Editorial Review Imagine if scientist Bruce Banner was given to fits of blinding rage only from the wrists down and that his hands alone, no other body part, were transformed into those of the Hulk. Funny looking, sure, and problematic if you happen to be wearing a ring or watch but not nearly as inconvenient and clothes-ruining as the full body version of the Hulk. These foam rubber hulk hands approximate that experience. Upon being impacted, they emit crashing sounds and guttural screams that emulate those of Hulk himself. Inside the hands are little handles for your own puny human hands to grab on to. The hands are covered in a rubbery material and are very soft to the touch. A note of caution, the trigger mechanism for the sound effects is very sensitive; anything that bumps against the Hulk Hands in a toy box or shelf is likely to incite quite a racket. --Charlie Williams ... Ahhh!!!
The Hulk Hands will occupy your children for hours - TRUST ME! My son recieved them for his 7th birthday and was thrilled to death. All the kids at the party had a blast playing with them. Many of my friends have toddlers and when they come over (which is quite often) it is the first toy that the "babies" get out. They love it! I, personally, find it VERY annoying and for that matter, DREAD the children playing with it. ;) That is why I gave it 4 stars. LOL!
whats goin on there?
Awesome toys but very violent!!!, October 18, 2003 Reviewer: Jon from USA Well I got this toy for my son on his birthday and I bought a pair for my self. Well me and him were using them and then I hit him right in the face and broke his nose and gave him a concusion. Now he is in the hospital because of the hulk hands. I think the hulk hands should have had a warning label on amazon.com and because they didn't my son is in the hospital. But hey the gloves were fun thank you creators of the Hulk Gloves!!!! have a great day!!
maybe the problem isnt the hulk hands, it could just be that you, as a grown man shouldnt be fighting with your son, even though you may be wearing hulk gloves. i am sixteen and my friends and i love the things. they're more fun if you actually know how to box, but you should be careful not to hit TOO hard. great toy.
These things rock
I'm 18 years old and discovered Hulk Hands this weekend at an overnight event. My friends and I had boxing matches with them, because they barely hurt and they make cool sounds. A must have for college!
Greatest toy around
My 11 year old wanted these, and I thought that this would certainly be another one of those toys that got used for a day & then were left on the shelf not to be played with again. Was I wrong! These things are kid magnets- not only does my son love playing with these things, so does his younger 4 year old brother, his older 17 year old brother & all their friends, both girls & guys! As a Mom, it was hard to believe the attraction, but then I slipped them on & loved them too.
Mean Green Fighting Machines
When my three-year-old first got these he was up to his elbows in green foam. Now, he's almost four and still wants me to "Hulk" with him.
The soft foam rubber ensures that play is relatively pain-free. The sound effects don't add a whole lot to playtime, but they're not too obnoxious (still, I won't be overwhelmed with grief when the batteries die). The Hulk Hands don't afford a great deal of educational opportunities beyond distinguishing between left and right hands. I suppose you could teach your youngster left hooks, body blows, and uppercuts, but that might also get you a visit from Child Protective Services - or, worse, Don King. We do have a house rule about "no hitting without Hulk Hands," and that has helped my son work out his frustrations without bruising mom or dad (and thereby getting a visit from Parental Protection Services). Overall, we've been pleased with the purchase of the Hulk Hands. The only drawback comes when he hasn't put them away and you kick one while you're walking through a darkened room - the Hulk roar can be quite startling under such conditions.
