1-0 out of 5 stars HORRIBLE TOY!!!
We had to buy and return this toy to Target three times before we gave up on it. This is a poorly designed toy. I wasn't expecting perfection, but each one we bought the toy wouldn't hold in the locked position when you separate the upper deck platforms; the platforms would end up snapping back to the neutral position. In addition the LCD display faded and the numbers would not change when you pushed the life point buttons manually. Finally after the third time I took the money and let my child purchase something worthwhile. You would think with the popularity of the show that the manufacturer would have engineered something worthwhile. Save your money and buy something that will last.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not Bad!
I was skeptical about getting this toy for my boys, but I'm glad I got it. Not only does it keep them happy, but they play with the thing all the time. I've been waiting for the time they play with it for a couple of hours and then it end up "lost" in the rubble like most of their toys that their bored of playing with. Though their too young (ages 9 & 5) to really know how to "duel" ,they love making up their own rules or mimicking one of the Yu-gi-oh cartoons. So far its outlasted many attacks and defenses. Their cards stay in one place (instead of all over the floor or table) and they can take the toy with them, especially in the car (where most times I'm looking for lost cards that fall in between seats and on the floor). The cards stay in one place!
No regrets here.

This toy is so cool. When my brother and I got one we went outside to duel. My brother, Danny, layed down one face down card and a monster in defence position and they both appeared. Both of our I almost popped out of our heads. Then we got used to it so we continued. It was my turn now so I layed down my Celtic Guardian and that also appeared. So then my brother layed down another card then flipped up his monster to attack me. So we just went on and on. On my final move I Ritual Summoned Black Lust Soldier. I attacked my brothers life points direct and a bolt of lightning came down out of the sky and struck my brother and he was knocked out cold. We brought him to the docter and they said he was stuck in some other dimension. Right away I new it was the shadow realm...Actualy that didnt happen and i dont even have a duel disk yet. But that would be pretty cool if that happened.

1-0 out of 5 stars WORST TOY EVER
Everyone thinks this thing is fun. But it's just a peice of plastic. and pluthe first day I got it the straps came out of the hole. It deosn't make any sense my arm is as thin as a pencil. and then every time I used itthe straps came back of and anyone that cares about there cards should never touch one of these card destroyers. so I say WORST TOY EVER

Editorial Review

Although it looks like it could house any number of missiles, lasers, or other weapons, the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Disk Launcher is meant strictly for card-based combat. Which isn't to say that the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game isn't exciting; it's phenomenal popularity can attest to that. This accessory, worn on the arm and modeled after the kind used by characters on the Yu-Gi-Oh! television show lets players lay cards out in either attack or defense positions and also features magic and trap card slots. It also features an illuminated number display and a disk that moves into a new dueling position at the push of a button. Perhaps not an ideal introduction to the world of Yu-Gi-Oh!, but probably a must-have item for the legion of faithful fans. Game sold separately as are the three button cell batteries that are required. --Charlie Williams ... Read more

A Present for My Daughter's Birthday
My 9 year old daughter picked this Deathliger as a present and she and my 8 year old son love it. They have played with it for hours and have deeply enjoyed it. He is very durable and is made of a soft to the touch yet sturdy plastic. His wings are detachable and he has action paws that strike when triggered. My only negative remark is that the light purple "Deadly Darkness Breath" projectile goes shoots off in unexpected places and is sometimes hard to find. It is also small enough to keep from small children. Otherwise he is a resounding success, I wish they had more large figures of this quality! ... Read more

I purchased three of these types for my son. They are poorly made, and difficult to assemble, once assembled, they fall apart at the slightest movement. I would have returned the other two if my son had not opened them so quickly. He was very dissapointed in them. I only gave it one star becuase the rating system will not allow you to rate it at 0 stars
