Uses too many batteries, needs bulb replacement
My daughter enjoys her lantern reading at night and keeping her friends entertained as they share stories. However, the lantern needed new batteries almost daily and now the bulb needs to be replaced. I have not been able to locate the needed (Philips KPR802 2.8V battery). It's a fun, yet frustrating toy. I think it will end up in the trash.

Durable enough for a toddler but...
while this lantern can handle a bit of banging around on a camping trip, our 2 1/2 year old could not work the knobs himself. In addition, the light does not turn off automatically, so you run through batteries like crazy.

The lantern has survived being dropped, does not seem to get too hot for tiny fingers, and puts out a pretty good "overall" light, not a beam to walk by if the trail has obstacles. ... Read more

Best cabin tent
This is by far the best cabin tent I have used and a real deal for the money. The screen room is roomy- enough for a few chairs or small table and chairs with room to spare. The side entrance is a plus. I use the large room as sleeping quarters and the center room (when hanging the removable divider) for supplies and gear: the perfect set up so no one needs to climb over or step on sleeping bags when rummaging for things. Two good-sized windows in sleeping area can be closed all the way or adjusted to suit the weather &/or for privacy.I have used this tent in both New England and East Africa. I do wish their was an additional window on the back wall for ventilation when in extremely hot climates. Other than that personal preference, this tent is great!
