This is AWESOME!
First off, you have GOT to get this if you are a Muppet fan! Secondly, if you get this, you have GOT to get the Captain Hogthrob and Dr. Strangepork figures! Believe me, you have to. After I bought this set I simply had to get the other two figures, and now it looks glorious! It doesn't look right without them, and to be honest, the Pigs In Space figures don't make sense without this set! And what a set! The doors have spring action so they can do that "Whoosh" thing, there are plenty of scientific looking machine parts to deck the place out in, you get different images to slide into the viewscreen, the levers are poseable, it's just awesome! And did I mention, it comes with First Mate Piggy?!!! An excellent figure on her own! This set and its bonus figure are just amazing in detail and accuracy, as is the entire Palisades Muppet line! Highly recommended, though probably best appreciated by collectors and older kids rather than little ones. ... Read more

Excellent, if you can spring for the whole set!
On his own, this figure might not seem very special. Oh, he's cool and all, it's another perfect job by Palisades and their AMAZING Muppet figure line, but without the Pigs In Space Playset and the rest of the Swinetrek crew figures, it's just not that funny. But believe me, if you get the Pigs In Space set, you'll wish you had Strangepork! The set is amazing with all three characters, Dr. Strangepork, Captain Link Hogthrob, and First Mate Piggy (who comes with the set), and if you're a collector, it's all well worth getting! I'm serious, I have the whole deal and it looks awesome. First I got Strangepork and didn't really know what to do with him, then I got the playset with Piggy, and it was cool, but that empty chair in the middle didn't look right. Then I picked up the Captain and it turned into one of the most impressive figure displays I've ever scene. Like all the other Palisades Muppets figures, the details and accuracy are stunning. This is probably the most impressive action figure line I've ever scene! Strangepork comes with a ray gun, some strange, scientific wands I really don't know what to do with (they could easily be anal probes), and a robot named M.A.M.A., almost his size, that looks suspiciously like R2-D2. You get a lot for your money, and I do highly recommend it. It's just that this is the figure that really NEEDS that playset to have an impact. Wow!
"Wow!" is all I can think of to say, because this figure is incredible! I mean, the entire Palisades Muppet line has been great, but of the ones I have, which isn't a bad sized pile, this one has got to be my favorite. It is the spitting image of Sam, and it's a nice size too! This ain't no dinky toy! The detail is unbelievable, yet he's very sturdy. I just cannot get over the realism of this one, even over the other Muppet figures, which are all excellent! I'm thrilled to have this figure, because Sam, as unseen and rarely marketed as he is for the most part, is one hilarious character when he does pop up in a film or show. Playing straight man to the Muppets can't be easy when you are one yourself! If you're wondering why I call this toy educational, think about it! It's not just Sam, it's Sam as Samuel Arrow from Treasure Island! That's a classic piece of literature! Yeah, I know it's also a Muppet movie, but that movie is pretty close to the same basic story. Anyway, if I could think of any complaint about this character, it's probably that he doesn't really "grip" his accessories, but that's a minor issue. And they are some great accessories, by the way! He carries the map to Treasure Island, a key, an authentic looking Bible (which is empty inside and a great place to store the map and key), and an excellent spy glass that actually folds and unfolds! Everything is just beautiful! This toy rocks!

Great Choice
This toy is AWESOME! I love it. It is a big hit at the office. Our promotions director (Hi Bryan ;)) actually RESEMBLES Sam! His nickname is 'Sam the Eagle'. He usually has an eagle eye - except when he had his ski accident. All of my family loves this toy.

Muppet Mania!!!!!!!!
I play with my Muppet everyday. He is so cool. I love him so much that I carry him in my diaper everywhere. I'm so lucky because my mommy bought my 8 muppets! ! !

One Of The Best Muppet Figures
This figure is awesome! This figure has some great accessories. He comes with a telescope, a book, a key, a removable hat, and a map. The cool part is that the map can be hidden in the book. The figure is very detailed and it has a good amount of articulation. This is definetly one of my favorite figures from this line. I highly reccomend it. ... Read more

Another Great Palisades Muppet!
In all my years of toy collecting, this is possibly the finest line of action figures I have ever seen. The Muppet Newsman is another great example. He comes complete with removable glasses, desk, Multi-TV screen backdrop, stick on images for the screens, and a really neat red telephone. As with the rest of the figures in the Palisades Muppet line, the detail and accuracy is mind-blowing! This figure is simply fantastic, and one of the most fun to set in different poses and situations with the other figures. Definitely a must have toy, even if he isn't a major player in the Muppet world anymore. Heck, that only makes him all the more interesting as a display piece! ... Read more

Palisades has done it again!
I can not believe the quality and detail of this line of toys. Palisades is leading the way into a new generation of toy making. The accessories are the most detailed I have ever seen in any toy line! And Even though Mr. Fiama is not a character I care for at all, I can not help but be happy with this toy. I don't understand how Palisades can put this mych detail and playabilty into these toys and still make a profit. Dead on likeness with the actual muppets right down to the skin texture! ... Poor painting
As an avid Muppet fan,I was sorely disappointed upon receiving this version of Gonzo. I was looking forward to his quintessential suit and luscious companion Camilla. But unfortunately upon arrival the paint was so badly done and peeling that it looked like Camilla was molting and Gonzo had some mold like grey over his normal coloring and chips on his nose and face and alot of the paint was off the mark. The horn has a very obvious break point from it's mold and the paint doesn't cover it. This company didn't do a very good job at what should be a classic and valued version of the Great Gonzo. Don't waste your money.

A great addition to your muppet collection!
I'm a big muppet fan and love the figures, so this was an exciting addition to my collection! It's a much more quintessential version of the Gonzo I know than the earlier dare devil version. He is sculpted very well with accurate texturing to match the actual puppet wonderfully. (And has 12 points of articulation!) Gonzo comes with Camilla who was also impressively sculpted, a box of chocolates that opens up and a horn from Gonzo's trademark last note at the end of the Muppet Show's beginning song.
I'ts a great action figure that once again will persuade you to continue collecting these highly detailed works of art. ... Read more
