Bought it for the long haul
I took a chance buying this toy. I felt it was expensive, but reasoned that although my then 6 mo. old baby would not use it for more than a teether, he'd later be able to play it himself at age 2+. My son liked it initially, but beyond grabbing it and eating the handle, legs and tassles, he was not able to play it except by accident or with his feet by 8+ months. I (and other adults) play songs or notes for him, which he likes, and am hoping that in the future he'll play with it rather than use it as an expensive teether. He tries, but it's hard for him to play notes right now. I did not know that the toy was scented and thought it was from the strong-smelling odors of the store from which it was purchased. I do not like artificial scents, but it doesn't bother me now. If you like long-term toys, this is a nicely colorful, non-electronic purchase that encourages interactive play. I use it to also teach colors and or general play. I would give it 5 stars once my baby can play the notes.

Fun with Octotunes
I bought this for my son and when I took it out of the package and played it for my two month old son, he could not keep his eyes off of it. The colors facinated him, the sounds amazed him and he just wanted to stay focused on it as long as possible. He looked at it for hours, smiles at it and finds great enjoyment. I feel he will get plenty of use out of this fun, educational toy as well as being durable to take everywhere with him. I would highly recommend this for any baby to encourage thier visualization & listening skills, then motor skills later.

Great for everyone
We brought this toy for our son when he was 4 weeks old. Although we doubted he would be able to operate the legs on his own for a while yet it has prooven to be a fantastic way for adults to interact with him. He started by watching and smiling or just staring when we played the leg's. It then became something of interest for him to reach out for and then chew on. He's just about five month's now and when he see's it on the ground gives it a big smile and tries to wiggle around to grab at it. We love to sit down with him and squeal the legs while he mouths any part he can get to. I think it's a fantastic investment for those parents that really want to enjoy and be part of their children's lives.

more fun for me
We got this toy when my daughter was three months old. I figured she was a bit young and hoped she would enjoy it when she got a bit older. My husband and I had a lot of fun with it, and she liked it when we would play with it. For the most part, it sits untouched on the bed. It is quite cute, but when our daughter does try to play with it (she is almost two now), she has a hard time squeezing the legs hard enough to make the sounds. Not one of our best purchases, but maybe one of the cutest.

A Fun Interactive Toy
My middle daughter received this toy when she was a year old and just loved it. She loved the to look at the colors and patterns on him. She also liked to listen to the tunes that I played for her.(she didn't mind the mistakes) It is now two years old and we passed it on to my youngest daughter and she loves him too. The best part is you can still smell the vanilla fragrance. It soothed my three year old when she played with it and now its doing the same for her baby sister. ... Read more

All right, let's face it...
A plush fish, no matter what kind, (Blue Tang) what color, (uh... blue...) or what character, (DORY!) will never educate you. But you can collect 'em, hug 'em and love 'em forever! Finding Nemo is an excellent movie. After all, so few inspire me to rush out for a special Dory plush!

Fish are not, by their nature, a friendly sort of animal. They're slippery, not especially expressive, and there's that whole "can't survive out of water" thing. Fortunately the folks at animation studio Pixar, who have had previous success humanizing toys and bugs, have found a way of making it work with the title character from their dazzling film Finding Nemo. The toy is fun , but can sometimes be a little creepy.......
My little brother loves nemo,so i had to buy it for him.
At first i thought it was a little creepy,but it turned to be fun for my little brother.
Anyone who is a fan of the movie has to get this toy.

You wouldn't think a turtle could be cuddly. Charming, yes. Gentle, of course. But fortunately, this plush re-creation of Squirt from Pixar's wonderful film Finding Nemo is also plenty soft enough to snuggle. He measures about 10 inches long and is done up in greens and browns with a floral pattern on the back of his shell. His eyes are made of hard plastic, but the rest is all soft and squeezable. Night, Night. . . . Don't the sharks bite!
My daughter received this as a gift for her 1st birthday. I liked it immediately because it tied in well with the whole Nemo-themed splash party. As a toy, my daughter loves it. It's a bit heavy for her to carry and manuever with her small hands but the way her eyes light up when Nemo's eyes light up makes it worth the weight (no pun intended). It's so cute to see her come wobbling in the room with this huge fish in her arms so Mommy can make it say "Night, Night". And, the snoring feature is to die for! I have noticed that it responds to a child's voice better than an adult's. While this is fustrating for me, my daughter doesn't seem to mind. So overall, I would consider Nite Brite Nemo to be a bit pricy but a great toy!

He just loves this....
My son turned 2 recently. He picked this out himself in the store. He had never seen the movie or even heard of Nemo. Matter of fact we could not leave the store without the fish. He has slept with it every night since he got it. I listen to him at night on the monitor. He sings songs with nemo and tells him night night over and over. He absolutely loves this toy....

Nana Loves Nemo
Hi,my name is Austin and I am 3 1/2 years old. Nana bought Nemo Nite Brite for "me" but she plays with it more than I do. Not good as this is my toy and I love hearing Nemo talk and light up his eyes and laugh and say Nite Nite. I talk right back to Nemo and we both laugh and giggle.

Nana scored big when she surprised me with Nemo. It sleeps right beside me every night. Just me and "my" Nemo.

Great for two year olds
My two year old twins love this toy. They love Nemo to begin with. The fact that they can get the fish's eyes to light up at night is great. I bought it for them and they have it near by at all thimes. We got the shark for our four year old and he loves it too.

my child is frightened by this toy
It seemed like a good idea. My kid loved the movie (as did I.) This toy is a different story. My child is now scared of the ocean, fish, fishsticks, and sometimes ping-pong balls. Seriously. The thing is frightening. And it's eyes glow. I am returning it asap and getting something less disturbing. ... Read more
