The Iron Shek
Well I can't find anything wrong with this figure it looks just like him. It comes with a white removeable turban. He has a bald head and a really cool mustache. He has blue tights with a camel on it.He's got yellow and blue boots that are pointed at the ends. The only problem is that it comes with no kneel pads. Other then that this figure is perfect.

WWE Classic Superstar: The Iron Sheik
Here is another figure that looks excellent. It may be a little simple, but it still looks awesome. This figure comes with a white turban that is removable. It's pretty obvious that under that is his bald head. Some other cool features are his mustache, which looks cool. His boots are excellent as well with the pointy stuff. Both boots are different colors though. This figure comes with blue tights with a camel on it. As another reviewer said, thank god Jakks did not put on the long tights. If they did the figure would have looked screwed up and not worth the money. However, this one is. No collection is really complete with the now Hall Of Famer, The Iron Sheik.

okay first off i just want to say the iron sheik is my favorite wrestler always has been.I have iron sheik figures from other lines.but this iron sheik is the most accurate figure of him to ever be made.He comes with this head piece a white one just like one of his very own.His boots are yellow and blue with a camel and sword on each side just like his real boots.he is also wearing his camel trunks thank god! those iran pants he wore are a lil dumb im glad they gave him his camel trunks.his face is a dead on likness of sheik jakks did a amazing job with him. ... his hands don't go together so it looks like the bat is floating. also, i can't get the nob end of the bat into his right hand. this wouldn't be too bad if his back leg wasn't hanging over the end of the dirt. i'm really sad. i guess you're not supposed to take them out of the box. on a good note he looks great detail wise. and he is very sturdy and heavy, not cheaply made.

WWE Classic Superstar: Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff
As always, here comes another great classic superstar action figure. On this Orndorff figure, the facial expression is great. Orndorff's face always looked just like that. His hair is also designed perfectly. This figure also comes with a red robe that says "Mr. Wonderful" on the back. His tights and wrist tape are white, and his boots are white/red. On the back of Orndorff's tights, it says "Mr. #1derful". It says it just like that. This is a really old school wrestler/figure that really deserves to be in anyone's collection, so buy it.

Another average Austin figure from Jakks
The Summerslam 2003 Austin figure is another spare parts Jakks' action figure. The figure actually has long jeans and not shorts as seen in the promo photo above. If you're looking for another "talking head" or "street gear" figure, you may enjoy this figure, but it is strictly average Jakks fare. Scan is good, but the poor paint job hurts it. ... Read more

Sammy Sosa does his home run hop on the road
Tired of the same old batter at the plate pose for your McFarlane baseball figures? Well, this MLB Series 6 Figure of Sammy Sosa is certainly unique because nobody else does the little hop out of the batters box after going long ball like the Cubs slugging right fielder. As a nice touch, Sosa's black (uncorked) bat is also about to hit the ground, although I suppose it could be bouncing up in the air as well. One of the strengths of the McFarlane figures has always been the details, and you can see all of the blades of grass on the side of the base, just like it was lifted out of the ground from whatever field the Cubbies are visiting. I always like the way the uniforms look.

McFarlane put out a Sammy Sosa figure with the first series, which showed the Cubs slugger at the plate earlier in his post-swing after bashing another long ball over Waveland Avenue. So this Series 6 figure would come after that one, except in the first one Sosa had the blue Cubs jersey and this one has the road grey (a white/pin-stripped version in also available). Ironically, I always liked the way Sosa stands coiled at the bat waiting for the pitch, so I would not have minded that being selected as the pose. On the other hand, what other McFarlane sports figure can you use to make snow angels? There are also figures of Sosa's Cub teammates Kerry Wood and Mark Prior, so you might as well make an effort to track down the big three of the Chicago Northside.

Great Desk Display for Cub Fans....
Macfarlane Toys started putting these figures out a few years ago, and continually improve the quality in my opinion. I still remember the first set, which were not licensed by MLB. The Mark McGwire figure was amazingly perfect in depicting his swing, but the Sammy Sosa figure was a bit less impressive.

This figure captures AMAZING quality of detail: the face even looks exactly like Sammy Sosa. We have all seen the "hop" when Sosa connects with one of his long drives, and this figure captures that trademark of Sosa's effectively.

I just hope that Macfarlane can pull off production of Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Jackie Robinson, Joe DiMaggio, and most of all - Ted Williams.

NFL 2 PACK
Great 2 pack of two NFLers. Brooks looks like he is chasing Gannon down. while Gannon is running for his life just like in Super Bowl 37. Which Brooks's Bucs won.

Remember when the Tampa Bay Bucs won the Super Bowl?
My how the mighty have fallen. Once again the NFL quest for parity has brought us to another season when the two teams that were in last year's Super Bowl did not even make the playoffs. But the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders embraced this turnaround to such an extent that neither team had a winning record and the Raiders get the honor of having the worst record for a Super Bowl team in history. But it was not even a year ago that the Bucs defense destroyed the Raiders in the Super Bowl. Maybe Tampa Bay fans can find some small measure of solace in this NFL Figures 2-Pack from McFarlane Toys that has last year's defensive player of the year linebacker Derreck Brooks zeroing in on the small of the back of Oakland quarterback Rich Gannon. Actually you have some flexibility with these figures, because you can turn Gannon around and have Brooks about to level him from behind. For Bucs fans that is going to be the better setup for this pair of figures (Raiders fans could prefer the other setup simply because it allows you to maintain the illusion that Gannon is actually going to get this pass away). So the question is whether you want Gannon's open mouth to represent the sight of an open receiver or the fact Brooks is about to take off the upper half of his body.

As always, the detail on these figures is pretty impressive. Notice that Gannon's fingers are not completely on the football, that his veins are bulging on his throwing arm, and that Brooks has a breathe right strip on his nose. You will also find dirt on strategic parts of each uniform, another defining element of these figures from McFarlane. The Gannon and Brooks figures are each pretty good all by themselves (I know there is an individual figure of Gannon in the Raiders' black jersey), but this is a nice set. There is at least one other similar set out there, with Brett Farve and Brian Urlacher (so you know the QB got the pass away in that set). So, the bottom line is that Bucs fans can pick this up and actaully have something to show for this year's postseason. Besides, it could be worse this morning. You could be Vikings fans... ... WWE Classic Superstars: Nikolai Volkoff
As a wrestler I did not like Nikolai Volkoff, but this figure sadly is not any better. There are only a couple problems with this figure which is 1. The face does not look like him. His face never looked like that, unless he was mad but even then his face did not look like that. He usually had a clean shave too, I have never really seen him with hair on his face. Number 2 is that when you take off his little hat, he looks like he is bald. Nikolai never really had hair (just a little), and that is what they tried to do with this figure, but Jakks did not succeed. I think Jakks could have done better for the exception of his attire which looks great. If you collect these figures, well then buy it. If you collect these figures but only buy the good ones, skip this one and save money.

this is nikolai volkoff this figure is amazing as are all of the classic superstar figures.for those of u who dont know volkoff is tag team partners with the iron sheik.They were my fav tag team and i honored to have them.Volkoff comes with his hat a ussr t-shirt.He is wearing red trunks with red and striped socks and red knee pads just like he would normally wear.If you find his face weird dont.because it is based off of a certain picture he posed to.they did a excellent job capturing that pose. if you have the iron sheik get volkoff they will look great together. ... Definite classic
I love this figure for its nostalgic value. Those who were watching at the time of blueblood Hunter Hearst Helmsley should get a kick out of this one and it's something a bit different for the collection. Also it looks great in its packaging ... Read more

  You can tell that the members of WWE tag team La Resistance have a bit of an ego problem. Their smug expressions bear no hint of modesty, instead a cocky smirk stretches across their faces, fairly begging for a harsh thumping at the hands of opposing grapplers. In these action figures of La Resistance, both Rob Conway and Rene Dupree wear red trunks emblazoned with their team’s name and Dupree sports a pair of black elbow pads. Curiously, there is only one championship belt, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship strap, to share between the two men, neither of whom is traditionally known as a singles’ wrestler. HOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Hacksaw Jim Duggan was one of the WWF's most popular wrestlers in the mid to late 1980's.While never having much pure wrestling ability, Duggan relied on his toughness and brawling ability and finished off opponents with his shoulder charge.Duggan was portrayed as an all-american everyman who was usually put into feuds with foreign wrestlers like the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff.One of Duggan's most memorable moments came at Wrestlemania 3 when he thrilled the 90,000 plus crowd by charging the ring,and attacking the Sheik and Volkoff when Volkoff tried to sing the Russian nationl anthem.

The figure is quite well done and the face is a good likeness of Duggan.Like many of Jakks figures the lower torso is always less detailed and pretty generic.Duggan comes of course with his always present 2 x 4 which was always his equalizer in the ring.

This is an excellent action figure of Hacksaw with his 2x4. This one looks just like him as well.

Good likeness of a terrible wrestler.

Get the Diamondback Schilling before the big trade happens
As I write this right-handed pitcher Curt Shilling is half of the potent one-two punch for the Arizona Diamondbacks, along with Randy Johnson. However, by the time you read this he will probably be a member of the Boston Red Sox, so if you want to preserve your memories of the 2001 World Champions with a nice set of ace bookend figures, you will want to track this particular McFarlane Major League Baseball Series version of Shilling. That is because McFarlane not only likes to do home and away uniform versions of their baseball figures but also like to update their uniforms (does anybody have a Red Sox version of Roger Clemens? I have the Yankee one. I missed out on the Blue Jays one).

As always, we find that McFarlane has paid great attention to the details. The best details on the Schilling figure are the determined set of the jaw and the hair on his forearms. I may have to revise my earlier opinion and conclude that this action figure is the MLB figure put out by McFarlane that has the most dirt on the jersey. Do not ask me how a pitcher gets both pants legs that dirty because all I can come up with is a really bad head first slide or block a base down on both knees, neither of which would be conducive to Schilling being able to end up back on the mound pitching. Speaking of the mound, the Schilling figure has another one of those slices of the mound that has the pitcher pitching down hill. McFarlane has a Luis Gonzales figure out there as well, so even after the big trade happens you can still have a pair of current Diamondback figures counting the Big Unit. ... Read more
