Very Cool Figure
This figure comes with another head to attach on with Abe wearing his goggles as well as a harness to go around his neck. With them on, he looks like he just stepped out of the movie. This is a gem for any collectors but also a lot of fun as well! Beautiful amphibious paint job too!

Hellboy's psychic amphibious sidekick, Abe Sapien
In the world of Hellboy, Abraham "Ape" Spaien is a mer-man whose origin is uncertain. He was found by plumbers in a water-filled casket hidden away in a forgotten chamber in the basement of St. Trinian's Hospital in Washington, D.C., where he was in a state of suspended animation. The label on the container had the date Abraham Lincoln died (which would be April 15, 1865, having been shot the previous night at Ford's Theater) and the notation "Ichthyo Sapien". Consequently it was decided to name the creature Abe Sapien when he went to work for the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense and became an ally of Hellboy.

The figure in director Guillermo del Toro's film looks a bit different from the one in Mike Mignola's Dark Horse comic book. Played by Doug Jones, although the voice is obviously David Hyde Pierce, this Abe Sapien is one of the better shades of blue-green you have seen on an 8" action figure for some time. Abe is wearing his swim shorts, has a pretty cool belt, and comes with goggles and his water-breathing device for when he has to follow Hellboy, Liz Sherman, and John Meyers around on dry land.

This one is probably my favorite of the Hellboy action figures produced by Mezco, which also includes bad guys Rasputin and Kroenen along with Hellboy himself. I especially like the details on Abe's hands. True, you have to be careful how you pose him, because if it is not just right, this figure is going to fall down. But one thing in Abe's favor is that he has a lot of poses in which he looks good, especially if you are pretending he is swimming around underwater in his tank.

This Figure Is Great!
I love this figure! He has great detail and sculpting and some cool accessories. The baby Sammael figure is also extremely detailed for something so small. This is probably one of the best action figures I have bought all year.

Fish Stick!
This is a great figure! He is very accurate to the movie (did anyone else notice he's the only "shiny" figure? every other character is textured but Abe looks like he's all wet! Bad Itchyo Sapien Pun *_*) Okay, one minor complaint and it is so minor that it doesn't lower the score of this toy and that is that he can't sit on a shelf. that's it. Heis other forms of articulation are amazinf, as is the detail. His feet allow him to stand by himself, always a plus with high end action figures. Abe is also so +sigh+ pretty blue with movie accurate markings all over him. I also love his hands! Yeah, his hands, they're positioned just like they are when he's "seeing" in the movie (which I loved if you can't tell ^_^) Educational wise, its great for teaching kids about Itchyo Sapiens, How Action Figures should be made or the hazards of dumping radioactive waste into the ocean.
He's super durable! I carried around in my backpack once and he stayed in good shape. Abe comes with a creepy baby Sammael, too. Abe come shighly reccomended from a HEllboy Fangirl!

Oh shut up, you cry baby!
Oh, your Abe figure doesnt not quite live up to your dreams? TOO FREAKIN BAD! I have two of them; one Previews Exclusive and the regular Abe figure, and they are standing right now on my table. Before you decide to slam a figure. Why not take the time to mess with Abe's circle thigh joints. Once you rotate them the right way, he stands easily. Heck, they both stand easily. Slamming these great toys, just because you cant figue out a thigh joint. Does nothing but make you look ridiculous.

Batman in black
This action figure is really fantastic, the mixture of silver and black makes Batman look totally awsome and intimidateing. He has five points of articulation and will not break unless you really put some force into it. The only problem with this toy is the body poportion (his legs look pathetic compared to his overly musclular upper body) and the way the main frame is like all the other JL figures other than these minor flaws this figure will please any Batman lover.

Looks nice but utterly a disapointment
Just like it's blue counterpart, the Black/Silver Batman looks immpresive in it's carded box with the trading card and stand inside. But after a couple of hours of displaying the figure on it's stand, Batman started to lean forward as it's legs weren't able to support the figures upper body weight. (When you really look at it, the weight of all the JLA figures with the exception of the new Lex Luthor in the Superman/Lex 2-Pack aren't distributed equally as it's base, the legs, are so small while their upper body looks like they spent weeks in the gym) If your a collector and you want to display the figures, do so without using the stands, they are practically useless in the long run. I suggest that you just leave them inside their packagings. They look better that way. As for the kids who want to play with this figure. It's a great buy as it looks just like what they see on television and that is certainly something that will spark their imagination.

The Dark Knight Never Looked So Good.
I never could figure out why Batman used to run around in grey and blue outfits. When the animated series switched to grey and black, that made more sense. But a jet black Batman with silver highlights...it's just too sweet for words.

Get alot
Stack up on all these JL figures while you can. Especially since alot of these offered by amazon are first productions which are gonna be rare(they have 2nd for Martian manhunter though but first for batman and superman variants and WW). ... Read more

I'll pass, thanks
Star Wars Episode One Racer is a highly addictive game, but addictive is not necessarily a good thing. The graphics are good, for GBC, bu this game is just like most other GBC racers, this only offers get-in-1st-and-win gameplay, which I personally am not a big fan of. But for others who do enjoy the repeatative and, well, boring pace that this game offers, get this game, but for those who like fun, look elsewhere.

The Best
The best Gameboy game that I have ever played is Star Wars Episode I Racer. It is extremely addictive, and quite fun. The little rumble pack included is quite cool. This game takes a while to beat, and it is entertaining to beat Sebulba at the end. The variety of its graphics make this game worth its price.

Awesome GameBoy Game!
This is the best Game Boy Color game I have ever played in my life! The graphics are excellent, considering the graphical limits placed on the system. The sound is awesome, and I like the rumble pack that is included with the game. It has a great replay value, and the game play never really gets boring. The only thing I had trouble with was the tight turns, but even here it wasn't really a problem. Anyone who is a Star Wars fan, looking for a good GBC game, or buying for little kids should buy this game!

You Should Be able to...
Pod racing is a good game because you have a good veiw ,and it has good graphics.The problem is you cannot turn well at all. Some turns it is impossible to make! Also, you can't get power ups. I would not reccomend this game to anyone who just likes to play the game for the fun, and not other things like graphics and speed of the game.

Good game. I like it. Great game for all ages. If you like to race this would be a great game for you. The graphics are AWESOME!!! If you had to get a racing game this would be it. My favorite toy
This figure is my favorite toy becase he is durable you can bend him any way you want his detail is perfect and his orngesh strap is relly blue i recommend this toy to any lord of the rings fan ecspcialy if aragorn is your favorite charecter

Not Worth It
I actually got this toy on clearance at Meijer for $2.30 - there were tons of them left because Aragorn's nose and face have black marks all over - like a toddler painted his features, and almost all of his swords were bent like a banana. I do not reccommend paying full price - check out your local supermarket for a clearance one.

This Toy Does not Match the Picture Online!
Hello All,

I just got my 12" Aragorn Doll and there are several probelms.
First, the Aragorn doll I received looks nothing like the picture online. The clothes are completely different colors. There are splothces of paint on the dolls clothing and strings hanging from the doll in various locations, I think these are manufacturing mistakes and not an effect to make the doll look more rugged and lifelike (CHEAP)! Finally, the doll does look really, really, really cheap.

Second, the doll looks nothing like Aragoron from the movie. I do not recommend this product.

However, I intend check out the smaller 6" figures to see if they are of a higher quality.

series 4 candyman
so i would like to start off by saying that i never used to like the movie maniacs. but when i started my horror collection i had stuff from neca and sideshow the 18 inch jason,18inch pinhead and my 7 inch freddy vs jason figures along with my sleepy hollow figures from mcfarlane.the neca figures made me want to check out the movie maniac line so i got the terminator series 4 and i really loved that figure then i started looking at the candyman figure. now i dont really like the candyman movies but i love tony todd as actor i think he is awesome and actually i think this candyman figure is really good his face looks awesome and he has some really good stances and he looks awesome next to my terminator and freddy vs jason figures.

Candyman
Any toy that features an exposed ribcage is far more than all right in my book! I would give this to my fiance instead of a ring if she wouldn't kill me for it!

I own many mcfarlane collectibles and am very fond of them all. They are very intricately detailed.

"Tony Todd in Toy Form? That's Terrifyingly Terrific!"
That's right, McFarlane finally gets the license to do Candyman [albeit from the direct-to-video Candyman 3, starring Baywatch babe Donna D'errico] As far as Clive Barker movie properties go, McFarlane hasn't had much luck with them, but here he succeeds with a decent head sculpt for Todd, and nails the whole exposed rib cage look under the trenchcoat. The supernatural and spectral Nazi assassin Kroenen
When Kroenen showed upon the prologue of the "Hellboy" film, dressed up in his Nazi uniform but also wearing a gas mask, I found myself thinking, when was the last time we had a really good Nazi villain in a movie (I going back to Laurence Olivier in "Marathon Man," the movie that proved what you always suspected was true: your dentist is a Nazi). I was a bit disappointed that the 8" Kroenen action figure from Mezco Toyz was not decked out in his Nazi garb, but I have to admit that for most of "Hellboy" he is dressed as you see him here.

The Kroenen figure comes with several points of articulation and is as poseable as the Abe Sapien figure, and has two detachable double-bladed baton-swords of his own invention that can be attached (although the end effect is a different look from what we see in "Hellboy"). It would be nice if you could pop out Kroenen's key from the implant in his chest, but that would be a bit much for a figure this small (there are 12" figures coming out later this summer). The figure is still wearing elaborately detailed armor and gives you Hellboy and Abe Sapien figures somebody to fight.

There is also a Rasputin figure that includes the infant Hellboy that popped out of the portal back in 1944. The Mezco quartet are an above average set of movie tie-ins for both long time fans and new converts to the world of Mike Mignola's Dark Horse comic book created by Guillermo del Toro's film. ... THE GREAT TOY
This toy is the best. My nephew luvs him to death. He has like four of him because he luvs him soooo much.i wish i could tell u more about my nephew and i but i cant this review is on our favorite toy. Well i got to go now. We will try to keep in writing..bye now

Nice looking toy
At first I didn't think this toy looked as good as the Wolverine toy from the original X-Men movie, but when I juxtaposed the two, I realized this toy's remarkable semblance of Hugh Jackman. It is also very poseable- "super poseable" even- allowing for a good looking display toy. The accessory is a bit pointless because they removed the Danger Room scene from X2, and it doesn't do anything except rotate Wolverine. The toy is good for its purpose, though. Pick it up if you're after X-Men toys.

Super Cool Woverine
This Wolverine toy is way cool and fun. He looks just like he does in X-Men 2. I bought this toy because I like Wolverine in the movies and my friend got one like it and it persuaded me to buy one. You can do a lot of stuff from the movies with this action figure. If you like X-Men or know someone who does, this is a must for you or them.

GUESS WHOS BACK BUB
This is the best XMEN2 figure your gonna get.the expression on him are great.His claws are wicked.The durability is perfecto and i recomend you buy this figure bub.

Xmen lover
This is one of the best action figures of the movie wolverine. It is fun for little kids and a great action figure for collectors. This action figure is pretty durable and you can pose him in tons of different ways. He comes with a danger room base that rotates like he is slashing his claws. The face even looks like the real thing. This is an excellent toy for all kids. All together I would give it a 5. I recomend getting this one when you can, especially if you have seen the movie. ... Good try....
With the scanning technology these figures actually turned out better than the film. Ron Perlman can be proud of his figure. Articulation is good and the large rubbery cloak & staff help the figure stand up [which is needed when it comes to AA figures].

His name is actually Shinzon...
But that's okay. The figure pictured above is actually the main "villain" from the movie, named Shinzon.

After being blown away by the movie, I had had a passing thought of collecting the action figures, but I never really said "I'm going to do it" because from my experience, movie action figures never really look much like the actors they're supposed to portray.

However, as I was doing Christmas shopping for my older sister who is an avid Star Trek fan, I came across the Shinzon figure and what immediately grabbed me was the how closely the action figure resembled the actor! As a result, I ended up buying Jean-Luc Picard for my sister and Shinzon for myself.

Here's my yays! :

1) They DO look like the actors - very much so!
2) Their bodies are jointed so you can pose them quite a bit
3) They are sturdy-made

And nays! :

1) The paint job for the most part is really meticulous and detailed, however, the manufacturer could have been a little more careful with the hands...
2) The figures are sturdy, but I'd still be careful of the hands

And if you let your imagination fly, this toy can be quite educational! ^_^

Awesome
Frodo is the coolest Hobbit in all Middle-Earth adventures. Cannot belive he defeated Sauron. Wish i was a Hobbit like him so we can be best Hobbit pals. Elijah Wood played as him in the book, movie and video game(return of the king). (Gasp) is that Sting which frodo used to fight evil?

A nice looking figure and a good face sculpt, but disappointing in some ways. Foremost is that it does not stand up on its own, as the legs are oddly formed in a sort of "action" pose that, despite bending the joints, never lend themselves to both feet flat at once. Thus the figure ends up bent forward oddly or some such by the time it quits tipping over. Still and all, a nice addition to a collection if you just have something to sort of prop him a bit. I'd not recommend this for a lot of active play, but rather a display piece. ... Read more
