4-0 out of 5 stars Iceman: Good but not perfect
When the UPS man arrived at my door today I was psyched to finally have a Marvel Legends version of my favorite X-Man.At first glance the figure looked great. After cutting it out of the package I did find a few inperfections.

The first came when I tried to put the base together, which is in 3 parts. The first is the Sentinal hand, the second is an ice "shaft" that snaps into the hand. The third is the ice platform on which Iceman stands. The platform snapped onto the shaft after a nice hard push.It didn't seem to fit at first, but once it was on it could be removed and reassembled with no problems. However, the peg on the hand didn't fit into the hole on the bottom of the shaft. This may only be a problem with mine, but it's very frustrating. It barely stays together. As an optimist (one of the last of a dying breed, thank you Generation X) I always find the brighter side of things.Since Marvel Legends are generally used for display and not play, this problem should only occur a few times. It will stay together well enough for display.

The second probem was the difficulty I had actually getting him to pose on his base. It's a very awkward base that really only allows for one type of pose, the pictured on the reverse side of the packaging. However, that particular pose is nearly impossible to accomplish. His hands won't stay in the ice slots provided for them. Also, the actual stance in which he is to stand is also difficult to accomplish.

I give this toy 4 stars, which is pretty generous. My actual grade would be about a 3.25 or thereabouts.

3-0 out of 5 stars Ice Man summons snow storm
I was in my trailer and then I saw a light it was the burning trash can that we to stay warm ha ha I mae a joke I'm richer then all of you I bizzalon dollars which you can find if your heart is pure by the way go Iceman

3-0 out of 5 stars ICEMAN IS COOL, BUT HE COULD'VE BEEN COOLER...
Out of all the figures in the Marvel Legends Series 8, I was most excited about getting this one.Just like back in Series 5, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Colossus.Iceman and Colossus are two of my favorite X-Men.As it turned out, I was the most disappointed in Colossus. The case is the same here with Iceman. It's just like what the reviewer "K Feinstein" said in his review of Ultimate Capt. America. You're excited that ToyBiz finally produces the character you want for Marvel Legends, but you're disappointed when you see their final product.Fans have kind of a love/hate relationship with ToyBiz.I was expecting to see him in the same body sculpt as Mr. Fantastic.Just like it shows him in all the pictures you see.(I've always thought that ToyBiz could crank out a lot of Legends characters using that sculpt.)Well, they didn't do that. They used the same body sculpt as the Black Costumed Spiderman from Spiderman Classics Series 9-which wasn't one of my favorites.(It's not a bad choice, but there are better ones.Like, the Daredevil and Silver Surfer sculpt.)This fact bothers me more than it does my son.He thinks it looks great. The articulation and poseablity are very good. The joints are pretty seamless and well concealed. He has a neat paint job and a very cool display stand. The package says it's wall mountable-which it is-but it looks better standing on a flat surface. The figure also comes with a reprint of X-Men #18 where Iceman has to take on Magneto by himself until his teammates can free themselves from a death trap that Magneto set for them.A great issue for young readers. Some problems that my son came across were that the joints were SO stiff that he broke off Iceman's right arm at the shoulder just trying to get it to bend. The pin holding the arm to the shoulder just popped out so I was able to fix it for him. But, most of the common bending areas seemed too stiff.Secondly, the display stand was hard for my son to assemble. It comes in 3 pieces:the Sentinal hand, the middle chunk of ice, and the top piece of ice where Iceman is placed. The hard part is connecting the Sentinal hand to the middle piece of ice.It doesn't "pop" in so you know that it's connected properly. The surrounding pieces of ice prevent it from going down all the way, too.I helped him and I had to push dang hard on that thing before I felt comfortable that it was in as far as it would go.There isn't anywhere to grab the pieces in a good spot to give you leverage with all the icicles sticking out everywhere.Hopefully, this is unique to our figure because the base is attractive.Unfortunately, he's not very well stocked, so if you do happen to break something beyond repair, it may be hard to find a replacement. All things considered, this is a good action figure and well worth the price you pay for it.But, even my son agrees that they could've made him a little better-and a little more durable--than this and that 3 stars is an appropriate mark.

3-0 out of 5 stars Could've been a lot better.
I think Toybiz dropped the ball on this figure.I respect the economics of re-using old sculpts to make new characters, but Iceman deserved better. It's just a really boring rendition of the character. The base is great, but the figure should've had more detail. At the very least some interchangeable arms with different ice weapons would have been nice.Of all the X-men characters to appear in Marvel Legends so far, this is definitely the worst figure from a quality sculpt standpoint.

5-0 out of 5 stars Iceamn Cometh

3-0 out of 5 stars Web Swinging Spiderman Set
I got this for my 4 year old son, & while he loves it (when it is working), it is not worth the hassle. The clamps provided do not secure properly to any surface I have found. If you do find something to clamp it onto halfway, you'd better have a room large enough so that you can leave it set up for a while to make it worth it.Otherwise, you'll be ducking under it to pass by.It does have up to 20 feet of string which is great, but the trolley often comes detached fom the string & has to be put back on.It also doesn't swing from side to side like it should once it hits something, you have to push it back the other way.Lastly, if your son is like mine, it doesn't entertain him long to watch a toy move unless he can get in the action (that is why the trolley keeps falling off).I wouldn't waste your money like I did. ... POSEABLE!!!
this toy is great. u gotta trust me. this toy has a lot of pionts of articulation and is amazingly poseable. even its mouth opens. i play with it almost every day! it is WAY COOL!!

HIGH-QUALITY MANUFACTURING
Very well done, ToyBiz! This figure is one excellent piece of work. Quality crafted, very articulated, nicely detailed...one of the best Marvel Legends figures by far. Get him while hes still available!!!!

A BEAUTIFUL BEAST FIGURE!!
This figure of a popular character is worth every penny!! He's very poseable, durable, and his likeness is right on target. I prefer the classic Beast look as opposed to the newer versions of Beast. Even his thumbs and fingers have articulation. You can really have fun with this figure putting him in different action and fighting poses. The fact that Beast's hands and feet are unusually large help keep him from falling down on some of the more awkward poses. At first, I thought he had too much articulation. Or, I thought he had too much articualtion in one area and not enough in another. It turns out that this figure was very well done. Nice job, ToyBiz!

A great figure of my favorite X-Man
Sorry, all you Wolverine and Gambit fans out there -- for my money, the Beast has always been the coolest of the X-Men. Sharp, witty, brilliant and an overall great character -- and with this figure we've finally got a great action figure of the Beast in his classic form.

This sturdy figure has a fantastic sculpt and TONS of articulation. He's easily poseable and comes with a pretty good base to climb upon. If that three-star rating in the "educational" category seems odd, it's because it comes with a reprint of an X-Men comic book in it, and anything that gets kids to read gets bonus points in my book. I just wish they had selected an issue of X-Men that had more to do with the Beast, he's really just a bit player in that comic. I suspect it was chosen primarily because there's a great Jim Lee drawing of the character on the cover.

If you like the Beast, this is the figure to get.

AWSOME!!
Beast is so cool! He can open his mouth and is completely poseable! He moves his arms, hands, fingers, legs, opens mouth, turns head, toes move, and even comes with a stand!!! He is the coolest toy made so far! I love him, not only is he awsome, but he's a handsome little devil too! Even my sister plays with him! ... Read more

Craptastic!
Out of all the Marvel Legends toys, only Toad is a worse action figure. Why would they put a figure with such limited articulation in a collection of HIGHLY ARTICULATED FIGURES? The costume is a great re-creation of the god awful S&M number from that equally god awful movie. I think I actually hate this figure because it reminds me of Affleck. In any event this is one of the worst figures in this line. I hope the person who green lighted this is now working in hazardous waste removal with no mask or gloves.

MOVIE DAREDEVIL...DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS.
This figure could have been done A LOT better considering the other Marvel Legends figures that have been released. The articulation is average, at best. The wrist and ankles are weak and tend to become very loose. The shoulder and hip joints only allow you to turn his arms and legs back and forth. Most other Marvel Legends figures can do that plus turn outward from the body. For a character who performs a lot of acrobatics, you would think they would have made him similar in articulation to a Spiderman figure. The weapon included with the figure is basically good for decoration because it doesn't fit in the figure's hands very well. He has a wall mountable display base that is appropriate to the figure. The comic book is a good one to have if you are not familiar with the Daredevil's origin. Otherwise, save your pennies and try to purchase the Daredevil figure from the Spiderman Classics series of figures or purchase the Marvel Legends: Urban Legends 4-pack featuring Spiderman, the Punisher, Elektra, and a repainted Daredevil from the Spiderman Classics series. He is in a darker red costume and looks great.

PARENTS BEWARE - COMIC BOOK INCLUDED IS PORNOGRAPHIC!!!
SEX, DRUGS, HIV - YES, IT'S ALL THERE IN THE DAREDEVIL COMIC BOOK INCLUDED WITH THIS TOY. My 4 year old nephew loves his action figures and for his birthday requested a Daredevil action figure. I ordered the action figure and gave it to him for his birthday. He went home with it and shortly after I received a call from his parents telling me of the vulgar contents of the comic book. I went to their home to see for myself and it was true! There are references to sex, drugs, HIV and dying in the comic book. This product is not appropriate for any age!!!! Parents beware! Especially for children that can read. I was extremely embarrased and very angry that a toy recommended for children 4 years and older would contain such trash.

Highly fun and addictive
this figure is great. but there is one bad thing about it: the little plastic clip that is supposed to go around his waist does not fight around it. overall it is a very kool toy and should delight collecters of all ages. a great toy to get as a gift, for someone else, or just for yourself. highly detailed and fully articulated. also another drawback is the point that his arms and legs do not have double joints, therefore they do not move outwards. but it's still really really cool so you should get it!!!

DD's the best!
i am a big fan of DD and i just think this figure deserves a better review than what other review sites are giving. Sure it may have fewer POA's and ben affleck as matt murdock, for some, may not be a popular choice but considering that it was adapted from the movie (which i think, really kicked ass!) gives this particular toy a certain touch of rarity, especially the bearded variant. and maybe due to unpopular demand, we might not be able to see affleck as the man without fear ever again! rare enough? hahaha! ... Quite possibly they worst action figure ever.
This action figure is in fact a repaint of an earlier Sabretooth figure. The mold used to create this was built off of a sculpt of the X-men villian Sabretooth. The metal arm bands and bracelets are intended to be restraints, and the rips to the shirt are supposed to indicate that Wolverine clawed him acrossed the chest. The figure does not have Wolverine's signiture claws, or hairstyle, the figure doesn't even show Wolverine's stature or build properly. The costume the figure is wearing isn't even a very good approximation of Wolverine's costume. The figure looks like it belongs on a 1980's glam rock poster. Do not buy this for a collector, a comic book fan, or even an observant child. This is not by any measure a good toy. There are far better toys out there for any purpose you might purchase this toy for. I cannot reccomend more highly against this poor product.

a so so toy
i do not like the facial expressions on his face and he gets boring after a while but durablity is ok

Editorial Review

Getting most action figures to sit on the shelf is futile. But not withNorman Osborn--eleven points of articulation and well-thought-out leg jointsallow him to sit in his chair in a more natural position. Granted, it doesn'tappear to be comfortable, but that could be due to the chair's special feature.Placing Norman's alter-ego mask on the chair and giving the seat a push makesthe mask emit one of three phrases and lights up its eyes. The Green Goblin maskdoesn't fit on Norman's head or rest well on his lap (as the packagingsuggests), but just pushing on the seat cushion to hear the villain's cackle isenough. The facial sculpt of Willem Dafoe could be better, but the figure issturdy and stands well without assistance. --A. Galindo ... Read more

not very good
this toy is not very good. the arm broke off a week after i got it. and then my daddy glued it for me but then it broke again! it doesn't pose in very many places.

Cool
This is an ok toy.Not really movable or anything but still is an exellent display figure.so if you have a collection of s.p toys this is amust.(...)

Good to sit on a shelf but really that much fun? Maybe.
If you are a collector and want a good addition to your spiderman set then this one is really good for you. I told my 5 year old son to pick one toy at [local store] the other day and this is the one he picked. He got it home showed it to his friends and it has since been running in my feet ever since due to it laying on the floor. If he plays with it it's when I'm not looking but he does like it. Good toy but not great.

Speaking Goblin
This toy is great i mean the mask even talks it says three phrases from the movie Spiderman. It says "the world will be yours and mine,"can Spiderman come out to play, and laughs. If your a big fan of Goblin definetly get this toy. This is why this toy is awesome.

the green goblin
well i bought this one for my set... but its a great toy, the 3 phrases dat it says sounds like the goblin from the movie and the eyes light up, it was dark in my room and i pushed it and got alittle freaked out, great details and the figure looks just like the actor... this toy comes with the figure, the chair and the lightup helmet... great details overall 4 for me ... SPIDERMAN AND THE SHOCKER...SORT OF...
This is a nice Spiderman figure. Even though he looks too skinny and the webbing on his costume looks too close together when compared to other ToyBiz Spiderman figures, it has other redeeming qualities. This figure has decent--and more useful--articulation than most figures. Head, neck, shoulders, arms, elbows, mid forearms, waist, hips, knees, mid-shin, and ankles all bend and/or rotate. It has an interchangeable head so that you can pose him with a Peter Parker head so it seems as if he has taken off his mask for a little fresh air. He has two fists instead of the overused "web shooting" pose. Personally, I think this is wonderful. Spidey can finally trade punches with the bad guys instead of spin webs all the time. Also, the joint at the waist only turns far enough to the left or the right to allow the spring action inside to work and make it look like Spidey is throwing a punch. Again, I think this is great. All the other Spiderman action figures we have bought have this joint and it turns the figure all the way around 360 degrees. No one can do that in real life. Not to mention that it is also the first joint that gets loose and his body will twist and turn around even when you don't want him to. The accessory is OK. The Shocker can be "trapped" to the wall that he is permanently attached to by "punching" him. The webbing that traps him doesn't always wrap around the Shocker every time it is activated. Only the Shocker's head moves, unfortunately. It would have been real nice to have him as a separate action figure, though. Or, they could have made it a 2-in-1 action figure pack. A good product for kids. ... Read more
