Fun to figure out.
The puzzle was fun to figure out and put together blindly. I was diasppointed because my little UV flashlight didn't work so I couldn't see if I solved the puzzle correctly. I had to exchange it at Walmart before I could get the final answer. ... Read more

Wonderful Toy
Summer is the best time of year to observe insects at work--but this top notch puzzle keeps children learning about insects all year long. Fun to play with, a great learning tool, well made. Your first efforts as a paleontologist have been wildly successful. After laboring tirelessly to excavate your find from the site (i.e., opening the box), you have been rewarded with the complete skeletal remains of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. The 51 pieces of this Jurassic puzzle are spread out before you and, with the help of your excavation site map, you carefully begin the process of reconstructing this notorious prehistoric carnivore. Made from Baltic birch, the interlocking pieces in this puzzle kit require no hardware or glue to assemble. An excellent exercise in shape recognition and spatial reasoning, assembling the puzzle requires patience and careful attention to detail and, possibly, the assistance of an adult. But the rewards are great as you transform a pile of scattered "bones" into an impressive model of a Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton. Once the puzzle is assembled, you can leave it standing as a display piece, or disassemble it for future use. A wooden "rock hammer" and sandpaper have been included to aid in the assembly process, but you may pick up a few splinters putting this wooden puzzle together if you're not careful. Construction Puzzle by Lights, Camera, Interaction
I purchased this puzzle along with the 48 piece Dinosaur puzzle for my son, Bailey, who just turned three. He needed a challenge and this puzzle was the perfect choice. Our biggest mistake - not taking the puzzles with us on a recent vacation. During the middle of the trip he became "homesick" for his puzzles! My only concern in recommending this puzzle to others is the fact that they are somewhat fragile - which is exactly why I chose not to bring them with us on the vacation. The first time I took the puzzle apart for Bailey the paper picture which is glued to the wood tore in more than one spot! I had to use a hot glue gun to repair the pieces that tore. So, in terms of durability, I rated these puzzles a three. They are challenging for a three year old and will keep them busy for quite some time. I'd estimate that it takes Bailey ten minutes to complete this puzzle. ... Read more
