1-0 out of 5 stars Don't Bother
We were looking for a push tricycle or bigwheel for our 18 month old.Don't bother with this one.It took me over an hour to put together (and I am the fix-it person in our home)and I ended up making a mistake. When my husband got home, it took him over an hour to get the piece off with brute strength (not kidding) and reassembled. It didn't help that the part was clear and therefore I didn't even see it.Once we started trying to use it, it was too clunky. As the parent, the only control you have is pushing, so if your child, like ours cannot steer yet... you can't really use it for walks. In addition, the height of the canopy/handle is not adjustable - so when using it to push - it was too short for us.If you are under 5'6 maybe it will work for you.My husband after playing with our child for 10 minutes complained of a sore back.We are returning it today.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Ride!
This was an absolutely great gift we got! My son got it for his second birthday. It took me about an hour to put together. Nothing too serious, but a second pair of hands was needed to put the wheels on. (It recommends this in the directions anyway.) Very easy for a child to maneuver, (steering wheel makes smooth turns), and the handle is perfect for a helping push if they can't pedal yet. Fun design, and cool sound effects. My only problem is I have two boys and only one car! I highly recommend this to any liitle boy or girl who loves to "drive" around.

1-0 out of 5 stars cheap!
my daughter got this for her 1st birthday after seriously thinking of returning this item I ended up putting it together.Nightmare!Just a pain to get together.Too many pieces..directions not exactly clear..there is barely a bounce...and doesn't even ride good...I knew I should have just returned it and got something else because after 1 week I put it out in the trash..Im just glad it wasn't my money that I spend. ... A wonderful first ride-on for your toddler, the Little Ms.Rescue Rider Toddler Activity Walker is attractively styled for thepint-sized heroine in your family. Loaded with eye-catching details, including official-looking decals and a play phone that makes realisticdialing noises, the Little Ms. Rescue Rider is made of durable plasticand comes with a removable walker bar mounted behind the rider's seat. The front console is equipped with a clicking gearshift and turningkey, and a squeaking horn is mounted on the center of the toddler-sizedsteering wheel. Toddlers can scoot around the playroom by taking holdof the steering wheel and pushing with their feet; parents can helplittle ones out by pushing on the walker bar as they ride. Toddlers canalso use the Rescue Rider as a walker by pushing the rider along frombehind while holding on to the walker bar for balance. Along with awide storage compartment under the seat, the Rescue Rider comes with afront storage box that can be detached and used as a portable carryingcase. --Chris Burns ... Read more

A great little toy
I'm a mommy of triplets who recently turned 2. They recieved tons of different ride on walkers between their 1st and 2nd birthday. This is a great walker! I have one of these and two of the boys models for my boy boy girl triplets. I would highly reccomend it! Especially since it's only 12 bucks.

Great Toy for the Price
I was pleasently suprised when we got this ride on two weeks ago. I read all of the reviews and figured it would be something I would end up sending back. However we love this car. My 15 month old daughter rides it everywhere inside and outside. We love that the seat lifts up to store our purses and babies. We also love that the wheels turn so we don't have to constantly turn it when my daughter runs into a dead end like we did with the little tikes ride on. Anyway, this is a really good buy.

Daughter Loves it
My daughter loves this toy. She finds it easy to get on and off unlike some ride on toys and she loves the phone and storage compartment under the seat (where she hides her "treasures") I think this is a great inexpensive ride on toy!

Not impressed
I guess for the money you spend it is okay, but nothing on the bus makes any fun noises, the cell phone won't stay on and it tips over very easily. If I had it to do over again, I would spend more for something nicer.

Fine toy for the price
I bought this toy for my 18 month old daughter, and she loves it...she is 21 months now and still uses it...granted, it's not the best toy in the world, but you get what you pay for...it does the job and she seems happy. It has never broken on her, and she has been rough with it...I even have family who bought it for their own kids after seeing how much she liked it. It is hard on the parents back if you try to bend down to push her on it...wish it had a long handle...but other than that, it's fine! ... Read more

Editorial Review

This molded plastic tricycle has a pink body with white knobbywheels, a yellow seat, and a yellow basket. For children who are new totrike riding, this is an excellent starter bike. When little ones gettired of pedaling, parents can keep them going by pushing them alongusing the handle on the back of the bike. Kids can put their feet onthe footrest while parents push. Hollow wheels make this bikelightweight, and that helps children get the pedals spinning andthemselves going. The bike has a maximum weight of 50 pounds. --Lee Strucker ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars BUYER BEWARE
My daughter received this as a birthday gift. There is 1 major design flaw that cannot be stressed enough....the foot rest will not stay put, causing your child's feet to be run over. It has been a daily struggle and just when my daughter has figured out how to keep her feet safe, the handle broke. It is only attached with a plastic peg in the middle and was very difficult to manipulate when it did work. You definately get what you pay for. The German ones are definately constructed better(we were there for 2 years, and the kids lived on them, kind of like it was their stroller). Please be careful with this trike.

Not worth it
This was given as a present to our 2 year old daughter on her birthday. But she's about to be 3 now & still cannot pedal too well. The tires being made of plastic don't run too well on the pavement. I would advice against this trike. Not a good buy.

Proceed with caution!!!!
I puchased this bike for my 18month old daughter since she was facinated with my son's trike. I figured I could push her with the foot rests until she was able to reach the pedals. Boy was I wrong! The footrest constantly falls off and her foot gets caught under the wheels. Every time she go near it she winds up in tears. It's a cheap product with a bad design that could really cause serious injury. Mine is headed back to the store to be replaced by a Kiddi-o trike made by kettler.

Caution
Be careful the footrest keeps collapsing and causes childs feet to go under and get stuck.

Yuck
I bought this for my daughter for her 2nd birthday, and 6 months later she still hates it. She is learning how to pedal, so that isn't a problem. She is now 36" tall, and still cannot reach. The problem lies in the fact that this toy is so far to the ground that her feet do not stay on the pedals when she tries to turn it. Needless to say, I end up pushing her and trying to manuever the trike along winding sidewalks because she refuses to turn the handlbars for fear her feet will fall off the pedals. She barely wants to ever ride it.
As far as putting the trike together, it was pretty easy. No problems that I encountered.
I got her a trike that sits just a little higher up and she loves it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Product!
We live on a small private drive and have 2 little kids. I worry because my kids like to ride their bikes on the lane. Since there are only 3 houses on this street it is quite safe but you never know. By putting this little man out at the end of our driveway it alerts our neighbors and any delivery people that kids might be out. It is very visible; you can't miss it. It is definitely worth every penny.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Mom's Best Friend
This is a very handy item for every yard. Displaying it will keep your kids safe from those speeding cars and let you stop worrying. For parents with children under thirteen this is a great everyday thing for when your kids are playing outside. It will become very handy if you live on a street corner where cars are turning or near a busy road. It is also useful if you want to have a party or other outdoor event where kids will be running around. Drivers will love it too! You should consider getting this item if there are constantly alot of kids in your yard. This is also useful if you have pets outside.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you have children, you need these!
I bought these for my son's birthday party which was the day before Easter. Since we were having an egg hunt outside, I was VERY concerned about the number of children outside and since we have a corner lot, I wanted some sort of warning to oncoming motorists. So, I bought two of these signs and were they the hit of the day! They work so very, very well, they're extremely brightly colored so they're very visible from all angles. Plus, the red flag the little boy waves is an extra extension for folks to see. We have a couple of speedsters around our neighborhood and these guys provide just enough peace of mind whenever we're outside with out little one. He's never out of sight but still, if you have careless drivers around, these guys are awesome!

5-0 out of 5 stars KidAlert by step 2
We live on a side street off of a main road. Because it is a rather long and straight road, cars have a tendancy to speed. The police refuse to post a speed limit lower than 30 mph. There are more than a dozen very young children within a span of 10 houses. We have all purchase one or two of these KidAlerts. IT HAS TRULY WORKED TO SLOW DOWN THE TRAFFIC. We put them out when the kids go out and always make sure we bring them in when the kids come in even if they are just coming in for lunch.

5-0 out of 5 stars great idea
i have a 5 year old who loves to play outside and cross the street to visit nieghbors. i got one to slow down traffic on our busy street. unfortunately the next day after putting it up someone stole it. make sure to secure it in place if you get one. i assume it is just to tempting for the teenage population. ... SOOOO CUTE & LOTS OF FUN!
WE LOVE THIS TOY! My son got this for his 1st birthday from a co-worker of mine. As soon as I got it into the house and out of the box, my 4 year old thought it was for him! Both of my boys LOVE this Tigger! Really cute songs that you can rock too. We haven't tried it with the wheels yet, but they tuck up nicely. This toy is soo cute and super sturdy! Very well made! This has been lots of fun for my son. Lots of cute pictures I have taken with him on it...occasionally Tigger does buck him off! ha ha!
It's also fun for my 4 year old too! This is one toy that will be used for lots of years and worth every bit of the price! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Cute pony...
We bought this for our year old son and he seems to really like it.Even though he's too young to rock on his own, with our help he likes to ride this toy. And to the previous reviewer, to change the batteries, there is a little velcro closing underneath the area on top of the head.If you open that, the battery compartment is there!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Daughter Loves Her Pony!
We bought this pony for my 18 month old daughter and for about a month she was scared to death of it. But now she loves it BUT after a month the batteries have worn out and we can't figure out where the barreries are so don't throw away your directions! Other than that I would buy again.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not so great to put together
This toy looked like a great idea for my son. However, I just got done writing the manufacturer to find out how to solve the fact that I can't get all of the screws to stay in.They simply aren't long enough.Plus, fitting the top part into the rocking base was more than a little difficult. The concept was easy but the amount of strength and ingenuity required to put them together was almost too much!I had to use a screw driver to help ease the parts together--you'll know what I'm talking about when/if you buy it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic toy for a young toddler
My son got this rocking horse for Christmas last year... and at only 7 months he loved it!He needed to be held in place, but he just loved to hear the horse sing and clomp his hooves. Now at almost 18 months, he still loves to ride it.He has been able to get on and off the horse by himself for a few months now and he can also find the buttons to make the horse sing. While he still adores this toy, I can't imagine a three year old enjoying this as the manufacturer recommends. My son is already trying to rock this pony beyond its capabilities. So I say if you're in the market for a rocking horse, this is a great one... but I think the suggested age is way off the mark.

5-0 out of 5 stars buy this pony!!
My baby loves this pony!we saw it in a department store and he bounced around and laughed at it, so when we came home i went on TRU and ordered it.It was supposed to be for xmas but he loves it so much!he played with it for hours while it was still in the box!!!seriously, any toddler would love it. ... What it is
Somebody wrote a review wanting to know what this is. It is an additional seat that you can attach to the adjustable kettrikes(type of tricycle), so you can have two children, one behind the other, on the same tricycle. The child that sits in this insert will use the original kettrikes pedals and handle bars and the second child will sit in the original kettrike seat and use the foot rests and the handle bars on this insert. I hope this is helpful and a little less confusing then the description given on the webpage.

Questionable
Well, this is really a complaint. The KTI is really neat looking and seems to be fun but as far as knowing exactly what it is... I don't. I was looking to find out some information on what and where I could find an description of this item, or what it is used for. I couldn't.... Before I buy this item, I would like to know more about it please.

Editorial Review

Although the maker calls this a boy's trike, we think little girls will enjoy itjust as much. It's made of cheerfully (nongender-biased) colored plastic and has largewheels and a wide wheelbase for stability. It can be ridden under pedal power or inpush-pull mode with an adult at the handle--there's a retractable footrest for resting feet. Theadjustable seat can be fixed in one of three positions, allowing for more leg room. Abonus: there's a little red basket in front that's perfect for holding a snack, a favorite toy,or a secret stash on the way to a private hideaway. (Maximum weight 50 pounds) --Rachel Radway ... 2-0 out of 5 stars thanks
i read the reviews on this page, and having a destructo-son, i decided to purchase a different item. he loves riding toys and is very rough, so thank you for your input, so i didn't have to make the same mistake as some of you.

2-0 out of 5 stars Varrooom, Varrooom
This one is best for older/tall toddlers. We got this trike when my son was 19 months. He never learned to keep feet on the movable pegs, I never use the push bar. Now 23 months he is happy to 'ride on' without touching the pegs or pedals. He trundles around the yard going "Varrooom, Varrooom". At 32" tall he still can't reach the pedals. Perhaps he can use it as a true trike in a few more months. An adjustable seat would really help this design.

2-0 out of 5 stars Falls apart after a short time
I bought this for my 18 month old son so that he could learn to pedal and steer while I pushed. However, it didn't work that way.

The pedals were too small and hard for him to push. He was able to go faster pushing the ground then pushing the pedals, despite the fact that his feet would get run over. The bar that they are supposed to be able to rest their feet on was too far back to be comfortable for him, and his feet kept slipping off. But when he was pushing it, the bar was too far forward and would impede his progress.

The handle was not strong enough to steer the trike with, and it broke. It is not attatched to its socket, so it has insufficient leverage. In addition, not being attached to the tricyle allowed my son to take it out of the socket and swing it around and hit things with it. Also, the front forks broke off and is now a junk collecter in the garage, because replaceing parts is not as easy as it sounds with toys "R" us.

All in all, I was very disappointed.

2-0 out of 5 stars I bought two
I bought this toy for my son. He loved it so much I bought the girl color for his sister. She is a little young for it but she will grow into it. The toy has lasted a long time and held up well. So it will last long enough for his sister to have years of fun on.

2-0 out of 5 stars Fun for Years
My girls had this toy and it lasted for 3 years. They recieved them on their first birthday and road it until they were ready for big girl bikes. I could control them when they were little and they loved to be pushed and then when they learned to push it, make it go with their feet and then pedal, they had loads of fun. ... Read more

My Own Car!
My son started riding his go cart by himself at approximately 14 months old. It is super simple for toddlers because there are no pedals- a simple push of the button on the steering wheel will get them moving. The only con I have is that is it small..they will grow out of this quickly. It is hard for them to get in and out due to the steering wheel. I don't forsee any four year old being able to ride in this. The perfect age would be 14 months to 2 1/2 at the most. My son is almost two now - he still enjoys it.. but he will ride the bigger jeep power wheels more often than this one.

Not for above average sizes
We bought this for my son's first birthday and he fit in it perfectly. He rode around in the house ok, but you need a wide area to turn around so he rammed the walls often. He will be 2 in july and he can no longer fit. His feet hang over unless he bends his legs til they hit the steering wheel, and he doesn't have room to press the buttons, but if your child is average sized or smaller this is a great toy, unfortunatly we used it less than 1 year and now have to upgrade to something else.

My son loves it
We bought this for my son for Christmas...he was 18 months old then. He loves this toy. The only problem was the button he has to hold down to make it run. If he didn't keep his little finger on the button, it wouldn't go. His grandfather rigged up a circle of cardboard and duct taped it to the button so it would constantly be pushed down. Since it doesn't go that fast, we are able to walk with him so there is no worries. Now that he can keep it going, he loves it more.

Great First Power Wheels
We bought this for our son's first birthday and he still really enjoys it. It is low to the ground and easy to get in and out of. I appreciate the slow speed (I'm an ER nurse, I don't want to spend my day off at work!). It moves well in the house, on the driveway and across the grass. It has fun sound effects and was easy to learn how to operate. I think it was a reasonable price and I can't wait for the weather to warm up so we can go outside again (furniture has taken a beating).

Age Wrong, Great Cart
The manufacturers recommended age on the box (and in toysrus store) is 12-36 months 40lbs max. I don't know what possesed them to put 4 yrs+ on this site. My son is a year old, big for his age and fits perfectly. He hasn't learned to push the button yet (just got it) but thinks its great fun for mommy to bend over, push the button and walk with him. Its one button control, can't go over 2 miles an hour (brisk walk is 4 mph), hard to flip since its so low. Its a great beginners go cart! ... Read more

Awesome car
My mom and dad bought me my Kettcar when I was 3 years old and I have had a lot of fun riding it. I am now 7 years old. I liked how it was like a real car. Mom and dad liked not having to recharge a battery all of the time. It will be sad when I get too big for it. My friends all want to ride it.

A Great Buy for old fashioned KID POWERED FUN!!!!!!!!!
This Kettcar rides like a race car! My son tried this in the store at three, began peddling and was going fairly fast then pulled on the brake. He let out a squeal of delight that put a smile on everyones face! I was going to spend [$$$] dollars on a powered car, but this was surely the favorite of all the kids in the store that day! When we got it home it was the HIT! of the neiborhood. All the kids were fighting over it(in a yard full of bikes, wagons, scooters, power ride-ons,etc). The bigger kids really got it going fast! I can see he will not out grow this car for a while. ... Read more
