The innovative hover disc is a cross between a frisbee and a balloon. Made of very lightweight materials, the disc has a circumference of approximately 34 inches. Even before you add air or helium the disc will fly through the air not unlike a like a large, flat frisbee. Better than a Frisbie
It's great for children 3 and up because it's easy to throw and is much safer and easier to catch. However, the durability of the product is poor because the rim around the disk is wire wrapped with mylar and rips/tears very easily when you throw it because that's where you grab on to it to toss. It should be re-inforced. Also, if you have trees on your property or many bushes, the disk can get torn easily when it lands in the trees/bushes.

Fun for a day!
The hover disc is alot of fun! It's awesome, never has my family experienced playtime like this ever(especially when the breeze catches it). The only thing we don't care for, is it doesn't hold helium-for only a day. So the next day, it's due for a refill.

FUN
I love this toy but the first day I got it, it worked fine. The second day was a different story (It got trown softly) and stuck in a tree I finally got it down and oh my gosh it wouldn't flie at all. It was flat. We couln't find the hole so I just had to throw it away not to mention the $12 . I would not recomand this. Unless you want to throw away 2 things $12 and a great toy.

Very Short-Lived Fun!
I saw this in a store and bought it for my son's birthday. Invited 2 neighbor boys over for cake and afterwards opened the presents - this one was the one they all wanted to play with. Didn't have helium so blew it up using the enclosed straw- so far so good. I thought they'd toss it around the living room (gently, but what do I know) , but they ran outside with it. 5 fun-filled soaring tosses and 3 minutes later it was torn from edge to edge and that was the end of that. Just looked at their web site - says you can tape it together and should be OK, but previous reviewer seems to have had a poor resolution with that. If this was made with a little (or a lot) more durability, this would be a great fun toy. If you have kids who will toss it around gently, it IS fun!

This is a disposable toy!!!!
While my son absolutely loved playing with this toy for about 1 or 2 hours, it is truly a "disposable" item. After about an hour of play, the thing totally gave out. It is made out of mylar so I guess I shouldn't have expected it to be durable. (...) If you are watching your pocketbook, I would say to pass. This is a great concept, they just need to figure out how to make it with something more durable!

this toy is awesome because you can do cool tricks and its fun. i got mine 4 my b-day, once i opened it i totally exploded. on a 5 star 4 fun u should get it

Hover Disc is one-time-use...ours flew away!
I bought the hover disc for my 3 1/2 year old son. I read the packaging thoroughly and it indicated that if you would like it to "hover" you should fill it with helium rather than air (and don't use it in windy conditions). Well, we went to the store, filled it with helium, took it to the park (it was not at all windy) and my son threw it in the air and it hovered...and hovered...and hovered...all the way across the river!!! Needless to say my son was extremely upset and for that matter so was I!! I wrote the company but have not heard back from them. The manufacturer needs to warn consumers not to fill with helium for outside use! (Even the description on Amazon.com doesn't warn us!) ... Read more
