In Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury, you start at the beginning of the Other World Tournament and battle all the way through to the end of the Dragon Ball Z storyline. You will play this battle-based role-playing game through the end of the Kid Buu Saga as one of five characters: Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Goten, or Trunks. If it's not enough that you have the ability to tear through your enemies with an upgraded combat system, and the two fusion characters, Gotenks and Vegito. This game will have the ultimate goal: the defeat of Majin Buu.
P.S. You start out as Goku in the Other World Tournament. ... Read more |

The character selection is impressive as well, including Cell, Gotenks, Goku, Trunks, 18, and more. There are a few I would've liked to see make their appearance in the game, but I do not want to give out any spoilers. On the topic of gameplay, I found it great because of one thing it had that the others were missing....Speed. If you have seen the show you know that what made the fighting great was the KI fights and intense speed, this game has both. Flying at will, moving at quick speeds, fast paced grappling, and great effects all make for a fun fighting experience. With all I have pointed out it sounds like it does take a while to master, but actually within an hour I was able to get the hang of the gist of it. All in all, DBZ SSW isn't the most complicated fighting game out there, but it certainly is one of funnest, and bonus points to it being portable!
the best dbz game for now
Best one ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

NO CHALLENGE!! NO FUN!! NO BUY!!
This happended a few mor times, until i finally got past that point, after which I thought, "Hey, it's okay, I'll be able to level up and get better at beating these terrible dogs." At some point several days later I beat the final boss of the game, Freiza, then mentally shot myself in the head for ever buying this excuse for a game. The premise is simple. You move around with a top down view similar to Zelda. You can punch to kill enemies close up, or use a ki attack to attack them from afar. You gain three different ki techniques. The ki blast is a simply a shot of energy that hits enemies for less damage than a punch. Then there is the famous Kamehameha Wave which you get from King kai later in the game, regardless of the fact that Goku could use that attack in the show before he even knew that the King existed. Finally you learn the solar flare before your first fight, and before the K wave. this is where the game goes from being merely horrible, to being utterly, boringly terrible. Now fights with any enemy progress like this. Solar Flare..punch enemy a few times...RUN AWAY!...lather, rinse, repeat. That's pretty much it. Not only that, but they give you lots of stupid tasks that weren't even in the show that range from slightly relevant( Returning lost artifacts to a Namek temple) to things that anyone going after a guy who kidnapped his son would never do. (Saving a girls kitty-cat). These irrelevant tasks added to the mediocre gameplay, and imbalance of power between enemies turns what could have been a great game, into one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my gaming life. There goes about 5 hours of my life. The only way I can atone for this is by making sure that no one else goes through this torture. Run..don't walk..away from any copy of this game. you will thank yourself later.

Amazon.com Review The Story segment of the game may be the most fun for fans, though it diverges from standard gameplay. Where most games have long, elaborate series of gameplay, intercut with story, Dragon Ball Z intercuts very short interactive battles with long animated sequences portraying everything from the Saiyan Saga through to the Cell Games. The animation and voicing in these sequences mirrors the television series and even uses the very same voice actors as the show. Some fans may be disappointed when gameplay ends with the Cell Games--or they may take it as a sure sign that future games will be released to cover the remaining sagas. Fun? Yes. Flawless? No. Theres not a whole lot under the surface of the sagas--what you see is what you get. And you also might get a little carpal tunnel syndrome along the way--the button-mashing combinations needed to pull off the most awesome moves may not be friendly to fans forearms. Still, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai may be a slam dunk for fans of the series who now have the opportunity not just to watch the sagas, but to participate in them. --Maile Bohlmann Pros: Reviews (207)
There are several modes in this game. You can either enter the story mode, (which helps you unlock characters) fight in a tournament or even battle against another friend. At first you are given access to the main characters such as Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo. However, these few select characters at the beginning changes quickly as you are able to acquire others such as Freeza, Cell, Hercule, Great Saiyaman, Trunks, Captain Ginyu, Antroid 16, Android 17, Android 18, Android 19, Dodoria, Raditz, Nappa, and Zarbon. However, despite the amount of characters you can play as, (23) there are no characters from the Majin Buu Saga which would include, Goten and Buu. There is also no Android 20 which would've been another great character. Budokai is a highly recommended game whether you like DragonballZ or are just looking for another 1 on 1 fighting game. This game also has 3D graphics, which takes away from the actual look of what DragonballZ really looks like, but the graphics are still well done. Pros: Cons: Other recommendations for great DragonballZ fighter games is:
