Energon Perceptor
This set plaes in conparison to the old one. They are ugly, flopy, and undetailed Im much better of with my CD exclusive street action team

(BTW im15 not 12 i dont have time to register)

A new perception of Perceptor
Not content to do a mere repaint of the Street Action Mini-Con team from the Armada line, rename the robots, and then repackage the whole shebang under the Energon brand, Takara/Hasbro took a different tack here by almost completely redesigning the pieces in this set, leaving little resemblance to the Armada versions except for the names. The resulting reboot managed to pull off the night-impossible task of making the new toys look cooler than the old ones, as well as making it one of the few pieces in the Energon line that I actually like. Also improved somewhat is the degree of articulation (poseability) in both the single pieces (Grindor the submersible/hovercraft-looking thingy, SureShock the four-wheeled ATV, and High Wire the motocross dirt bike) and the big piece they combine into (Perceptor)-- although the improvement is marginal. The new version of Perceptor is more visually appealing to me, and has a slightly greater range of poseability than his previous self. The new big guy also has less 'clutter' (robot parts) in the way, allowing him a greater range of movement on top of the slightly superior articulation.

On the downside, Energon Perceptor set isn't quite as durable as his immediate predecessor. There were a couple occasions where parts popped off as I was transforming the little boogers (please note that parts of this toy were designed to detach if excess force is applied, and can easily be reattached), something I never encountered with the Armada Street Action set. Then there's Perceptor's elbows, which bend in the opposite direction elbows normally bend. I'm also not too hip with High Wire's vehicular mode, which tends to 'misbehave'.

I'm also not too keen on the company the big guy and his components are keeping. Personally, I think they should ditch those annoying kids if they know what's good for them. Preferably smack in the middle of an intense firefight, if you know what I mean. And finally, I'm gettin' really sick and tired of Perceptor's incessant stories about how he was a microscope in a previous life. I swear to God, if he does his little Shirley MacLaine thing in my presence one more freakin' time, they're gonna need a microscope to identify his remains!

Editorial Review

The folks behind Gundam build-it-yourself action figures have made it easy for any modeler to get in on the fun by creating models suitable for any level of time commitment. This level 1 kit allows builders to construct a 5-inch Burning Gundam (don't worry, Burning is just a name, we wouldn't sell you actual flaming toys) in a minimal amount of time. Once he's been put together, Burning Gundam has the ability to pose in a number of positions, but should not be lumped in with the G.I. Joe class of action figures. Hurled across a room, he'll shatter to bits. But put up on a shelf and arranged carefully, he's a fun addition to a shelf, desk, or tabletop. Detailed instructions are included and no glue is necessary. --Charlie Williams ... Read more

Fun to play with when bored.
The Burning Gundam Lv.1 Gundam Model kit is fun if u like to build. It is good on a rainy day.I am jinxed however, whenever I build a model I get cut.Maybe u won't.

A opinion from a expirenced Gundam Model Builder.
This Kit is a fairly nice kit. While yes some of the stuff on it cant be "flimsy" this is due to the nature of the item in question. I would like to start by saying that THIS IS A MODEL KIT, NOT A TOY. Even though it says "action figure model kit" on the side of the box, it is by no means something you can play with like a common action figure. If your looking for a action figure look for the Burning Gundam MSiA (Mobile Suit in Action)figure. With that said, lets begin. It comes molded in about for or five different colors. This for a Novice Modeler cuts down on the amount of painting required. In fact you wouldnt even really have to paint this kit if you use the supplied stickers. Aditionally this is a good kit to start a new modeler out on. All the pieces are snap fit and require no glue. The instructions are VERY easy to understand. Now as to the cons. First off a few of the scales of the parts are off, things like the "skirt" armor seem a little too large in comparison (this is to accomodate the articulation of the legs, so it can be overlooked) the PC (PolyCap - Little rubber pieces that are used in the joints to give the kit movement) Hands look a little cheezy, and if you plan to paint the kit, the paint wont stick to the hands unless you use a special type.
OVERALL: A good Kit if your looking for something to quickly put together, Start a Novice Modeler on, Or are a Fan of G Gundam.
READY....SET....GOOOOO!

This hand of mine is burning red to type how good this is
This gundam is great, I mean just great. I got it at fred meyer and was so excited to put it together, I ran to the car and when I got home I ran to my desk to put it together. It took me about 40 minutes. I would actually give the durability a lower rating because the left sword holster broke off but since it fell 3 feet I left the rating at 5 stars.

Burning Gundam level1
This gundam isn't sterdy, the pieces break off, and then you have to return it and get nother one. All i can say is buy the other level 1 gundam, this isn't worth your money

Disapointed
I thought that the modelm kit would be better, but it turned out to be a total baby toy. I like the level 4 model kit better. So if you are getting a gundam for the first time, don't get this one get another level 4 gundam. It may look hard, but it is not. ... Read more

You're most likely to find Mr. Fixit barreling around the Botties Pit,giving Hela a hand with her robot repairs. But then again, that's what thosefour fast wheels are for--along with his detachable, spring-loaded tool kit. Mr.Fixit's torso and legs can pivot in any direction, and if you press the buttonjust below his head, you'll hear his voice and sound effects ("Precision laserinitiated!"). This 8-inch-tall, all-plastic bot is a lot of fun for recreatingscenes from the show, but you can also program him to battle other robots byusing Cubix Cards--Mr. Fixit comes with two, and you can buy more in BoosterPacks. --Paul Hughes ... Very good Homage to G1 Inferno
While the Energon show may be god awful, thankfully the toys are really cool. And Inferno is a prime example of this. He's very similar to his G1 persona, except he's much more poseable. He's also rather easy to transform. Highly reccomended

Really, really, really neat toy!!!
It's a neat toy. It transforms well, it powerlinks well. It is very articulated. He looks just like he does on the show. This is definitely one of the best transformers I've ever played with! If you are looking for a transformer with a lot of moveable parts and easy transformation this is a good toy for you!

Reviewing TF Engergon Inferno
I'm a transfan from the 80's G1 era who has a son that has been getting into transformers. Between the two of us we've been building our own collections and having a ton of fun. Ok enough about me and my son, lets talk about Energon Inferno, this guy is really cool, and fun to play with. I have three boys and two of them are twin 4 year olds who are very tough on everything so when I say I found Inferno to be very durable, I mean it. As a child from the G1 era I remember how easy they (the G1 TF's) were to break. I love the fact that the newest generations of transformers have "stress points" that are designed to let the toys peices seperate if to much stress is applied to them, the real kicker is that they aren't broken when that happens, you just snap the loosed peice right back on! As I said Inferno is really cool in all three, yes I said three of his modes. 1: he's a neat looking fire truck, 2: would be his robot mode(really awesome) 3: and last would be his totally bad powerlinx mode where he can linx with any other Energon Deluxe figure(Rodimus, Hot Shot, or Prowl). He can be either the leg or torso section of any Powerlinx combo(looks totally cool when powerlinxed with Rodimus)! He's definatley not a good one for Ole Meg's to mess with.

I highly recommend this guy for anyones collection.

Transformers Energon: Looking to be not too shabby
Here it is, the Transformers Energon Inferno figure. I was not disappointed when I opened him up. In fact, I was immensley impressed. This figure is very cool and bears a slight resemblance to two characters from the G1 toyline: Ironhide and the original G1 Inferno. As far as design goes for this figure, it was done very nicely-a transformation style similar to G1 but with the great poseability of the later Beast Wars, Robots In Disguise, and Armada figures. Also, the fire extinguisher/cannon that is mounted on his arm can be removed if you do not find it to your liking and can be mounted on the back of his shoulder or be used as a hand held weapon, a nice feature IMO. Although I haven't tested it yet (and I don't want to), it seems that this figure is very durable- the plastic is very thick and tough. All in all, I highly recommend this figure to all and is a nice addition to the Transformers line. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Thanks to big clunky feet and incredible articulation, the RX-79(G) Gundam GM Head action figure will stand no matter how you plunk it down, even when leaning awkwardly to the side or perched with its legs spread apart. The figure is detailed right down to the pattern on the red soles of its feet, stands 4.5 inches tall, and is articulated at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, legs, knees, and ankles. Made of soft gray plastic with dark-gray accents, RX-79 has much bigger legs and feet than arms and hands, but can still easily grip its weapons, which include two blaster rifles, two pink light sabers, and a tiny blue and gray shield. RX-79 also comes with a backpack that has straps which loop through its shoulders, although the figure isn't quite as steady on its feet when wearing the backpack. Best of all, most of RX-79's many parts can be snapped apart and then mixed and matched with other similar figures. The only problem: once you start the dismantling there had better be a kid around to show you how to put this poor guy back together. --David Morel ... Read more

One of the best UC action figures
This is a good action figure as it demonstrates how alike the Gundam(G)and GM(G)are alike. It is also educational by just figuring out how to put the backpack straps on(well only if you don't look at that picture). It's durable as long as you don't take the limbs on and off alot. Then they start to fall off if you touch them.I also like how it does not come with to many weapons.Except that I would of liked to have a missile launcher and 180mm cannon.Even if Karen never really used them.

A Gundam Collector
This is one of the best figures made for the 08 ms team series. The gm head figure is very durable if you're a person who likes to play with there figures this is the one for you.It is incredibly durable i've dropped off of my dresser counter etc.And it has never broken. This is the perfect figure to play with.It is not much to look at alone but if you have the rx-79(g)gundam and the ez8 it is the final edition. So if you like to play or display you should buy this gundam figure.

Sick'em boy
This toy is fun to play with but you have to be careful or it'll break.I think it's educational because you can put it together and and take it apart so if you get any kind of model you'll be able to build it quicker.

This toy kiks ...
This toy rule its so fun ...

It's the imfamous GM Head *Snicker*
So here you have the imfamous "GM Head". Only if you watched the 08th MS Team would you understand that this is more of an insult than a title. Where Karen Joshua's RX-79's head was destroyed in battle, there was nothing to use but a Gundam Mass Production type (GM) head. (NOTE: GM's were not near as powerful as regular gundams because they were mass produced) This is not something she's necessicarily proud of.

Anyway, the toy itself is a lot of fun. I still play with action figures and I'm *counts*... 14 years old. Bottom line, its a Gundam Figure, so of course its fun.
Education?! I don't really think that Education should be one's criteria when choosing a toy, but if you must know, Gundam figures help you learn robotics, so :P
Durability: Most of the figure is made from a PVC-like plastic, so unless you try to cut it with garden scheers, don't worry about it breaking. I would be a bit carful with the joints, as they are made of standard plastic, and could break if handeled with absurd roughness.

All in all, if you liked the 08th MS Team OVA, and actually KNOW what the GM Head is, then this toy is great for you.
Just as a side note though, it looks a lot cooler if you've also got the rest of the 08th team (RX-78(G); RX-79(G) Ez8). ... Read more

Speedy car, small arms, big legs helloooo Hot Shot
I know you wouldn't know it from the title but I love this figure. I have the Armada Hot Shot and I compare them and...
Well where's dah' beef, man? His arms got a serious downgrade and so did his head. I guess he's supposed to be ten years older but man I didn't think Hot Shot was old enough to start shrinking, haha. Okay on a serious note, this is obviously the best PLer in the whole Energon line. Inferno has crappy transformation, Ironhide and Jetfire have bad plastic and dull colors, Rodimus had poor joints so he'll just fall over after a while and Prowl's "ears" are stuck in an annoying way. Well I guess I'll Start with the Vehicular mode, It's a neat little sports car. Cool points: clear plastic headlights, clear plastic windshield, opening doors, opening hood, engine with an autobot symbol on it and a well hidden head (a commodity of this Energon line). Wierd points: gun is not at all well hidden (so much for robots in disguise). Ugly Points: Strange floor protruding beyond the doors edge and looking into the windshield and seeing his torso and finding out he's actually a really ugly converible :>. When you look at the front of his car, he has a wierd little face with a mustache, okay Im really straying from the point. The transformation gets really annoying becuz you can compare it to Megatron and Jetfire and it's incredibley similiar. And his robot mode ive talked about but I'll continue for the sake of the consumer. Cool Points: Cool sniper gun, cool door panels, and uh that's about it. Weird points: Cat-like head, strange mouth-thing and very buff legs. Ugly Points: Incredible no buffnes on arms and chest (for being a sports car he looks like he does a lot of running, hehe) and his incredible necklessness. Now for PL mode with Inferno. PL Inferno: Cool Points: Lots an lots of guns, the red and yellow coloration are fitting for a fire-tamer. Wierd Points: Hot Shot looks almost exactly the same as Robot mode in lower body mode. Ugly Points: Inferno gives the duo a strange upper body bulge. PL Hot Shot: Cool Points: Buff legs become buff arms, and he looks pretty darn cool. Wierd Points: The scope on Hot Shot's sniper isn't on the right side to be used correctly, legs have no poseasbility. Ugly Points: Hot Shot still has no neck, sort of skirtish bulge on his lower half and you notice that his guy has ten wheels, woah. Well I'm sure I had more to say but I have no idea what it is now. Oh well I'll mention it on my Inferno review.

Energon Hotshot's Review
This toy is a lot of fun when you have the inferno transformer with it, but without it, it's a lot less fun. I rated the education vlue a 1 because all it's really teaching is how to move things around. This toy isn't that durable, I was transforming it when i ACCEDENTALLY broke his arm. I will regret thet day because ever since, the arm isn't as strong as it was before. It keeps moving the hand down when it's up and nothing is in it. All-in-all, I give it a 3.85. Have fun playing with it, but don't get disapointed when something brakes, as it will never work the same.

ENERGON HOT SHOT
AS A ENERGON FAN SO FAR THIS IS ONE OF THE BETTER ONES OUT THERE. THIS GUY CAN FORM A POWERLINX WITH INFERNO WHO IS A FIRE TRUCK JUST LIKE HIS G1 COUNTERPART. IF HOT SHOT IS THE HEAD AND WAIST THE POWERLINX FIGURE WOULD BE POWERLINX HOT SHOT AND VICE VERSA IF INFERNO WAS ON TOP HE WOULD BE CALLED POWERLINX INFERNO. I HAVE BOTH ARMADA VERSIONS OF HOT SHOT AND THIS ONE IS A LITTLE BETTER THAN THOSE GUYS. GOOD PRICE TOO FOR THIS FIGURE.

Really cool Transformer Toy
I got this toy for my birthday a little while ago, and I think it's met my expectations for a transformers toy, probably even passed them. I like his vehicle mode, which resembles something you might find on a James Bond movie. He has good articulation in his legs (which are his arms when he combines with Inferno), and his arms are still good but not as articulated as the legs. He has a simple transformation. His accessories are cool too, coming with a gun with a firing missile that shoots a little less than a yard and also a strange sort of cutting tool. Overall, Hot-Shot is a really great transformer, and worth the money to add to your collection.

Hot Shot in the Hot Seat
Well, I never purchased the Armada Hot Shot, but he looked a little worse than this guy. A plus form this HS is his front windows: you can see through them, just like you could with a lot of the RID ones. Unfortunately he has no side windows, but there is a realon for that. This guy's plusses are as follows: He can combine with Inferno (Fire Truck-available now, here), Prowl (police car, I think, available if you know where to look), and Rodimus (Semi cab, same as Prowl), as well as other deluxe-sized releases in the future. He doesn't combine with Ironhidee or Jetfire, though, they are too big, and only jcombine with each other. At any rate, he can combine with any of the above-mentioned dudes to form either Powerlinx Hot Shot (if he forms the upper body, arms, and head), or Powerlinx Respective Transformer,(if he is the legs and one of the others is the head, etc.). As you can see, this gives you several combinations, so he is worth the money. His transformation will probably keep you guessing until you read the instructions, so that is a major plus. I hate the ones where you can tell how it transforms just by looking at both pictures of it. If they had transformations more like the Beast Wars or Robots in Disguise toys, I would be happier. Still, he is a must-have for any true TransFan, because the collectors get all the toys (or at least most of them) ... Read more

Hail Zeon!!
Hy Gogg is Zeon's amphibious Mobile Suit from Gundam 0080. It's a detailed reproduction of the actual thing from the movie, but it's not cast in all of the colors, so paint is required to help it look like an actual reproduction of the one from the movie. A little modeling glue helps, but isn't absolutely nessecary. In my opinion, building the figures is the most fun part, and doing so helps one learn to be careful with the parts and in some cases, painting skills, but this thing will NOT survive a fall from a shelf, desktop, TV set, etc. This shouldn't be reccomended to anyone under 12, or someone who lives with one under 12. The floor is every model's worst enemy.... =P

This is the coolest mecha design in the gunam universe
This item was reviewed by Diablo 15: I got this last week and it is awsome! Though if you don't have red, gray, and black paint I would not recomend it. It dosn't look good without them because it would be missing the gray between the arms the red cooling units and the black around the eye. Anyways I would actualy call this a level 1 or 2 because, being a reletively old model, it is simply constructed and requires paint. It has a number of nice options for the arm such as claws in different poses and missles that fit between the claws. You can also put him into streamline for underwater manuverability. The only complaint I have is that the body falls apart easily. But over all it is a nice model and adition to any gundam collection. ... Read more

Needs Alot of Work
I wanted to get a 1/144 Alex, and at the time this was the only one out. For the price it is worth it, but to make it look good, the model needs a lot of painting. It's doesn't even have eye stickers.

if your wana work buy it
well this model realy does look like crap if you dont paint it and work on it. i have bean a gundam fan for a very long time and out of all my models which is about 30 in culding a pg this one is my favorite, but i spent a lot of hardwork painting him and i also did a ton of weathering. if your a begginer i wouldnt buy this kit if you want your gundam to look cool with out paint. oh and it basicly onley comes in two colors blue and white. hes also a good kit to practice a new technique you might want to try but dont wana screw up one of your good models.

don't buy
Don't buy this gundam. It is horrible. It breaks so easily. Not meant for play (duh). It has parts that don't fit on. The pieces break so easily. Don't buy. It also looks bad. ... Read more

Alex's Favorite
My 4 year old loves his Strong-Bot. He is able to change it on his own and his older brothers even think it is fun. When he had money of his own to spend, he even chose to buy more Go-Bots! This is one of his favorite toys!

Fun for brothers
My boys, ages 4 & 2, love go-bots. The 2 yr. old is still learning to change them back and forth but my 4 year old is a pro. These are toys that they play with together. They love construction and dinosaurs so we have stong-bot, reptron, and the one that is a forklift. My 4 yr. old was allowed to take a toy into his adenoidectomy and he chose reptron.

I get by with a little help from my friends...
BREAKING NEWS: Transformers and Go-Bots end two-decade-long conflict by joining forces.

With all of the unrest in the world today, it's comforting to know that two head-strong rivals can set aside their differences.

Like oil and vinegar, cats and dogs, Gary Cherone and Van Halen -- Transformers and Go-Bots were two things that just didn't mix. Today, they join hands (or bulldozer scoops, depending on which form they are in) and return as a sure-to-be timeless collection of toys that children the world over will want.

Stubborn and courageous, Strong-Bot is the first spawn from this collaboration. Bulldozer by day, rubber-tread chested robot by night -- Strong-Bot battles the forces of evil with his massive hands and heart of gold.

Playskool/Hasbro spared no expense when they combined the two toy lines into one. By eliminating the qualities of the dumb Transformers (Jetfire) -- and replacing them with the qualities of the cool Go-Bots (Cy-Kill) -- children are left with one of the most realistic looking vehicle-to-robot toys on the market today.

Mighty Robots. Mighty Vehicles.

Whoa... Another decent model...
When I recieved this model, it started out like any other basic gundam model. It was plastic, not built, and of course, didn't look like the model on the box art. But if you were really into this hobby, you would just say this is exactly what I've been expecting and wanted. The Kampfer is a little rarer then the other HG (High Grade) models you'll find (due to how cool it looks :P) but if you get a chance to get it, you'll have fun building it. The weapons are extremely cool, but are not the best in fitting places on the gundam. This is like all Bandai Gundam models though, so you'll have to get used to it.

Once this model is built, it'll look like a cheap light blue crappier version to the model on the box. But one of the ideas in building, is painting. After you painted this (I did mine in black and white) you see that it looks cooler then the model up front. I think it's well worth the cash, and well worth the time once you see what you built.

Colors are all wrong, man!
It's supposed to be a deep, dark blue. But no, they make it some turquoise-kinda baby blue color. Bazookas are too small, the guns make the hands explode inside out, and how the heck are you going to stick all those little holsters onto twelve-year old jetpack(yes this model IS twelve almost thirteen)??? All in all, a must-not-buy

soooooooo good
Ok folks ive been building gundams for quite a while now so here goes my review of this kit.

the first thing youll notice is....ICK its not colered right X_X i dont really care though as it still looks kool but certain modelers will wish to paint it...the whole thing -_- . But the beauty is the WEAPONS! u get 2 shot guns 2 bazookas 2 panzer faust missles and a chainmines whip however this is also the reason i gave it 4 durability... the weapons do...fall off of the backpack but dont for the love of god super glue them...as u wouldbt have access to the bazookas but meh. anyway yes its a good kit for anyone...... SIEG ZEON! ^_^ ... Read more
