is racing to pop all four of their bugs into Fido's bloomers. It's that simple. Plastic "ants" are big enough (2.5 inches) that even little fingers find it easy to perform feats of insect trajectory. A hilarious hit with the shorter set. --Julie Ubben ... Read more

Fun toy for young children
I had this game when I was a kid and I loved playing with it.
The pieces are charming, even though it tend to be pretty difficult operating if the muscle coordination is not good. I would not recommend this game to toddlers if they want to chew on the game pieces.

Ants have lost their jump
This is a classic game that still has concept appeal, however cheap materials is ruining the effect. We played this game as kids and had loads of fun. Bought it for my 4yr old, and found the game more trying due to the cheap plastic of the ants. The olden day ants were made of a harder plastic yet still flexible to pop in. Today's ants are thinner plastic and bend more easily, making them get out of shape with normal pressure and then they don't pop up , so the game is trying. You have to exert just the right amount of pressure to pop the ant and not squash him. We have tried on several occasions and with different individuals, with the same results. However, the appeal is still there, so when my daughter(4 yrs) who has a lighter hand and makes a score when no one else does, it's immediate delight. But even her lighter touch is not sufficient to get all the ants in without the ants becoming distorted. I would say to the toymakers use a little more umph in the plastic on the ants and you'll easily revive a classic game. The other downfall is the dog's suspenders do not fix into the box while assembled. So setup and takedown is required with each game.

Easy to play, but difficult for young children to master
Considering how few multi-player games exist for very young children, "Ants in the Pants" is a boon for parents. Unfortunately, it may be more fun for parents than for the youngest kids.

Making the plastic ants jump into the pants is fun, but my three year old son found it frustrating, getting no ants in after many minutes of trying. But he was dogged after I encouraged him to practice more. (It's difficult to assist kids in learning how to apply just the right pressure to control the jump of the ant.) After a while he got one in, but by that time he was mentally fried. Since then he has shown little interest in the game.

I personally find the game fun, so it's disappointing that my son doesn't. Obviously, you're mileage will vary. My advice is that it might be a better game for kids four and a half and older.

The game is fairly well made and the ants virtually indestructable. Other than the fact that you can lose the small ants, the game should last a while.

Considering the inexpensive price, it's worth a try. If all else fails and the kids bail, you and the Mrs. can play.

3 year old son loves it.
I bought this toy at a garage sale and my some really likes it. He has no trouble getting the ants in the pants - for the most part. He loves trying to flick them in. It's been great for teaching him about taking turns. Sometimes, he even plays with it by himself.

grandchildren fun
We have a ants in the pants game sans a few of the ants but
when the kids come to visit we have a grand time playing this
game and they always ask for it. so we rate it a fun game and
also a teaching tool. ... Read more

Mission Command Sea Game Best of the bunch!
This new version of the earlier issue of "Carrier Strike" is a slimmed down, less complicated issue that improves on re-play ability. It becomes obvious immediately that the Harpoon missle is the most valuable component in the game. There is also a slight strategy to the placement of the Carrier and the two barrier islands and in the wake of what happened to the Japanese at Midway you would be wise to keep all fighters scrambled at all times. The use of sidewinder missles in plane to plane dogfighting is of little value, increasing your die roll by one or a re-roll of one die only. (They could have done better) and it is basically useless to attack any plane that is flying without a harpoon missle (the only real offensive threat) . The two destroyers in the game are used for defense and once they are sunk future harpoon attacks will most likely end in victory, which is the sinking of the enemy carrier with two harpoon missle hits. Overall it is an entertaining game that can be concluded in about a half hour of combat. Probably the best of the three games due to the Sea/Air aspects and if you want to buy only one this is the one to get. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Pne of the best toys ever.
I started thinking of this toy when a friend of mine had a child. I remember the hours of fun I had with my barrel of monkeys and for the price, this is a great toy. It must be purchased for all children of America.

It is inexpensive, and will provide hours of creative play.

5-0 out of 5 stars Monkey Monkey Monkey!
The "Barrel of Monkeys" game may be one of the easiest, simplest games ever to be marketed. It consists of a plastic barrel about the size of a grapefruit filled with little plastic monkeys, arms extended and bent. (You've seen them, either in Toy Story, 12 Monkeys, or in your genetic memory. These things have been around forever.) The goal of the game is to pick up a string of monkeys by holding the top one and looping arms together. It's about as complicated as pick-up sticks, and more fun -- after all, it's monkey-based.

The fun of Barrel of Monkeys isn't the game. It's the score of plastic monkeys. Monkeys are inherently funny, plastic loop-armed monkeys even moreso. Consider the price, too: a couple dollars for a whole barrel of monkeys. How can you /not/ afford to buy it? ... Read more

Fun Family Game
This 4 player game involves players in battle where they have to roll the dice to win and either go foward or backward depending on the roll of the dice. There are activity cards that require the player to make Shrek character noises or sing Shrek songs. Overall it is a fun game a little lengthy for the younger ones, I would recommend it as an addition to your game collection! ... Read more
