5-0 out of 5 stars Looks like I've started a new fad.
I'm 13, and bought a pack of UNO cards and took them to school the next day. Oops (or maybe I should say YES!) because everyone wanted to play. I must have played ten games every single day so far, and my cards are still in high demand. It is not at all hard to learn, and still a ton of fun. I strongly recommend this game!

    Great and totally addictive!!!!
When I played this at my grandmother's house, I was hooked! They're these liitle cards that are in four colors and numbered from 1 through 9 and with Reverse, Draw 2, and Wild Cards. It helped my little cousins' math skills and was extremly fun! This is a must buy!

    Learning Tool
I'm 14 and got this game when I was younger. I was struggling a little with math until I got this game. It helped me realize color and number patterns in such a fun way that I didn't even notice it! Since then I've been playing it at least once a week. I tutor young children and for those with math problems, I use the Uno game as a fun and educational tool. Parents have come to me and congratulated me with the successfullness of it. Its the ultimate game in a compact size. The cards last for a pretty long time. I've had one deck for the past 3 years and its still in tip top shape! So for anyone who plans to buy it, it's definately the RIGHT CHOICE!!!!

    GREAT GAME LOADS OF FUN
I love this game. It is a great family game though it might cause
a few arguments or break-ups(aaaaah! just kidding). Don't let this happen. It's just a game like any other game. You're just having fun. That's the No. 1 reason for playing any game with children or adults to have fun. Hey, How would like to be given 4 draw 4 cards????? get the picture???? Another good point, NEVER GIVE UP SO EASY,ITS NEVER OVER TILL IT'S OVER,comebacks
can happen. MY father-in-law was shut out, while I just needed 1 point to win(499 points to 0 4 or 5 of us were playing)and he came back and beat us with 500 points. Play this fantastic card game and see what I mean. Buy it and I hope you'll enjoy it too.

    Always fresh and fun
This is the most exciting game where me and my seven year old nephiew would play for hours! If you wait somewhere for something or someone you shuld always have "uno" with you. The time goes so fast you can't even imagine...and is really fun! Thanks for having it on the market...keep the great work and I hope I can find even more creative and as fun games:-) ... Read more

Think you've got a good ear for everyday sounds? Then pop Soundscape, the super, sonic party game, into the CD player at your next gathering and getready to pass around the chips, dips, and Q-Tips. Whether two people or 20,individuals or teams, aural sects attempt to identify the five everyday noisesthat constitute one round emanating from the 36-round, two CD set. Is that a gasburner or a coffeemaker? The opening of a pop-top or the cracking of an egg?Okay, that's got to be geese flying overhead... or a dolphin talking. You've gotfive seconds to write down your answer, and believe us, it's tougher than itsounds. A quick once-over of the written rules will get you started, theinstructional voices on the CDs are patient (if a tad stilted) and explainthings well (even indicating when it's time to press "pause" for drinks andmunchies), all designed to quickly turn any gathering on its ear. Here's hopingthe folks at Game Development Group release some additional CDs. --TonyMason ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Made the trip worthwhile
There is no better way to pass the time on a car journey than having SoundScape in the glove compartment. Thank god we purchased this game prior to leaving on a 15 hour road trip. The playing time is variable - it depends how many rounds you want to play. Simply put, you pop the game CD into the CD player and everyone in the car takes their best stab at identifying the sounds in each round. A score sheet is supplied so that you can write down your guess and then points are allotted for whether it is the correct answer, close to the correct answer or not very close at all. We were playing this throughout our journey and it made what could have been a long dull car journey into lots of fun. I can easily see the appeal of this at home party gatherings as well!

5-0 out of 5 stars Sounds Good
Great sound effects in this game, and very deceptive. You might guess that you're listening to the chatter of dolphins, while someone else might blurt out that you're hearing monkeys (or try figuring out what that prolonged 'swoosh' sound is, etc). The presenters' voices (alternating male and female) keep the flow going nicely and I like the touch of having the ticking clock tell you how much time is left to make your guess. We have played the game at home and in the car to keep the kids (and ourselves) entertained on some long drives. Well put together on the two CDs. ... Read more

Unique Concept, the Kids Liked it.
I bought this game for a long car trip and it worked like a charm. This is a tougher sound identification game for kids than others out there. The sounds are not obvious and kids have to think a little to try and decide what the sound might be. The sounds are introduced by a group of kids on the CDs. For instance, the kids on the CD present a sound a few times, then they start counting down so that the players have time to write their guesses down on the scoresheet. The sound is played 3 times. Each time a sound is played, the kids on the CD encourage the players to listen carefully and not be fooled. Two CDs and many, many rounds of sounds come with the game, so I am saving the second CD for the next car trip. I am guessing this would be a fun game at birthday parties.

    The kids like it
The only two commands I think I had to give my youngsters (eight and eleven) before setting them down to play this were: "SSSH! and LISTEN". Very little prodding was needed, and once the first Cd started playing they were captivated. The two voices (one boy and one girl) acting as the sound effects Presenters are adorable enough to make any parent melt like butter (or maybe I'm just a softie). Where can I send my kids to audition for the next set of CDs? ... Read more

The Tilez! Magnetic Travel Edition is a deceptively simple game ofgridlocked color matching in a very attractive package. Conducive to bothsolitaire and competitive play, Tilez! rewards those who can match the mostedges of their L-shaped pieces to the colors of pieces previously played. Thelaminated magnetic board opens up, book-like, to reveal the 80 colored "tilez"and pencil-less, paper-less scoring strips, as well as complete illustratedrules. It's true, as the publicity says, that you'll be playing within fiveminutes of opening the game, though you'll no doubt need a few plays to fullygrasp what constitutes a legal versus illegal move. But, as you might expectfrom a magnetic game, you'll be rewarded by sticking to it. --Tony Mason ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great travel game, parents will like it too
This is the travel edition of the "Tilez!" puzzle game made by the same company. The game includes 80 different magnetic "L"-shaped tiles and a full-color board in a space about 9" square (it opens to 18x9) and thinner than a matchbook. You play one of the 3 tiles in your hand onto the board to match as many color edges as possible. The more you match, the higher your score. Magnetic scoring markers to keep score are thoughtfully provided.

The workmanship is evident in the weight -- even though it's small it's quite a bit heavier than you would guess by looking at it, so it's not one of those cheap throw-away travel games at all. Neverthesless, if you plan to play mostly at home I recommend the full-size one (also sold on this site) which includes larger pieces, a larger board, and 4 racks for your tiles.

Also, you can play solitaire if you like -- rules for soliatire are included. ... Read more

    Keep one in your car!
My son and I have really enjoyed this travel chess set. It is small and easy to transport. Perfect for travel. We keep ours in the car so we can pass the time waiting for appointments, etc. Pieces are easy to move around the board yet fit tight enough not to fall out. I would have liked the little zipper storage compartment to face the other way to make it easier to get the pieces in and out. The only other fault is that the silver and gold pieces don't have much color contrast and it is sometimes difficult to tell the pieces apart, especially in the bright sun. Black and white pieces would have worked better.

    Sideways board
I bought this item as an avid chess fan, so I guess my rating doesn't really apply to the other games availabe. I've been looking for a good travel set so I got this one. But be careful and look at the pictures of the actual board. It's attached to the case and it appears that whoever made it doesn't really play chess. The orientaion of the board is sideways (white on right). So, if you're OK with having an akward case end in front of one of the opponents, or you like one of the other games, go ahead and buy it. But for my money, I'm still looking for a good quality travel chess set. ... Read more

    Book Description

Have you heard that people have been gathering in groups and engaging in suspicious activities that have them arguing like politicians and reliving scenes of their lives like a bad soap opera? This isn't a tall tale, it's Tall Tales™, the game that merges outlandish trivia with interactive storytelling. It's not just a game, it's an experience!

Does a prehistoric sea serpent live in the depths of Britain's Loch Ness, and is there a mysterious 15-mile deep hole in a remote area of Washington state with strange powers? Find out the real story behind enduring legends.

Become the "topper" by one-upping your friends and family with a whopper of a story. If you've ever caught a catfish the size of a sleeper sofa or spent a relaxing weekend aboard a UFO, then this is your chance to tell all!

Is the famous Patterson Bigfoot video a hoax, and do red M&M's really cause cancer? Try to identify popular misconceptions and interesting phenomena as being fact or fiction.

Each type of card in Tall Tales™ corresponds to a certain type of question or topic, and is themed to a legendary creature (Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, and Alien). The Tall Tales™ and Humdinger™ cards are trivia cards that include questions and answers, while the Topper™ cards provide topics that you use as the basis for sharing a whopper of a story. Playing the game simply involves drawing and playing these cards.

Tall Tales™ Pocket Edition includes 120 trivia cards, and is for curious and crafty storytellers ages 10 and up. ... Read more

Great travel game with kids. Lots of fun!
We've had a copy of Tall Tales in our van for months now and have grown accostomed to hearing random questions about Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster flying from the back seat. Not only does it keep the kids (and us) entertained and relatively quiet, it gives them the chance to stretch their creativity when they're stuck in the seatbelts. It's also nice to be able to duck in and out of the game as attention to the road demands. I'm sure it would be great fun to play with a group indoors as well, but ours literally never made it out of the car. Best of all, you can lose a few cards to spilled milkshakes and the occasional gust of wind and the game still works. Try that with travel chess.

A must have for all those who never seem to get enough of there urban myth cravings and who have their own unique talent on spinning the truth. we laughed so hard with the tall tales questions, and had a blast trying to out-topper each other with our own crazy way of creative story tellin'. I'm normally not a big game person, but I absolutely fell in love with this game, it'll definately be in the x-mas stockings for my friends.

    Editorial Review

Oh, it's an "eye catcher" all right. And before you're finished withthis maddeningly, frustratingly addictive pursuit, you'll be calling it "Cross- eye catcher." It's the kind of panic-inducing, color-coded race against timethat plays as if Rubik himself went out drinking with a gang of Mensa members, then decided to design a new eye chart. Alone or in teams, players attempt tomatch the 16 colored tiles to their corresponding squares on the board in undera minute. Ah, but there's a catch: each tile is composed of four triangles, eachof those sporting one of five colors; and while one tile may contain the samefour colors as another, the colors will be positioned differently. You'll spenda lot of time twisting them around to find the perfect board match--only todiscover that yellow and purple are transposed. Perfect for solitaire or partyplay (especially the hilarious Team Challenge, where two players match and grabsimultaneously on the not-so-big board), Eyecatcher will make cockeyed optimistsout of many a gathering. --Tony Mason ... Fun at first...
This game is fun at first. Then, you get the idea, and it wears off. This is definitely NOT a party game, as each turn takes one minute to complete. If you have six or eight people playing, it can take six or eight minutes until your turn comes around. In the meantime, you, and the other players are just sitting around waiting. My 8 year old daughter likes to play it with me. It is educational for her. Otherwise, leave it.

    Addictive.
I gave this game 5 stars for fun, mostly because anything that is addictive should certainly get five stars. The game is a brain (or should I say Eye) teaser. It looks simple, but it is deceptively difficult. I have not yet been able to place more than 5 tiles (out of 16 tiles) on the board during my 1 minute turn. (I'm 24 years-old and obviously must need training in color identification). No, but seriously, since there is a timing element you do not have all day to decide. My opponents are constantly tormenting me with "wrong, wrong, wrong" - which makes me even more nervous and they foil my turn. I, of course, do the same thing to them. Your opponents do need to pay attention during your turn, as it is normal for people to think they got a match, only for an opponent to point out it is "wrong, wrong, wrong". Addictive, Addictive, Addictive...they are going to have to take me or the game away. Good simple - but difficult! - fun. The problem is that you can also play the game solitaire, which makes you into a 'closet player'.

    One for the senses!
Someone said this game has elements of Rubik's Cube to it, and they were right. But I think it has two distinguishing features - a timer component to add suspense, and the option of playing against others. And this latter point is key, not least because it doesn¹t matter how big your gathering might be (just take turns). When no one else is around, it is enjoyable just to play on your own and test yourself against the scoring chart on the sheet (I'm getting better all the time, though still far from reaching the top of the scale). The game is more complex than it might look, and it really is impossible to memorize the squares on the board (my family and I have adopted a policy of twisting the board around after each person¹s turn to make it even more challenging). You can also forget about trying to develop a pattern or 'system' with the game tiles because you pull each one randomly anyway! There's no way around it: you have to stay focused each and every time. Basically, it's a smart and versatile little game in a compact box.

    Less than expected
I was disappointed in this game. The reviews made it sound so good! It's very easy to memorize where the pieces go as you play the game. To make it harder I suggest the board is turned 45 degrees for each turn. It would be great for kids no older than 13 or 14. It was not worth the [money]it cost with tax and shipping.

    Sideways board
Believe it or not, this is the second travel chess board I bought witl a sideways orientation. The makers of these boards apparently don't really play the game (white on right). Don't worry, I bought them at the same time, so I didn't repeat my mistake. Anyway, I would advise you look closely at the picture before buying this item. At least you can bend back the end under the board, but it's still pretty awkward for one of the players.

    Great, affordable, portable!!
My family and I were going on a road trip, and I have to give my brother SOMETHING to do before he loses his mind. I ordered the checkers case, and it is great! Good leather which is durable and will most likely hold up for a long time, and the board is made of wood. The pieces are metal, and insert perfectly into the holes and do not fall out. This is an excellent item, and I recommend it for any trip!

What an excellent toy for children of all ages. I came across this toy at last years super bowl party and everyone had a blast. Whoever was "chomped" had to take a shot. We played numerous times, dropped it a bunch (aka wonderful durability)and became obscenly intoxicated.
